Solid mother's day brunch here, a little price-y but definitely on the nicer side. We were seated quickly and service was fine. Lots of street parking in downtown Palo Alto. Cute outdoor seating as well. Some of the plates tended a bit more towards the salty side, and we enjoyed most of the food but we weren't wow'd. I'd be down to come back and try some more of their different mains and for their live music!

I was put in charge of finding a group lunch spot (a responsibility I do not take lightly), and after a bit of digging, landed on Meyhouse on Emerson in Palo Alto. As someone who likes Turkish food, this felt like a strong contender. Food: We started with the lahmacun which is made up of a thin Turkish flatbread topped with ground beef, tomato, onion, pepper, and garlic. It was beautifully thin and crispy, with just the right amount of topping. Honestly, add a small salad and you've got the kind of lunch that makes you feel satisfied. This lahmacun is one of the better versions I've had which made it extra tragic to learn it's a lunch-only situation. Why gatekeep happiness to daytime hours? For my entree, I ordered the Alinazik which was grilled tenderloin skewers over eggplant labneh. The beef was tender and the labneh was creamy, savory and a tad smoky. I saw that they offer a $44.95 prix fixe menu, which sounds great in theory, except for the small catch that everyone at the table has to commit. A bit of a "we ride together, we prix fixe together" situation which may not work depending on your dining companion(s) dietary restrictions. Atmosphere: The space is bright, airy, and stylish. The high ceilings resulted in lots of natural light, and a large bar that quietly suggests, "you could have a cocktail or two." One slightly odd note: The bathroom lighting is very dim. Like... "is this ambiance or did someone forget a switch?" kind of dim. Not a dealbreaker, just a curious contrast to the otherwise well-lit space. Overall: A solid pick for Turkish food in Palo Alto located off Emerson and a successful group lunch choice (I will be taking full credit). I'd happily come back to explore more of the menu. I'm already eyeing the Pirzola (bone-in lamb chops) or the Filet of Levrek (branzino) and maybe lobby for all-day lahmacun.

So yummy! I came here with my mom for a celebration and it's just delicious. We both agreed it was also some of the best service we've received in a long long time. I forget our waitresses name but she was a brunette who started off the night with a joke about going by another name if we didn't like her. She was amazing! I recommend getting the tasting menu, especially if you're unfamiliar with the cuisine. We loved the cold apps and the kebabs. The rice pudding dessert is an absolute killer.

Meyhouse is fantastic! I made a same-day lunch reservation for our party of 6. The interior was well-lit and elegantly decorated, with a large fish decor piece above the bar. We skipped drinks and ordered food right away, family-style. We started with the Girit, Kopoglu, Lahmacun, and Beef Manti. All of these were delicious! The Girit and Kopoglu went great with the complimentary fresh bread. Both the Lahmacun and Beef Manti were super flavorful and easy to share. After this, we ordered the Trio Borek, Acili Kebap Plate, and Ahtapot. The Trio Borek was a lot smaller than I'd expected and difficult to share as a group, but still tasty. The Ahtapot (octopus) was so perfectly cooked (not rubbery at all) and the Acili Kebap had great texture and flavor. Service was quick and seamless! Would happily return for more.

Kevin was really attentive and knowledgeable on the food. He gave great recommendations on food and drinks. Honestly everyone was super friendly and the food and experience was great.

I was completely impressed by this restaurant. I had lower expectations because I wasn't sure if the ambience is what makes this place popular but rest assured--every dish we had was amazing. The complimentary bread has an amazing almost chewy texture and it was great with all the yogurt in the various dishes. 1. Kopoglu (eggplant and peppers with yogurt) 5/5 This dish was super tasty and paired beautifully with the complimentary bread. 2. Beef turkmen manti (beef dumpling) 4.25/5 While this was delicious, I did feel like the price was quite steep at just 5 small dumplings for $20. I feel like there are other dishes that you could try that are more unique. 3. Side of aegean greens 4.5/5 Yum! Very tender and paired well with the beef 4. Alinazik (beef tenderloin) 5/5 Wow this beef was so tender and juicy. It sits on a bed of eggplant. This dish was probably the favorite of the night. 5. Mastika ice cream 4/5 It tastes almost minty/woods with a distinct cedar-like flavor. Pretty refreshing and you can tell that it's homemade!

