Came here on a Saturday for lunch. They must have been super understaffed. Had to wait a super long time for food. Also heard multiple comments from the wait staff about being called in last minute and wishing they had more help. I'm not sure when this place opened, but it seems that they definitely have some more learning to do. I ordered the spicy pesto panini with fries. It was pretty good. My main issue is that my panini came out quite literally 15 minutes before my fries or my partner's food. Then, after my partner finally got his food, they had prepared the burger with cheese (he's allergic to dairy). They immediately re-made it and brought out fries to hold him over. I appreciated how they handled it, but wish we didn't have to wait for so long. They also took the burger off the bill which was much appreciated. The only reason this review isn't lower than 4 stars is because I admire how they handled the situation and I'll give them grace for being a relatively new restaurant. This is a great spot for delicious food. The portions are huge! We started with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. I had the BLT sandwich with fries and my sister ordered the cheeseburger. The service was great! We got there at a good time so it wasn't too busy or crowded during lunch. Our waitress was the only one working the bar and tables so we made sure to give her a generous tip. I really enjoy Ash & Dill! They have great food, good drink specials, and kind efficient servers. I've been 5 or 6 times since they opened and I think it's one of the best restaurants we have here in Wendell. Ash & Dill is a great neighborhood bar anywhere but our other restaurant options here are lacking - come on, Wendell! I really hope they stick around because the burgers and sandwiches are delicious, fries are crispy and seasoned, and they run changing food specials which I've also enjoyed! I had the classic cheeseburger with a Cesar salad. The salad was fresh and the dressing was good (not sure if it is made in house). Very mixed emotions about this place. Let's start with the good. This is a very neat place inside. The decor is modern and the place is well kept. The servers were also very polite and well mannered. The food was decent. Not the best I've ever had but certainly not bad. However there were a few things that definitely could be improved. This place is relatively new (opened Nov. 2024) and you could definitely tell they were still figuring things out. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come take our order. Not a huge deal. It seemed like the waitresses were hustling around constantly and did not have a minute to relax. After placing our order it took a while for our food to come out. Like ~35 minutes for a burger. The person I was with ordered a panini and it came out in like 25 minutes, so that wasn't coordinated very well because by the time mine came out the panini was dead cold. To make matters worse, when my burger came out, the order was wrong, so they had to remake it which took at least another 10 minutes. The waitress did the right thing and comped it and informed us that they only had one cook in the back (sounds like someone called off that day) but at this point I was just hungry and frustrated. On the menu it also says that their meals are served with a side and a pickle, but both meals had no pickle, so that was disappointing. I really wish I could give this place a great review but it's just not there yet. Hopefully they can get some logistical stuff sorted out and I look forward to returning for a 5-star experience! read more

My husband tried this new place and refuses to go again. He ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was prepped in front of him. He could hear the crunch sound when they cut the chicken. The chicken was frozen when they served it to him. Generally, he NEVER complains when he doesn't care for a meal but he told the staff about the frozen chicken. The response he received was the cooler ran cold snd it will thaw out in a while. WTF?!? Nope - worst experience so far in this revolving door location. It seems this place keeps getting renamed by the same people for some reason. Since it was "Farmers and Merchants," each reiteration of the restaurant has an obvious giveaway...the smallest orders of fries you will ever get at a restaurant! The food is nothing to write home about, and the entree sizes are often underwhelming. I would comment on the service quality, but I'm worried this review would take as long as it does for the waitstaff to check on your table. I came in as a part of a party of 4 for dinner. We sat at the bar for 25 minutes before we were acknowledged. My friend and his wife were finally able to get the bartender's attention just long enough to order a couple drinks. My wife had to work to get her attention and ordered a drink. I was never approached, let alone asked if I would like to order anything. After another 5 minutes we left. Where we sat, we had to clean the bar ourselves because the staff never bussed the plates and glasses from the previous customers. Can't tell you what the food is like because we never had a chance to taste any of it. I won't return to a place that doesn't care enough about its customers to serve them properly. read more

We visited Ash and Dill yesterday and had great experience. We were a little nervous because we had been to this location when it was a prior restaurant and were so unhappy. But at Ash and Dill, the food was great and so is atmosphere. We both had the cheeseburger and it was great. It had two generous patties, plenty of cheese and a delicious and not overwhelming "house sauce." We chose fries for the side and they were exceptional. The staff was really friendly and attentive and the owner, Joe, came by to ensure that we were happy. It's great to have a great dining option in downtown Wendell. We will definitely be going back to try more menu items. read more
