Horrible customer service. We ordered a bedroom set and when it was delivered the delivery crew informed that the forgot the screws necessary to assemble the bed set. We were then told that I would have to wait almost 2 weeks for this to be corrected as that was the earliest date for someone to come out. After escalating this though customer service we were then given an earlier date of July 2, 2021 between 5pm and 11pm for someone to come out and assemble the bed set. In the mean time we will be sleeping on the mattress and box spring which are very low as they are on the ground. The bed being on the floor is a big problem for us due to having a bad back. It is difficult for us to get up and down from low places. Please be careful when ordering from Ashley which is a part of City Furniture...they have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more

Bought a sofa from them. Now its 9 months and the sofa is foiling apart. Called 4 time to the warranty dep. I waited on line (Each time) about 1 hour so someone will tell you that they will transfer you to the warranty dept. I asked them for the tel. number for the warranty dept. but the answer I got is you have to call the regular tel. number and then I waited for another hour to talk to the warranty dept. so they can tell you its not covered under the warranty. I will never buy from them again as there product is low quality and 0 service. One star is too high for them, but there is no less. read more

We bought Bedroom furniture at the store. It was to be delivered in May 1, 2021. When they delivered the Mattress and the Furniture they didn't bring the rails to put the bed together and also the night stands were missing. They came back today to bring the rails to put the bed together. When the opened the box for the draws that go under the bed on the side they were destroyed they were all in pieces so again they couldn't put the bed together. My son is so upset it his apartment where the furniture is going. He has to sleep in the couch all this time. We went to the store to let them know what was going on and the two sales girls I spoke to were horrible and and would not listen to what I had to say. They were telling me to make a claim online. I told them we didn't even get the whole order yet why would we make a claim. The girl was so nasty and horrible. I asked for a manager very loudly. The manager came over and sat us down and said we would have to wait until the 28th for the new draws and the night stands so the bed would not be assembled until then. It is utterly ridiculous. The manager said all he can do was comp the delivery charge. I'm sorry but that is unacceptable. My son wants to send the whole order back and the manager says we have to call customer service so here I am waiting on hold for at least 40 minutes now. This is totally insane. We spent $4,800.00 dollars and this is the Customer Service we get. There is no guarantee that the draws or the night stand won't be in pieces. Never again will I shop at that store or City Furniture ever again!!!! I am beside myself!!!!!! Ashley Store - Here is the set I brought a few days ago on sale online for Presidents' Day. I should get the sale price but they won't give it to me!!!! - Furniture Stores Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

Ashley Furniture and City Furniture have lost my business with this terrible experience. I ordered a couch and accent chair for delivery, and warned my Sales Rep about the small entrance way to my condo. The couch did not fit, and after telling the customer care agent I spoke with I needed a minute to think; THEY cancelled my order and the delivery guys refused to come back with my accent chair that could have still been delivered because my delivery was "cancelled". The delivery guys hit a tree and complained to me around how heavy the couch was for them and that they couldn't lift it before proceeding to lift. I went to Ashley/City Furniture in person to see if I could swap my couch that was incapable of being delivered for an item of equal value. I got my original couch on sale for $700 off, so they decided the sales price was the value couch I would be able to swap for and had 0% wiggle room or sympathy for why a $1600 offer was not good enough for a couch worth $2300. After speaking with my sales agent and two extremely unhelpful managers later and making no progress; I decided to take my business for a couch to Rooms to Go. My sales agent Nick and the manager he called over told me they'd refund me $1900 when I had the manager called over to have the "restocking fee" cancelled because there was absolutely no way I way paying that for all of City Furnitures errors they adimetely attempted to make my problem. They refunded me $1800 charging me the restocking fee anyways. I told them the truth; you are effectively robbing me and I will have to mark this charge as theft; which finally got them to refund it, with some anger showing. I AM ANGRY, they can be as mad as they want. Got my chair delivered a week later FINALLY. Extremely disappointed with this experience and lack of professionalism, courtesy, and maturity found at City/Ashley Furniture. read more

