Worst furniture store! We Purchased a couch in May 2021 and we were told that delivery is guaranteed in 8-12 weeks. Now it's been 5 months and nothing has arrived! We called several times and no one can give us a definite answer. They even asked why are we calling AGAIN! We asked if we can just cancel our item, but they wanted to charge us 25% which I think is unfair on our end. It is not our fault that the couch has not been delivered on the dates they promised us. And I think waiting for 5 months is more than enough especially if we needed the item so bad! read more

This place is shady. I bought 2 pieces of furniture and a couple days later, I came back so they can do a price adjustment. Per the invoice, I'm allowed one Price match with their online store within 14 days. Instead of a price match, the manager assigned it as a discount, so I paid sales tax for the original higher amount. When I asked him to change the price and not apply it as a discount, he said "that's how we do it". I've worked in retail, and when you price match an item, sales tax also gets adjusted. We were very happy to find exactly what we needed here! We could not have done it without Nicole. She was absolutely fantastic, we had our 11 month old with us and she was so great with him. She also knew her stuff, she was able to tell us all about the different beds and was helpful in putting things together. We ended up buying a sectional, two end tables, an ottoman, a bed frame and a king size pro adapt mattress all for a great price. Absolutely horrible! Customer service, everything...horrible! Rather get COVID than deal with these people ever again.. Been waiting 9 weeks for my sleeper sofa that they said would take 6 weeks and every week the date is pushed back. Everytime I call there is never an answer. Some days I've called in the morning and in the evening with no answer at all, the phone just keeps ringing. There has to be some type of scam or weird operations running at the location. They seem to avoid all important questions and act like it's ok to be late on a customer's delivery date. If you want furniture in a reasonable period of time, don't bother going to this--or any--Ashley Home Store. They have NOTHING in stock and available. The best you will do is 8-14 weeks (translate to 12-20 weeks) for delivery. It's utterly ridiculous. They, like a lot of companies, seem to be using COVID as an excuse for absolutely ridiculous policies and inept service. They appear to be trying to condition people to accept crummy service! Since I refused to buy anything in their stores, I have been spammed by them with emails blaring "In-Stock Sofas" and similar ads declaring that they have items in stock for purchase. However, when you click the link, the items are not available for months or are simply out of stock altogether. It's like those old jokes about life in the Soviet Union...you wait in line and pay for the item (they're more than happy to take your money), and they'll deliver it when they get around to it. Pass these people by...they're the furniture equivalent of used car salesmen...except that used car salesmen at least deliver a product. read more

The first sales guy z was nice but wouldn't give me his full name and when I was going to order online the computer required more than one letter. I went to another location and they wouldn't match the online price. I called up to ask his name and he just laughed, so I was like ok? Then I went back to this location and a really jerky conceited tall male sales guy kept bothering me so I was literally about to walk out but then the nice manager came and I ended up buying my sofa from him. The delivery time and people were great. The three problems are one the size is different then I was told. It is way bigger (which would be my fault if I didn't tell z I needed it 7 feet or less) but I agree I should have measured it myself. Second the main chaise and it was delivered today the cushion doesn't sit exactly right and lined up and their is a very weak piece of velcro holding it in place. Third I need to break it in more but for now it feels like it is plastic (not leather or fake leather?) and it pushes you forward. The cushions on the bottom are comfortable though and it's huge but looks nice. Also one of the bottom cushions doesn't have the stitching on it like the other one does. I will update this once I know how well the sofa holds up. My last one from Havertys lasted over 13 years and was in great condition. I only changed that one out because of comfort from the beginning but it was better quality. read more

