What great customer service I received today at Mattress Warehouse on Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg, PA. My sales lady was Tabatha. She was so knowledgeable and could answer every question I had. She took her time with me and I did not feel rushed. She asked me exactly what I was looking for in a bed and had me lay on each bed (some of them twice) if I could not decide which one I liked better. same store, different sleazball My salesperson was Jim and as I entered the small but tidy store he was busy pitching hard to a young couple. Things that turned me off about the store and the salesteam: - referred to the wife as "sweetie" but addressed the male customer by name - made blatant assumptions about the customers without even bothering to ask questions or learn more about who they are and what they were looking for/needed - frequent violation of interpersonal space as the salesteam would often grab your hand and direct you to the part of the mattress they wanted you to feel and touch. them: check out this stitching me (looking): oh that's nice them: NO, check this out *grabs my hand and firmly places it on the stitching* me (quickly snatching hand back): ok, i get it. I was none too please when the salesperson decided to crack a few jokes at my expense - being a single woman trying to purchase a mattress. Hey, guess what? We sleep too. good grief. Oh and he could run a mile a minute, all I wanted to do was lay down on each set and quietly take my notes on my smartphone as I was doing some price comparison shopping. the sales guy said he'd make me an excellent offer, the best in town and had already started to drop prices as I was walking out the door. As I began exiting, he proclaimed that I wouldn't be able to get a better price elsewhere in town. I did. And without the sleazeball sales pitch either. AND free delivery. read more

Our story is very similar to Jay G.'s. Sheraaz gave us a really great price. He said they could deliver any day we wanted, and the delivery people would call early in the morning to tell us what time they were coming. My husband made it clear that he wasn't able to be home ALL day. Sheraaz said, "No problem," and told us that we could just let the delivery people know our schedule limitations and they'd work with us.... But when they called, they said they were coming between 1-4. My husband explained he wouldn't be home between 2-5, and they needed to come before 2 or after 5. No, sorry, 1-4 is set in stone. My husband then called the store and asked them to talk to the delivery guy. The store was no help. The delivery guy called at 3:00 to tell him they were on their way. My husband again explained that he wasn't home. So they didn't bother attempting to deliver our bed and "work with us," as we were promised. The store said we would have to schedule a new delivery date, because we weren't there during our delivery time. (Again, not what we were promised when we were laying down the money to buy the bed.) Since it is totally impossible for us to be at home ALL day, my husband demanded a refund. They said it would take 7-14 business days. So he promptly hung up and called our credit card company to contest the charge. We don't have a new bed, but at least we don't have to deal with those slimballs anymore. read more

I stopped by three mattress dealers before finding this place. (I'd even stopped by another Mattress Warehouse down the street in the Costco/Home Depot plaza, but found the salesperson to be slightly condescending...so I took my little wallet down the street to find this location). This location (near a carpet store and across the street from CVS and T-Mobile) was a little hard to find because there are apparently a zillion mattress stores in Fairfax and this particular store has a sign that for some reason is not lit at night. Anthony at this location was professional, knowledgable, and helped me find what I was looking for. I walked in right before closing, but he took his time and provided enthusiastic service as if I'd walked in at a more reasonable time. I got a great deal and was able to take my two mattresses with me that evening (the other places I visited had no or very limited stock). I went mattress shopping because of a particular sale at Mattress Warehouse. However, I first went to another chain to compare the offerings. At the other chain I was really turned off by the sales tactics and the overselling. When I went into Mattress Warehouse I interacted with 2 different sales people - I told them that I was looking for a particular deal, and they showed me directly to the products on sale. They basically allowed me to examine and judge the mattresses for myself without any pressure, but all my questions were answered. I got handed off to another sales person, and he was great too. They got me exactly what I was looking for at the just the right price. I walked away happy after having a really good experience. Not a great experience at Mattress Warehouse in Fairfax. Our salemans Steve was friendly and helpful. I feel like he worked out a good deal on our new mattress. However, he promised the mattress would be delivered in two days (in time for our company), but the next evening he called to say he was mistaken and the mattress was not in stock, and could not be delivered. Two weeks later, when we finally scheduled a delivery time, the truck shows up without the metal frame, so the delivery guys put the mattress on the floor and promised the frame would be delivered the next day. No call, no show the next day. After several calls to Steve, he promised to "work something out" with his manager such as free delivery, but I never heard back from him. I also tried to contact the district manager three times, and left voice mesages, but never heard back from him. We finally ended up with everything we ordered (and we're very happy with the mattress), but I had to take three days off work for the delivery and put our company up on the floor/couch instead of a bed. NOT worth the headache and we will not be returning to Mattress Warehouse in Fairfax. read more

