My mom sees Dr. Kani frequently and just recently, I had a vein procedure done here. Each time my…read moremom or I have an appointment, we never had to wait more than 15 minutes. The front desk personal are always professional and the waiting area always clean with plenty seating. Dr. Kani is very nice and patient when it comes to helping my mother with all of her heart/artery problems. The only problem I have with doctors in general, this statement is not limited to Dr. Kani only, is that when it was time for my vein procedure, he tells me that it's not going to hurt, that I would barely feel anything! Wrong!!! I'm not sure why they make this statement when they have never been through the procedure themselves. Not to mention, my tolerance for pain is different from others so why not just say, a certain percentage had pain, this percentage did not feel pain. ‍ Having said that, you better believe when it's time to have my right leg done, they will not touch me unless they give me a Valium or ???? Lol. So to end on a good note, Dr. Kani and his staff are great! If my 84 year old mother loves them, so do I!

Many times I try to make an appointment, nobody is available to answer the phone. Or when I need prescription refill, I am told I must be seen prior to being eligible for refill which is totally understandable. However, my concern is that the physician will leave out of state for multiple weeks at a time and not reach out to her clients to inform them of her absence and PROVIDE ZERO RESOURCES OR REFERRALS leaving her patients without care and medication for an extended amount of time. When I share my frustrations, I am told sorry and I can be seen within 2-3 weeks. I don't even know how this is ethical but I wouldn't waste your time. You are only a number and not a valued patient with this practice.

I wouldn't usually review a medical office, but my experience today was so great I just had to! I…read moremet with Dr. Patel last week and he seemed confident and informed. He promptly scheduled me for an infusion this week and that's what I had today. There is plenty of parking, a large lobby, and even a vending machine for snacks if your infusion takes a while like mine did! Let me preface I have a horrible fear of needles, so this kind of place is a nightmare for me. When I told the nurses and the people who draw blood, they were so quick to make me as comfortable as possible. Kris, the nurse manager, was able to find a vein in my baby sized veins. She was so patient, kind, and compassionate. I get anxiety about being a burden since I can be difficult, but she didn't make me feel that way for a second. Another honorable mention is the nurse I had, Jasmine, who was so attentive and supportive. She explained things very thoroughly and made me feel confident in the treatment I was getting. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. Overall, if you come here, be assured you'll have some great care with professionals who lead with compassion and patience. No one wants to go to a cancer center, but the nurses and doctors change that once you meet them.

The facility you can tell is pretty new and split between primary care and urgent care. The staff at the front desk are pretty no nonsense after overhearing their phone convos with other offices however they are very courteous and patient with people who come in, especially the seniors. I saw Dr. Thompson in about 15 mins from sitting in the front to when she walked in the door. She was open to listening to all the questions I had and made sure that I had no doubts about anything. She's really great. Seems like we're off to a good start here.

I walked in around 7:30 with no appointment was seen pretty quickly. I only interacted with one individual but she was very nice and professional. The cost was covered for my visit so not sure how well or what insurance they handle but I'm pretty sure it's standard.

I thought I'd give another update for Dr. T to let y'all know he continues to be the best doctor on…read morethe planet. In my eyes, he can do no wrong. He's been taking very good care of me for quite a number of years now. As I said before, you do not get a bedside manner better than Dr. T. He gets excellent reviews on all the physician and medical sites on the web, and well he should! The only thing i have seen people complain about is that sometimes, you may wait an hour to see him because he is running behind. I never complain and I don't care because when he comes in the room with me, I am all that matters to him. If he needs to sit in the room with me for 30-40 minutes, then he will do it. This is the reason he runs behind. He takes the time to listen to every question you have and he cares about your questions. He then takes the time to answer each and every question you ask and he makes sure you understand everything. Personally, I'd rather have a doctor who runs behind sometimes because he takes the time with his patient, rather than have a doctor who always runs behind and still only spends 5 minutes or less with you. Dr. T rarely has time to take a lunch and I hate to even think how late he leaves the office each evening. I actually just scolded him today and told him he was working himself into an early grave by doing that - he agreed! LOL But he cares about his patients, so he's going to continue putting in those kind of hours. It's also nice to have my doctor walk in and actually KNOW who I am! The man has jokes too, he quite often makes me laugh with some of his witty remarks! :D Scott is Dr. T's medical assistant and he is SO amazing! He is so kind and he'll get to know you also. You won't be just another number to him either. Best medical assistant Dr. T has ever had and the best darn medical assistant I've seen anywhere! Denise is the phlebotomist in this office. Yep, Dr. T has his own lab in the office. Makes things MUCH easier when he needs to check blood and urine! She's really good at what she does. I'm a really hard stick and she gets me the first time, every time, and it never hurts. Like everyone else, she knows me well too and even remembers exactly where my "good" veins are. She's been there as long as I've been seeing Dr. T since 2007. I can't think of the name of Dr. T's triage nurse to save my life right now, probably b/c I've only seen her maybe twice and have only had to talk to her on the phone a few times over the years. But, she too is wonderful. She's great at accessing whatever your problem is and gives wonderful advice! I'd also like to mention Susan, who works at the front desk at check-in and Fay, who you'll see before you leave the office to schedule your next appointment and who will call to confirm your appointments. They are both sweethearts and they both have been there for as long as I've been seeing Dr. T. I think it really says something that so many staff members have been with him for so long! There are a lot of other people who work in this practice that I really don't have much contact with, like some of the women who answer the phones. But I've always had a great experience with every staff member in this office. Zero complaints. I have to leave messages for Dr. T often because he keeps a close watch on my blood sugar readings. He always gets back with me asap! Before the remodel, the office was really nice, but now it is quite lovely. The waiting area is large, well decorated, and has really comfy chairs and couches. Everything is extremely clean! You'll also find free wifi here. Dr. T's office is in the Baptist Hospital Pavilion, so you'll be able to tap into the free wifi offered by the hospital. Bonus! I want to touch on the waiting thing again. Like I said, there have been times I've waited an hour or more to see Dr. T, but this generally only happens when I call in at 8am with an emergency and have to be worked into the already full schedule. It has happened several times with scheduled appointment, but not very often. The average wait time is approximately 30 minutes. But, there have even been times when I'm being called back before I can barely have time to take a seat in the waiting area. Dr. T is an internal medicine specialist, but that doesn't mean he can't be your general practitioner. In my humble opinion, it's always best to have an internist as your general practitioner anyway. To close, I'd just like to say again that Dr. T is wonderful and I promise you WILL NOT find a better doctor anywhere else!