Disappointed ...but found and purchased what I needed elsewhere. I have a partial Ashley Furniture bedroom set I bought 4 years ago and to my surprise it's still available for purchase so I headed to the store to buy two additional pieces. As I walked in to the store I was sized up (will she buy? will she not?) by two older male salesclerks. One finally jumped up and said "everything is on sale so let me know if you need anything" I did ask for help as I knew exactly what two pieces of furniture I was there to purchase but I was told to look around the store for the bedroom set I wanted. I explained I knew the collection name and just wanted to purchase additional pieces. I was then shown a large interactive guide (giant IPad) to "search for what you want". OK this just wasn't working. Finally found the piece and it differed in price from the website. When I called the sales clerk over he stated the 2200 dollar chest of drawers was on sale for 1400. Website prices differed but he had no idea why and "that's the price". Too bad. I was ready to complete my set by making a purchase. Once home I googled "Ashley (the collection name) chest of drawers" AND to my surprise I found the same collection (with the same exact picture) for 600 less (not on sale!)...AT 7 MORE STORES...yep to my surprise Amazon, Walmart, Coleman Furniture, Houzz, etc all carry the exact Ashley furniture. Memo to self "NEVER SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN!" Bought dining rooming table August 12 and bought a 5year protection plan. They delivered the table August 15. Table has a few scars and now not level to the floor. Been calling them since August 24 to come and level the table. Was told today that they were not sending anyone to level the table and that I had 72 hours to to report any issues. I asked what did the 5 year protection plan cover that I paid $100.00 for. There was no answer. When I told their representative that I would never shop at Ashley Furniture again, she said ok and hung up. I will be contacting my credit card company to see what recourse that I have? Today was not my day! Nor was it Ashley Furniture! It's time to get serious with Ashly Furniture. Very unhappy with this company! This is a company that you shouldn't trust. They just have a big name, but their customer care is zero. I purchased a set of couches from them. It was a floor model and I knew it was "as is" with no warranty. I was OK with it. But they damaged my couches in delivery. I was there watching them bringing my couches in and I saw it stuck to the wall and ripped. I called them right away and I reported the issue. They said because it was a floor model and no warranty, the best they could do was a $100 gift card. My argue is: "Being a floor model and no warranty has nothing to do with damages during the delivery..." I asked for at least the delivery charge credit back to my card and they said: "No!!!" I can't believe what kind of customer care it is! Please be careful if you are dealing with this company. :( read more

Purchased over $3k worth of furniture a few months back. Included in the purchase was a dining room table which I have used a handful of times. My 9 year old was sitting eating dinner a few nights ago and snagged her legging on the end, when she pulled her pant leg off it took a chunk of the table off with it. If the table was good quality I would imagine her legging would have ripped at the least. Nope, no rip, but a chunk of the table came off. When I asked about the warranty I was told it fell under cosmetic and wear and tear, so no warranty coverage. I've read some of the negative reviews, so let me reiterate. It is YOUR responsibility to know if the furniture you want to purchase will fit through your front door. The website clearly indicates the needed clearance. Measure. Just measure. It was clearly explained to me BEFORE I finalized my purchase that: a) there would be a 30% restocking fee if the furniture was cancelled or returned through no fault of the store or delivery persons, AND the store approved the return/cancellation, b) if the store did NOT approve the cancel/return, I would only be given a store credit for the amount of the purchase. Meaning I could pick out other furniture, but NOT get a refund. This was clearly explained to me before I signed the paperwork and paid the amount due. As for the purchase experience, I originally went on a Saturday and was stalked by a salesperson. It's his job, and I know they work on commission, so I understood (even though I found it annoying). I got the guys name so that if I decided to purchase, I would ask for him to get the sale commission. I returned a few days later once I had made my final decision and gave the manager his name. He had moved to another store, so she assisted me. I purchased a manual reclining sofa and loveseat. She explained everything I mentioned in the first paragraph VERY CLEARLY and answered all of my questions. She explained the warranty, which I declined. There was no pressure at all. The sofa and loveseat I bought aren't exactly "high end", so a warranty wasn't that important to me. The delivery guys were fast and friendly. Check over the furniture for damage and proper operation while they're still there. In fact, the guy handed me his phone because the customer service rep wanted to do a survey on the spot. I'm examining the furniture as she's asking me to rate things. I did have to pass on the question on "Am I satisfied with the furniture?". I mean, they just dropped it off five minutes ago, how can i tell you if I'm satisfied with it or not?? Oh, and I got an email from Ashley prior to the delivery that showed a picture of the lead delivery guy. I thought that was a nice touch to show me a picture who I was expecting at my home. Overall, I am pretty satisfied. I didn't buy any high-end stuff, so my expectations are in line with the $$ I spent. I felt like I was treated fairly and honestly. read more

