I would never buy furniture from Ashley's again. The furniture they sent me was severely damaged on the inside but you couldn't tell from the outside. We didn't notice for a while because we didn't use the furniture for months. We were still within our warranty period when we turned it in but they will not correct the situation. The technician they sent did his best to repair but said the repairs were not up to company standards and there was nothing he could do. I was told they would call me in three days, I got a call six business days later. Ashley's will not take credit. I've submitted a request to talk to a manager and they were supposed to call within three days but I still have not received a call five business days later. I've called them countless times since this all started and there is never anyone who can help with my situation. Their customer service is terrible. One person told me I should have reported it in "the first month or two" and the next told me it would have had to be within three days of delivery. I recommend buying furniture anywhere else but Ashley's. read more

I purchased a dining set from them in August and it was delivered Sept. 19th.We also purchased a 5 year warranty from them. Feb. 5 we moved it for the first time. The stabilizing bar broke due to the bolts being stripped when assembled by them and we immediately contacted them and sent photos. 1 month later I went back to the store to find out what was going on because they were just telling us they were waiting for corporate to respond. They said they were still waiting. I asked for corporates number. Called them again...still nothing. We are now in April. Now they are using Covid-19 as an excuse to do nothing. Even though they did nothing before this. Do NOT buy from them. Their furniture is expensive and not well put together and they do NOT honor their own warranty. They give you the runaround and never take care of anything pushing the blame from store to corporate and back again. read more

There wasn't anyone to walk us back but than we were looking throughout the store and Chevelle found us and directed us to the right spot. And helped us find the right bed for both of us. They were very knowledgable about their products - quality, price, etc. We ended up purchasing our family room furniture from Ashley. Speaking of, the Harrisburg store is probably the nicest, with the best selection of the Ashley stores we've been in. Not sure what that's about. But, they really had a great selection in an expansive showroom. Wish the one closer to my home was like that. This is the third time I've purchased furniture from Ashley's in the last 10 years and I'd go back again without hesitation. I have too many kids to afford high-end pieces of furniture. We're on a middle-of-the-road budget. And, Ashley's have plenty of decent quality pieces available for very reasonable prices (and good financing terms). read more

By far the worst furniture experience ever in life. I'm a repeat Ashley's customer, but don't buy from this store. I ordered a sectional specifically so I could give a salesperson my commission. The delivery company refused to carry the sofa upstairs to my apartment. It's up several flights of stairs, so I get it. But when I called to get a refund the store manager Joe said he'd get his warehouse people to deliver it. After three weeks of calling these people and Joe saying he'd call back with information, not to mention trying to contact the district manager DJ, I finally had to dispute the transaction with my bank. Any positive experience we had with Jarrett, our salesperson, has been completely erased. We purchased a dining room set in store only to find out that the SAME EXACT SET was available on the Ashley Furniture website for $200 less. When I called the store, I was given a complete runaround about price matching. I was informed that the physical stores and website were two different companies and they did not have a price match policy but would try to "adjust the price" to get it as close as possible. The manager at this store was smug and promised to call corporate on my behalf to adjust the price but never called me back. My experience was filled with one excuse after another and no resolution or follow through. 8 phone calls, 3 days, and a return trip to the store later ... I finally have a refund. I came to Ashley furniture store looking for a living room set to purchase for my new home. When I walked in I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed anything. So I took it upon myself to look for myself. The furniture was beautiful and I was very interested in walking out with something nice that day. So I finally find someone to help me answer some questions . And I honestly got very upset because the associate wasn't personable at all he kept leaving to go help other ppl in the middle of my sale and had me waiting for over an hour. Just to not receive the answers to my questions. Honestly would have bought something if I had someone actually help me go through the process but I didn't have the best experience so I left. We paid extra for their "insurance" to only find out that they will not honor it for some excuse or another. Management could not be more clueless and are just as arrogant and the floor employees. Worst experience of my life. Manager is a joke. Laughs at you while you ask questions. Has no control over his team. Blames the deal on the sales person. Late delivery. No communication. When asked to speak with someone else was given the Corp number. And then the manager told me they will just send you back here you will never talk to anyone. No one will help you. My first experience with Ashley furniture and I wish I never walked in the door. 10k Down the drain. I purchased a whole home worth of furniture from Wolfe furniture and when I had a problem the manager of the store came to my himself. That is someone who cares. I was told by the Ashley manager that I'm in sales so I know how it is. I'm sure no one will care, this will go no where and I will never get contacted by a district manager or owner that must be on with how there company runs. But if this helps stop one person from buying there I'm happy. All could have been handled with what was promised. Prob 400 bucks. Ruined a 10k sales and lifetime customers. Very short sighted. I am writing this review because my Daughter and her fiancé bought a Livingroom set from the Harrisburg location, and a couple days later bought a whole bedroom set. The store was suppose to have both sets delivered together, but instead said that they couldn't, so my Daughter had to pay 2 payments of $99 for them to be delivered. The bedroom set was delivered 1st, and they both had to work, so I went over to receive the delivery. The delivery guys put the bed together and had me sign a paper and talk to a woman on the phone, so I could say all was delivered ok. I expressed to the woman on the phone that I was not the home owners and that once they got home and inspected everything, if there was a problem they would call back. Well with the box spring and mattress the bed came up passed my Daughters waist!!! They need a ladder to get on the bed, so they called and ask if they could exchange the box spring for a thinner one. After a few days it was arranged for thinner ones to be delivered, but a whole other $99 delivery fee!!!! My Daughter ask if they could waive the fee considering they just spent a whole lot of money in their store. NOPE, doesn't matter!!! Sounds to me like they don't really care about their customers or how much they spend, and in the end my Daughter and her fiancé spent $300 for delivery of their furniture, which is unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

