Enjoyed both the excellent Persian cuisine and warm ambiance, but our particular server's repeated attempts to upsell us on additional dishes was slightly off-putting... As it was, the portions were quite hearty, yielding abundant leftovers for our party of 2. Our picks: Appetizers - Mast o Khiar (yogurt & cucumber dip) - Grilled Octopus Entrees - Chicken & Beef Kabob Combo (boneless chicken, beef koobideh, grilled tomato) - for an upcharge, we substituted Persian "Shirazi" Salad (tomato, persian cucumber, onion, lemon dressing) for the basmati & saffron rice that usually accompanies this dish - Ghormeh Sabzi (herb, beef, dried limes, kidney beans, rice) Dessert - Dubai Cheesecake - Turkish Coffee

Arya Steakhouse feels like one of those hidden gems you're glad you discovered. It's more low-key compared to bigger steakhouse chains, but the quality absolutely holds its own. The steaks were cooked perfectly -- tender, flavorful, and exactly how we asked. You can tell they focus on doing the basics really well, without overcomplicating things. What stood out to me most was the atmosphere. It's elegant but not overly formal, which makes it perfect for both date nights and relaxed dinners. Service was warm and attentive, and the staff made sure everything flowed smoothly throughout the meal. Overall, if you're looking for a high-quality steakhouse in Palo Alto without the overwhelming crowd or hype, Arya is definitely worth trying.

We had Ribeye. Lamb rack. Sides Mac and cheese, seasonal veggies ( need to cook a tad longer to hard). And garlic mash potatoes.

We wanted to try something new and chose this place. We did make reservations in advance. The place was very nice and clean. Some of the seating is pretty close for navigating through. Service was nice and helpful. We enjoyed our food and drinks.

Seriously soooo so good! Probably one of the best steak I've had in the bay! Their bone in New York steak was cooked to perfection! I also got their chicken and beef kabob with adas polo rice which tasted so good and unique. Our server Jennifer was also amazing! Great service that definitely made our experience 10 times better. She was super nice and helpful. Definitely make a reservation and check it out!

I stopped by on a weekday for their lunch. They had a lunch menu, which was 3 course for $36. That was excellent value. Everything I had tasted authentic and was flavorful. Borani bademjan was my favorite appetizer. That was mashed eggplant, and was super flavorful. Sambosa was my other appetizer and that was excellent as well. Fesenjoon stew was rich and flavorful. That was a new kind of taste for me and I liked it. Braised lamb shank was my other entree. Lamb was cooked tender. Soup base was thin and flavorful. Persian ice cream was an interesting kind of ice cream to try. It was good. Baklava was my other dessert, and it came with a scoop of ice cream. That was a nice dessert as well. Overall lunch special is really good value.

Our experience here definitely was outstanding from start to finish. Parking usually is not a hassle as there are a couple of parking lots that can be used depending on the time of the day, for parking needs. Richard was our host, and he was absolutely amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced throughout the evening, making sure everything flowed smoothly. We started with a side of vegetables that turned out to be vibrant, colorful, and beautifully prepared. Each vegetable tasted fresh and well-seasoned, making it a standout side rather than an afterthought. We ordered the Ash Soup (Aash Reshteh) along with that and it definitely was comforting, hearty, and full of depth. Warm, flavorful, and made with care exactly what you want in a traditional Persian soup. Ready to eat some steak, we ordered the Dry-Aged Ribeye . The presentation was stunning, and the steak itself was cooked to perfection rich, tender, and packed with flavor. Every bite was fresh, juicy, and deeply satisfying. Along with that we also ordered Fesenjoon, beautifully balanced with its signature sweet-and-tangy notes, tasting rich, fresh, and incredibly comforting. The ambiance was awesome and it definitely was elegant yet welcoming, making it a great spot for a special lunch/dinner/meal or a relaxed upscale evening. Exceptional food, thoughtful presentation, warm ambiance, and Richard's fantastic service definitely made for a memorable dining experience.

Started off with the pomegranate meatballs and it was super rich and meaty. I would get it again! We got the filet mignon and kebab combo. The filet mignon was life changing and perfect, and definitely stole the show, but the kebabs weren't fatty as I normally like it. Ended the night with a complimentary anniversary dessert! I would love to try more of their steak! Service was friendly and very attentive.

