Where there's a home..... ......there is the need to furnish or update said home. This place is as it described: it really is a world of furniture. You'll find mattresses, dining tables, coffee tables, sofas, recliners, etc., all under one roof. Its literally one stop shopping. We found and considered a few pieces for our home. On our 2nd of 3rd visit, we finally settled on a couch and coffee table. We also found some furniture for the bedroom as well. The sales associate that assisted was Russ. She was a very patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable young lady. When we wanted to compare and contrast different coffee tables with a couch, she gladly assisted us with moving the furniture within the store. She said she understands the need for customer to visually furniture together and how well they will complement each other. We appreciated that she was very prompt with a response when we reached out to her via email. NOTES: 1. There are 3 HomeWorld furniture locations: Kapolei, Aiea, and in town. We went to all of them believe or not. 2. You can pay a deposit for the furniture and settle the balance at a later date. 3. Two options for furniture delivery: 1. Furniture delivered to your doorstep. 2. Furniture is delivered and moved into your home and placed/positioned at customer's liking and discretion. We chose option 2. 4. I'd highly recommend taking measurements at your home before commencing furniture shopping (we learned this lesson the hard way, sadly). You'll thank me later. And make sure to bring a pen and notepad too, just in case. 5. Make list of what you need, because you may find something you will want versus need. 6. Altogether, we made 3 separate purchases at this store. There is just 1 order/customer number and we just added the purchases onto the same order. Also, there is no extra charge for delivery if you added purchases to the order. The delivery charge will encompass all of your purchases (which we were glad to know; who wants to pay extra delivery charges?!). 7. The staff will be in touch with you a few days before the delivery date(s) as a reminder. There's an option to track the delivery truck thru a link sent via text message. 8. The furniture could not all be delivered on the same day/date. Russ was kind to secure dates that aligned with our schedules. On the day of delivery, the requirement is that someone 18 years or older must be present to receive the delivery; so the purchaser doesn't necessarily have to be present. BOTTOM LINE: A very positive experience at HomeWorld and working with Russ. read more

Nice selection, one of the few furniture places on island. Customer service not great if you walk in (the other locations way friendlier). Yet, looks like they have a lot of employees in the store? Guess helping customers, or at a minimum, acknowledging people is not the norm here. Definitely doesn't make one want to spend their money. Cliff greeted us as we walked into the store. He asked us what we were looking for and directed us to the location of living room furniture. He offered to help us. We were able to browse to see what Homeworld, Red Knot, and Ashley had to offer. Later Cliff asked if we were doing ok and we said yes. Cliff answered our question without hovering over us. I did purchase a sofa and two chairs. Cliff was very helpful and efficient with ordering, advising me when the furniture would be delivered, and information about additional warranty options. Such a clean and big store. We had a guy helping us, AJ. Very professional, patient, and kind. We went a couple of times to look at couches and he was informative without being pushy. Whenever we need furniture, we always look to HomeWorld Kapolei! The sales associates are always very friendly and I don't feel pressured at all to buy anything. Anyways, this second visit was no different, this time we were helped by the wonderful Dayna in the mattress section! She was super patient with us (and the kids running around) as we tried out all the different types of mattresses, and she explained what the differences are for each one as well. We were there for at least an hour, and ended up coming back the next day to re-try out some mattresses before making a decision. You could literally spend hours looking at everything since their selection is so large. AJ made sure that we were really taken care of and ensured that we didn't go home with something we didn't love. We ended up purchasing a few custom pieces where we could choose what fabric, pillows, and hardware we wanted that would match our home. He also gave us advice on what would be suitable for our growing family. Guess who guess got their first tempur-pedic mattress! Thank you to Gerry in the slumber world department for helping us so much! She made our experience terrific, she was so helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us every step of the way, from viewing the mattresses, to testing them to even purchasing. When we first went in, we were on the lookout for something similar to the memory foam mattress we currently have. Instead we were able to get the tempur-pedic mattress that I had always wanted, but thought would be out of our price range. Lucky for us she showed us that they do financing and made the process so easy and painless. We were able to do the financing process in a few minutes, and once we were approved she shows us what would be in our price range yet was still part of the tempur-pedic we were looking for. I recently took advantage of living room set deal. It has great pieces that work perfectly in our home. We had the delivery scheduled the following week and we were extremely happy with the experience. However, we didn't take out the lamps right away as they were packed in a box. When we finally opened it the glass was broken and my significant other cut herself on them. Needless to say I wasn't to happy and I wanted to give them a piece of my mind and return these shattered lamps. I was already forming my argument in my head as I was driving over. I was thinking since we didn't notice the lamps were broken till a week later they weren't going to let me return them. I thought I was going to have to make a scene or something. NOPE!! When I got there I was greeted by Candace at the service desk. She was amazing. She was extremely helpful and courteous. She listen to me and had no problem with helping me exchange those lamps. We bought all of the furniture here, at the Pearl Ridge store and the new Kapolei location. We bought a complete living room, dining room, television room and two bedrooms. We paced ourselves because we knew that quality was going to be expensive, but being our dream house we knew we wanted a certain look. The master bedroom, dining room, and TV console are all hand made in Indonesia from mango wood. Each piece is exquisite with intricate palm frond carvings. The living room features a rattan sofa and live seat, with cushions covered with tropical heliconias. The end tables and cocktail table are all different but compliment the couches. The guest room has a dark wood look with a modern tropical flair. We bought a wonderful rug for the living room which frames the seating area. Customer service is wonderful. Had issues with the dining room table, but HomeWorld did not disappoint. Occasionally we pick up a random piece on clearance to enhance the beauty of our home. We spent over $25,000 on furniture, but ended up with a home that exudes tropical elegance while inviting and cozy comfortable. The selection of moderately priced items is huge, and those on a strict budget will be surprised with the quality of the less expensive pieces. read more