My wife and I just moved to the Harrisburg area from San Francisco. We discarded large items of furniture before heading East. We shopped for leather couches at 6 or 7 big player furniture stores. We were very picky on what we were looking for and found a sofa & love seat that met our specs and great Labor Day sale price. Delivery was on schedule and we were quite happy with the whole process. After 2 days though our cats were going to town with their "freshly clipped" claws into my top-grain leather cushions...that still had that 'new-car smell". I was more than a little distraught with the couch's cosmetic future. I contacted our salesman John and together with the warehouse manager Jason, they found a solution which made us very happy and satisfied. A little long to explain here but I will go back for future shopping with them knowing they do support and service what they sell. This is my first Yelp review and I read the other 2 posts which are pretty negative. Can't speak on that but I had a good experience and recommend you at least go there and talk to them and see for yourself. read more

We bought a couch set and are very happy with it. We paid to get it delivered and the movers were very professional, nice and quick. What I didn't like is I was told they would text me the day before to give me a time range when they were coming and if I couldn't keep that time I would be charged a rescheduling fee. So I made sure it was on a day I was off. The time they texted me was 430-730pm them I get a phone call at 200pm saying they would be there in 30 min which they were but it's a good thing I was home!! I have bought two bedroom sets at Ashley over the past 5 years. Each time I was helped by a professional and courteous salesperson. The last purchase I made included a new dresser for a previously purchased bedroom set. When I was informed that my set was discontinued, my salesperson went above and beyond to help me find something to match it. It looks terrific with the set even though it's not an exact match. Ashley is very accommodating with their delivery, which is also another reason I prefer to shop there. They often are able to deliver your items within a week or two, so there's no long waiting for your new furniture. When there was slight damage on the wooden bed rails, Ashley immediately offered to replace the item. Now I am in need of new living room furniture and plan to stop in this week. They have great sales and financing packages as well. read more