We wanted to take our daughter to a nice dinner while visiting her at Stanford and give her a break from dorm food. I found this restaurant was close to campus and offered a nice variety of options for our family. Food 4/5: we ordered an assortment of items, including the Caesar salad, the mushroom soup, the Wagyu burger, the salmon, the bread basket, and the shrimp appetizer. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Service 5/5: from the moment we checked in and we brought to our table the service was top-notch. Granted we were there at 5 PM and only the second table seated, however, as the restaurant filled up while we were there, we noticed each table had several servers attending to them. Excellent excellent service! Vibe 5/5: I loved the ambience with the music in the background and the decor - plus everything was absolutely spotless, including the bathrooms. Tips: if you cannot find street parking, there is a free parking garage directly behind the restaurant. There are also 3 tables outside on the street nicely tucked into private alcoves. And I noticed several private rooms for large parties and events. I am making a mental note already!

Lovely local steakhouse that took my reservations on the same day! I read the reviews and I was very excited to experience the spin on their menu. As we walked in the door, the host and several others greeted us kindly. I was with one colleague and waiting for my clients to arrive. They seated us anyway which I really appreciated! The space was very nice and the temperature in the restaurant and ambiance were perfect. We enjoyed a cocktail as we waited and a few nice chats with staff as they brought us water and drinks. When everyone arrive the food started to come and so did the great Willamette Valley Pinot we ordered! The service was outstanding and so were all our dishes. From steaks to more regional dishes, everyone was impressed. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food: Very Good. Our Favorite Persian Restaurant. The Chicken & Beef Koobideh was juicy and tender. Service: Excellent, "SHOUT OUT" & Thank You To Michael & Sonia for the "Excellent" Service and for being so Friendly. Keep it up you guys. Ambiance. Very Clean & Very Nice

Soooooo glad we tried this place. The service was excellent, drinks were phenomenal however my personal favorite was the sambosas!! Light crispy and a slight touch of lime. Ugh I need that recipe. The Lamb chops were second favorite. Not too hyped about the creamy crab gnocchi though. We got there right before it got busy. Ambiance was great too.

Food was sooo good cooked to perfection. Our server Richie was amazing and sweet. He recommended dishes from each sections and I got the sambosa and the chicken and beef combo. And they were delish portion size was great! He was so warm and kind and we got to know each other very well!! The drinks were great love spell, lychee martini and the Layla majnun. He was honestly so great and welcoming and you never run out of water. Like seriously they keep it refilled at all times. The baklava is great I love baklava but it's for an acquired taste. The restaurant is super pretty and the lighting is prefect that it's not too bright and not too dark would def come here again!

We came back this restaurant since we were in the neighborhood. Once again the food was delicious. We tried some of their other options and were very pleased. Service was just as good as last time and was top notch. We love the atmosphere of this place and the overall vibe when we come here. Definitely glad we gave it another try.

With a group that large, accuracy and organization really matter, which is why it was concerning when our server insisted on taking all of our orders without writing anything down. As expected, several of our meals came out wrong. We were understanding and gave the restaurant a chance to fix the mistakes, but even after the food was remade, a few of the orders were still incorrect. That made the situation even more frustrating. On top of that, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes, which is a long time when people in your group are sitting there hungry while others have already been served. What made the experience worse was that nothing was done to make up for the inconvenience. There was no meaningful apology, no effort to compensate for the repeated mistakes, and no sense of urgency in resolving the issue. The food itself was mediocre at best, so unfortunately it did not make up for the poor service. Overall, the service was disorganized, the food was underwhelming, and the entire experience was frustrating. I would not return based on this visit.

