    Steak tips
    Rebecca B.

I'm new to the area and was craving steak tips. I saw a few reviews describe this as a dive bar?! Though you can tell it's well loved by the locals and though I love dives, this is absolutely not the case! I was surprised by the ambiance and setting. The inside is rather large and the outdoor patio is a really nice touch. I sat at probably one of the only two seats open at their very large, well stocked bar. Bartender was well seasoned and impressively taking care of EVERYONE very timely, very hospitably. I was seen, had water, menu and order placed all within 10-15 mins. Everyone from staff to patrons was incredibly warm and friendly :) I also appreciate any bar that delivers your drink garnish skewered. I ordered my tips med rare and though my tips varied between more rare (pictured) and more well, I was very satisfied with my meal and the price! This is a hidden gem I'd love to stumble upon again :) Cash only! I did not know this before dining and despite browsing reviews but again, to me this only adds to the business overall.

Food wasn't what I remembered as a kid. Service was great and the ambiance was okay for pickup.

We used TJ's for catering a party and it was very good. I recommend the roast chicken and Italian roast potatoes. Reasonable pricing too!!

We asked the manager for some napkins to prop up the wobbly table and he said (quote) "Why don't you tell your kid not to stand on his chair" and walked away. The kid in question was literally sitting in his chair with one foot against the table. We explained to the manager the impact of what he said, and gave him multiple opportunities to apologize. We get it: its St Patrick's Day in an Irish bar and it's stressful. But instead of recognizing that he snapped: he doubled down and tried to convince us that his language fine, and that we were in the wrong for calling him out. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.

The service has been pretty good- attentive and friendly overall. Ale House gets five stars for the overall value, consistency, and the vibe in there. It's simply nice to be there and we've enjoyed each visit. I like the Wednesday night Italian dinner for two and the themes they do, as well as Trivia night. It's nice to see a place show some effort and execute on specials and theme nights etc. and they clearly have a loyal following as a result. We're now a part of that following.

Everything came out cooked perfect long time altogether, which is wonderful because usually we are when we go out as a family for dinner, we I've been here many times in the past also one of the guys that came tonight he lives right here in town so him and his family come here often. The only downside is it is cash only but they do have it on site ATM, which is perfectly fine if you just gotta come prepared, the food was very reasonable. The husband I had the burger and the I had the white salad. I was expecting the lunchtime one, but they actually had given me the dinner one so between the two of us we ate it cost us with a tip on $40. That's about average when you go out to eat nowadays and it's nice we go out to eat and the husband actually cleans his plate. That's absolute perfect too. I would come here again definitely I would definitely recommend as a family restaurant, but I probably wouldn't come here too often at night. It really was too too loud this evening. They did however have like some sort of like bingo or trivia night thing or something so that probably added to the noise level other than that I usually come here for lunch and never have an issue towards food right on top of things. It's good tasty just an all-around good time and that's about it. Everybody should try it. There was a lot of good dishes we had this evening people had like I said the fried whole belly clams they have the chicken Parm somebody else had the fish and chips. Somebody else had flatbread pizza. One person had a bowl of clam chowder and also had a pastrami sandwich somebody else had the blackened corned beef, but everything was perfect. Not one person had an issue with anything and that's perfect we typically have issues with getting our food together and getting on a time and nobody wants to eat alone. Nobody wants to wait you know we all kinda like eat together. But everything was fantastic. The food was out of this world.

"I'm gonna ride my llama From Peru to Texarkana…read moreI'm gonna ride him good In my old neighborhood" (Neil Young) Owen O'Leary's is the quintessential neighborhood pub. Sitting in our booth and observing the banter and chatter between the staff and the regulars, it was obvious there was a real O'Leary's community before us. Our one beer (Irish Red $7.25), Wedge Salad ($9.50) with a steak skewer ($6.99), cheeseburger ($14.99) with Sweet Potato Fries +$1), and apple Crisp ($6.99) totaled $50 even after tax and before tip. My salad was quite good with a big portion of fresh, crisp lettuce, some tomato wedges, crumbled blue cheese and four big steak chunks cooked medium as I asked for. The cheeseburger was a big hamburger patty served with pickle slices and waffle sweet potato fries. Zero complaints. We took the dessert back to the hotel, and our very personable server packaged the scoop of ice cream separately as we asked her to. The slice of apple crisp was huge, so a half a slice sure didn't seem like we were scrimping. It was a fun place with zero pretension, generous portions, reasonable prices, and satisfying meals.

We actually had to order through the bartender. But food came out fast. I got the grilled haddock with green beans, although they mistakenly made it with broccoli instead. I'm not picky so i didn't mind. The haddock was well made but it barely had any flavor so they need to season it more. It also smelled fishy so I'm not sure how fresh it was? Overall average food even considering it's pub food. But it was a nice place to sit down, relax and converse with ur coworkers or friends.
