I had a horribly difficult time buying a set of sheets here today. The sales associate Richie was rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional throughout our experience - especially considering that I was only buying a set of sheets that I can walk out with easily (not a big piece of furniture that requires shipping for instance). When I started checking out, I noticed that he was watching a soccer game on the company IPad, and he was consistently giving attitude to me & my dad while we were waiting. We stood for 20 minutes at least while watching him get increasingly frustrated with the fact that something in the system wasn't working, and although multiple other associates walked by to check on him (including the manager), no one helped us until Nicole stepped in to take over (thank you to Nicole - she was the only good part of this). This was an utterly horrible shopping experience and I would highly discourage shopping here if this is the treatment we received for buying something as simple as an overpriced set of sheets. read more

Bought an expensive bed and a wardrobe. While the wardrobe is still nice, the bed was made cheaply and broke off in pieces where the drawers were. Called because I got the warranty and was told oh no it's only for scratches dents. What the heck does that matter when I have a two foot long piece of wood that broke off from the bed? I would think that would be covered under the warranty but no, it was not. Slats under the mattress just made cheaply as well and broke as well. Just not a great experience. read more

Purchased a couch and chair from Ashley. They even matched a competitors price. They did charge for delivery. Problem is my wife and I are physically challenged at the moment but they wouldn't at least move the old furniture out to the garage. We didn't ask them to haul it away just move it. Then the delivery drivers asked for a tip. I find that insulting. We will not be shopping at Ashley again. read more

Bought a king plush mattress from the Mentor Ohio store to replace a mattress that I had previously bought from them years before. My old one was a plush and really comfortable but was breaking down due to age. The bed we chose was checked out in two different stores and it was a Beautyrest Carbon Lux Plush. It was comfortable as my old plush was. When they delivered it, it was a hard brick and caused pain. I was told in the store they could do nothing but call corporate maybe they could help. I was told to wait 30 days give it a chance which I did. Not only was the mattress hard it was inconsistent on it's feel, also the sides sank in certain spots and did not give support. When their first tech did not give them what they wanted they sent out another one which was only checking for body impressions. I kept telling them that was not the problem and I did not have it long enough to do that. Even though I tried to tell them what the real problem was I was told there was nothing they could do. They don't back their products and will blow you off and ignore your concerns and only do what will benefit them. I spent over 2 grand for something I could not sleep on without pain. I wound up having to spend more for a mattress topper which is a medium firm topper. This topper is more comfortable than the hard mattress that I got. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE! I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE! Check out their reviews on not just their mattresses but all other products. I see a lot of dissatisfied customers and many different products! Do not purchase from them without getting a written guarantee. I should of bought on Beautyrest site and then I would of had a 100 trial period that is not guaranteed in the Ashley Store! We wanted to purchase in our home state and help someone get credit for the sale. Wrong move on our part since they do not care about their customers only making money no matter what! read more

Do not buy from Ashley Homestores. I purchased $8,000 of furniture on 02-27-2019. As of 04-13-2019, I have still not received the bed or a replacement for the damaged dresser and two poor-quality chairs. I have called the store and the company's customer service number almost (10) times between April 6th and April 13th to try and get a resolution to these issues. Every time I call they promise to call me back before the end-of-business with a resolution. They never call back. read more

DO NOT buy furniture from Mentor Ashley Furniture. We have been waiting over 20 weeks and have scheduled two separate deliveries ands have still not received our furniture that I paid for in cash when we bought it back in July. At the time we were told paying for it in cash will expedite the delivery which was a lie. We were never updated on delivery of items after we bought so after 18 weeks we contacted Ashley and they had forgotten about out order because the manager we were previously working with had changed stores. We then had a horrible time scheduling delivery on a Saturday for which they never came and we were told a delivery date was never set even though the manager said everything was alright and we scheduled. So we scheduled for the next Saturday. With all this we will still be missing two pieces of furniture that they don't know when they we will be available and delivered, sometime in December. The store has horrible customer service with all moving parts not talking correctly to one another. For all of this hardship all they are giving us is our delivery charge back. Not worth the headache and time spend waiting for furniture that we had already paid for. STAY AWAY. read more

When we went on a quest for some new furniture for our home, we were most successful at Ashley Furniture. Their employees were friendly, and they had a great selection of products. We ended up getting a new couch set here (couch, loveseat, and chair). The quality is very good, and it was nice we were able to pick our choice of color for both the furniture and the pillows that came with. We got a little pub table for our kitchen as well-- the wood quality is excellent and it's built sturdily. They delivered everything and assembled it upon arrival, which was definitely a great bonus. The delivery workers arrived at the very beginning of the expected window and we got a call just before when they were on their way. The only reason I'm taking a star off is that their phone system is very lacking. I missed the delivery confirmation call, and got worried that our delivery would be canceled so I called back. Twice. Both times, I was placed on hold for well over an hour, and was "the next caller" the majority of the time. So if you call, make sure you get a real person! When I finally did, she was great. If you're looking for furniture that's good quality (nicer than Ikea) but is reasonably affordable (cheaper than Ethan Allen), Ashley is definitely worth a visit. read more

