Took my 2017 ford focus in to get diagnosed and they couldn't even figure out what's wrong with it just told me all the other things that I already knew it needed got my front shocks done by them and got alignment and "free oil change" and they charged me $200 for diagnostic fee and they didn't find shit out still feel like I deserve a $200 refund after paying $1300 basically for front shocks and For them to tell me they don't whata wrong with my car and gave me "free oil change" and charged $99 shop supplies i did way more work on my Lexus and payed less then I got charged here and I didn't get charged for shop supplies when I went to Japanese car care honestly fee like I should've payed $1000 for all that but got over charged and extra 300 almost read more

I have major trust issues with mechanics from past bad experiences and CO Tires and Service has definitely earned my trust. I always double check everything with my brother and friend (car guy and mechanic whom I DO trust but we don't live in the same state. I don't know much about cars so I always check with them). They checked the photos, pricing, and said everything looked fair and accurate. I was treated with kindness and respect, everyone there seems so cheerful, and my car is in great shape. I really wanted to trust this place because I had a friend recommend it. They saw me as easy picking a because I'm a petite woman in my early twenties, and they did not hold back with salesman tomfoolery. I CAUGHT them in a lie and when I called them on it I got the old "lemme check it real quick... I could've sworn it was working when I did the inspection". My truck needed 4 new tires, alignment, and one lug nut replaced. Price was quoted, agreed upon, but only tires were replaced. No alignment rendered. 6 lug nuts were replaced instead of one. And they were replaced on a good wheel. Instead of $8-10 per lug nut, I was charged $20. $120 on a wheel with good lug nuts. Darnell, I was very disappointed in you bud! You blatantly tried to rip me off. Your receptionist was rude and unprofessional. I can not support your business nor recommend anyone to support your business. There is a fine line between ripping people off and being greedy. You just veered clearly toward the former. I could have paid $240 to have all 24 lug nuts replaced, to support you. I could have. For your information, I bought a whole set on Amazon for $50 and discount tires replaced them free of charge. read more

Finally a facility I can take our vehicles to and have confidence in the initial consultation and work to be performed. I was referred to Colorado Tire & Service due to yet another negative experience I was having with a vehicle at a different service provider. I appreciated the hands on personable approach executed by Jessi at Colorado Tire & Service at the Thornton location. I felt like we were on the same page after the initial consultation even though the issue I was having with the vehicle was not distinct and needed troubleshooting. This is a high end luxury vehicle that would be put into an open ended repair any where else for certain. I was impressed that Jessi came up with a distinct plan that proved to be very efficient with time, expense and success. In my vast experience I find in critical services it's not what these places say or do it's how they make you feel during the process and after. I feel the upmost confident with my vehicle after serviced by Colorado Tire & Service and recommend their service above everybody else. I heard grinding on my front brakes. So I took my car in to Colorado Tire and Service to get it inspected. They said I needed to replace the rear rotors. I thought that was odd; but I trusted them. However, the grinding continued. They told me to "wash underneath the car". I tried that, but the grinding continued. So I finally tried a different place. Turns out my front brakes are done. I have to replace the rotors too. It only takes a basic inspection to see this issue. Colorado Tire and Service failed me badly and cost me a lot of extra money. Screw this place. read more

Took my car in for an oil change. I had a 9am appointment but dropped off the car at 8:15am. I was told that their was one car ahead of me. I came back at 10:30am and they had not started on the car. They told me that one of their bays was not usable due to a dead car. They got the car in and did the oil change in about 20 minutes while we waited. Overall the shop seemed a little chaotic, it was dirty and not super well organized. I will look for some additional options for future service. read more

