This Ashley Furniture is located directly across of target in salt lake. Not wanting to return to the location in Aiea near pearlridge because of a pushy sales person, we decided to try this one. My first visit was about a month ago: As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted by Sean who asked us if we were looking for anything in particular. I mentioned that we were looking for a sectional sofa. We browsed a little wanting to see options but weren't serious about purchasing yet as our home completion date kept getting delayed. I did have my heart set on a particular sectional which I wanted to come back for later. Prior to leaving I asked for Sean's business card. Fast forward to couple of days ago I had emailed Sean about some questions I had and his work schedule so we can come in and actually buy what I had originally wanted. Today 5/8: Again we were immediately greeted by Sean where I mentioned I was the one who sent him an email. I thought we were going to purchase that perfect sectional but my kids had changed their minds and decided it wasn't comfortable enough for them. Asked Sean if he could show me sectionals they had in either a white or cream color. There were actually quite a few on the floor that he said they have or will be able to order in the color that I wanted! So if you see something you want but don't see it in the color, you should definitely ask. After a lot of going back and forth and Sean finding out the measurements for me, the kids and I finally agreed on one (because the husband could care less)! He was so patient the entire time, I never felt rushed, he didn't get upset when I kept changing my mind or asked about prices. Just a warning, they don't have a whole lot of selection like their Aiea store. If you're unhappy with customer service at any of the other locations, take a photo of the tag of what you want, then come to this location and ask for Sean. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company has completely failed to meet its contractual obligations, and the customer service experience has been nothing short of frustrating. From the beginning, I found myself having to chase them down just to get basic updates or answers. Promises were made--none of which were kept without repeated follow-up on my part. At no point during this process did I feel like a valued customer. Communication was poor, timelines were ignored, and any accountability for delays or lack of progress was deflected or outright ignored. It's exhausting when you have to do all the legwork just to get the service you already paid for. Save yourself the time, stress, and disappointment. We did a bit of window shopping here after moving in. Had a few small side pieces of furniture to get still... a couple night stands specifically. They have a huge assortment from various classes of furniture. From wall painting and decorative pillows, to lazy boy sofas. The variety is definitely there for any budget. The sales folks are very helpful. They do virtually "tag" you as you come in so your salesperson is yours until you leave the store, if that makes sense. :) We ended up getting our bed, sofa, and several side tables from them. I am just so sick of this place. Seems like every piece I get from them is a low-budget counterfeit version of a legitimate piece of furniture. $3000 Lazyboy couch had unsealed compartments within the body that will host colonies of bugs. Near impossible to eradicate and seal off. Worst piece of furniture I ever bought. Will never buy Lazyboy again. Two other pieces I purchased assembled and delivered, but assembly was sloppy and I had to rebuild both of them. Just last week I bought an end table and given their past I decided to pick it up at the warehouse and assemble it myself. Simple stuff - just 8 bolts , four long and four short. Problem is the long bolts are too long for their intended application - See picture. Had to waste more time driving to a hardware store to spend more money buying proper hardware. Ashley Furniture owes me $8. They really shaft you here. Either they overcharge you for delivery and poor assembly, or you can pick up a piece of garbage from the warehouse that can't be assembled properly. Reading the reviews it seems poor quality and assembly is a consistent problem with their business model. Don't waste your time with this place. I think Ashley's in Salt Lake store is way better than any other store on this island. They have nice things there. We came here looking for a new dining table. The one we found was perfect. A high table with barstool hight chairs. We couldn't pick it up until today because the warehouse was closed the day we made the purchase. Putting the table and chairs together was a chore. Seventeen allen wrench screws per chair and eight for the table. It took a while to get it together and it came out really nice. The salesman we dealt with were really friendly and professional. Location: Right next to the Target in Aiea, this place is tucked away in the back streets. Plenty of free parking. The large pick-up dock is located down the street and to the left of the gallery. Very fast service there also Gallery: You'll be VERY surprised at how sophisticated and coordinated the showroom galleries are! They not only display the their furniture, but give you ideas for setting and decor. They sell the table settings, accesories, etc! Guess this is where they get you to spend more huh? Customer service: Bert was really nice and was able to honor the special 3-day weekend sale to me and my grandma for 20% total order. My husband and I are really disappointed with the Ashley Furniture store at this location. Back in November (2019) we purchased a rocking chair for our newborn's nursery. Like most furniture stores the sales reps somewhat follow you around the store and ask if you need help - and try their best to get you to buy something. Which is fine - I understand that's their