UPDATE: A lovely individual from the social media monitoring department reached out to me was able to facilitate delivery of the sofa to my apartment. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3 because of that person. Were it not for an incredibly negative experience when I was trying to solve this issue with the store manager at this location, I would gladly re-rate to 5 stars. Overall, I'm pleased and I now have a sofa. I'll chalk it up as a positive experience. The worst furniture buying experience of my life. I purchased a sectional and was informed that 'congratulations! You qualify for free premium delivery!' Awesome. I left the store, put my old sofa on letgo and prepare for my scheduled delivery two days later. However, once my sofa arrived, the delivery person proceeded to inform me that I would not, in fact be receiving my sofa as it will not fit in the elevator. When mentioned the obvious alternative option, the stairs, he informed me that they 'don't do fourth floor'. I bought all new living room furniture for a brand new house and was super excited because this is my first home. The salesman was super helpful and kept talking about how great the customer service was and how if I ever had any problems they would bend over backwards to make it right. Well everything got delivered and within 2 weeks of it being here a leg snapped off on a loveseat I ordered. Now I get it, sometimes these things happen. Manufacturers defects exist and that's why there are warranties. I'm not giving a one star review soley because of that. I'm giving it because of what followed. I immediately submitted a warranty claim, and since this is a new house I of course had a housewarming party coming up in a month, so I needed to get this resolved before then. I completed the process, and called and emailed to follow-up on it. Every response was "sorry for the delay, someone will contact you in 48 hours." Well 3 weeks later is when I got the first call. Their first appointment availability? 3 weeks afte. That was just to come look it, not to resolve it. I of course called back up and was upset and told them that was not reasonable and explained why I needed it fixed sooner. I spoke to an agent and spoke to a manager. I gave them the opportunity to either fix it sooner, or give me store credit, or give a refund. Their ultimate resolution? Too bad deal with it. So yeah. Thats what you can expect from Ashely Furniture. Update: after writing this review as 1 star initially, they contacted me and made it a priority to get someone to home and fix it. Read the receipt carefully and make sure you know what you are buying because the representatives clearly do not pay enough attention to what you are buying or what they are doing. I specifically asked my sales representative repeatedly whether the bed I was purchasing included the metal framing under the foundation. She said yes. When the delivery men came today to drop off the bed, no frame. I called to speak to the representative about this, she wasn't there, and all they said was that since it wasn't on the receipt I don't get one and it has to be purchased separately. I do not intend to purchase the frame from this place, in fact, I do not intend to purchase anything from this place ever again, and I suggest everyone else do the same. read more

This store is basically the white people version of El Dorado. There are some cool pieces, some modern, some really gawdy and ugly but the most important thing is price for most people. Luckily this store shares the same building with City Furniture to help you truly compare. The selections are solid and like I said, if you're on a budget then they offer some nice alternatives. I came to Ashley's furniture about three months ago getting preparation for our first house. Not knowing the cost of how much furniture was and we are pretty nervous! Making sure that we have everything that we need. Were the type of people that like to just buy it at once everything so we really wanted to make sure that we stuck to our theme of the house. From a business owner I understand that people get upset and had bad experiences, reading these reviews I had the complete opposite of every single person that I have wrote a negative thing! I came in and met with Michelle. By far the best ever. She went above and beyond for us in every single area! We ordered two bedroom sets, living room, kitchen, miscellaneous items. We went and purchased everything on a day where they had a big sale so we took advantage of the discounts and free shipping and installation which is recommended. Saves you a lot of money Three months go by and we kept in touch with Michelle, finally the day was here and we got everything delivered. One day they spent about installing everything at our home. Some items were on back order but that is just part of business so we didn't really mind waiting. The next week came and we got her items so we didn't wait too long. The installation crew was absolutely amazing friendly and super super professional!! I basically live that Ashley's furniture every week going back-and-forth looking at new things. There is always somebody in the front that takes care of you and when you walk around the store and you didn't see anyone somebody will always come up to you and say somebody be with right with!! On top of that they have a complementary cookies and drinks so when you are spending a couple hours there they give you complementary beverages and snacks. Ryan was absolutely professional and helped us out tremendously when we wanted to do some complicating changes. I will highly recommend this furniture store. Every piece of furniture that we ordered was beautiful, nothing was cheap at all, unless you're going to buy the cheapest furniture, just an overall excellent experience. Pros: This store has some nice sales reps. Better prices online on Ashely.com. Cons: everything else, had an issue with the delivery. Which was they forgot the legs of my coffetable and it's beee over 2 weeks and nothing. The phone calls at Ashely will take at minimum of 10 minutes wait and if you are lucky the first agent might answer all your questions before hanging up on you because she thinks you have one question only. Worst prices are in the store. Don't waste time with going to store unless you really just want to feel and sit in the furniture. read more