I had an amazing experience here! Everyone was patient and answered my many, many questions, which is always appreciated. They also listened to what I was looking for and found pieces that worked with my specs and budget. I highly recommend them! Although everyone was super helpful and responsive, I worked with most with Kate (I hope I got her name right--apologies if I didn't!). She was friendly and convincing without overselling. edit: They were also super communicative and helpful re: delivery--my grandma accepted it for me and was very happy with the experience. The delivery window was about four hours, which is a bit wide but also standard these days. It's worth noting that I live really close to this location, so that may have affected the delivery efficiency, etc. I'd still recommend this location to friends and family in the area. read more

Updated on April 15th, 2018 We ended up cancelling our order and getting a refund. We waited 2 months due to back orders then a rescheduled delivery that was so incorrect that they tried to charge us even after another reschedule. On the third reschedule, it wasnt done correctly even after two phone calls and a store visit to do it correctly. Even the store manager couldnt fix the issue of delivering it on the agreed upon date. We would not recommend this store after this extreme time wasting experience. We had a great experience here! Working with the sales rep Joumana was wonderful. She was helpful, not pushy at all, and a delight to work with. She helped us find the very best items! We ended up getting a chaise couch, a rug, and a bedroom set. Zero buyers remorse from our treatment and the price! Concerned with delivery since they said 2-6 weeks and we have an event in a month but holding my breath. If it arrived prior, will make it 5*s! Update: Very questionable business practices. When we bought our couches, we were told they had to say that but it would be in much earlier (we had a big gathering in a month). Kept checking with them and they kept pushing the date back. Finally the date slid past our event. Wife spoke with the manager who said they would give us the floor model but needed to check the next day with his boss. His boss then said no. Fed up with going up to this place over and over. Finally got the couches at six weeks. Will never go back to any Ashley's after this and recommend that everyone avoid this place like the plague. Don't ever buy from Ashley Furniture again. The store and the credit companies are disconnected, and anything you buy at a store can't be supported on line or by the general Ashley support number. In addition, they will scam you completely with their credit. We bought furniture on credit. We ended up returning some items. The remaining items fell below their threshold for credit. So, I paid with my personal credit card. The store never called Synchrony (their credit company) to take the expense off my card. So, now I am being billed for the furniture I have already paid for. It has been over a month and multiple calls to Synchrony and Ashley and this is still not resolved. And no one I speak to can help me - keep pushing me back to the store or back to a number I already called. Meanwhile Synchrony keeps sending emails and texts for me to pay. Overall, shopping here was a terrible experience. My husband and I bought a new couch here to replace our existing one. Though our initial in-store experience was positive, the delivery challenges and lies that followed made us wish that we had gone somewhere else. When the couch was delivered, we noticed that there was a small rip in the fabric. I understand that mistakes happen, so we rejected the delivery and requested that we receive a new, undamaged couch. I called the store to reschedule and I was told that our order would be expedited. Sounds good. We got rid of our old couch prior to the delivery, so the sooner, the better. However, when they couldn't get a new couch into the warehouse for two weeks, my husband asked Ashley about the supposed expedited delivery. Apparently it doesn't exist. I guess they just wanted to get me off the phone. After waiting for a second couch to get to the warehouse and then scheduling delivery at the store's convenience, they brought the same ripped couch back. They had only made a bad attempt to repair it. At this point, we were pretty upset. We rejected the couch again. My husband went to the store to talk to the manager about either giving us a new couch within the week or refunding us in full. They couldn't meet our timeline, so he asked for the refund. The manager said we would receive it. They next day, the store called me trying to reschedule delivery of the couch and even told me that my husband had come to the store the previous evening to request a new one. I couldn't believe they attempted such a blatant lie. They also said that if we wanted a refund, we had to come to the store. Why did they not do this when my husband was there the previous day? At this point, I lost all trust in the manager and this store. I disputed the charge on my credit card, and my husband was able to go to the store a second time to collect our refund. We have purchased a couch from elsewhere and by the time we receive it, we will have been without a couch for about two months. TLDR: don't waste your time here. Customer service is not above lying to your face and dealing with their warehouse staff is a struggle. read more