Excellent service and amazing food at Meyhouse. We had a great time with truly fabulous collection of Greek and Turkish beers , lip smacking appetizer like the Hummus, Grilled eggplant with Greek yoghurt followed by main course of Fresh Branzino fish grilled and succulent chicken kebabs. Service particularly was great.

Came for Mother's Day lunch. Our server was so incredibly fun & nice. The atmosphere itself is beautiful, high ceilings with a lot of natural light. I have no complaints about the food. Everything we ordered was excellent. My favorite was the eggplant appetizer & the branzino fish.

    Pirzola, Levrek
    Cindy Z.

We started with muhammara, Türkmen mantı, and gavurdağı, and each dish was thoughtfully executed. The muhammara was deeply flavorful with a rich, nutty texture and subtle heat. The mantı were tender and comforting, and the gavurdağı was crisp, fresh, and well-balanced, cutting through the richness nicely. For mains, the pirzola was juicy, well-seasoned, and grilled just right. The levrek was clean, flaky, and simply prepared, letting the quality of the fish shine. Dessert was good - baklava was sweet, paired perfectly with the fragrant mastika ice cream. Overall, the food felt intentional, balanced, and true to a classic meyhane menu.

We came here for dinner on New Years Eve. Lots of places were offering NYE set menus, but we landed on this restaurant because it still kept their usual menu offerings. We felt like it was a nice place to celebrate without having to pay an exorbitant price. We had a reservation for 5:30 pm, but we arrived about 20 mins early. Despite that, the hostess sat us down at our table ahead of our reservation time. We wanted to explore a little bit of the menu, so we opted to share Turkish Manti, we each got our own entrees and sides (him the Dill Potato Wedges + Alinazik and me the Cemenli Tavuk + Limon Patates), and ended by sharing desserts (Sobiyet + Turkish ice cream). The evening started with complimentary fresh baked bread with their dipping sauce. Loved the bread, and they even offered to refresh our bread basket once we finished! The manti first came out and while the dish was delicious (nice chew on the dumplings, the beef and garlic sauce complemented each other so well), only 5 pieces was provided in the $19 appetizer, which was a little steep. The entrees and sides came out next. We enjoyed each our entrees, although I liked my Tavuk better since the chicken was pretty juicy. I tried a little bit of his Alinazik and the beef seemed a little dry but was still tasty. I also tried his potato wedges, and I personally liked them better than my limon patates. The patates packed a lot of herby flavor, which I think would better suit someone who enjoys an herb-packed dish. The desserts were wonderful though! I enjoyed the ice cream better since it wasn't as sweet and had that nice textural pull to it, but the Sobiyet is very rich in flavor and packed with that syrupy sweetness. A few bites of the Sobiyet was definitely more than enough for me! Our server was very attentive, regularly checking in on us and making sure all was going well. We really loved the service provided, and even on a packed evening, it felt well attended. A great way to celebrate NYE!

Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday and everything was so good. We ordered a variety of dishes and honestly, not a single miss. Gavurdağı - refreshing start Muhammara - one of my favorites of the night and perfectly spiced. We dipped it with the complimentary bread and it was so good Beef Manti - soft dumplings and light sauce Lamb Chops - juicy and delicious Levrek - my absolute favorite dish I'd come back just for this Birthday Baklava - a lovely surprise for the celebration Mastika Ice Cream - unique and refreshing, pairs well with the baklava Service was attentive, which made the birthday dinner even better. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a wonderful place for a special occasion. I can't wait to come back!

