All things considered it's a great bar. I've been here a few times and the food has aways been decent but never blew me away but it's not supposed to. It's a bar vibe and the drinks are great and big and the apps are incredible. Service here unfortunately tends to be a bit lacking. It has been very slow and unattentive every time I've been here. But all in all a very solid place for a bite

This was my second time at Ashland Ale House! The first time I came during trivia on a Tuesday night, which was a lot of fun! I also had the fig pizza which was also pretty good. My boyfriend's steak tips, however, were not cooked-like rarer than rare, but he got new cooked ones and it was taken off the bill. I was able to convince my boyfriend to come back for the Festa Italiana deal! It's a dinner for two (or more really!) that includes 2 glasses of wine (or a bottle for $10 more), a shareable salad, a one-topping flatbread (either as an appetizer or to go!), and 2 pasta entrees. All for $38! That can't be beat! It was so much food- the salad was great and fresh, I liked the diced tomatoes in lieu of cherry! And the pizza was really good. I had mushrooms on it, and I'm really excited to eat my leftovers later. The pizza was the highlight! I had the linguine and meatballs as my entree as I was craving marinara. While it was a very light covering of marinara, it was good marinara. The garlic bread was very soft and butter as well! The meatballs looked eh but they tasted fine! I had so much food to take home, so that's an added bonus. Our waitress was also very nice and was sure to warn us about the sloped table edges- many a drink has slipped off the table! I'm glad I was made aware of that. The service was also fast- I barely had time to finish the salad before the pizza was brought out, or finish the pizza before the pasta was brought out! I also really like the vibe of the place- local pub! They really hit it home. The decor is movie posters and old timey relics and school logos, and there were plenty of shamrocks and festive banners around for St. Patrick's Day. I'd definitely come again- and this is almost an hour out of my way! Festa Italiana!!

Easy parking and got seated quickly. Service was attentive and professional. Nice to have servers that know what they are doing AND bussers actually helping them. Manager seemed very involved in serving and managing. Nice to see. Bottom line briefing -- Beer, Service, and Atmosphere were great. Prices reasonable. Appetizers okay--a little overdone. And meals were a mixed bag among us (see my pics of baked haddock. Mildly fishy but still ate it. Was not a thick, flaky, piece of white haddock). If I had to name some bad things, there was no kids menu, at least not one with a hamburger on it. Had to order a $16 adult burger for a 9 yr old. Carpeting should be replaced throughout and replaced with hardwood because it was kind of dingy looking and gives the place a 'dirty' feel, but wasn't dirty really. I would Go back with adults and four drinks/apps.

We asked the manager for some napkins to prop up the wobbly table and he said (quote) "Why don't you tell your kid not to stand on his chair" and walked away. The kid in question was literally sitting in his chair with one foot against the table. We explained to the manager the impact of what he said, and gave him multiple opportunities to apologize. We get it: its St Patrick's Day in an Irish bar and it's stressful. But instead of recognizing that he snapped: he doubled down and tried to convince us that his language fine, and that we were in the wrong for calling him out. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.

I had to explain this to the waitress and to the owner. Not a place I would go to for a quiet romantic dinner. More like a college cafeteria atmosphere with alchohol. Food was OK. Rice was crunchy undercooked. Did not enjoy pulling chicken off skewers. Brought dish back to kitchen for staff to remove chicken off skewers. Where is the ambiance for removing chicken from skewers. Is this a new form of entertainment? New owners were too cheap to install proper ADA bathroom fixtures. Black toilet fixture from previous owner were too close to the floor. For compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the toilet seat must measure between 17 inches minimum and 19 inches maximum from the finished floor to the top of the seat, including the seat itself, not just the bowl rim. We will NOT be going back.

"I'm gonna ride my llama From Peru to Texarkana…read moreI'm gonna ride him good In my old neighborhood" (Neil Young) Owen O'Leary's is the quintessential neighborhood pub. Sitting in our booth and observing the banter and chatter between the staff and the regulars, it was obvious there was a real O'Leary's community before us. Our one beer (Irish Red $7.25), Wedge Salad ($9.50) with a steak skewer ($6.99), cheeseburger ($14.99) with Sweet Potato Fries +$1), and apple Crisp ($6.99) totaled $50 even after tax and before tip. My salad was quite good with a big portion of fresh, crisp lettuce, some tomato wedges, crumbled blue cheese and four big steak chunks cooked medium as I asked for. The cheeseburger was a big hamburger patty served with pickle slices and waffle sweet potato fries. Zero complaints. We took the dessert back to the hotel, and our very personable server packaged the scoop of ice cream separately as we asked her to. The slice of apple crisp was huge, so a half a slice sure didn't seem like we were scrimping. It was a fun place with zero pretension, generous portions, reasonable prices, and satisfying meals.

We went on a Thursday night around 7 pm and the parking lot was pretty full. There's ample seating on the first floor but we sat on the second floor. There's also a small outside patio. We actually had to order through the bartender. But food came out fast. I got the grilled haddock with green beans, although they mistakenly made it with broccoli instead. I'm not picky so i didn't mind. The haddock was well made but it barely had any flavor so they need to season it more. It also smelled fishy so I'm not sure how fresh it was? Overall average food even considering it's pub food. But it was a nice place to sit down, relax and converse with ur coworkers or friends.