***Save yourself the headache and go to a REAL Ashley furniture store. This is not one!*** Unfortunately our experience has not been the best here from day 1 and I wish we cancelled our purchase after the first episode of fishy behavior. Around mid 2018 we went in to buy a couch and coffee table and there were signs that read 60% off all over the store. We had our eye on a ~$1000 couch and ~$600 coffee table which would come down to less than $700 after the discounts. The salesperson was an aggressive man who kept undermining us with rude comments because we weren't making our decision fast enough. Being that I am currently a grad student and we live off of my husbands income, obviously we want to be careful about what we buy and how much we spend (which requires taking time to make a decision). Unfortunately, he also made misogynistic "jokes" about "how difficult women can be," expecting my husband to laugh along. Additionally, the salesman confirmed that everything was, in fact, 60% off including the items we were interested in. Once our total was calculated it was well over $1300. When we asked what's going on with his calculations he explained "free delivery requires a $1000 minimum anyway so we might as well pay that amount because delivery charges would equate it to the same amount." We asked him to adjust back to what the price we were told each item would be. After some back and forth he called us "difficult" again and laughed. I had to call back after we left to have them adjust how much we were charged because I was tired of dealing with the salesman. Now I'm terms of quality of the items and their warranty: I don't recommend buying the extended plan unless you have kids or a pet that can ruin the couch. The store salesman was a hard seller on their 5-year extended warranty plan, explaining that "ANYTHING" is covered. This included "normal wear and tear just call them and they'll replace anything!" This was not the case when I called to replaced the cushions. We noticed after only a year our couch springs were loosening and cushions were losing shape. We sink in to our couch as if this couch is over 10 years old. I called the extended warranty plan and this issue is not covered, only accidents such as tears, stains, or burns. I called The Fairfax Ashley back and the rep explained that since it has been over a year, their store no longer covers anything. I explained to the rep that the Ashely furniture website has a 5 year warranty listed online for couch springs. This is where it gets interesting--apparently this is an individually owned Ashley franchise store? So anything you purchase does not fall under the Ashley companies warranty as listed on their website. I had to call consumer affairs and file ANOTHER claim explaining what is going on with our couch and wait for a response on the product. The Fairfax store should mention their franchise rules and explain their lack of warranty because of their non-affiliation with the Ashley company. Sadly, it seems like we will have to get rid of this couch if the springs and cushion are not replaced. Additionally our coffee table came apart toward the middle but we were able to screw it back in place. All the back and forth is and was not worth it. Neither is the quality of the furniture. The sales team is just out to make the most money they can, they are fast talkers and aggressive sellers. I would steer away from this store. read more

**I sent the following via e-mail after Ashley's asked that I review my experience. I'm posting this on 7/29/19, more than two weeks after the incident and one week after sending this e-mail. I will update if I am contacted.** We are still working with Ashley's furniture Fairfax to resolve an issue. At the moment I am not inclined to leave a positive review or recommend Ashley to friends or family. This is an unfortunate result of us having very high expectations of Ashley Fairfax, that were set by our first interactions, but haven't been met by the last. I would prefer to talk to someone before leaving the following on Google and Facebook, as you requested. My husband and I were ready to leave a glowing review of our experience at Ashley Furniture Fairfax. Our sales woman, Deka, was patient and helpful. The manager, Skip, was friendly and worked hard to get us a comparable price to a quote we were given by an Ashley store in Florida. The warehouse managers were helpful in scheduling our delivery (even if their system isn't ideal) and the men delivering the furniture were quick and considerate of our space. However, when they arrived to deliver our furniture we realized a wrong piece was ordered for us. We received a quick response from every level and all Ashley's personnel expressed how confusing the naming system was and how it was an easy mistake. Everyone [including the awesome Malcom] was so sorry for the mistake and we were told all we had to do was come in and "they would take care of us." However, this is where our positive experience ends. Instead of feeling taken care of, we left feeling taken advantage of. Unlike the rest of the staff, the manager on duty was not friendly. We were not greeted with a smile. When we explained what happened and that we negotiated a price for our furniture thinking we were getting specific pieces - he stated "I'd like to see that original quote" referring to the one received from the Florida store. When we explained we no longer had this, and when we did it was similar to what we were given by our sales woman (a bunch of numbers on a piece of printer paper), he insinuated that we were lying . When we explained that we had worked with another manager who helped us, would he be willing to call that manager - he said "no." He stated it was our fault for not knowing the proper name for the item and not double checking the invoice before finalizing. Even when we took some of the blame, acknowledging we could have done more to ensure the correct piece was ordered, no ownership of fault on the other side was taken. No apologies for the wrong piece being ordered. No thanking us for coming back in and understanding that this is taking more time out of our schedule to straighten out and schedule yet another delivery. No regrets that they couldn't give us the proper piece of furniture at no extra charge. No "taking care of" us. At the end of our interaction with the manager, we asked for the contact information to the original manager we worked with and were told "no." We were told the chain of command was to first contact the store. He ensured us that the message would be relayed and, if the other manager thought it appropriate, we'd be contacted. [This was 7/12/19] It's now been over a week and we haven't been contacted. read more

