We fell in love with an accent table at the Ashley's Home store. We ordered online, knowing that the item would need assembly. It seemed like a reasonable alternative to the expensive $129 delivery fee that you have to pay if you buy in-store. What we didn't know was that the wood tone of the product we received would be MUCH darker than the example in the store. Then assembly was a disaster because several of the wood pieces were warped and nearly impossible to line up properly. The instructions were ambiguous (and in some instances, just plain wrong). We won't purchase from Ashley's again, because we certainly won't be doing the order-online-get-it-delivered-to-your-house-then-try-to-put-it-together thing ever again. read more

I ordered a bed online on Thanksgiving weekend delivery date was set for December 12th rearranged my entire schedule for this delivery only to be called the morning of the delivery that they don't have any in stock! After calling around 2 find out that there is nothing that they can do with complete attitude from all Representatives including from corporate I still don't have my bed and I can't have it until after the New Year. I loathe this place. I just can't. But I do. Why? Because they have good furniture at reasonable prices. However, avoid the actual store. 1. The prices are cheaper online 2. They will price match their online in store, BUT they charge shipping (it's free online) 3. You are stalked the minute - scratch that - second you walk in the door. One person "claims" you and literally follows you around. Sometimes not RIGHT behind you but so close you can smell the bad cologne. 4. You make a big purchase (we recently bought a couch and kitchen table) and they love you. Will kiss your feet if you ask them. If you come in later for end tables they say - and I quote - "I don't have time for small purchases. Go online. It's free shipping anyways." Then walked away. If you must go. They told us part of the order will be deliver on October and the rest on November. October came and past and not a single email from the furniture or anyone. I called and they have a automated system and it says 10-14 more weeks to schedule a delivery. I called to cancel my order, no body can help you. They have people taking the phone calls with barely internet signal so they can not hear or you can not hear them, It's a nightmare. After 7 phone calls I finally cancelled my order. Then my sales person called. He called just because I cancelled. That's why they call. I was convince that I'll have my furniture in another week or so. For sure before thanksgiving. After waiting for days i finally got a phone call for delivery. Waited one month for delivery and when table arrived it was missing one part and they could not put it together. So then they told me I will have to wait another 4-6 weeks. I called them up and complained, then they supposed to deliver on next Sunday. We had appointment and one day before delivery they call to tell me that manufacturer discontinued it. What ? Within a day all changed? And when I look at documents it was written "Made in China". So I guess they were overnighting table from China. This a joke. BEWARE! Furniture arrived with missing pieces, hardware and scratches. Their own delivery team said it was unacceptable and the delivery was rejected on the spot. They gave us two choices: accept it or take a 10% restocking fee. Manager Michael Cardenas was great at the store and even said: "there is no fee to return" and we could reach out anytime. When the moment came to reach out to him, he didn't answer text, VM and passed on the ball to his other manager. The interesting part is on their paperwork it says " At Ashley HomeStore, we believe that you and your shopping experience with us matters. I had quite an experience when I first walked into Ashley's Furniture. I called hours ahead to confirm pricing for a price match from a competitor. The employee I spoke to confirmed that they would honor the price. When I walked into the store with my wife and two kids, I expected a quick exchange to pay for the sofa and be done. That was not the case at all. I was greeted by the employee I spoke to earlier and he told me that there may be a problem honoring the price since the company they needed to call was now closed for the day. I asked what else I can do? He stated that I could find another store in the state of Texas that was open at the time. He would then price match with that store. I proceeded to google and confirm two stores in Dallas and Katy Texas which would meet the requirements he gave me. He then walked away to meet with a manager only to come back to tell me that he could not honor those price match quotes either. I asked for the manager and he told me that the manager did not want to speak to me. I refused that answer, as I had a gut feeling he was lying, so I got up and found the manager myself. After speaking to the manager, I realized that the employee agreed to honor the price match just to get me in the door. He broke several of their terms and conditions only to lie in hopes I would be stupid enough to accept what he said. When found and talked to Manager Chris Wilson, we had a respectful chat about everything that took place. After hearing my story, he decided he should do the right thing and honor the price match commitment originally confirmed. A man has his word and Chris honored that, and I'm very thankful for his commitment. Not only did he honor his word, but he got my sofa shipped and delivered 2 days later. I know this probably doesn't exemplify a normal experience to Ashley's Furniture but I wanted to share mine. I would say, if you're going to visit there, ask for Chris Wilson, and he'll take good care of you. If I was rating this review before talking to the manager, it old be a one star. To say I am unhappy with Ashley Homestore would be an understatement. The Fairborn ,Ohio sales staff was ok but PROBLEM #1. Recliner ordered. 