This was my second move with ASAP. I could not be happier with everything! In 2018, I did a local move from AG to SLO and went with ASAP on the recommendation of a good friend. Everything went perfectly that time, so when it came time to move to the Bay Area, I got a quote from ASAP and one other company. The quotes were very similar but the experience was night and day. Scheduling a quote with ASAP was simple, Kyle showed up on time, and was thorough in explaining how a long-distance move worked. The other company showed up 20 minutes before our scheduled appointment when I wasn't home yet, left their card, and had to return again when I called to inquire about the mix-up. I had to ask a million questions because he didn't provide enough information about what was included and how the process worked. In my opinion, if you cannot handle the simple logistics of an estimate, I'd worry about how you'd handle the complex logistics of a long-distance move. It was an easy choice to select ASAP again. My movers Marquis and Justin were absolutely phenomenal and I couldn't have been more pleased. They took such great care of me. They were laid back, friendly, and made me more relaxed when I was stressed about moving. They arrived exactly on time at my old apt and new one, moved quickly, and finished the load and unload in exactly 2 hours each, including disassembling and re-building my bed. They wrapped every single piece securely in plastic wrap and moving blankets, and consequently, there was not one piece of damage during my 200+ mile move. Just made a move to the desert and hired ASAP to help pack and load our rental truck. They were great! Came by and gave an accurate quote, showed up on time and were very efficient and extremely professional. They're price cam in under another large local moving company and we were very happy with the price and services. They had also provided a quote to move us to Palm Springs. The price was higher than we wanted to pay so we drove the truck ourselves and hired movers at our final location to unload. In the end, I wish we'd had them take care of the entire move from start to finish. It would have taken some of the hassle and strains off the entire moving experience! Live and learn. Had a very easy move. The estimate was simple and Kyle really made it painless. When the time came, my move with movers Johnny and James was equally easy and comfortable. They packed up all the boxes in our house and garage in 2 hours! And unloaded it all the next day in Santa Rosa up on the 3rd level (no elevator) in 3.5 hours! They were extremely helpful and interested in making sure my move went great and peacefully. They even brought a little gift of toys, treats, and a water dish for my kitty. So this company was a third party in the delivery of my tempur pedic platforms. They were supposed to pick up my mattress. But because my new mattresses hadn't arrived. Their delivery drivers said they could just leave the mattress there and when they bring me the mattresses they could pick it up then. Well the mattresses was delivered by another carrier. So now I'm stuck having to get rid of my own mattress that I pair for disposal. I emailed fragilepak and they told me the asap said I declined. When it was their driver's that gave me the path forward. I'm so tired of poor customer service which includes asap movers. Along with fragilepak and the mattress hub. So beware, look else where you are just a number. No one wants to take responsibility. As long as they get paid then it doesnt matter how much you are inconvenanced, Dave of Guadalupe! read more

ASAP has moved us several times in short, local moves, and recently a longer, out-of-state move. They have been excellent every time. Movers showed up prepared with protective barriers for both the home and the contents of it. They were as careful with our belongings as they would be with their own, and made a big effort to be helpful, friendly and positive in the stressful process of moving. Set up a move with this company. They agreed to a morning move. We later agreed to 1pm. Then they said they'd be here by 2. 15min to 2pm, I called them and they told me that they have to push it back again. When I told them that this was inconvenient the man told me "What's so inconvenient? like you had something else planned for today?" after I asked him if he was giving me attitude they hung up with me. Never showed up too. Don't deal with this company, they'll drop you ASAP. read more

We received our estimate very quickly (same day), and it was competitive to other estimates we received. If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! Dave, Stephen and Johnny showed up to my house perfectly on time. ( They had a 4 hour drive to Marin County and narrow mountain roads.) I watched a "ballet trio" climb stairs, move heavy furniture, and pack up my belongings as if they were museum pieces. I loved their positive attitudes and "we can do it" attitude. What a breath of fresh air! They had to make a few stops to drop off planted pots on the way. All I can say is I would not have made it through this move without these guys. A five star crew!!! We have used ASAP twice. A few years ago the Slo crew moved us and they did a great job. This time around the Santa Maria crew moved us and we are so disappointed. An estimator came out before the move to go over our things, including cost. Everything we agreed on in this move with the estimator was contented by the crews leader including the amount of items in our home, the types of things ( fish tank, cribs, ect.) and whether they would take them our not. We experienced miscommunication between employees, things thrown anywhere and everywhere in our garage, and complaining. On moving day, right when they arrived, the lead guy said, "you're lucky we got the bigger truck, this is a lot more than we were told and we may not even have enough room for your things." We were told by the estimator that they could take down and build our cribs as long as we sign a waiver. The same lead guy said, "We don't build cribs as its a liability." One of the movers built them anyway. There was three really great, hardworking movers on this crew, the other two were lazy and complaining the whole time. At the end of the day the movers didn't care where our things were placed, especially the garage. They basically just wanted to be done for the day. To this day our garage is in such a mess, it's exhausting to look at, as things were thrown everywhere. The Slo crew completely organized our things, never once complained, and made it a point to get the job done correctly and to our satisfaction. We assumed this was the quality of work we would receive again. read more