The Sultana Combo looks like not a lot of food, but is actually a lot of food! 3 adults ate this, had their fill, but still had some leftovers for the next day. My favorite part was the rice, other people's favorite parts were the veggies or the soup (we don't usually eat a lot of protein, but the protein was also good!). It's not an elevated, elegant dish, especially not to-go-ed, but it's hearty, homey, and filling. There wasn't a part we didn't like or didn't think was worth the money. They have ample indoor and some outdoor patio seating; on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, seems lime many people opted for the outdoor seating. While waiting for my pick up order, there was one party in front of me that waited for (apparently) an excessive amount of time because the kitchen was backed up. The workers were extremely kind, and even gave them baklava as an apology! Small things like that show that the store cares more for the community than just getting orders out. My only gripe is that I felt like everything was extremely salty--the three of us were chugging water all night after our meal. I think the salt levels work well if there was plain rice or plain veggies, but when everything is salted so each part of the dish can be eaten alone, you end up feeling parched and bloated at the same time... not a good feeling. Regardless, recommend!!

The lavash was warm, soft, and paired well with the overall appetizer. For my main dish, I tried the Koobideh and chicken thigh combo to share. The Koobideh was tender and had a nice chew, the chicken thigh could've been a bit more tender/juicy, the roasted veggies gave the dish a nice crunch and the rice was prepared well. But, the overall dish felt like it was lacking seasoning/flavor and missing something maybe a sauce perhaps. I ended up putting some of the eggplant mixture on top of the Koobideh and chicken which gave it a bit more flavor since it was lacking. My husband ordered the bbq combo wrap which included both Koobideh and chicken along with onions and tomatoes. Same goes for the wrap, it was a solid wrap--but felt like it was missing something. I did enjoy the crispness of the wrap though. Would I come again? Probably not, as I've had better elsewhere. Service was friendly but they could've been a bit more attentive in refilling our water without having to ask especially since we were the only ones dining in at the time. Ordering is by QR code. Plenty of tables and floral decor, but it's a pass for me.

Next choice was Pasha, with a covered patio & hookah lounge, as well as a large open space inside. The lemonade cost $7, which I wasn't willing to pay unless it was at least 20 oz. Iced tea isn't listed on the menu, so I asked. Made of freshly brewed real tea the day, it was quite welcome. The tea was served in a cut/molded glass pineapple shaped glass. Truly practical: good grip, less likely to slip. Uncommon, but attractive. I ordered the salmon wrapped in lavash bread, minus onions & mayo. I asked for hummus bi tahini instead. There was lettuce, cucumber, & unripe tomatoes (It's tomato season, folks, but most restaurant produce suppliers just sell for bulk, not necessarily peak/in season. That's a different, more costly supplier) inside the wrap, the char-grilled salmon just right. I'd say that even if I had eaten earlier. The salad was marinated (I think) red cabbage over lettuce, cukes, & pale tomato. The whole meal--no dessert--was really tasty and welcome. The staff was pleasant, the food was true to its eastern Mediterranean roots. While ostensibly Turkish, there were Armenian and Greek elements (erm, both done wrong by the Turks). I did get a top-off offer for my iced tea, which I happily accepted. My meal was just over $20, including tax. I'm going back next time I have a medical appointment at the Redwood City Stanford Clinics--or a special trip to Sigona's (after I e. As Kaiser offices & hospital are nearby, KP members can enjoy a pleasant meal at Pasha as well. Here, I hope, are photos of the iced tea glass, and the ceiling of the ladies' room. 5/22/26 Meal photo taken after I started to eat, in order to enjoy the fish while hot. In spite of using red onion instead of the whites of green onions, the tabbouleh was just right. The red onion dice didn't bite, as un- or slightly cooked onions do to me. The tomatoes were ripe, too. I have to take most of the tabbouleh and pita, and half the salmon home: portions bigger than stomach. Happy tum!

There was a lot of miscommunication between employees, one staff member told us one thing, then another employee came over and told us the opposite. It honestly felt unorganized and confusing, and when we tried to clarify, the interactions came across as rude rather than helpful. Before coming, we had already noticed the reviews were pretty mixed, with a lot of people praising the food but also many mentioning issues with the service. Sadly, after our experience, we can understand why. Customer service really sets the tone for the whole experience, and unfortunately the staff interaction alone was enough for us to decide to leave instead of staying to dine in. We genuinely wanted to give this place a fair chance since we drove so far for it, but the overall experience just didn't make us feel welcomed.