11\05 pick up date was 11\19. Not happy with that lag time. PROBLEM #2 warehouse hours 12 noon till ....store neglected to advise me as I arrived 1 hour prior to opening. PROBLEM #3. Initially told my chair was lost somewhere in the warehouse. PROBLEM #4 wrong chair was delivered plus the chair I ordered was not in stock and I could go "pick another one". What do I want to do? PROBLEM #5. I paid by check the check has cleared my bank but I will get a check in the mail in 15 days. I will never ever deal with this company again. This is my 2nd negative with Ashley HomeStore. I purchased furniture and THEY threw in a supposedly FREE pillow that was worth over 200.00 which is ridiculous in my opinion because I would never pay that ridiculous amount for a pillow. After I left that store I went to Rooms to Go furniture store and was in shock at the price differences. I picked out a entire living room set plus pull out be, the large carpet, end tables, lamps, two side chairs, coffee table all for less than half of what I was going to have to finance through ASHLEY so i immediately cancelled my order from ASHLEY and immediately drove to the store to return the hard, heavy, useless, pillow. They would not take it back, told me I had to keep it and pay for it and they had the nerve to add a late fee to the free pillow. I disputed it and I lost because they claim some policy that is not existing on any paperwork I signed. Very shady way to make someone pay for something they tried to return and the customer service was unprofessional, no knowledge of furniture, too much playing and goofing around, and couldn't answer simple questions. Furniture is priced too high, quality is no different or better than Rooms to go, they don't have a large selection and the furniture is not a modern and vibrant as Rooms to go. Very, very unsatisfied with Ashley delivery service. I bought a sectional couch and paid for the couch in full. To begin, I had to wait over a month before receiving even a part of my couch. They couldn't deliver all 3 pieces in one day, so they had to schedule two separate delivery days. The first delivery day and time was confirmed by automated calls and texts (which continue over and over again, even after you confirm). I take that time off of work to be home for delivery. Then, I get another automated call saying the date has been changed. I call customer service and after a long conversation, the bottom line is the date stays the same. Then another phone call comes in and now the time range has changed. I have to readjust my days from work and receive part of my sofa. I call to confirm the second delivery, get a date and time, take off of work for that day, and...you guessed it, I get an automated call for a different day. I call the deliver service this time and I'm told that they date was changed because they don't have the piece in the warehouse. I asked, "How can someone confirm a deliver date without having the piece in the warehouse". Again, another long conversation. I was offered a refund for the deliver charge which I most definitely accepted. I readjusted my time off from work to meet the new day and time. I receive the automated call two days before delivery, confirm it, think all is well, but the day before delivery I get another automated call with a different time!!!!! This new time interferes with my work so I'm having to adjust yet again. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! NO CONSISTENCY. NO COMMUNICATION. NO PROFFESSIONALISM. NO RELIANCE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. My call got routed a couple times to corporate customer service and they tried to transfer me back to the store. Had to make an inconvenient trip to correct t the order, then the delivery was so late they came while I was preparing dinner and couldn't inspect the furniture. We will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture ever again after this last experience. We ordered a sectional back in June and we finally received word it was ready for delivery September 24th. We sold and had our previous couch removed from our home the day before to have space for our new sectional. We received a call early on delivery day telling us that they damaged one of the two pieces of the sectional and that they'd deliver the piece that wasn't damaged for now. They told us we'd have to wait until the other piece was delivered to their store to have it delivered to our home... in another 2-3 months. So we have half a couch in our living room, with family coming for the holidays and no where for everyone to sit. We were also told that because of the inconvenience, we would receive a "$50 inconvenience refund"... on a $1,400 purchase made almost 5 months ago. We still haven't received any refund, nor have we gotten any updates on the other half of our couch that we have already been charged for. She ran My credit Through multiple credit sources and comes back to tell me Ive been approved through two separate places one for $2,200 and one for $3,700. The couch was $3,000 so I said I wouldnt need the $2,200 one. She said "Ok no worries We wont use that one" we finalize everything And I ask again "just to be sure when will everything be ready?" She replied "Two to three weeks but they will send a text with confirmation in a few days" ok Great I left. A few days went by no text/call or email about anything so I made a call to check. They told me "your order wont be ready until the Middle of July." Three fucking months away! THREE MONTHS AWAY! Why the hell would I purchase a couch to be ready in 3 months!? I purchased a $3,400 sectional from Ashley Furniture in August 2020, by January 2021, the seat that was used the most was already sinking significantly. I submitted a claim to have that evaluated and hopefully replaced. First, their customer service response time is just horrific. It takes 1-2h on hold to be connected to a representative and more often than not the calls drops after you are connected or placed on hold by the representative. They finally sent a technician, after at least half a dozen of calls. The "technician" did as much as looked at the sofa, for good 30 seconds and determined "it meets the manufacturer's standard" and "nothing is broken". Funny, how no one at the company can explain what that standard is. I asked at least 5 people and nobody knows where that information is but they all keep referring to "the manufacturer's standard" as the golden rule. So I am stuck with a $3400 item that cannot be repaired or replaced, because there is nothing wrong with it, apparently, but when I sit on it, it sinks so much that's its impossible to get up. Mind you, I'm 150lbs, not a big person. I would expect that if I spent $800-1000 for it, but not at that price point. Awful experience. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

