Food in this place is delicious. We ordered lots of things and it was all tasty. Unfortunately our 90 minutes drive was for the tomahawk, even though they have tomahawk but they can't cook it as a whole, they can cook it cut in pieces. I understand people may be ok with that, but not for me. They said they can cook it but will be 35 to 40 minutes and we said that is perfectly fine and understood. But 20 minutes in, the Chef came in gracefully to share that he can't cook it, and he will bring it now, and if we slice it and don't like it, he can then cook the slices. Me and my son thought that we should be able to eat it, even if it was a bit on the rare side, and we did. It wasn't the perfect situation for us, which is the 3 stars, but it wasn't bad. Moral of the story, if you like your tomahawk cooked in one piece, this is not the place for you. From the moment we arrived, the entire team--from the receptionists to our server Serdar and the support staff--treated us as honored guests. Every interaction felt warm and genuine. The food was exceptional. We started with a mezze platter featuring delicious spreads, pastries, and felafel, followed by a mixed green salad that showcased some of the best burrata we've ever had, topped with tiny, sweet berries. Our main courses were equally memorable: a stunning Fesenjoon pomegranate-walnut chicken stew with a perfect balance of slightly sweet and tart, and a side of basmati rice studded with almonds, pistachios, berries, and orange peel. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, unique, and delicious. But what truly made the evening special was the service and genuine hospitality. Serdar, our server, was remarkably warm and attentive. First time here as it was recommended by a friend of mine. The service was great and we were greeted as soon as we walk through the door. It our first nice dinner date with our 8 month old daughter and my anxiety was through the roof. But they led us into a separate dining area which was equally as nice and much more secluded/ quiet which we actually loved. We got the bread service, and that was awesome. It was baked fresh and super delicious. I got the dry aged ribeye and my lady got the regular ribeye and they were cooked to perfection. For sides it does come with roasted potatoes, but we added mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. The drinks were really great as well. For Those that have a young one/kids, this was a really great spot to go to. Lovely local steakhouse that took my reservations on the same day! I read the reviews and I was very excited to experience the spin on their menu. As we walked in the door, the host and several others greeted us kindly. I was with one colleague and waiting for my clients to arrive. They seated us anyway which I really appreciated! The space was very nice and the temperature in the restaurant and ambiance were perfect. We enjoyed a cocktail as we waited and a few nice chats with staff as they brought us water and drinks. And they were very cheap looking and feeling. Did not expect that at a place like this. Ordered the Koobideh plate with half rice and half salad. Meaning, instead of a full serving of rice, I requested half of it to be salad. I do this at most Persian restaurants. They did not disclose that they charge for the salad...even though you're ordering a half serving of rice. Either the wait staff is clueless or it's their policy not to disclose. Perhaps they don't do the half and half - then say so when a customer requests it. On to the koobideh. Sooo dry! I've had many koobideh's in my life, this was probably one of the worst. It was so hard and dry that I had to wash it down with water every two bites. No, I don't ask for it well done. Not only that, it had no flavor. On top of that, it tasted somewhat sourish. Koobideh should be juicy and full of flavor, not sour at all. I was NOT expecting that from an establishment like this. Especially not with the prices they offer. Also, our waiter changed without any announcement or introduction. Someone else just showed up and started waiting our table and bringing the bill. No big deal. Overall, we were very disappointed, The quality is not even close to the prices they are charging. I hope the manager/owner read this and takes note. I'd be happy to elaborate if they reach out. And I don't say anything while there because I was a guest of someone else and I don't want to embarrass anyone. I did mention about the salad, no good explanation was given. read more

Arya officially becomes my favorite steak place in Palo Alto. The service was amazing and foods were top notch. I even enjoyed the appetizers more than the steak. We ordered prawn, lamb chops, meatballs, tomato salad to share. Everything was perfect I had dry aged ribeye with scallops for entree and it was delicious. The scallops were my favorite. Good wine selection and cocktails were good as well. Plus points, the reservation process was so easy even for the big group of 10 like mine. To me it's a plus since I have hard time finding reservations for big group last minute. Give it a try! I'm sure you will love the experience at Arya. read more