Absolutely Worst Experience. I bought my bed and have to exchange within 2 weeks as there was fault in the bed. Had to call and visit the store couple times to exchange and then they said I have to pay for shipping as its company policy. I dont understand how a company make such policies which is only useful to them and sell cheap quality beds and say company policy. However after so many calls they waived saying its within 2 weeks of purchase (Online support were better). When I asked to refund they said refund is possible only their store credit which means we have to spend that money on their store itself. So I have to exchange. Even after exchange the bed turned out to be bad. I did email couple times to the same email who replied but never got a reply back. One can clearly observe a pit in the bed. They really sell or I can say make customer fool to buy such low quality beds. read more

I am very pleased with my experience at Mattress Warehouse in Lancaster, PA. Erin Warner has been so helpful throughout the whole process. On Black Friday I bought a really good quality firm king mattress for half off. They told me about their guarantee if I didn't like it in the first 31 to 100 days I could exchange it. Well, the mattress ended up being too firm that was not comfortable at all for me and I was not sleeping well. As I was at the store trying to find a new one to exchange, the same sales were no longer in place. To spend around the same price I would get a bed with 700 coils instead of 2000 coils. I really did not want to drop quality to exchange. For the same quality I was going to have to spend over another thousand dollars. So we left the store thinking about what to do. The next day, Erin called me and she had spoken to some higher up people. They were able to exchange my bed for the same one but less firm. Firm with a plush top. And I didn't have to pay any difference. I really appreciate all of Erin's help and mattress ware houses's good customer service. And both times the delivery happened in a few days. read more

We were shopping for mattress for a while, and had not decided for the right one yet. Had visited some other places and shopping online, but again may be need some advise. My husband has been having a back pain for a couple months already, and seem to getting worst. Chiropractor suggested him to have a firm mattress which will help release the pain. Therefore, stopping by this location was an option to have to someone suggest for the one right to what we were looking for. We first welcome with one of the staff who he introduced us with the new technology of mattress system which once we put in our information, they will match us with a perfect one. Sound interesting!! In additional, a supervisor stepped up to help clarify which mattress fit to our needed. He had explained the details what we need to know about the mattress, differences, similarity, cost, and etc which help us decide which one is matching our needs. We had spent a couple hours here, and it was worth it. So far we got a new mattress, and my husband could feel the different, he said his pain is getting better. How is amazing! We bought an incredible mattress from Ed and Lamar at Mattress Warehouse in Fairfax, VA. The experience started with warm and attentive service at the door (not pushy) and then we were invited to take a bed assessment test. (This blew our minds). Then, we finally tried out the beds and we were truly astonished by the quality. We had been mattress shopping for a few weeks and we had not encountered quality like theirs. We found other mattresses for around $700 to $800 but they were not going to help us sleep better OR last the 10-15 years a good mattress should last. In the end we purchased a great mattress for more than we were planning on spending, but we are SO EXCITED to up our sleep quality game. Ed was extremely helpful and generous on the price. Our salesman and manager acted like we were committing a crime by leaving. He accused us of going to Mattress Firm and that, "they sell used mattresses." I wrote to them the same day with all details. It went to Tracey jones whose auto reply says that she is out of office and contact lucas hale. I forwarded the info to him on 6/28/16 and still waiting for a reply as of july 5, 2016. I left him a voicemail on 7/5/16. Going on 4 weeks ! Go figure !! You be the judge ! read more