Worst online return policy. I bought a desk chair for my husband that was not comfortable. Ashley doesn't pay for return shipping unless the item is broken or damaged. We needed a new couch and decided upon a sectional couch at Ashley Furniture. We visited the store twice before making a final selection on 8/7/19. We paid $500 cash and put the remaining balance on our debit card. The saleswoman, Ana, was very patient as we made our selection. After we paid and were scheduling delivery we were told it would be ONE MONTH before our delivery on 9/7/19. We almost cancelled the order right then and there, we should have. We truly truly should have. One month without a couch is forever! We were patiently counting the days until our delivery date of 9/7/19. On 9/5/19 we received a call to schedule a second delivery for a missing section of the sectional! What? The entire sectional was not available for delivery. We were so disappointed. So on the evening of 9/5/19 we went back to the store to discuss our purchase. We spoke with Ana Perez, a manager and explained that we've already waited a month and now our entire couch will not be delivered. She had another manager come to the front to speak with us, David Delafuente. We explained to him that we were not receiving our couch and really needed something asap for our family of 6. We asked if another item was available for immediate delivery. He stated, possibly, but it would not be on 9/7/19 our original delivery date. He said the trucks were already full for delivery of items purchased over the Labor Day weekend. Wait! What?! So people that purchased 3 to 4 days previously were getting their furniture on 9/7/19 but our purchase made a month ago could not be fulfilled. Completely upset and frustrated we asked for our money back. Mr. Delafunte said we could get our money back, but it would take 4 to 6 WEEKS to return it to us AND we would have to pay a 10% fee for cancelling the order. An order that Ashley Furniture could not fulfill, no fault of our own. To say it mildly, we were beyond upset and frustrated. Bottomline...We have now waited over a month, for a couch that was paid in full, Ashley wants us to wait 4 to 6 more weeks for a partial refund, therefore postponing another purchase elsewhere...this is completely unreasonable....we are basically stuck with this company. We felt backed into a corner with no reasonable resolution. We finally asked them to go ahead and deliver the first part of the couch on 9/7/19 and they said the second part of the sectional would be delivered on 9/16/19. We asked if this was a guarantee...they said no. The management staff we spoke with were completely unhelpful and they couldn't care less about us. Their attitude towards the situation was horrible, as he grinned he was not responsible for it. They said there was nothing they could do. But after several minutes back and forth, they took off the delivery charge. The delivery charge for a couch we have no idea when and if is coming...but we still have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for that refund too! On 9/6/19, we received a call from Mark with the Warehouse Delivery Dept. Mark is the only person so far sympathetic to our situation. He explained when our couch (first part) would arrive, when the drivers would be here and what to expect during the process. He also mentioned this occurs with sectionals and he is not sure exactly why...but it happens. Thank you Mark for being the only honest person at Ashley! The drivers called and arrived within our scheduled delivery window and unloaded the couch. Unfortunately, the "NEW" couch was unwrapped, dirty and torn underneath in several places. Really, if we wanted a used couch we could have gone that route, but we wanted a NEW couch. When a new item is purchased you expect a certain quality...this was no where near that...now we question if we are receiving used furniture. We rejected the torn couch and receive a call from Customer service before the delivery guys could even get it back on the truck. They said someone would be in touch soon. So far, we have not heard from anyone at Ashley, we are out of our money, and we don't have a couch. Customer service is not a priority with this company. He wasn't overbearing but made himself available. He went above and beyond to help us get all the available sales and discounts for Labor Day. I would recommend him to anyone. I would give my experience with Ashley's a ZERO. I ordered my furniture in January with a $500 deposit, so this is a sizable order. I waited till March 13th for my delivery for over 9 hours, I had to contact the store and was given the run around and excuses. I contacted the store again the following day since I had to reschedule with the warehouse, again I waited from 9am -4pm on Saturday for another NO SHOW. Again I called the store and got nothing but excuses. I visited the store on Sunday to cancel my order but was persuaded to wait till Jim could contact his DM and get this resolved. I waited till Tuesday at 6pm and returned to the store for a refund of my deposit & to cancel