job. We ended up purchasing this particular chair, and were told by our rep that they didn't have it in stock however, it could be shipped to O'ahu by the beginning of January. Since our newborn wasn't due until February we didn't mind waiting. January came around and we rec'd no follow up call, or status on the order. My husband called Ashley Furniture store in the middle of January and was told that our chair wouldn't be arriving on the date originally given to us - per the rep it would be a week late. This was already frustrating because we had planned our nursery set up to coincide with the same time the chair would be arriving so that we would have everything together by the time our newborn arrived. A week or so passed - and still no phone call from this Ashley location. When my husband called to follow up AGAIN - he was told that our chair would not be arriving until February & that the original sales rep that had helped us in store, no longer worked for this company hence why we weren't notified that our item wouldn't be arriving on time.   Obviously - someone dropped the ball. Customers come to Ashley Furniture store, get followed around, and almost pushed into purchasing a product. Mind you - the items at this store are NOT cheap so I expect decent customer service if I'm spending my money on something so expensive. We did not get decent customer service here. We waited months with no phones calls, no follow ups, no notifications given to us - just to have someone tell us that they didn't have it. What makes this even more frustrating is that their "excuse" as to why no one followed up with us is because the original sales person left. Is that what happens when people leave? The reps push people into buying an item, they get the sale, customers pay money, and you just forget about them? You don't care if paying customers ever receive their product? How come there was no procedure in place to have another sales rep follow up?   This experience was extremely disappointing - my husband and I just opted to receive a refund instead and purchase another item somewhere else. We bought a complete set back in July and wanted to return it because it was to bulky in our home. Kept calling and got so many different people with different answers. I was so irritated that no one could give me a straight answer. Finally, spoke to someone in Customer Care, I think Chris who helped me. When we bought the furniture our sales person who told us we can finance - no payment, no interest for 6 months. That was far from the truth. No interest but you still need to make the payments. I argued with Wells Fargo (that is their finance company). They are just as clueless. Never buying from Ashley again. And our cushions are already sagging. Only 4 months old. But that was just a scam to follow us thru the aisles & plop the pillow down at every mattress we viewed. I declined every chance to lay my head on the community pillow but there she was, behind us at every turn, ready to plop the pillow down & discuss budget. I told her we wanted to just browse the mattresses alone & my only question was: The displayed prices showed cost of mattress with box spring but we didnt need box spring cuz we have a platform bed, so I asked how to determine price for mattress only. She took her pillow back & warned us that we would void any warranty if we put the mattress directly on the platform bed because "platform beds are not approved for supporting a mattress" Then she told us we would need to purchase a "support board" for $80 to place under the mattress. Really? You're telling me that a platform bed with a platform already built in -for the sole purpose of placing the mattress on- is somehow not sufficient to support the mattress and requires an additional board?! When I asked her to show me this board, I almost burst in laughter. It was literally a peg board that you can get at Home Depot for $10-$20, the kind with holes in it that is used to hang tools & stuff on a garage wall, not even real wood. I couldnt believe it. I asked if this was a store policy or policy associated with a certain brand of mattress. She tried to tell me its every brand of mattress for the last 10 years in the whole U.S. , like some kind of national mattress law LMAO. We left immediately & went across the street to America's Mattress, where they actually have real brands like Serta & Seally and the sales associates never heard of such law. We purchased a mattress, had it delivered, and even called Serta to confirm that there is no such "platform law" that would restrict our warranty. BLUF: One of the greatest customer service experiences I have ever had! Linda, Elizabeth, and Tawny took care of my every need! Long story: I was in the market for a new king bed to surprise my wife for valentines day. I was in a school in Schofield so I was pretty far away. On lunch I stopped by the Navy Exchange and found the exact bed I wanted. I Ashley Home Furniture Kira King Size bed. They had it at a great price, but unfortunately it was not in stock. I put my name on the wait list and decided to shop around the island. I stopped by Ashley Homestore and they had the bed in stock. I was greeted by Linda, who is so kind, I didnt know what to make of her..haha. She told me should could give me a discount for being military and gave me the total price of the bed which was a bit more than the NEX. I decided to wait to see if the NEX would give me a call. I called the NEX every few days, and they seemed to become frustrated with my calling. I then called Linda back, and she told me to buy it from the NEX because they would have the best price. Fast forward a few more days, and I decided to buy it from Ashley home furniture. My plan was to surprise my wife with the delivery Friday. I stopped by to pay on Tuesday, but unfortunately their delivery schedule was closed out for the week. I decided to hold off on paying in case the NEX received