Absolutely WORST service and customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a bed and frame online from mattress warehouse. They shipped it to the wrong address because they mixed up my billing address with my shipping address. They then refused to have the bed delivered to the proper address despite their mistake. I paid for the bed to be delivered and set up because I have no way on doing that myself, I do not have a truck and this was the move in day to my new apartment. After speaking with about five different representatives they only offered me a refund of the delivery fee (which didn't change the fact I had no way to get my bed and it wasn't set up at all), or to deliver it way later the following week, which didn't work for me because it was my move in day and I had no bed. Not to mention I had emailed a representative multiple times weeks prior to confirm that the bed would be delivered on the move in date. Terrible service!!! Would NOT recommend to anyone. read more

I am extremely unsatisfied with my recent service in the Chantilly and Centerville stores. Jay sold us a mattress that was not on our comfort match as well as 2 expensive pillows that had us at wrong angles and the 15% coupon from online for using the Sleep technology was not added to our bill. Then when we went in to see about exchange we were told that we would qualify for the free boxspring promotion on the King down mattress (more expensive) that we purchased. When we went back to the Centerville store since they had the Riverbend, the sales person Jonahton called the manager (Jeff) and we were told that was NOT true, we did not qualify for the free boxspring on our new bed. In addition to the comfort exhange fees, difference in price, delivery fees and removal fees - this "easy exchange" cost us over $1200 that could have been avoided IF the staff was properly trained. I do not understand why I am now paying for the boxspring on my new mattress because the employee WAS not trained properly and did not understand the policy? I have left feedback on yelp for the Chantilly store and will continue to leave feedback. This is unacceptable. Then Jonathon offered us "his discount" for our next purchase to make it up to us? IF he can do that, why couldn't he honor the current promotion? read more

Although I feel I bought a good mattress at a fair price all of the customer service that followed was horrendous. When I made the purchase I was told I would be called in two days to arrange my delivery and that they could deliver as late as 5PM. When I received the call I was TOLD when they would deliver it and that time frame was while I was at work. When I mentioned this and the fact I was told I could have it delivered as late as 5 the driver told me to just leave work and that the time slot they gave me was it or I would have to reschedule to fit their time slot. Due to my schedule that meant the following week. As I was told one thing by the store and another by the driver I sought a refund. Not to mention the driver was rude and pushy. I called the store and instead of helping me receive a refund and apologizing for their miscommunication, I was told that the process was difficult and then the sales person tried to make it seem like a huge production and reminded me that they gave me such a good deal. I made it clear that I was not interested in their business any longer and I was hung up on. After going to the store in person later in the day the sales person told me it would take 45 hours to refund my money after he was sure "I didn't actual get the mattress" and after all of the paperwork was processed. I called their number in Maryland, because he wouldn't, and spoke to a customer service person who then told me the refund could take 3-5 weeks!!! Si I guess I will wait a month to get a mattress. If you buy from this Mattress Warehouse or any other beware. You may get a decent price but be ready to looked down upon, mistreated, mislead and hung up on if you seek to remedy a problem. Previously visited MW stores in Chantilly and Leesburg with less than pleasant experience in both locations thanks to pushy sales guys. But the Fairfax store was a very different experience. The new manager was cordial and not pushy. He offered to give us information on the different types of mattresses and what he opined about each, without pushing us to buy anything. He even stayed 30 minutes beyond closing time with patience even though we had not expressed any desire to purchase same day. In the end we decided to go ahead and purchase Cheswick Manor Brentwood Extra firm mattress and he offered us an excellent deal. Delivery and setup was also great, prompt as promised and bed was setup very quickly & efficiently. The mattress is awesome, no complaints. Pleasure doing business here! read more

This was an amazing experience. We started by doing a fun sleep analysis then tested beds that we were recommended. Lamar worked with us and was absolutely wonderful. He knew all the details about each bed off the top of his head and helped us to find the perfect bed. I never felt pressured or unsure or anything negative like that. We ended up buying a mattress, box spring, mattress protector, and 2 pillows and I can't wait until they arrive later today.
