Valley lock and safe was through my AAA, they wanted to up charge me by $200 more than the guy from out of town. The place I went with is called "THE KEY MAN" they were over the top and quick to help. I will be reporting valley lock and safe to AAA for price gouging. And besides Alberto, only one out of the remaining 3 businesses returned my call! My decision was already made-Alberto had excellent reviews, was professional, friendly and courteous (not to mention willing to come over the very same day to take a look at our door.) He said that he would replace it with a new, higher quality (insulated) door and fix the door to our smaller garage for half the price we were given a few years ago. He set up a new remote and set up 3 existing remotes aka two vehicles and a golf carts remote . He also showed us how to set up the MyQ Bluetooth app that allows me to inner act with my iPhone from"anywhere." I can't say enough about Chris and his brightness and eagerness to succeed! They said they could send someone out and the remote would be anywhere between 50 and $90. He said the visit charge was 70.00. I told him I'll pass and get a remote on line or a universal remote at Ace. He said he would waive the 70.00 visit fee. At that point I agreed. A guy comes out...says yes the visit fee was waived but there is a 180.00 "service fee" to check the garage door. I said I didn't need a service of the door but just a remote. He told me it was mandatory to do the service to get the remote. I said sorry to have you come out but no thank you. He then offered me a used remote for 40.00. I said fine. This remote was extremely used but worked. Gave him 40.00 in cash. End of the day...a complete scam. The remotes on Amazon are 12.00 for 2 remotes. I was taken and will never use this company again.

With the first phone call I was put at ease by the warm and friendly voice. He said they would arrive in one hour, which was hard to believe given it was Sunday. A few minutes later I received a text that the technician was on his way and would arrive in 45 minutes, which was exactly when he arrived. The technician (John) was very kind and easy to talk to. I could tell that he was genuine and really wanted to help. Took him about 5 minutes to get the door open. The cost was also not outrageous, so another plus there. If you ever need a locksmith I would highly recommend this company.
