Stumbled upon this joint for lunch and so glad we did! LOVED the menu options - great classic American bar food. Everything was clean and bright and updated. The (table) chairs were plush and comfortable. Pretty glassware, even for soft drinks. The service was fast and friendly. We were in and out within 45 minutes, but could've hung around longer.

Small Town vibe , like a neighborhood meeting spot . The food was really good! And the burger was huge I only ate half . Doggie bagged the other half . The menu is small but what they offered was good .

A refined retreat where modern gastronomy meets the effortless charm of small town life. The aesthetic blends crisp white interiors with lush green accents, echoing the balance they strike on every plate: thoroughly reimagined elevated comfort food! Sourcing seasonally and locally, the chef crafts dishes that are both inventive, yet familiar. From the standard refined classics to the pop up specials, every dish is crafted to surprise, satisfy and maybe even spark a little menu envy. Behind the bar are friendly familiar faces - who believe the best drinks are made with precision, creativity and a dash of well placed sass. They don't make your grandad's Old Fashioned, unless your grandad has a cedar humidor, a record collection that smells like whiskey and a tattoo he got in Paris. Served over a hand cut cube that melts slower than small town gossip, it's always bold, balanced and consistent. Come hungry, I always do, leave glowing and maybe a little bit in love with your entree. Cheers!

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. They must have been super understaffed. Had to wait a super long time for food. Also heard multiple comments from the wait staff about being called in last minute and wishing they had more help. I'm not sure when this place opened, but it seems that they definitely have some more learning to do. I ordered the spicy pesto panini with fries. It was pretty good. My main issue is that my panini came out quite literally 15 minutes before my fries or my partner's food. Then, after my partner finally got his food, they had prepared the burger with cheese (he's allergic to dairy). They immediately re-made it and brought out fries to hold him over. I appreciated how they handled it, but wish we didn't have to wait for so long. They also took the burger off the bill which was much appreciated. The only reason this review isn't lower than 4 stars is because I admire how they handled the situation and I'll give them grace for being a relatively new restaurant. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was nice. The green vibes were good.

This is a great spot for delicious food. The portions are huge! We started with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. I had the BLT sandwich with fries and my sister ordered the cheeseburger. The service was great! We got there at a good time so it wasn't too busy or crowded during lunch. Our waitress was the only one working the bar and tables so we made sure to give her a generous tip. Can't wait to return to try something different on their menu.

I really enjoy Ash & Dill! They have great food, good drink specials, and kind efficient servers. I've been 5 or 6 times since they opened and I think it's one of the best restaurants we have here in Wendell. Ash & Dill is a great neighborhood bar anywhere but our other restaurant options here are lacking - come on, Wendell! I really hope they stick around because the burgers and sandwiches are delicious, fries are crispy and seasoned, and they run changing food specials which I've also enjoyed! Please give them your business if you're looking for an affordable laid back and tasty meal!

The salmon salad was pretty good overall. I believe the strawberry dressing would have given it the balance it needed of a hint of sweetness from the fruit. But it was still good. Where things fell short was the cheesesteak. I did it with the wings as take out. The flavors of the cheesesteak were off. I let him know the food was great, home cooked and good portions. The one thing that ruined the evening was the RUDE waitress, he walked up to the table and before he could sit down she bought my drink out, she asked what will you have to drink, he's looking confused and responds still standing, well what do you have? She rambles all the options so fast I'm not sure he understood all but made a choice. Then he sat down. She came back and slid it on the table like a fly by.. Soon she bought a hush puppy basket they were cold, I dare not complain she was so nasty and distant. Next she came back, order book open and I was like it's his 1st time, she didn't say anything, she just looked out the window and waited, so we just knew we needed to order, so I named my meat before I could finish SIDES??then he simply asks did they have bone in chicken ( I didn't know he was going to ask or I would have told him beforehand) she says no we have , fried chicken breast tenders, sisco chicken etc, she named every chicken dish on the menu without taking a breath.. I can give her props for knowing that..we both were looking at her confused and she never looked at us it was always "looking out the window " He said just give me "Flounder " one piece or two??? He replies one, SIDES??? Like we needed to be on point. She took the menus and left. She asked the questions she needed but was mean, not engaging and just rude. The WAY she asked.. When our food came this waitress walked by and literally slid our food on the table in a way that was like HERE! And kept walking I don't even think she stopped when she put them on the table she may have slowed down. We had to reach towards the end of the table to slide our plates in front of us. We both looking at each other in agreement she just nasty! The next time she came back she walked by and sat down a half glass of refill for his drink, she hadn't asked she just did it, suppose he wanted a glass of water? When we put our forks down she came over to get his plate and bought me a to go box as I still had half my food on my plate and she left the ticket. She didn't say is there anything I can get you or anything the entire time. He put his pymt with the ticket and put it on the edge of the table, I hadn't been in a while so I forgot we would pay on the way out. She was cleaning the floor near us and slid our ticket/pymt farther on our table, as if it was in her way, again he's confused so he said this is ready and she let him know to pay up front. I have never experienced such a nasty waitress at this restaurant and because of this I probably will never go back. I don't like not feeling comfortable and welcomed in a place where my money and time is going into. I started to complain before I left but in reality I don't think it would have mattered, and we left a tip not as much as we would have if she was more pleasant. I don't know whether she was having a bad day, a long day or to take it personal but I can't deal with attitude like that and won't take a chance on it again. This man drove a hour to experience this was just unbelievable!!!!