My tire pressure low light went on after a long road trip. I took my car into the place I bought my tires originally to fix the problem. The day after they "fixed" the issue, my light started blinking. Anyhow, I went to Colorado Tire and Service because it was close to my house and I wanted to get the care in right away. Talk about an awesome experience. These guys helped me out a ton. They filled my tire, let me know what was wrong. After all of that, they didn't charge me a dime or try to sell me on anything. My car was experiencing severe shaking and I feared the worst, and Lance completely took care of me and examined my car and determined that all I needed was two new tires and they did the work quickly and professionally! Lance did not try to upsell me or pressure me into more than I needed to fix the problem and now my car drives great again! I will take my car there from now on as well as my wife's car. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Colorado Tire & Service is a sham! Apparently this place does all kinds of auto work but I wouldn't even trust them to balance my tires again. Let me explain. Last summer I went to Colorado Tire and Service to swap my winter tires for summers tires. My snow tires were removed from my rims and summer tires were mounted and balanced. After leaving the shop I noticed a slight vibration in my steering wheel while driving at highways speeds. It felt as if I was losing a bit of traction due to it and because so was a safety issue. First thing the next morning, around 9:15, I took it back to Darnell to have the tires rebalanced. I needed it done asap due to the safety risk at highway speeds. Darnell proceeded to tell me that I could make an appointment to have it looked at later in the afternoon or next day. I guess safety wasn't at the top of Darnell's list of priorities. Balancing all four of my tires only takes a qualified shop 30 minutes to complete, MAX! I ended up making an appointment. I came back for my appointment and was told to wait for an additional 30 minutes. He blamed late start on a rep talking to the desk clerk. After he takes a couple of my wheels off I noticed that the socket was finely scratching my wheels where the lug nuts were. I brought this up to Darnell's attention and he brushed it off as being "unavoidable!" He then told me, "if you think it can be done without scratching then you should do it yourself and show me." I told him that I'm paying HIM to do it without scratching them. He scoffed it off as if what I said was silly for thinking such a thing. Minutes later I noticed a plastic coated socket on Darnell's impact driver. Seems there was a way to do it without scratching them, by using the right equipment! Minutes later, as Darnell is completing the rebalance, I noticed a substantial amount of gouging near on all of my center hubs and outer lip. Without asking, I assumed that Darnell would also tell me that this damage is unavoidable and that I should do it myself and show him. With that thought in mind I thought it better to just leave and follow up with the regional manager. As I got onto the interstate I noticed that now my steering wheel is throbbing at 45 mph, an even slower speed than before. Meaning that the balance was worse now than previously. My car now felt even more unsafe and needed to be fixed asap. I immediately took my car to another tire shop to have the wheels checked. The new shop saw the gouges and documented that the wheels were marred up near the center hubs as well at the lip of the outer rim. This type of damage could have only been caused by someone mounting my tires. When they rebalanced my wheels, on a Hunter Road Force Balancer, it was determined by the shop foreman and manager that they were all grossly overweighted: RF & LR wheel by 5 ounces, RR by 4 ounces, and the LF by 3 ounces. Not only were they overweighted but they were also static balanced rather than dynamic balanced. This mean that they only put weights in one place. To balance a wheel properly weights should be placed to two separate places, the outer and inner flanges of the wheel. I only had weights attached to the inner flange or rim. The new shop reported that this is an outdated method and is one reason why Colorado Tire used so much weight. I got into contact with the owner via email and was told that he would call me. He never did. I followed up with the owner via email but was ignored. I then went to the Centennial store location to speak with the manager. Paul looked over my rims and took pictures. He assured that I would hear from the owner within a few days and that I would have to wait for a refund on the shoddy balancing job previously done. I was never contacted by anyone or given a refund. I know this business has a ton of positive reviews but this was my experience. I understand that everyone can have a bad day. I expect for a business to own up to it when it happens. Rant over. read more

They really are awesome, and you should trust their high reviews! I took my car in for brakes and ended up also having the sway bar replaced. They gave me transportation around while my car was getting fixed. Any repair they checked with me first, and I really appreciated that when they recommended I replace the sway bar they said it wasn't an absolute must but it would be a good idea. So many places will use scare tactics to get you into a repair, but when a mechanic just explains it and leaves the options in your hands it is refreshing. I also really appreciated that they took the time to explain the repairs and were so matter of fact during the whole process. A lot of the other repair shops in Thornton/North Glenn will try to milk you for everything you've got. When you find a good place like this, it is a gem to have in your pocket, and I personally will go back to them for any future repairs. read more

about a week after I told them I told them I live on a fixed budget because i have a learning disability and I live in my car they charged me $908 just for a starter replacement I had no choice because of course I could not sleep on their property .....whenever I tell someone they all gave me the same response and you could imagine what that is ... it left me with $98 for the month but I had no choice... I just moved here and they are the only automotive shop I found so I went back for a diagnostic because of my engine light ...they told me it would cost over $1000 just for a tuneup I went through the itemized checklist on the quote and looked at the phenomenally outrageous cost per spark plug I didn't really think about what I called Napa for the price because that is who Colorado Tire and service goes through... call them yourself and ask them you want a quote for a tuneup yourself and ask them what the price of one spark plug they were charging ... maybe after reviewing this they will give you something more reasonable if they don't then go somewhere else if they do then they took advantage of me because of my learning disability ...I called around and got ahold of Mountain View automotive on pearl st and got a more realistic quote to do the tuneup which I jumped at ...a tune up involves just swapping out plugs, wires, cap, and rotor... it ran perfectly and I got my omissions done finally... just let it sink in if you're reading this again they wanted to charge over $1000 for that read more

I had been looking for a reliable mechanic for a while after recently moving to Colorado and I'm happy to say I found one in Darnell and his crew at Colorado Tire & Service. Very friendly service, kept me updated throughout the day on my car and what was needed for it. They thoroughly explained each issue and gave me options on when/how I could get them remedied. The prices were fair and the labor was pretty quick (got an oil change, battery replacement, brake adjustment, and windshield wiper fluid hose adjustment all done in a day). Great place! I busted a hose while driving and this was the closest place to me. It didn't cost too much and would have been done that day if I hadn't gotten there about 5 mins till closing time. It was done the next morning but I couldn't make it there for a few days. They had no problem with keeping my car until I could make it up there. In the morning I called in to schedule an oil change and Darnell put me down for noon, saying it would only be an hour or so. Lo and behold they finished within an hour! Darnell was really helpful - he only talked facts and was very transparent on what was being done. I also found it nice that he showed me the pricing before I had the job done, and the price even included tax. It's nice seeing that and not getting a different bill when you're getting ready to go. I was expecting a classic "we inspected the car and you need (insert expensive operation)". I was pleased to not have gotten that. He said the battery failed a load test but it wasn't a big deal and that I should replace it soon. He didn't even force a quote on me or tell me scary stories about why a weak battery could be fatal. Took my truck there to get new tires and had a great experience. Was able to get better tires than were previously on my truck for a better price! Was told previously by another repair shop that I needed new brakes soon. Darnell checked the brakes and told me exactly how much wear was left and they were fine and didn't need to be replaced at this time.