We came here for the tent sale today 4/2/17 and also because something unfortunate happened, we got a 2inch tear in the stitching of our sectional that we got in November however I contacted CSWO customer service and they had someone to come out to our home to review the tear and assess the issue. I let the Tech know our concerns and couple weeks later I followed up w/ customer service rep Kawena and she handled the situation so well and contacted the store Manager. The manager was so kind enough for us to pick a new sectional, now every situation is different. Being that our sectional is still under warranty and couldn't be fixed they provided us this option. Thank you to the Manager at Kapolei for putting yourself in your customers shoes, thank you thank you! Today, 4/2/17 we also took advantage of their tent sale and Russ our sales rep was there! Located in Kapolei adjacent to Kapolei Lofts & Foodland.1st floor: Home World & Red Knot furniture. 2nd floor: Ashley Furniture. Parking lot is pretty spacious, we've never had any issues. Showroom is huge & well lit (its especially nice at this time of year with the Christmas decor). There is a huge selection of home furniture, almost every thing you need for your home, they've got (living room, bed room, etc). Customer service is great, there's always someone willing to help. We've had the pleasure of working with Sean S. and Jason O. both of whom we highly recommend! Furniture pieces too large to fit in your car? No worries, they offer delivery & install, so you can come, shop, set up a date & viola! The guys that delivered our couches were also very professional. Everyone that greets you while walking in. Usually know how it works when you go into this type of store. Most employees want to work directly with you so there's really no such thing as browsing on your own only because I'm pretty sure it's commission-based. That's the only thing I don't like about these types of sources here constantly being followed and watched LOL but I guess they have to do what they have to do to get a sale. On this particular day I went browsing for a recliner for Christmas. I usually get it from Sam's Club or Costco but currently they're not in stock the pricing at the stores were a little steep but as expected. They offered me coffee and cookies which was a pleasant surprise. I did visit the restroom was which was kept nice and clean. Unfortunately I didn't make up a purchase today mostly because the person I was buying it for was not present and I would like his input before I make a big purchase like this. read more

The real cool thing about this place is that it is close to home. Other than that... it's the typical. You walk in and all the Home Furnishing Consultants swarm you and follow you everywhere you go (literally want to try and quickly hide under the beds when they follow us...I so would've but being preg is not going to be easy). We purchased a lazy boy here because we got rid of the not so comfortable rocking chair that we had..that was super nice looking and modern but not helpful when rocking a baby to sleep/nursing. My parents have a lazy boy at their place and I extremly love it. Lazy boy will be here in about a week and a half. Super excited to act like a "lazy boy" HAHAHAH. read more

If I could give zero stars - I would. We were warned not to shop here by many friends, but we were very impressed with the new Kapolei showroom and found Beau (Bo?), a salesman, to be extremely helpful and accommodating. Our Pottery Barn sofa had been damaged by movers, so we were looking for something similar. He was able to help us a ton in that regard, but that's pretty much where the helpfulness of this transaction stopped. We waited a month for delivery (we understood that, things getting here takes time), but upon delivery (at nearly 8PM at night), the plastic was taken off our sofa and oversized chair, only to reveal huge grease stains on the sofa, punctures in the upholstery and a pungent odor. The third-party delivery service was shocked that this is the type of sofa that would be delivered. They were very gracious and called their manager immediately. We called HomeWorld immediately to explain what was going on and not only did they NOT seem shocked, they said "sorry, there's no more on the island" and could we just use a slipcover. We declined the slipcover option, at which point they offered us the floor model. We declined that too, as we did not pay the price of a brand new sofa to get a floor model. Maybe it's just me, but when you pay $2,000 for brand new furniture, you expect what you pay for - not a slipcover or a used model. (?!?!) They called back 5 minutes later saying they had located a sofa on the island (crazy how that happens...) and could it be delivered the next week. My husband and I agreed to that, but asked about the chair, at which point they said we would have to wait until next year after new pieces can be sent and go through the quarantine process. The delivery of the "new" sofa is still TBD, but I'm wary. I understand now why people warn others to never shop here. I'll take my business elsewhere for any other transactions, even if I have to pay a little more for the sake of my sanity. read more

