Fried rice with filet mignon (gluten free)
    Rebecca M.

The 5 people in my party were seated right away at a hibachi table. It was on a Sunday late afternoon. There was a sign saying there will be charge of 20 % tip to any party over 4 people. I'm glad a saw that because they didn't inform us verbally. Ordering was easy and the service was friendly. They had gluten free soy sauce to make it gluten free. The chef was careful to not mix mine in with others, I'm grateful for that. I ordered fried rice with a filet mignon steak. It was slightly overdone but you will have that on a HOT grill. The yum yum sauce was on point.

Going in the restaurant and sitting down to order is one thing . Trying to order online is not the same . I called the restaurant and wanted to place my order and tried to say online is not giving me the options or giving me info. They hung up on me and told Me to order online. I rebuke anything good I said about this location . You are better to try a different Japanese steakhouse in the surrounding areas, Polaris has a few good ones.

We were hesitant to try this place after seeing all the iffy reviews but I'm SO glad we did. We went on Mother's day at dinner time and the service was great. We were seated quickly and the food was perfect. I'm so glad we went and will definitely be back soon.

So I want to update since I last left this review. My family and I went in 1/19/24 and they no longer charge an automatic gratuity to your bill so that's a huge game changer! The female that seats you was so sweet and went above and beyond for our family!! I highly recommend this Japanese steakhouse!!

So glad my wife didn't have a shrimp allergy. She ordered a chicken hibachi and found numerous pieces of shrimp.

My wife ordered the Chicken hibachi and when she opened her to-go box it had numerous pieces of shrimp. So glad she doesn't have a shrimp allergy, the food looked so unappealing as well. See my photo I uploaded.

Today ramen! 1 mile from my house is Kyushu. Black garlic ramen with pork, 4 crispy little veggie spring rolls and the pork buns. I don't know what they are called on the menu, I just know what they are lol. Ramen is also subjective and I've had my share. Kyushu is just very very solid. It comes out fast and most importantly, the perfect temp. I've been to some ramen places that bring out a bowl of lava ramen served with a side of skin graft. The corn at the bottom is still fresh with a crunch to it. The Black a garlic just has such a depth to the broth. The egg is always perfect and the pork just melts. The spring rolls were super crispy and I really liked the spicy mayo dipping sauce. I love anything that resembles a Bao bun. I especially appreciate the chili oil and spicy seasonings at each table. Warms you up on these unpredictable Ohio evenings. I also had a Tsing Tao and an Ichiban lager beer. All in all just an enjoyable meal. $41 plus tip for everything. No complaints. It was worth it.

We ordered the gyoza dumplings to start which were super yummy. Then I ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen with pork cashu. The ramen was yummy, I wish it was a bit spicier to be honest but still good. The marinated egg is always one of my favorite parts of ramen so I got an extra. I do wish that when I asked for the nori to be substituted with extra bamboo shoots she would have warned me that they can to do substitutes and what the charge would be. Overall it was a good experience and good ramen

The salad was a bit different, with very finely chopped bacon bits mixed in. It was interesting, though not necessarily my favorite. The soup was just okay and had a bit of an MSG-heavy taste. For the main, I asked for my steak medium rare, but it came out closer to well done, which was disappointing. That said, the portion size is pretty generous, so in terms of value, you do get a lot of food. I also ordered the egg yolk-based sauce on the side, which is quite rich and heavy, but actually pairs really well with the steak and shrimp. As for the experience, they do the classic flaming onion, but that's about all the entertainment you'll get. The restaurant itself also felt pretty bare, without much decor or atmosphere. Overall, decent value for the amount of food, but a few misses in execution.

Expensive? Yes. Incredible? Also yes…read more The sushi here was incredible. Given that it's technically in a strip mall, my expectations weren't very high but I was quickly transported and impressed. I've been to quite a few Omakase dinners that left more to be desired and this was not the case here. The dinner here was on par with some I've had in NYC. We opted to add on the premium course which I would recommend highly. The wagyu was absolutely incredible. The courses were timed well and I felt extremely satisfied. One thing to note is that they do not sell wine by the glass. You'll want to order a bottle or do the pairing. We did not do the pairing since my husband had to drive, but coming back I would definitely add that. For the premium omakase, a bottle of wine, and one additional piece of nigiri each, our dinner for two ran around $440 before tip.

Ambiance: inside is a well lit open space. The Omakase counter is a beautiful experience. Dining tables are also well decorated. Spacing is well done for it being a fairly small interior. Food: 1. First course: misu soup has a rich broth. The tofu is soft and slightly squishy. I'm not a big soup fan so this isn't anything special for me. 3 2. Second course: right to left. Right was fatty and melted in your mouth. The wasabi topping added a nice kick to the flavorful fatty tuna. 7. The middle fatty, soft, flavorful punch from the chipotle sauce. Spicy and flavorful.
