I have been going to Valvoline for years, even though it is no longer anywhere near where I live or work. This is the only place I will get my oil changed. I have had negative experiences at other places that nickle and dime you, upsell you or put you last in the queue when you turn down the upsells. This place is different. They have always been very clear about what is included in my oil change. They check my tires, lights & turn signals. They have offered additional services, like windshield wiper replacement, but with zero sales pressure. And, they figure out how to turn off that obnoxious "service" light that every new car makes impossible to reset. I love that I can stay in my car throughout the service and take off as soon as they are done. read more

I just had a great experience at this Valvoline. They were able to get me in right away. They weren't pushy about extras, which I always hate. Also, I didn't have to get out of my car which was great. That must be new because the last time I was there I remember going to a waiting area. Being in the car made the process quicker and I could communicate better with the technicians. The manager, Mark, introduced himself and was super professional and friendly. Man, this is my new spot for getting my oil changed. I pulled up, waited, and got my oil changed all within maybe 35-45 minutes. That is fantastic in my book. They did little safety checks and filled my windshield wiper fluid while I waited for the service to be started. I got the middle oil change service option which included the synthetic blend oil. I used a coupon from their website and got $15 off so the whole thing costed $69. For being able to wait in my car and see the mechanics do everything AND get it done within that time is well worth the cost. Some things that people might be wondering. They do use a vacuum to pull out the old oil. This doesn't bother me but I know some people might want to know this. They did offer to change my air filter but it looked incredibly clean, not easy to sell a new one with it looking like that. The mechanic offered but didn't push the sale at all which I appreciated. They didn't make me feel bad about using the coupon at all. It is nice to get an overview of how your car is doing when dropping off for an oil change. Some places do this and some places don't. This place doesn't really. I'm sure if something was glaringly obvious they would say but nothing like the safety report that I have received from other chain oil change places. I bring both mine and my wife's car to Valvoline instant oil change and for the last three years I have had nothing but amazing, fast and professional service. Huge reason for today's survey is because an extremely rude and entitled car owner was yelling at one of the workers for reasons having to do nothing with the service or oil at all... they were extremely rude and I know those entitled liberals expect the world to revolve around themselves. So I live leaving positivity when these negative Nancy's come around. I came in for a simple oil change. I was long-time returning customer. Waited 30+ mins inside the bay. Other customers were coming and going. The young man that was working with me returned to my lowered window to state he got busy with "something else". The proceeded to tell me that there "was a problem". They stripped the drain plug on my vehicles oil pan, (though came out and told me directly). Then I was told it is my problem and will prob cost like $300 for a new oil pan! I was told was due to the fact my car is sooo old! (I have a 2007 Honda CR-V - is that old and a very common vehicle). Was told basically we damaged your vehicle... too bad... you fix it... be on your way! Never once being addressed by a manager or a senior level employee. Being in disbelief and upset, I called Valvoline help line make a claim to have my vehicle fixed and paid for by Valvoline since they damaged it. After a 2 week wait, I received a call back. The "girl" on the other end had made her mind to deny my claim before she even spoke with me. Her contempt and dislike for me as a customer was apparent from the first moment of the call. I was again told to "go away... " by Valvoline, in no uncertain terms. DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS LOCATION OR ANY OTHER! If you do, beware! If anything goes wrong it your problem alone. I had a good experience coming here. There was a little wait but if you've ever been to a mechanic I'll gladly wait 15 minutes in my car vs 2 hours in a waiting room. They do a basic inspection and offer a few extra things you can have done. But my mechanic wasn't pushy about it at all which is nice when all you want is the oil change. $55 for conventional oil $99 I think for synthetic and they usually have $5-$10 coupons online so it's a good value I think. The last place I got it changed took 8 hours so yeah this is the place if you only need an oil change or fluid change. read more

I have had such great customer service at most Valvoline instant oil change locations. I just moved back to Colorado and unfortunately I will not be back to this one. The oil change was done but nothing else. Tire pressure was not checked, the lights were not checked. I know that this is a part of what I pay for. I always appreciated the safety protocols that these places took for the safety of the employees. Like taking the keys out of the ignition while they are performing the service, which I did after I realized that I was not asked to do. This morning I showed up with no cars and told me they don't have oil for my vehicle.. imagine that, an oil change business that doesn't have oil in stock. Brought in a car for a regular old oil change, they offered to refill our tires but didn't even attempt to. they forgot to close the oil pan so all the oil leaked out of the engine so they had to come and help us on the side of the road which I guess was the only upside. They said they fixed the issue but still didn't fill up the oil to the correct level so now the oil pressure light flickers. They also said they would refund us for the oil change but never did. I love going here! It's so convenient especially with a toddler, to be able to pull up and get an oil change and not wait inside a small cramped waiting room like other oil change places typically have. I recommend going on a weekday it is less busy. Weekends there can be a long wait but IMO it is still worth it. I try to get coupons to bring in from the mail as it can get pricy as my vehicle takes synthetic oil. Definitely check them out :) read more

I was hesitant to go here because of the recent bad reviews, but my experience was very pleasant. Total time was about 30 mins from initial wait to standard oil change (had 2 cars in front of me when I arrived). They had an associate do the basic light/fluid checks while waiting in line and the oil change was super efficient. Moisses was super professional and friendly. I went at 5pm on a Thursday so I'm not sure how busy they usually are as this was my first time at this location but I will definitely be back. read more