Have you ever had service that was TOO good? So here is my story... I love my wife, truly with all my heart, but.... sometimes, just sometimes she can really fray my nerves. It all started when seemingly out of nowhere she decided, on her own, that she should start shopping for hot tubs. We were working on prepping our old house for sale and building 2 rooms, (ourselves), on our new house while both working full time jobs 10 hours a day, so to say our plates were already full is a bit of an understatement. So my precious, precious wife decided to go ahead and buy a 800lb 6 person spa online and have it delivered. Beaming from ear to ear she announced her latest purchase and what a deal she had gotten and all I could do is laugh and shake my head. I love my wife. OK well I guess we have another project to add to the mix. Don't worry she said I read all the reviews and it takes on average 8 weeks to deliver. Eight glorious weeks I thought time to clear a pad, put in the new wiring, plumb a new spigot to fill it, no problem right? Right.....8 weeks....right... Sooooo 3 weeks later we get a call from ASAP movers. " "Your new spa is here in California and they were ready to deliver this week" @#$*@**!$!!! "Uh we are actually our of town (working on the other house) can we do it next week?" "Sure how about next Friday?" "Uh... OK" So we get back in town on Thursday...night... At this point I think you can see where this is going. Pad's not ready, no wiring, no water, boat's still in the way and it turns out the path to the pad is 2 inches too narrow to take the spa in unless we turn it on its side. Ugh. "So what time are the movers coming Honey" I asked. "This afternoon" "OK that gives me time to get to town and get some rollers and moving supplies" (To figure out how on earth I am going to move 800lbs of spa by myself I thought. (I love my wife, I love my wife, I love my wife (internal mantra)) "OK its almost noon I better run to Lowes and get the stuff" I said "Uh hon... that was the movers they are 15 minutes out" she smiled innocently. "Of course they are....of course they !@#$# are." I sighed as I walked out side to pull the boat into the front yard and out of the way. When they said afternoon apparently they meant literally IMMEDIATELY... AFTER...NOON like 2 minutes after noon. Just as I opened the garage to see what scrap wood I had lying around to have them drop this giant spa onto I see a great big truck pulling in to my cul de sac. Stress? What stress? What could there possibly be to worry about? Out hops this young man with Josh on the name tag of his clean uniform with a smile on his face and a cheerful "Your new spa is here. How is your day going?" I just started to laugh and said "That is yet to be determined young sir" The driver hops down also in a clean uniform with Sam on his name tag. Clean movers? That is not a good sign, these guys must not get dirty.... not good at all. I showed them where my extensive 20 minutes of planning had determined they should drop the monster spa (middle of my front yard) and where I eventually planned to go once I figured out how on earth to move this behemoth. Sam the wiser of the pair (as evidenced by the gray in his hair) said "Well its already on dollies, if you grab a couple sheets of that plywood over there we could just wheel it into the back for you. "Huh?" I had just offered him the chance to dump it and go but he was offering to help my pitifully unprepared butt to move it right where I needed it. "Sure just lay the first one on the ground and Josh and I can wheel on to it and then move the next one past that one and each time we roll onto the next sheet you just move the old sheet forward and we just roll it on back there" "Uh, OK." I said aloud while thinking "Sam you beautiful, beautiful genius of a man" Josh quickly jumped into action and we started executing the plan. 10 to 15 minutes later I sat there looking at the spa directly in front of where it needed to be installed. And you know what? THEY WERE STILL CLEAN!!! As though they were actors in the ASAP Movers TV commercial. Damn good job boys. Impressive. So here I sit looking at a half level pad, a wiring and plumbing job to do this weekend but you know what I don't have to do?..... MOVE A #$#@$ SPA BY MYSELF!!!! I cannot thank Sam and Josh enough, they literally and figuratively lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and showed what professionalism, courtesy, hard work and teamwork are. ASAP might need to change their name to ASAFP or BYTP (Before You Thought Possible) but one thing they should never change is hiring and keeping people like Sam and Josh. It says a lot about them and about ASAP Movers and its all good. Thank you so much for giving me my Friday, my piece of mind and my weekend back. But most of all, thank you for putting a smile on my wife's face. I do love that magnificent, impulsive woman. I love my wife. read more