Sales manager: Lawrence Pan, Saleman: Samir As is the case with other reviews here, if I could give 0 or less stars, I would. This is my 2nd terrible experience here and I'm 100% not going back again ever here again. Here's the chronological order of events: 1) My wife and I go in ~2pm to the store, mainly looking to browse dining tables. We are helped by a salesman named Samir. He informs us of a 50% sale going on that spilled over from Saturday into today (Sunday), together with no taxes or shipping charges. We didn't really like anything at the store so we leave the store letting them know we may be back if we like something we see online. Samir tells us he'll be able to give us a better deal than what we see online. 2) After reaching home and surfing online, we really liked this one dining table on Ashley's website. The price online, with delivery and taxes, comes up to about ~$1270. I give Samir a call to ask him what price can he offer us, and he offers a very vague response asking us to come back to the store. Upon pressing him, he says he'll definitely beat the price online. 3) We didn't really expect them to be able to offer us the same 50% discount, but we were prepared to buy it even if they offered to waive off the shipping charges and taxes. 4) We go back to the store, with check/cash/cards. Upon reaching the store, Samir tells us to wait while he and the manager, Lawrence Pan, check the online price. They kept us waiting for 15mins, and after that, come back to us saying "we will match the price", and "that's the best we can do". 5) I then asked him, then why shouldn't we just buy the product online if it's the same price to which they had no response. Lawrence then asked me what price I was expecting, to which I said "at least something better than the price online". Lawrence then replied with "No sorry sir, thank you for coming in" and just proceeded to turn the other way. Samir the sales person didn't even bother to look at us before leaving. I explained to them that Samir should've at least had the courtesy of doing this homework before enticing us to come back by saying he'll be able to "beat the online price", but it didn't seem like Lawrence or Samir had the decency to listen or respond to us. Both their attitudes just completely changed and became hostile. 6) Before we exited the store, I wanted to go back in to get the full names of both Lawrence and Samir so I could pass on the feedback to corporate. When I went to Samir, Lawrence started following me trying to intimidate me to leave the store. Worst experience in a store ever. Don't get cheated by these guys. Posted a review during my original visit and it was great, but of course everything is great when they are trying to make a sale. Here is my full opinion now that the sales transaction has come to a close... Beware of miscommunication and great sales techniques. Everything was possible when we were being sold the furniture. The sales rep explained that the furniture we liked was available in the system (meaning we wouldn't have to wait for assembly) but they would call us to schedule a delivery.... Fast forward 4 weeks and there hasn't been any phone calls. So we decided to call. Only to find out that the furniture has been ready but in the system they had it marked as delivered... We had to schedule the delivery for a Friday... clearly inconvenient because most people work during the week. After a very non apologetic call for the mix up we decided to call back for clarification and had the PLEASURE of speaking to the WORST customer service rep... Kady Kady should pursue his passion in life because it is not customer service. He belittled our concerns and basically said "what do you want because I have nothing to do with the sales team".... AND then proceeded to laugh about and get an attitude. We eventually speak to the manager who lays out all of the errors during the wrap up of the sale and how information was not placed in the system correctly which caused for the delay in communication to us about the deliver. While the General Manager, Masid was more of a pleasure than Kady we still had to suggest resolutions. Like asking if we can a phone call if there are any cancellations or requesting a later delivery time to avoid having to take off work. Why do I have to suggest this?! I write this novel to say, Ashley Furniture is still quality but please beware. The initial interaction was still great and fun however, why put all of that work in up front just to ruin it at the end? If buying from this location avoid Kady at all means possible and follow up on your delivery status or you will wait 9 months for it read more