a shipment. I called Linda the next day to let her know what happened and she advised me to pay and she would she what she could do. They ended up using their other delivery service that normally costs $75 extra, but they waived the fee. The delivery team shows up with the bed and they notice the head board is damaged. They contact me and the store to let them know. I told them I would like a headboard that wasnt damaged and it turns out they couldnt finish the delivery that day. The delivery team left all the extra parts to the bed in my room, which I wasnt happy about. I contacted the store and they apologized and refunded the delivery fee. They also scheduled delivery for the next day, which it turns out was a blessing because a California king bed frame was sent, not a king (my mattress would have fit anyways). Saturday comes and the delivery team arrives. They begin setting up the bed and notice damage to one of the rails. I contacted the store and told them I would be willing to accept the damage for a discount and they agreed to give me 10%. The delivery team thought they needed to pick up a different footboard, but it turns out they footboard fit just fine. I spoke to Linda on Saturday and she was very informative about what fit and why it fit. Turns out the delivery guys assumed the footboard needed to be different, but after calling their manager learned it should fit. All said and done I love my new bed. The drawers stick a bit, so I emailed the store and Tawny immediately forwarded my email to customer support. Customer support called me on their day off to schedule a time to have a technician come and look at the drawers. I couldnt be happier with the level of attention and quality of customer service I received. Literally every time I called with a concern, it was ALWAYS addressed and my calls were ALWAYS returned. I decided to update this review since I calmed down a lot since yesterday. My fiancé bought a Cali. King bed frame ( 3/14) .. super nice one too. At a price tag of $1,600 you would think all the pieces would be there, not in this case but first we gotta talk about everything from the beginning. My other half (like most guys) go into a store pretty much knowing what they're looking for, kinda like a in and out deal. He was followed around by one of the salesmen. They exchanged some small talk and the original frame he wanted they didn't have in stock but they could order it for us.. est. time 1 month. Ok no, on to the next. The salesman didn't really give much options but continued to follow him around like a shadow. At this point my other half is getting annoyed but sees a frame almost on his way out. Perfect they have it in stock! They close the sale, he adds on delivery even though we live down the street. Salesman tells him the schedule dept will contact him in a couple of hours to go over the times of delivery. So we wait..then wait.. wait someone. Around 5pm I tell him to call the store and speak to the schedule dept bc we got shit to do the next day and I'd be damned wasting my ONE day off for nothing. Salesman finally gets on the phone and says the dept will call after 7pm to set up. WHAT? Welp, cant do much. Finally someone calls and doesn't ask but tells us they're coming between 12-2pm. We go through this whole thing of he said/she said before just saying fine! 12-2pm. Then yesterday happened (3/15) I was taking a nap so I didn't see them drop it off but he said the delivery guys were nice and professional so no problems with them. He wakes me up to help him carry some of the boxes up to the room and help him assemble. We get kind of a lot done. we did the headboard and outside frame as well as some of the drawers but we realize there's fricken pieces missing!!!! Crucial parts at that! like to hold up the frame and the mattress. So he calls the store and get's transferred around. One of the girls gets our Salesman on the phone and how my fiancé didn't blow up, the world may never know. So basically he said there's nothing that can be done. He could order it but it's gonna take a month. They can't get us the pieces from the display model. Kinda like a "oh well, tough luck deal" Couldn't even figure out a solution before we hung up.I forgot how we got a hold of another girl but she was a sweetheart and really the only reason im giving 2 stars. she tried to help us the best she could and I really wish we got her name bc she was the only saving grace to us not breaking down everything and dropping it off at the store while demanding a refund. Ashleys salespeople are a damn joke BUT their customer service team is pretty amazing. And I can say this bc I had a similar incident happen years ago where I bought a living room set and there were things missing and the customer service reps had to fix the problem. So last night we dragged our mattress into the living room and slept on that. Mr. C our wonderfully shit salesman. Came here in the beginning of the month (July 2015) to pick up a couch. I immediately fell in love with the couch set by the front door. Took me 10 minutes to find an available sale associate and immediately told them what I wanted. I wish I remember our sales associates name. She was very helpful. We went ahead and purchased a coffee table, end tables, throw rug and lamps to complete our living room set. She asked us what color scheme we wanted for our living room and she helped us pick out color tones. The couch we wanted was on back order so we waited 3 weeks for it to come in. The wait was worth it. I do have to comment the store manager for helping me out with some issues we encountered with the 3rd party delivery men. Store manager was great and helpful. The couches my husband and I originally bought were delivered on time with no damage. However, the couches did not fit in our living room. I called to see about exchanging them and I was helped right away with a document number. My husband and I went into Ashley's