We walked in about 3 weeks ago to look at some living room furniture and the woman (Yvette) that approached us was very nice and informative. Yvette gave us plenty of options and was very polite to us throughout the whole experience. Great job Yvette! We also met Karen who we think is the manager of the store, who was very accommodating, and sweet as well. I can't forget the gentleman who offered us a bottle of water, he was very hospitable and kind as well. I apologize for not getting his name. We bought bedroom furniture in 2013. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The furniture seems well made and my husband and I love it. We just bought leather furniture for our Family Room. I gave 4 Stars because some of it came damaged, BUT the customer service was fantastic!!!! They replaced it and brought out the new delivery in less than 2 weeks. I was recently in the store to purchase living room furniture. Heather was the fabulous sales person who worked (patiently) with me while I tried nearly every sofa in the store. I was not sure the fit of the coffee and end table we selected and was told that if I did not schedule right away, I could still receive a full refund within 72 hours. Joe was the person who checked me and my son out, he was not a very kind person to be working in customer service. I returned the next day after deciding to not purchase the coffee and end table. Joe said he was busy (appeared only to be sitting there eating peanuts) and I could wait at a nearby table for a little until he had time to help me(there was no other customer there, nor was he on the phone). I explained that I couldn't wait because we were expecting guests for a birthday party for my elderly mom. He said he would call me later. I kept my phone close-he never called. Monday I tried to call and was on hold for over 30 minutes and still no one picked up, so I went online and asked for help on there. I immediately was connected with Elaina who was very helpful. She tried for the next two days to find the price Joe quoted me, to no avail. I cancelled my order all together because the cost was so much more than I was told it would be. The reason I shopped at the one day sale was because I was looking for a better deal. When quoted one price and then given one over $100 more, I was not happy. Not sure I will be back, if the GM is miserable and setting the tone for the service dept, the future may not be too good. read more

I have nothing good to say about this store. Let's start by saying most of my house is furnished by Ashley. Generally prices are decent and they have good financing options. Since moving from the Poconos I started going to the location in Harrisburg. First time buying my living room set the woman helping me was extremely rude but I let it go thinking it was a one time thing. Yesterday I went to buy a mattress. The man helping me couldn't give me any details on warranty, delivery, or financing. I go to talk to the woman at the help desk. She informs me she's working on 4 hours of sleep and doesn't know what she's doing. At this point I realize EVERYONE is wearing their masks inappropriately. The woman helping us had hers around her chin and was wiping her nose with her hand. She later handed me the phone without washing her hands so I could talk to the credit department, even though I'm sure that was also her job. Poor job of taking care of their clients during a PANDEMIC and poor job of knowing literally anything about their products. I won't be going back. read more

Purchased an extra large Porter TV stand from this location earlier this evening. Rich was very helpful in addressing our questions and concerns while we browsed their selection; he was even kind enough to offer us a considerable discount considering my husband's military service. My only complaint is that Ashley Furniture does not seem to carry many TV stand options that are 72 inches. However, I am happy with my purchase and am excited for its delivery in a few weeks. I had a TERRIBLE experience with Ashley Furniture! They called me to schedule delivery of my furniture. We set it up for Monday Feb 3rd. They said they would call the day before to establish a time. I received a phone call 48 hours before, and they gave me a four hour window for delivery from 10 AM to 2 PM. They said if this did not suit, I could reschedule. When I called to reschedule, they said I would have to pay an additional delivery fee. They said their policy is if you reschedule within 72 hours of delivery, then you have to pay an additional delivery fee. So if that is their policy, why would they not call you 72 hours prior to the delivery and give you the option to change your mind?? Furthermore, why would you have to pay for a delivery that you never received? And what is the sense of calling to confirm the appointment if they're going to charge you for it anyway? I have purchased a lot of furniture in my life, and I have NEVER had such terrible customer service! I was given the option to cancel the order, at a 30% restocking fee! I have purchased furniture from Broyhill, NB leibman, Raymour and flannigan and they're customer service far exceeds Ashley!!! Buyers beware.. Ashley will steal yOur money charging all these fees ! I will NEVER purchase from them again! And for the record, I had an unfortunate situation arise which is why I needed too change delivery to begin with. I spoke with the manger and she was less than helpful , put me on hold, never came back to the phone and then i was disconnected!! When I called back she was too busy to come too the phone! I spent several hours trying to make up my mind as to what type of furniture I wanted and the sales person was extremely patient with me. He made sure I was fully satisfied and pleased with the choice I made. I did have to contact them after my furniture was delivered to inform them about a defect however, they took care of the problem in a timely manner. Three years ago I bought a 995.00 dining room table and chairs and within the first year many of the legs fell apart. When I got it I chose not to have it delivered and my brother put it together so I didn't think too much about it, I just chalked it up to my brothers ineptitude. Two years ago I bought a 2000 king bedroom set along with like 2000 for a new plush king mattress and boxspring and had it all delivered and "professionally" set up. WIthin the first year the bed fell apart. It was a hassle getting someone to come out....it took a few calls for them to send someone out to look at it. Then they come out and had the wrong parts..had to leave and come back. Still had the wrong parts but ended up putting queen size railings up and left and then a week and a half later I get the king size rails delivered to my front door. I call and no one will come out to change it. I was told to just put it in my basement in case I need extra parts. But I just want the right parts on my bed to begin with. I didn't bother ever taking the frame apart to change the side rails out so the king rails are just in a box in the basement. . NOW...Just within the last month, two of the handles on my dresser fell off and there is very little wear and tear on them. I am looking to get a living room now and will not consider going back to ashleys again! Both the dining room and bedroom furniture I bought fell apart within a little over a year. What a waste of over 5000. read more

