If it were just for friendliness, this place would have all five stars, but sadly I barely can rate them the two I'm giving them. This place has me questioning, as if I hadn't already - the TikTok influencers, because this place really was not worthy of the praise TikTok has given it. We are headed over to Trevose on the advice of TikTok (hanging my head in shame) to grab a cheesesteak and a slice. The pizza is boasted to be baked on a stone. I'm not sure if that is what caused it to be what it was. It felt like it couldn't decide what it wanted to be.. too thin it to rise into that soft pillowy chew, yet not quite crisp enough to stand proudly on its own. It was the middle child of pizza doughs. Quiet, polite, and easy to over look. The sauce. It was sauce. Not quite to my palate. It was very sweet and reminiscent of Hunts canned sauce. Now the pepperoni, the pepperoni was on point the perfect crispy curly edges with just the right amount of grease puddled within. Onto the cheese steak. When you're talking about Philly steaks it really isn't hard to go wrong but sometimes you have to understand too much of a good thing - is too much of a good thing. There was way too much cheese to the ratio of meat, the meat was chopped way too much, and the gloppy mess was more than the roll could hold. As I'm writing this, I have a little bit of guilt because the guy behind the counter was a true gem super happy, proud and welcoming. If the food had half of his spirit of this guy, this could've easily been a 4 Star place. So next time you're scrolling the ol ticky-tocky. Try and think about why the influencers rave so high. Does it look staged and filmed? What do they have to gain by making that video? Would you really give a bad review to someone giving you a free lunch? read more

I've been watching some recent videos on social media about two different pizza places up here in Feasterville, so I had to see for myself. One spot kept talking about how "the main ingredient is family".....but if that's family, it must be the dry side of the family, because the food was rough. I tried something down the street called the Twisted Chicken and it was straight-up trash. Then I went to A & G Pizzeria and ordered the Drunken Dego. YUM!!. This is what real family flavor tastes like! Their homemade vodka sauce was so good!! Rich & creamy, and packed with flavor! Not that jarred stuff the other guys try to pass off. I'm from Massachusetts, so I am not a Philly cheesesteak connoisseur. But I know what I like. The cheesesteaks from here are the best that I have ever had outside of my own kitchen. The meat is super tender and the cheese is all mixed in so you get the proper ratio of meat and cheese in every bite. But the roll takes it over the top. It has a bit of chew to it, in a good way. Some of the fillings might fall out because of the chew, but the flavor is worth it. I plan on getting a cheesesteak from here every time I'm in the area. Okay visited once so this review is based on 1 large cheese pizza and 12 Buffalo wings. Walking in they are festive with Christmas decorations a large TV playing the new animated Grinch movie very clean and friendly people they have slices for 2 dollars cash only for slices I'm guess because of credit card fees. The large pizza was almost nostalgic for me that old school pizza place I used to go to as a kid so I enjoyed it so much I can't wait to have another. The wings were good size sauced very well came with blue cheese in a plastic cup not Ken's or a pack of store blue cheese and some celery sticks. Ordered from A&G for a last minute birthday gathering and was not disappointed! Got multiple orders of vodka rigatoni and chicken Marsala delivered along with zeppolis for dessert. Everything arrived quickly and steaming hot! The owner was extremely accommodating for a large last minute order and the vodka rigatoni was the cheesiest most delicious I've ever had. everyone was raving about how amazing the chicken marsala was. I went here ordered a chicken cheese steak it came out it looked like cheap chicken i bit into it and right away i tasted pork they gave me a chopped up pork sandwich and they think i couldn't tell WTF i wanted to taste chicken but it's cheaper to give them pork I don't even eat pork i try to stay away from it it's hot today the air conditioning was off and the front door wide open flys where flying around the pizza and I was there at 12 o'clock the pizzas looked like yesterday's pies I will not go back there they must not be to busy if you can't afford to run the air and let fly's in no thanks try elsewhere!!! Decided to give them a try tonight based on other comments I saw on the page. The good, the bad, and the ugly... Found a menu online as I'm lazy and prefer places that deliver. Yay! They are open tonight and they deliver. Off to a great start. Their menu - while it has a ton of food listed, not a lot of description on items. (What's an A&G salad?). But enough of a variety that you'll definitely find something you want to try. The order: antipasto salad, whole cheesesteak hoagie with fried onions, large NY with 4 toppings, and a tiramisu. Big enough sampling to give a review. The call: new kid answering the phone. Hey we were all new at some point. Relax. We'll get the order in. The total: what? Different from menu prices. After a moment, Gia (owner) gotbon the phone. I figured out the difference. Online said toppings were free, in real life they aren't. I told Gia what I was seeing on their website and she said it was a mistake but not only would she honor it, she comped the pie. I said that wasn't necessary just to honor the post but she decided she was the owner and it was her decision. The delivery: quoted 45 minutes. Arrived in about 25. Delivered by her husband. The other owner who apologized profusely about the error. The food: I know, this is what you've been waiting for.... Antipasto- B+. I specifically ordered for the anchovies but evidently not everyone puts anchovies in an antipasto. (See note above about descriptions needed). Otherwise the rest of it was good. All the veggies were fresh and there is a generous amount. The pie- AAA+++. they've done their homework and actually made a NY pie. Outstanding!!!! The pizza was delicious. Crust was perfect. Very tasty sauce. Reminiscent of pizza growing up just across the river from NY. I made a comment the other day that we needed someone who could make a NY pie. We found them. AAA+++ The cheesesteak - AAA+++. they warned about ordering a "full" cheesesteak to make sure I knew what I was getting into. Trev's and Steve's has competition now. It was freakin AWESOME! Great steak to cheese to onion ratio. Fantastic flavor. Nice crunch to the seeded roll. Every bite had a bit of everything. There wasn't that last inch or so of roll with nothing in it. My parents couldn't say enough about this place so I wanted to try it. I went online and it said 10% discount online only. I placed the order and paid 43. I waited 45 min when it said ready in 20 and when I got there was told I would need to wait. As I was standing there I noticed the prices online are higher than in store. I asked the girl at the counter why and she said she didn't know and didn't have anything to do with it. She asked if I wanted a 2 liter soda for my inconvenience and I said I just wouldn't be back because it wasn't a good look. Next thing I know this woman comes out and is telling me it's my mistake for using the online option and when I asked why she was coming at me like that she said because of the way I came at the counter girl. I responded I didn't raise my voice or anything to her and do you have cameras. She just kept yelling saying yeah we have cameras. I asked if I could just have my money back and she said really nasty do you want the food. I said no I didn't want anything from there and she slapped the cash on the counter and walked away. She gave me 41. Cost me an hour and 2 dollars to not feed my family. Sitting at another establishment down the street and let my parents know not an establishment to trust.