and we were helped right away by Linda, again. She knew what we were originally looking for and helped us to pick the perfect couch for our needs and lifestyle. The couch we picked is so versatile and we are so grateful that we were able to pick a new one that suits us and will fit better in our home and future homes. Boycott this store already. Bought a dining set that included a table and 4 chairs. When I got home and opened the box to assemble it. Never had hardware and instructions in it. So I called them the next day. They said they would call me back, but never did. I called them again the next day and they said they couldn't find it, and that they would have to order the hardware. And they said they dont know how long it takes to come in. I waited a whole week for the hardware to come in. Again got home to assemble. Got the table up and only 3 chairs up. I'm satisfied with Ashley's efforts to resolve the problems we had. Enough to raise my original 1-star to a 3-star for an overall experience - based solely on how they handled the problems. I've seen some review stating how they're not helpful when issues arrive. Honestly, I think Ashley went out of their way to make us happy. As bad as the situation was, I believe I would consider returning in the future for other needs. He even took us to their clearance section to see if their were any deals there. He let us take a tour of the entire store to show us the great selection. We like two nightstands but had to think about. We told him we would let him know what we decide. He said it was alright. He was not pushy but helpful and knowledgable . We decided in 10 minutes and bought in that instant. It was going to be about a 30 minute wait til we got our furniture. We drove our car to the back and they were bringing it already. I bought a couch from this location 2 years ago. It was very pricey for the size of the small sectional but I still went with it. After less than a year of sitting on it it began to make my back sink in. In not a good way. Anywho my rating is for the store. The couch would receive a 3 in my opinion for cost and semi wear as far as posture goes. Here's why the store itself is rated a 5. So the sales associates were very patient with helping me find a couch and super helpful. I really appreciated the politeness shown that day. About a week ago (end of August 2016) I get a phone call from this location telling me that they had a refund for me. 2 years later, instead of sweeping it under the rug they called me to let me know. I remember I never called them to get my money back for picking up an item that was supposed to be delivered. So the refunded money was the delivery fee. Ashley Home Furniture in Salt Lake Went in at 3:00 or 4:00pm on 08/24/19. No one greeted us, or even acknowledged us. All the sales people were sitting on the couches on their phones. We noticed a white family come in and right away the sales people were like "hello, can we help you?" Is it because we're not white? We walked around the store passing several sales people,looking at furniture, and still no acknowledgements. from anyone. Only looking up from their phones but not saying anything. The only person in that store that gave us some kind of help was the finance person. She could only help us with financing, not selecting anything from the floor. Don't they receive some kind of commission from the sales? I want to make sure nobody gets the commission from my purchase. Everyone walking around, no "may i help you?" the only thing they said to us was "bye" really? This is the most crappy customer service ever. Not the worst, but definitely not the best place to buy furniture. In the past year, I've purchased two pieces from this location. The selection of furniture here is great - I really like the Redknot selection as they tend to be more unique looking. The quality of the furniture is also great. What drops this store down from a 5-star rating is their customer service (just at this particular location though - the Beretania location's customer service is actually quite good). Both times, after swiping my card at this location, the customer service agent's attitude did a 180: helpful and interested to cold and absent (both times the agent just left me in the middle of the store where their cash register is; this second time, I actually asked the agent a separate question about a product that was advertised online, and she pretty much ignored me). I know the agent's job is to make a sale, but they don't even try to hide that this is their main goal here. Ultimately, I would probably still pop in here again since I do like their selection, but I would probably just browse myself without the aid of their agents as their only use seems to be to swipe your card. read more

I then noticed that they brought out the item in the wrong color! When i said i wanted the specific color or a refund, they sent someone back to stock check again, and turns out they dont have what i want in stock. Stay away from Ashley Furniture. The customer service sucks and they never return your phone calls.

Ashley will sell you a real leather couch or love seat with paper thin leather that will within a very few years peel apart in the seating area. Any company using such poor materials deserves worst rating as a furniture store. When I brought this to their attention basically nothing was done to make up for the damages and to make amends for the damage. To add insult to injury I was notified that not only is there only a one year warranty unless you pay for extended warranty, the fact is no warranties should be needed for a real leather couch that should hold up for more than 3 years. Ashley should also be totally willing to cover any of their products anywhere in the world. A franchise or non franchise store in an outlet or simply any of their retail stores. If a company can't stand behind their product it's not worth buying. read more