We decided to go in for the Columbus Day sale and look around to see if we could find a sectional and a nice sofa for my Grandmother's new house. We had looked at the catalog and found ones that we thought we liked, and when we got into the store we were immediately greeted and showed exactly where the two items were. The entire process took no time and I'm glad we decided to go. They had a warranty option available for cleaning and maintenance and are delivering and setting up for free! Worse customer service ever. From the sale man (Andre') to the girls work at the counter in the back. Andre' was ssssooo nice when selling me the furniture, never did he mentioned that when purchasing the mattress cover is a final sale and cannot be return. After I bought it he gave it to me at that time so I don't need to be delivered. When I fi d out I have another home, I went back to return the cover he argued with me that "oh its final sale, we don't take them back and it's the store policy". Asked to speak with the manager, Tony, was right there in the back but wouldn't talk to me but the two girls chime in and aid I can't return it. I asked to cancel my whole order since it's not deliver or have a delivery date yet. They then said "you have to pay a fee for canceling because those items are "designed" for you so no one can get it anymore". What the hell is that means? I don't even have anything yet and no one can get it after?? Then come delivery day, one of the drawer chests I ordered was damaged, had to Sent back one, called a day later, they have no record of it. The girl answered the phone (Elle) cut me off when I tried to explained why I'm calling and ask for my phone number. Thought she would get the info after getting my number, but then she asked "what's going on?" She then asked "did you pick up the mattress cover yet?" I told her Andre' gave it to me on the day I was there to purchase the furniture and someone else from their store called me days ago to ask me the same question. She then later called back, thought it's an update on my drawer but she said I need to sign the paper that I already received the mattress cover. Why the hell they ask me to sign when I was at the store or when the other girl me days before, and wait until now?! Still have no update on my 2nd drawer. Worse customer service ever! read more