We moved to Kapolei 9 years ago at a time when there were hardly any options to shop. I am very excited with all of the new stores and restaurants opening up and the idea of not having to travel out of our community and drive in traffic. With that being said, I was ecstatic when the new HomeWorld store opened just 5 minutes away from home. My husband and I walked into the store and was impressed on how big it was and saw many items that we would consider buying since it's time to refurbish our living room area. The problem is that the customer service SUCKS! As soon as you walk in, there is a customer service desk where 2 ladies are sitting. They both just looked as us without a hello or welcome or even as much as a smile! We walked through the entire store, both floors and passed many sales people and NOT ONE asked us if we needed help. One was sitting at a computer and didn't even look up as we passed right by him, one was texting on his phone, another just stared at us like we were going to steal something. They just lost a potential customer because of such poor service. It's a shame but I guess we will have to travel to the Salt Lake location to purchase our living room furniture, we always had great customer service there. read more

Order a couch in May 2021 and still haven't received as on Nov 2021. Original delivery date was August, then it moved to September, then October. When November came no one called me to notify me what was going on. I had to initiate the call. I was told they were waiting for 2 of 4 pieces to come in the next two weeks, when that date came and went I called again and was given different information. Now only 1 of 4 pieces was in. Although it was denied by their employees, I suspect they've been fulfilling other orders before my own but I could be wrong. Needless to say, it been 7 months and I have still not received any of the furniture I order nor will they give me a date. read more

After spending countless hours at various furniture stores looking for the perfect Sectional for our family room, we walked into HomeWorld Kapolei location and we were warmly greeted by AJ. He proceeded to spend the better part of the next two hours, answering our questions, making suggestions and letting us browse on our own. After it was all said and done, we found the perfect Sectional and AJ got us a fair deal. We are planning on returning soon to buy more furniture and we will be sure to work with AJ. 2/10/2017 Update Lesson learned: If you have any issues whatsoever with your furniture delivery at CSWO, don't deal with CSWo's customer service department because they won't help you. Go directly to your sales rep(s) and CSWO's executive headquarters to get things done. After Homeworld's delivery team damaged my home's wooden floors and their claims company denied liability, I literally went through a frustrating 3 months with CSWO's customer service team being bounced back and forth between customer service rep and customer service rep. Nobody ever called me back or emailed me back after leaving multiple messages and emails. Because nobody from CSWo's customer service department ever responded to my emails, I even had to make an expensive overseas call from Argentina to confirm furniture delivery! As a final attempt I finally reached out directly to my sales reps Romy and Gerry and complained about my delivery experience and floor damage caused. They were very frustrated and sympathetic about my experience, and directed me to Mark Kantor, Director of Operations at CSWO's headquarters. Mark Kantor called me right away after hearing what happened, apologized profusely on behalf of the company, and told me that CSWo would pay for the damages even if their Claims company denied liability. After 3 months of headaches and frustrations with CSWo's non-responsive customer service department and claims company, CSWO finally redeemed itself thanks to sales reps Romy and Gerry, and Director of Operations Mark Kantor! I found a contractor to fix the floor damages, and CSWO via Mark's team paid for the service immediately. Although the floor scratches are not 100% fixed, I appreciate the turnaround effort Romy, Gerry, and Mark made to make things right. read more

Home World Furniture Kapolei is very convenient for me and you don't have to worry about parking because they have a small lot you can park in. i'm so glad i bought my sofa & loveseat here. prices are very affordable, and the worker that helped me is very nice. It was a quick and easy transaction. lucky me an opening for delivery opened up that same hour we checked the calendar. I was able to get my furnitures 3 days after I purchased. NO COMMUNICATION! We went to the Kapolei showroom in the beginning of February and placed an order for a sectional and accent chair. We were told next shipment/delivery would be May, we were skeptical because of the timeframe (had guest coming over at the end of May) but decided to take a chance. Come the beginning of May, I emailed my Sales Rep to ask for an update and expected delivery date. His response, "I still see an estimated arrival for May. Let me reach out to the vendor to see if we have a receiving date yet. I will get back to you shortly". Never heard from the Sales Rep until June when I had to follow up AGAIN. The Sales Rep should be keeping constant communication with their customer. I was told now that it was back ordered and the next shipment won't be until late August! What happened to the shipment he said was arriving in May! Now that's an additional 3 months of waiting! Total of 6 months with no furniture. read more

We used Homeworld to furnished our entire home in Kapolei and they did a fantastic job! Russ and Char helped in finding the right furniture and accessories to make our house a "home"! They even came out last minute to help put everything together as we had mainland visitors coming. In the age of mediocre customer service in some retail shops, Homeworld's Russ and Char surpasses the normal service. They exceeded it and we are for sure going to use them again!