This was such a beautiful establishment with beautiful decor, and friendly staff. From the hostess to the server to the guys refilling the water and clearing the table. I enjoyed my lamb chops, which is something that I enjoy eating. I appreciate the fact they allowed me to have the sauce on the side because I wouldn't have liked it. As I tried to venture into other items I wasn't a fan of the sauce they give with the bread. Nor did I like the dumplings. The chicken dish had an amazing flavor. If you like Turkish food you will enjoy it.

Walking in through the curtain, you enter a large beautiful space with art placed through out. First impression- perfect vibe for a date night! We popped in without reservations and were fortunate to grab seats at the bar, as then tables quickly filled up. With my sister-in-law having a strong Turkish background, we let her order our spread... which means I can't tell you what exactly I had! What I do know- THIS is where you come to for a true authentic immersion into Turkish cuisine. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and left you wanting more (especially when you're sharing with others!) For my cocktail I ordered the Cappadocia Fire, which was a perfect mix of sweet/smokey/heat. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! I did take a few photos at least, though dimly lit. (The camera didn't always eat first this outing!)

Everything about this restaurant makes you want to return. First, the hospitality is just extraordinary. Levent is the kind of manager every restaurant wishes they had -- gracious, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. He has a way of making every guest feel valued and comfortable, like you are being welcomed into someone's home rather than just seated at a table. And Melissa is an absolute delight. She is attentive, kind, and so pleasant that she somehow makes a great meal feel even better. The food is spectacular. The flavors are vibrant, fresh, and deeply satisfying without feeling heavy. We especially love the kebabs, salads, sauces, and dips -- everything is beautifully prepared and full of flavor. And just when you think the meal cannot get any better, the coffee, tea, and desserts arrive and remind you that yes, you definitely needed those too. No regrets, only happiness. What keeps us loyal is that Anatolian Kitchen gets every part of the experience right: delicious food, warm service, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. Some places are worth trying once. This place is worth craving repeatedly.

WOW!! Never was a hugeee fan of Mediterranean food until I tried Mazra for the first time and here…read moreare my thoughts: FOOD: Garlic Rotisserie Chicken (10/10): My favorite dish! The chicken was incredible; perfectly cooked, moist, tender, and not at all dry. It paired beautifully with the highly addictive garlic toum and orange hot sauce. The dish also came with a side of pickled vegetables which added a nice balance to the meat. At $18 for a whole chicken that can feed two people, it's an excellent deal! Whole Cauliflower (10/10): The BEST cauliflower I've ever had! It was roasted to perfection, giving it a delicious charred, smoky flavor. The fragrant lemon-tahini dressing added a bright acidity that balanced the dish beautifully. I would absolutely order this every time! Grilled Lamb Chops Plate (9/10): The lamb chops were a bit overcooked, but it was still really tender and flavorful. I only wish there had been more lamb and less rice, but overall, it was still a fantastic dish. Double Kebab plate (8/10): I tried the kofta (beef + lamb), lamb, filet mignon, and shrimp kebabs. The filet mignon and shrimp were my favorites, as they were more tender and less dry than the other options. Still, all of the meats were very well seasoned and flavorful. Next time, I'd opt for the fries instead of the rice, which was also a bit dry. Their fries are the best, super crispy and not too oily! Service: Wait times can be quite long (45-90mins) since the restaurant is usually busy. I wish they accepted reservations, but unfortunately, they don't. Once seated, you can scan the QR code at your table to place your order using your phone. Prices are reasonable, at around $16-$25 per plate. I also love that each dish comes with pita bread and your choice of 2 dips. Ambiance: The restaurant is beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. The interior is warm, modern, and inviting, with a spacious layout. Overall, the food was absolutely AMAZING, everything tasted incredibly fresh and vibes were immaculate. I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try at least once!!

The food is consistently flavorful, the atmosphere is trendy, and it's a really fun place to eat. My only complaints would be the long wait times during peak busy hours and a few instances where the service hasn't been the best on particularly busy days. Sometimes this can affect the overall experience, especially when people in the same group end up receiving their food at different times. Despite those minor issues, Mazra is still a really great spot and definitely somewhere I would recommend checking out.