We visited this shop to buy a king size bed frame. They were very friendly and had a good range of furniture in many different styles. The sales staff were informative. We settled on a king size wooden bed frame which cost around $3K. We were assured of the best delivery and after sales care and bought an extra warranty for $300 which was supposed to cover all accidental damage etc. We left the store pleased with our purchase. Delivery was set two days later. The delivery guy came to our house with two large boxes, unpacked them and then realized that there were missing boxes, he left the boxes and said he will be back in a few days - A bit disappointing but not that bad Indeed a few days later he came back and completed the job - all was good Possibly about 10 days later we noticed that the wood on one side of the bed appeared to have split, we went to the store who said that you need to call the warranty place, the store were not that interested in attending to us - well at that point we were glad to have the warranty We then called the warranty and they asked to send a picture - we did this and then called up, they said that this is not covered as the damage was entirely our fault which it definitely was not. They said that the warranty does not cover it - a very different story to that when we were buying the bed which they said would cover everything and you will not have to worry at all. Essentially it appears that the warranty is totally meaningless and a complete waste of $300K they are extremely unhelpful once you have made your purchase and for wood to split on a bed only 10 days after must mean bad quality read more

Do not go to this store. I have never been so disappointed with customer service in my entire life. We were told false information about and were over charged for a purchase we made and the store manager refused to take responsibility or help us in any way. He also refused to give us a contact for anyone above him. As someone who works at a large company, I'm confident that at such a large company that a store manager was not our only option for communication about the issue. So once again, absolutely horrible customer service. The sales person lied to us simply to make a profit. They do not care about your satisfaction and will say and do anything to trick you into a sale. We were more than understanding and offered every possible alternative and the manager refused to acknowledge their horrible mistake or help us. It's honestly heartbreaking for a family like ours who is living pay check to pay check. I sincerely pray that if you're reading this your family does not have to go through what we just experienced. What a disappointing, frustrating joke! I was a simple sale of $4K and these morons couldn't deliver...literally. They gave me a "Customer (Don't) Care" number that hung up on me every time that I called - before AND after the deal was cancelled. These con-artists failed to deliver on-time and had a myriad of worthless excuses and outright lies as to why it was my fault that they had breached their delivery contract. This place is a scam! The last time I spoke to my sales rep was when I called to inform her that their "tracking application" was reporting that they would be at least 90 minutes later than the delivery window that had been promised. She never called me back and nobody was able to explain why I had not at least received a courtesy call to communicate that I needed to waste more of my Sunday than I had already wasted. I did, though, receive several follow up calls to try to reschedule the delivery. As if I was going to fall for that nonsense again... As others have said: Shopper Beware! I asked a sales person to help and he rushed the entire order in 5 minutes and was pushy about making the payment quickly without letting me review the order because he had another customer waiting. So after I said something regarding that, he went and got another sales person to take over so he could work with his other customer. THEN, after looking at my order, they were not willing to offer the SAME price that Ashley's website showed, nor the same warranty service, and was overcharging me $400. Don't even bother. A REAL NIGHTMARE . About a month ago I went to Ashley furniture very excited just bought my first house and I needed everything. i spent over $6500 dollar on furniture, bedroom, living room, dinning room, mattress. how exciting right? The WORST experience ever! EVERY single piece of furniture came with issues. My table came with broken glass TWICE. Scratches, broken, defected, ripped. The biggest issue is i also bought a matress and when it was delivered it was a completly different matress. So i contacted customer service and also went to the store. DANA did everything she could to help me but they actually wanted me to pay $400 dollars extra to get a different matress that was more like the one i originally bought. I've been calling customer seevice several times and have been put on hold for over 40 minutes as well as been hung up on. I Have spoken to everyone and explained to customer service over and over and over again, ive also sent pictures of the damages to the furniture. I am so frustrated and beyond upset over this whole ordeal. Last week I made an agreement with the store and paid $ 270 extra and yesterday they made the exchange after a month I finally got to sleep in a mattress. But this is not the end yet. Yesterday they came to my house to do an inspection on the furniture they told me that someone from the costumer service would call me in a 30 minutes so far more than 24 hours later I still have not received any calls from anyone, to finish this NIGHTMARE , another day when I was talking to someone from the costumer service the girl had the balls to offer me 25 gift for my inconvenience , I never felt so offended in my life, If I could I had returned everything back and buy somewhere else. This store has the worst customer service that I have ever seen, right down to outright lying, and giving out a false email address (I went to an email verification site). I purchased a sleeper sofa and paid for an upgraded memory foam mattress. It was supposed to be delivered the next day between 5 and 7. It showed up at 8 with a tear in the back and an innerspring mattress. I spoke to customer service on the phone who insisted that I did not pay for a memory phone mattress, even though it says so on my invoice, and says so on the bedframe. She was quite rude and insistent. I called customer service the next day, and after being on hold for over 20 minutes, left my number for a callback that never came. I then called the store directly and spoke to a sales person who looked at my invoice and agreed that I should have the memory foam mattress. She gave me an email address and told me exactly what to write. She made a point of saying that if I didn't hear back in 24 hours I should call back. Of course, the address was fake. I can understand mistakes and then trying to make things right, but these people are completely dishonest. Stay away. Additional Note: I them went to the store and spoke to the general manager. I have never met anyone who was so RUDE, BELLIGERENT, ARGUMENTATIVE, CONDESCENDING AND DOWNRIGHT MENACING! I brought the pictures of the tags on the mattress and the mattress itself and he said "it doesn't mean anything," and that I didn't know the difference between an innerspring and a memory foam. I asked him to show me a memory foam and when I sat on it I knew right away that it was not what I received. I showed him the 2 pictures side by side and asked if he couldn't see the difference and he said "I don't know what you're talking about." VERY RUDE. Then he said in a very menacing voice, "You bring in that mattress and I'll give you $200 if it's a memory foam, and you have to give me $100 if it's not." Who speaks to their customers that way? Why are these people allowed to have jobs when so many decent people are looking for one? I plan on reporting them to the head office (if they even care) the BBB, and whoever the equivalent of 7 On Your Side is down here. This business needs to be stopped. read more

