Brought my Mazda in because the dealer told me I needed new rear brakes. This shop quoted me way less so I came here for that and requested a few other services. This shop was honest enough to tell me my brakes did NOT need to be done, and only did the other services I requested. I will definitely be back when it is actually time to have the brakes done. Lets start by saying that we viewed "Best of Jeffco 2012" to help determine a good repair shop for basic maintenance. Warning- THEY DO NOT KNOW how to change oil on a car. After dropping the car off at 730 am on a Saturday after we had made an appointment we went in to pick up the car at 4:30pm. We had the Brake pads changed and an oil change. They were just finishing up with the car and we were told they had to test drive the car. We witnessed the mechanic fly out of the parking lot only to return moments later stop get out- call other mechanics over only to have them PUSH the car back into the bay. We were told that there were two issues still-1. The brake dust cover was rubbing against the rotor and needed to be reassembled; 2. The oil filter was leaking and they needed to redo the oil change. He admitted that some oil had spilled on the exhaust and it would smell for a day. We then paid and went home. My girlfriend leaves the next morning at 5 am for work and comes home at 4:30 pm. I ask her how did it run and she tells me it seemed good. Great I said. I am glad they made the corrections to their mistakes. So I notice a large puddle of oil in my driveway now- hmmm I have her open the hood- what do I find? I find the oil cap sitting on the battery and the entire engine compartment is coated in oil. I check the oil level and there isn't one drop of oil in the car. She just drove 40 miles back and forth to work. To make matters worse my girlfriend tells me when she gets in the car at the shop the night before to leave and the radio is now set for a new station and the volume is set at 20 out of 25 on the volume. Do yourself a favor- do not go to this place for any work. Even if it was the worst day of that one mechanics career- that could be the mechanic that works on your car. read more
