Was gladly helped by Jess who took care of me from showing me all the options that would work best not just in price range but for any sleeping preferences I had as well. She answered all my questions and gave me all the information I needed to work with to feel like I was making the right decision for me. Most importantly she didn't try to pressure me into something I wasn't comfortable with! The staff here was very friendly and they have a good amount of showroom options to try, would definitely recommend coming here if you're in the market for a new bed. I was very apprehensive buying a new mattress since I was replacing a fairly new mattress (bought elsewhere) that failed, but not enough for the company to honor their warranty. Shanela, the store manager, understood my concerns and was super patient with me. I found the mattress that I wanted along with an adjustable base and was give quotes a great price. As someone who has been elite on yelp for years, I take my reviews very seriously, I rarely rip a business, unless it is well deserved. That said, a week ago I walked into this mattress firm location on sunrise Highway in Wantagh. The store was empty with the exception of one salesman. He approached me with a polite greeting, and I explained to him very clearly that I was there to purchase a foundation for a memory foam mattress that I had just purchased online. I presumed that they sell dozens of these every day, given that most of what they sell is memory foam mattresses and foundations (boxsprings) that accompany them. He told me off the top of his head that he didn't think he had what I was looking for, looked briefly at his computer screen while tapping a couple of keys; then confirmed to my face, "no, we don't have what you are looking for." I asked him specifically, should I check another mattress firm location or could he speak for the others as far as availability. He said, "yeah it's gonna be same wherever you go " Now I don't know what this gentleman's motives were for deceiving me, but I naturally went to the East Meadow location days later and found no problem purchasing just what I wanted from a nice lady who was frankly shocked by her colleague's actions. Or should I say inactions. What a shame, people, that you need to be careful, particularly when you are forgoing the big ticket item at a store at which people work on commission. read more

It had been several years since I purchased a new mattress and was not looking forward to going thru the hassle of having to deal with pushy dishonest sales people.Then I read the reviews on line about the Mattress Firm location in Wantagh and I thought I would give it shot because everyone raves about Ed! From the moment he greeted us I knew we were off to a good start. He pointed in the direction of what we were looking for explained what we needed to do to get a feel for picking out the right mattress for our needs. He was never pushy. He did not Hoover over us and annoy us. We spent an hour and fourty five minutes laying down on all different beds. He answered all our questions made us feel so relaxed and was completely honest with us as if we were his own family. We left there so excited and happy with our purchase and felt me made the right choice. Having been in my job for 27 years of customer service it's not often that I find someone who genuinely cares about his job and about the company he works for. We had our bed delivered today and the 2 men were wonderful they put the bootys on to protect our carpets and did an amazing job of removing the old bed and box spring and bringing up the new one. Went to this location for every bed my wife and I have ever had. We needed to get into a king size mattress now. We were unable to be approved for a higher credit limit for financing, the district manager Chris Hoffman was so helpful, he worked with us to see what else they could do to make us happy. Need somewhere to take the crazy kids on a rainy day? Mattress shopping! Didn't realize how much fun the kiddos would have "testing" mattresses and running through the aisles. Ed totally got it, having raised a few of his own, and was amused rather than annoyed by the rowdiness. Our little girl outgrew her toddler bed, so we were looking for a full size mattress to fit her convertible crib headboard. Ed showed us the ideal mattress for our budget and explained that soft, medium and firm all have the same support for the little one's spinal growth, just different toppers. He entertained our homage to Goldilocks and the Three Bears while she chose the firmness that was "not too hard, not too soft, but just right!" Coincidentally (or not), she chose medium. They allegedly can't negotiate prices but they do beat competitor pricing for a similar mattress. Having already browsed a few stores, we decided this was the spot to order our mattress, low profile bunkie board (instead of box spring) and frame. Everything was ready for pickup the next day at a nearby warehouse, the process couldn't have been easier. We love the look of the bed frames that are no longer on wheels and the low profile bunkie board that allows for the bed to sit lower to the ground. Most of all, we love the plush, somewhat firm comfort of the mattress. I highly recommend this place for mattress hunters. Everything from the shopping to the sale to the pick-up to the comfortable, sleepy nights have been nothing less than "just right." read more

We went to this location since it's the closest to our house. We walked in and were greeted by Kathy. She asked which one of us was looking for a mattress (same sex couple) and I replied we both were. Slight pause from Kathy then it was off to the races to find us the perfect mattress. She started by asking us about our normal sleep positions and then we were given appropriate pillows based on that answer. From there, we tried a number of mattresses while Kathy explained the features of each. There was no rush and she took the time to go over everything with us. She also explained Mattress Firm's policies regarding returns which made me feel better in case the mattress we chose doesn't work out for some reason. Went in to buy a bed on Sunday July 4th sale. Nice saleswoman purchased a bed then went home and realized same bed online could get free shipping and 15 percent off called sleepys to cancel order 1 hour after purchase, they do not want to credit my credit card back. Had to call credit company and stop the charge with them. Do not buy from sleepys they will not refund your money we never even picked up the bed it was all done on the computer they are not reputable. Stay away I've called them four times will never buy from them again. They keep telling me a manager will call me in 24 hours and never does, very sad company. read more