If you want to get ripped off and pay more shop at Ashley. If you want to save money, visit your local Faith Farm. Ashley supposedly donates or sells to faith farm their discontinued pieces for less. I purchased a coffee table, console and a love seat at boca location. Shocker, faith farm had same items totaling $360 less. I spoke to the "general manager Ryan" , complete waste of time, I got him the the prices from faith farm with pictures. He said he would gave to check with corp. I asked to just give some kind of credit, then he had the nerve to say that he would lose money because I signed up for 18 month credit card that the sales person offered. I wrote to corp and got a generic letter saying they will look into. Ryan has horrible customer service, I had to keep contacting him. I could tell after the third call, I was just bothering him, I think he was hoping I would just stop. It's pretty sad that a faith farm store advertised Ashley furniture over the radio for discounted price. It's over a week with no response from anyone. I paid off my 18 month card and cancelled. TOTAL SCAM!!!!! Cheap "made in China furniture with inflated prices". Great job Ryan at being a manager with crappy customer skills. It will make your employees proud. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased the most expensive Tempurpedic bed and a dining room set. I was told I had 90 days to sleep on the bed and if I needed to exchange it I could. What they don't tell you, it's hidden in the small print, is that you can exchange the bed, but if your bed is more expensive you get a store credit. If I had bought it directly from Tempurpedic I would have gotten a full refund. The bed I tried in the store was incredibly soft, which is what I wanted. The bed that was delivered to me is very firm. They told me it might take time for the memory foam to inflate. It's been over 6 weeks and it feels the same. Customer service sent someone to evaluate the bed, and even after he told them it was defective, unless I get the exact same bed, I have to pay $130 restocking fee and $120 delivery fee. Their customer service reps are like zombies repeating the same thing over and over " it's written in your return policy". They don't care about customer service at all. Your better off never buying anything from this store as I believe once they have your money you can , as my father used to say, "go pound salt".