If you want to buy furniture that looks like display or used furniture visit them. If you are fine with terrible after purchase customer care, this is the right place for you. They couldn't resolve issues in 3 months. Staff was helpful during the purchase but pumping the prices up and then claiming they have a 50% off is a hoax. 8.25.2020-Update: This Store is absolute TRASH!!! After I left the below review they contacted me and told me they would be delivering a new chest since I am scheduled to move out of state in a week. They promised they would call me on Monday with a delivery window. Monday came and went and they didn't call. I just called customer service and after I explained the situation to "John" - (I was nice) - the call hung up. Imagine that. I would not spend a dime at this store. Keep your money! I can't believe that I serve my country and this is how I am treated. 8.21.2020-Previous Review: They were happy to take my $3k for bedroom furniture but when I reported an issue w a drawer within 48 hours of delivery - crickets. Every week or so I call or visit( they do NOT return calls nor answer the phone) I've been told again and again that my piece will be in in a couple days, a week... Paid $780 for unfair fine print and (allegedly) corporate policy. Absolutely avoid purchasing furniture from them. My wife and I went to the store and made a purchase of around $3900 for our new place on Saturday night. The said they can deliver the furniture on the next Wednesday and someone will call us to schedule the delivery time the day before deliver. At check out, usually business as initial here there and sign and date here. I thought this was just like any other purchase order so I read it briefly and didn't read INTO it. We got home and realized that none of the furniture would fit. We were glad that on the sale term it says you can have a full refund if cancellation is made within 72 hour after the purchase. So we called the store the next day (on a good faith) to ask for a refund, the rep told me to physically go to the store. Fine, we went. At the store, the sale manager told us to read the fine print on the back of the invoice, of which there is a clause saying the 72 hour period does not apply if the the customer has "scheduled for delivery" and the cancellation would be treated as a RETURN and subjected to 30% restocking fee. We were both shocked because we did not think that giving us a delivery date is really scheduling a delivery. What furniture store would not give people an estimate day to deliver. So basically, with that clause, you would need to pay the 30% restocking fee if you cancel the order, even if you has just signed the paper. So that 72 hour period is a false sense of security that you can get a full refund. No one at the store told me about this or else I certainly would given a second thought. So we were trying to reason with the sale manager that the product is still in the warehouse and we didn't open it. There is nothing to "restock". He said that (probably a lie cause it is very unreasonable) items are loaded on to the delivery truck days ahead of the actual delivery. So he is basically saying I need to pay $1200 for the warehouse to move the item from the truck back to the warehouse. That must be take ALOT of muscle, charging $1200 to move stuff internally. As the conversation get heated, he offered us that he would call the corporate for approval for waiving the restocking fee. He ask us to call back the next day (Monday) and the corporate usually approve the waive. That way we wouldn't disturb his holiday sales. I can't believe I fell for that. That night I already have a bad feel about it so I went on to the Ashley Website to check on corporate term and condition. That is when I realized that "each store is independently owned and operated; therefore, they set individual policies regarding returns and exchanges." If that is the case, the whole "let me ask the headquarter" thing is total BS. The store has the discretion to waive the fee the themselves. The corporate policy does not even that "scheduled for delivery" thing. The next day I called the sales manager again and he said the "corporate" responded that a 20% restocking must be applied, non-negotiable. At THAT point, I know that there is nothing we can do with store cause the manager would just come up with another "corporate policy". So we insisted on cancelling the order and let them charge the fee. I just realized using fine print and ambiguous contract is a better way of making money than actually selling furniture. See? $790, didn't even need to give me the merchandise. At the end, thank you for reading through this long review. And please! AVOID ASHLEY, especially this location. Do not come here. The manager here, named Janni, was really rude. I asked if they would match online which they would (by the way online is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than in store) but they would charge the online delivery fee of $150 as opposed to their usual $69. On the bill, they literally added on the difference. Anyway, I tried to leave and said that I would come back - manager rudely exclaimed that the offer was only good then. I know - my fault to succumbing to this but I made the purchase then. Came back next day for cancellation (you have 72 hours for cancellation/full refund) but power was out. I luckily ran into a different manager named Lawrence who said that he would honor the cancellation/refund. I asked him to write me a note and he gave me his cell. Came back very next morning (now 48 hours) and the same rude manager claimed I couldn't cancel my order because delivery was scheduled. No one had called me at all. The day I purchased they said that they would prob call in 3 days to schedule delivery. Thank goodness I had talked to Lawrence day before because then he made the rude manager refund my $. In all - shop online and then go in the store to see if you like it. Go to the one in Falls Church - much more variety and much friendlier customer service. read more

Hi Everyone, This is my very fisrt review on any review apps or websites, because of Ashley's terrible terrible customer service i am willing to take my time to download the app and write an review. Thats how disappointed and dissatisfied with their customer service. This was THE WORST purchase experience ever in my entire life..... So here is my story! Bought my bed and mattress from Ashley Fairfax on 4/1 and they said it will take them 7-10 days to get my bed delivered so i made my U-haul appointment to move my old bed out of my room. The 1st delivery they only brought one box spring... so i told them to take everything back..... The second delivery they sent me an "defected" bed, with out slauts The third delivery they forgot screws for the hearboard..... There was no 4th time because i drove 20 miles from my home and went into the store myself and returned everything.... I slept on my floor for 2 weeks! All because of Ashleys manager told me that my bed will be delivered in 10 days! Also if Ashley tell you to just leave whatever the stuff that you ordered at your house and they will brinng the rest later?!... DO NOT listen to them because when you try to return your stuff later at the store you will not be able to return everything. You will be just tired of waiting on your stuff because they keep screwing it up... they will say its "USED".... and then you will not be able to return it! Companies like Ashley should not exist and obviously there are not enough people that has been aware of this. So im doing my best to let my word out here so that less people will buy from them and eventually they will be out of business! One last thing, Yelp should have an negative star because i will sure to give Ashley a 5 on that! :) read more

I was skeptical at first buying furniture from Ashley due to the low scores on Yelp, but those scores speak nothing to the service I received. I was greeted immediately upon arrival by James who helped me through the whole process. He was extremely knowledgeable on all of the Ashley products and super friendly. When we were having a hard time deciding on whether or not to add an additional piece, we met Skip who definitely helped explain the warranty and made adding the additional piece worth our while! Jordan helped with the financing aspect and from start to finish this process was super easy and fast.