I called to express my concern and the manager--Derek --blamed the salesperson for not checking in with me. He gave me a delivery date of July 29, a work day. Could not be happier with the service that we received from Ashley. My wife and I purchased an entire living room set of furniture (sectional couches and tables). The original set that we had purchased, once delivered did not fit into our living room as we had planned. We called the store and explained our situation. They said that they would be able to take the furniture back but would have to pay a 25% restocking fee to return the already delivered furniture (we had agreed to this on paperwork we signed). Because we were still going to be purchasing from Ashley we asked them to work with us on the restocking fee. They lowered the restocking fee and took the patience of helping my wife and I pick out new furniture for our bowling alley living room. Horace, Craig, Angela, and Shannon all helped us out and were extremely professional in the process. My wife and I could not be happier with our experience at Ashley Furniture Home Store. We recently closed on a house and since we live in a small apartment needed to get at least a dining room table and chairs. Luckily, we were closing on the house right near the labor day sale so we headed here, just to see what they had. Our salesman Rich was excellent. I HATE overly pushy salespeople. Rich allowed us to look and see what they had to offer and stepped in every once in a while to see if we had any questions or to tell us something worthwhile about a piece we were looking at. Not once did he pressure us into making a purchase. We didn't make a purchase that weekend but after mulling it over we decided on the Tamilo table and 6 chairs and went back this weekend right before the sale ended to make our purchase. The process was easy albeit expensive but we're hoping that this set will last our family years. We're looking forward to eventually upgrading our bedroom set where we will of course, get from Ashley's. I will say the one negative is there is a delivery fee which we didn't know about until we were ready to pay for our order. Also there is only one delivery day each week for our area but we're hopeful that this won't be an issue. read more

If I was able to give this company a 0 rating, I would. That would be more suitable for this horrible "furniture" company. What a disgrace and disappointment this place is. They have HORRIBLE customer service, management and false advertise their products. I placed an order with a sales associate and the order finally arrived to the store and was DIFFERENT than what was pictured online. The manager, Joe, stated that he would return the item; however, I would have to pay 30% restock fee. I questioned why I needed to pay that since the item is NOT what it is pictured online and he reported "that's the risk you take from ordering online". He agreed that it was pictured differently; however, cannot do anything. I called corporate who reported in fact that Joe can decide the decision regarding the restock fee. Joe stated that if he removed the 30% fee, his "store" would lose money. DO NOT give them a PENNY. I asked to speak to the store manager on the phone and the response I received was, "they are not taking calls today because it is our busy day". This place is a joke. You would be foolish to purchase anything from these snakes. You would have better luck and quality purchasing from Walmart! read more