my order. Don't any help from Management here. My address was changed on my delivery which has caused a big delay on my delivery. It was left up to me to get corrected. If you need your furniture in the same year you paid for it - DON'T but it from Ashley Furniture. Best prices, I give them that, but TERRIBLE service and commitment. I went to the store and bought a sofa, chair and a half, and ottoman on OCTOBER 13, 2020. I was told I would receive delivery NOVEMBER 25, 2020 and expected it for Thanksgiving. After confirming the delivery a week before, they then told me delivery would be delayed until December 10, 2020. On December 7th they sent a TXT confirming delivery on the 10th (by 6pm) and said I could not change the delivery date, it was confirmed. On December 8th I was called and told it would not be delivered. They said the Sofa was in the warehouse, the ottoman would be in the warehouse on December 13th but the Chair and a half would not be in the warehouse until January 1st. I made several calls to customer service who confirmed this and since I had gotten rid of my furniture in preparation for the delivery, needed the sofa delivered and I would pick up the ottoman myself and could wait for the chair and a half. They said they would "put in a ticket" as that sounded reasonable. I called on the 14th when they would deliver the sofa and if I could pick up the ottoman and THAT customer support person told me NONE of the items were available in the warehouse. That person told me no such ticket was in the system and that the sofa was NOT in the warehouse and could not be delivered until January 7th!!! I asked about who lied and they made excuses about "the automated system" but I said I spoke to a PERSON. So, as a person who teaches companies about customer service, I said so you are taking no responsibility for this? Essentially they said no and they would let me know when delivery would be in January. I am sitting in my living room on lawn chairs over Christmas. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I was lied to and one customer service person admitted I was "told something that was not true". I may (or may not) get the furniture in January - 86 DAYS AFTER I ORDERED IT - IF IT IS DELIVERED ON JANUARY 7th - of which I have no confidence or... 43 days (and 2 holidays) after it was supposed to be delivered. If I do receive the furniture, I would NOT buy anything else from this place. read more

Bought a couch and an oversized chair on July 5th. Was scheduled to be delivered today August 23rd. My girlfriend and I took off work today so we could be here when the delivery came. Nothing showed up. Then at 6pm or so, I get an email that says the delivery will be made November 23rd. No phone call or anything from them to let me know my delivery would be 3 months late...very unprofessional and very disappointed with the service. Will never shop there again. read more

Ashley having a 1 or 2 star rating on every website there is does not surprise me one bit. This has got to be one of the worst customer service I've ever encountered!! Me and my husband bought a couch from them weeks ago for our new home, a home that we told the guy we bought it from we were moving into in a few days after buying the couch. After waiting a couple of weeks we get a notification telling us we're getting the couch in a week and we were both very excited (we didn't know anything about this store before that) but then after about a week we get another notification telling us we won't be getting the couch in another 2 or 3 months!! Which was obviously shocking. My husband called and after quite some time finally got in touch with the store we bought it from and the same guy and he, very enthusiastically, tried to get us to get store credit instead of cancelling or some other crap like that which we obviously denied and said we just wanted a refund and here we are weeks later and still no refund!! So not only have we had to be in our new home for over a month with no couch AND had to go on another few week hunt for a new couch but they're also not refunding us and spouting some bull about things that they should be doing to get the refund through but are trying to tell us to do! Firstly, what kind of furniture store sells products they don't have in stock!? That is absolutely ridiculous! Secondly, who really thinks that people are willing to wait months for a new furniture!? Especially something as important as a couch! I don't know why I didn't bother to read reviews about this place before I bought from it and that was clearly a very big mistake! I don't think I've ever seen such bad reviews for any business! Ashley, at least here in Pflugerville and probably everywhere else, is a joke! We will never do our business with this company and I'll tell as many as I can to avoid this store altogether. What kind of business gets such horrible reviews but does nothing to change that!??? Ashley should and hopefully will go out of business in the end if they're not going to change their ways. Worst furniture store I've ever done business with. Do not shop at Ashley! Once again, it has been two months and my king bed is still in parts in my bedroom. We have had two failed attempts to deliver the hardware, correct hardware and missing hardware, for this king bed. I ordered an entire king suite and I've been sleeping with a mattress on the floor since all other pieces were delivered but hardware. I ordered this furniture Memorial Day weekend, that is not a typo, it's been months. I would never purchase from Ashley again, just read their reviews and save yourself a nightmare with customer service and delivery. Albert, the store manager at Southpark Meadows is a terrible example of leadership, he never calls back and when I went in to the store to speak to him he said it's out of his hands. It's another department now. I guess once the purchase is finalized customer service goes out the door. Run from Ashley! read more