Anyway, Was shown to my table, a male server showed up, lit the candle, and I didn't see anyone for 18 minutes while two tables around me were greeted, cleared the table of extra dishes not needed and was served water, and their plates for the dinner buffet. The server that lit the candle, came back, asked if my server showed up. Uh, no. Finally, a woman server came by, went to the other table. Can't make this up. Then she realized they were being taken care of. She finally made it to me. I informed her I was dining alone, she cleared extra dishes, asked if I needed salt or pepper. Interesting question considering I didn't have any food. She filled my water glass, then brought my plate, as it was a dinner buffet night. Their first dinner buffet. No excuse for the poor service, though. Make me feel important, valued whether dining alone or with a group, please. The buffet had a great variety of proteins and sides. A couple of beef strip choices, shredded chicken, crisp tortillas to build your own nachos for the kids, fried catfish, fried chicken patty, salmon, swordfish, all cut into small portions. Proteins were the perfect size to try everything without filling up. A carving station consisted of sirloin, pork loin, sausage and baked salmon. The seasoning on every protein at the buffet and carving station was different. Excellent. Sides included mac and cheese, roasted potatoes, a squash medley, Brussels Sprouts, and mashed potatoes. A nice spread for a salad included mixed greens, large leaves of them. All the veggie toppings, two kinds of shredded cheeses, house made croutons, four dressings and fresh fruit that blew me away. Every bite of the fruit was ripe, sweet. Not the hard, no flavor offerings at some establishments/groceries this time of year. The gumbo had large pieces of shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and smaller pieces of mussels, mini shrimp, etc. The breads selection was biscuits, baguette and others. All fresh, soft and crunchy. Great to dip into the gumbo broth. Dessert offerings included brownies and cookies. I opted to enjoy a brownie along with the fresh berries/fruit. They also offer a Sunday brunch buffet. The other nights they have a full menu. Be aware, they automatically add in a "brunch gratuity" of 20% to the bill. Overall, I would visit again.

I entered the front door of the giant converted craftsman style home. When you enter you see stairs and a few private dining rooms. Because they were slow, it took the hostess a bottle to realize I was there. It took about 3 minutes for someone to come out and greet me. When they finally came out they were kind and apologetic. I opted for outdoor seating and was guided down and hall and through the large main dining area that was very open with multiple tables and a bar. We went out the back door to the large partially covered back deck. From there you could see more parking. There were string lights and ceiling fans. I bet it's adorable at night. I was promptly greeted and asked if I wanted sparkling, still, or tap water. I also ordered my Crostini Rustica appetizers. I originally asked for the Arancini, but i was told they were out and changing over to a fall menu. I would have appreciated a heads up by the waiter upon being greeted and maybe even on the website that they were in the middle of transitioning their menu The appetizer was rish and delicious. The cheese curdled a bit but it was good overall. I especially enjoyed the balsamic reduction and pops of Tomato and basil. I then asked about popular dishes but the the waiter shared his preferences. I opted for the lasagna. It was a very large portion . But I expected more sophisticated plating. It was served and heated in sn individual oval baker. It was super cheesy, but therefore greasy. Not very pretty. I would have like to have seen a slice mid plated with a ladle of sauce and sprinkle of cheese. I also ordered the house Pino Noir, but was served pilot grigio. Didn't feel like correct him. I drank about half of it before a fly decided it wanted some too. I noticed that other servers took their tables table top fly swatters, but my server did not. Overall a good experience. I would go back. This would be a great date spot. I plan to try the canneloni next time.