This was my second time getting my oil changed here, and both experiences have been great. I was approached with politeness and great customer service. I've read through some other reviews saying they never received light checks or tire pressure checks. That wasn't the case for all of the cars while I was there. The slowest service I've ever had at a Valvoline. They had me pull in and turn off my car and didn't do anything for at least 15 minutes while I sat in a hot car. Nobody asked me what oil I wanted or let me know a time estimate while I waited. They didn't check anything they normally do like like tire pressure and blinkers and air filters. I really enjoyed my visit! It took about an hour and a half to get done and i got multiple things done for my car. It says instant but I definitely don't expect any shorter than an hour. What i enjoy is being able to stay in my car while everything gets done. I grabbed some Popeyes and made my brother come with me for entertainment. I was able to respond to my emails while also watching everything that was happening. I remember Stan taking care of me in the beginning and unfortunately forgot the guy who took care of me primarily- but they were all fantastic! I enjoyed watching the new guy(s) being taught. I don't think there's anything "incompetent" about that. I noticed that they really just cared about making sure they knew what they were being told to do before they touched my car- which is exactly what you want when someone's learning and working on your car. read more

I was turned away June 17 because oil pump was overheating and they were not able to pump oil. I came back today June 18. For standard routine oil change. After a long sometime above the bay. I heard a screw gun ratcheting down below. I over heard employees saying that bolts were put on to tight from previous oil change and screws were snapped from my skid plate. Shortly after an employee named James came out and said he did not snap bolts and that they have random bolts laying around one just randomly fell. And told me no bolts were snapped. Then a few moments later he showed me 2 Bolts. Later James then told someone down below to "zip in the skid plate " and employee down low then said "zip tie it" and James said no zip in the 2 bolts. I was then shortly showed a dip stick from James saying "there's no oil in there" and then said "I'm kidding, we'll get oil in there shortly " And not once did I see them put oil in" then showed me a dip stick that seemed to just be smeared on there. I was then cleared to leave. I had a gut feeling that something was not right. I pulled over after a few blocks and checked my oil again and it was low. Then I crawled under and found that my oil cover panel was missing. And screws were actually broke off for my skid plate. 2 screws broken 1 screw missing and my push clip missing. Along with another bolt broken off that shouldn't have even been touched. And I can tell that they assuming James tried to drill It out .. I pull back up and talk to jaylin (who was helpful) and told him the issue. James then came out and asked what's going on. I told James all the information and then he proceeded to lie to me about how he didn't even touch the front screws (the broken ones) and only how he touched the back ones. And then he told me there was no oil cover panel. Then James went back into the bay. I step over to my car to call my wife and jaylin walks up and tells me to pull around and they'll get my oil panel cover back on and oil topped off. I then tell jaylin "James just told me he never took it off" and Jaylin replies saying "this is why I told him to shut the fuck up". So I pull around behind 2 vehicles and have to wait my turn again. When my time finally comes up I head into the bay and a female with the name starting with a V puts my plate panel on. Then Jaylin has me pop my hood to add more oil. James then comes over pulling on the oil pump cord and says 5w-20. And I speak up out my window and say "what oil are you putting in" and he tells me 5w-20. And I tell him this vehicle does not take 5w-20 oil. (He has not put any of the wrong oil in). He then turns the computer towards me showing me that it takes 5w-20 and I happen to notice that the vehicle they had pulled up was the 2011 Toyota rav4 that was in front of me. I then told James "you need to pay attention to what oil is going into people's vehicles" I then called Jaylin over as he was at the front of the car and told him that James almost put the wrong oil in and if it wasn't for me there would have been a bigger issue. I told him he needs to let James know that he needs to pay attention. I have pictures that are time stamped from when I got home of the broken bolts and missing push clip. Now I am going to have to take this to a Toyota dealer and have them fix this. And I should not have to pay for this and that I want a refund. I spent 2 hours at this location. Today I came in to ask if they could fix my skid plates that the snow had torn off the bottom of my 2013 Civic. They did not hesitate to help, got me cleaned up right away. First off--I never leave bad reviews. But this warrants an exception. I got my oil changed here about a month ago. It took an incredibly long time, which isn't that huge of a deal, but I was there for an hour and a half... Then, a few days ago, I started to smell burning coming from my engine. I brought it in to a mechanic after noticing it was leaking oil; the smell was ungodly and oil was leaking like crazy. The mechanic just called and asked if I had my oil changed recently. I said yeah, why? Well, there was a hole in my oil filter, apparently left by whoever was in there last. Either they put a hole in it or left it there because they couldn't get the filter off. Either way, totally unacceptable! Never coming back to a Valvoline. read more

A 30-minute oil change at Valvoline at 92nd & Wadsworth cost me 4 hours of fishing out a broken dipstick and locating / picking up a new one far away. It wouldn't bug me as much, but they blamed 'whoever worked on it last', e.g. my wife, who checked the oil 2 weeks ago. The dipstick was fine then. Not cool to pass the buck. The vehicle is 9 years old and I get it - stuff breaks. Customers understand. Just take responsibility and I wouldn't be writing this. It could be they took this approach because I pushed back on their up-selling (I don't need a new air & cabin filter every oil change) and asked them to not touch the tires because the manufacturer recommended air pressure is too low (10 psi under max). I'm a car guy, but busy. A little respect would have gone farther with me. read more

There is nothing convenient or "instant" about this drive through oil change. I have tried coming here at different times and different days for a simple oil change and every time I have waited nearly 3 hours. DO NOT BELIEVE THE COMPANY'S RESPONSES ON OTHER REVIEWS, I have never seen 15 minutes per vehicle. Ever. AT LEAST 30-45 minutes per vehicle, and if those vehicles are getting another service, then double that. And there's no way out of the waiting line once there are cars behind you. Complete disaster. I've finally learned my lesson after giving this place several chances. Not worth the money or time, especially as a working person with no time to waste. Note about Valvoline's response: there was PLENTY of employees there but they were slow, some just walking around not doing anyway, and some seemed incompetent.