Anyone looking to purchase from Ashley Furniture - DON'T. Buyer beware. Most horrific experience I have ever had. Was told 3-4 weeks delivery time on a bedroom set that was ordered on 2/26. STILL waiting on delivery and apparently -per their horrible guest relations department - it is not even expected until 4/30 at the earliest. Unbelievable. Dresser was delivered with chip in it and the store won't take it back. Guest relations advised they don't care as it was delivered. Delivery person told us to contact the store. Store will never call you as promised and will avoid you at all costs. You'll spend countless hours of your life on the phone, on hold, or speaking with some "manager " in guest relations" who will regurgitate scripted materials with a lackluster apology. When you visit in person, Sales Rep, Jimmy Campbell, leaves you at the front desk and the manager promises call backs only to go on vacation and leave you hanging. I don't have time to explain it all. I bought a couch 10 months ago and in that time it has broken five times. It's not always the same thing that is breaking sometimes it's the foot rest sometimes it's the fabric sometimes it's the handle but five times in 10 months is absolutely on acceptable. I've missed an average of seven hours so far which is almost $1000 I've lost just having them come and repair it. Yesterday a piece broke off again and I've talk to corporate I've talk to customer service and I received an email all of the above said they would call me back I have yet to receive a call it's been six hours they were supposed to call me right back. Purchased a clearance bedroom suit at this location for what I thought was a good deal. I was told by the store manager that since it was a discontinued item it would not have to be delivered from their warehouse so delivery would be quicker than usual. I was called a few days after the purchase to schedule a delivery in which I was told the earliest possible delivery would be just over three weeks later. I tried explaining that my furniture did not have to come from the warehouse and that it was a clearance item on the floor at the actual store in mentor. For some reason, the furniture still had to be shipped from their warehouse which means, Ashley Furniture shipped my bedroom suit from their store, past where it was to be delivered, to a warehouse, within the three days before they called me to schedule my delivery. Since I need the furniture quicker than that I told them that I would pick it up myself. I was told that would be fine that I would just need to schedule a pickup time and get my furniture. The day I decided to do that was 3 or 4 days later for the following Saturday. When I called to schedule my pickup I was told that I would have to call the warehouse to schedule it. Upon finally talking to somebody at the warehouse I was told that I would receive a call to schedule a pickup date. When it all finally came to schedule the pick up date the furniture had once again gone from the warehouse, past where it was supposed to be delivered to, to the original location in Mentor. So today, 20 days after my purchase, I receive a call stating, " your furniture is ready to be picked up but while we were doing inventory we saw that your foot board was left at the warehouse." so now I am still without my furniture, also unable to pick up my furniture, three weeks later. The soonest I would be able to get my complete set of furniture is in another week. I have never seen such an ignorant thing happen. I hope my furniture it's still in decent condition with all of this unnecessary moving around. Its hard to find salesman that are straightforward and honest and you probably won't start here. My experience is probably unique but I am absolutely disgusted with what has happened. Not a good deal after all. read more

They gave me a worthless AshleyHome Store cash card supposedly worth $400.00 to use on my next purchase. It cant be used on discounted items, or online to buy something. After four days of visiting furniture stores I heard about Ashley Home Store at Golden gate. This was the first time I ever went into an Ashley home store. I was approached by a consultant Chuck Manocchio. This gentleman/salesman was very helpful. Chuck answered all my questions, offered suggestions without appearing to be the "pushy" salesman trying to make a sale. I was very impressed. After all was said and done I was very satisfied. My daughter is moving into a new home this month needing furniture...We will be seeing Chuck again. I feel he is an asset to the company read more

First of all they were very kind when I first got there on April 9 .I tried out the beds and picked out what I wanted .as far as the delivery process they gave me an exact date and timeframe for my delivery before I left the store. I was excited for my new beds , I ordered 1Full size bed ,1 twin bed ,1 full size box spring ,and 1 full size bed frame. So my delivery date was April 17 , they called 2 days before my delivery and confirmed it would be coming on the 17th and everything I ordered would come and they confirmed my address and gave me a time. So the next day (the day before my delivery date) they called and delayed my delivery to April 27 I was infuriated!!! How do you you confirm my delivery and tell me everything is good to go but then the day before my delivery you change my date and tell me some of my items are back ordered? That makes no sense, did they give my mattress to somebody else and then make me wait? I will never know the truth! So the delivery day comes they night before they call to confirm everything , I'm excited once again and then boom they deliver everything except my full size mattress! I was beyond mad I spent the whole day calling I was on hold for hours waiting for somebody to answer , I call the store and warehouse, they tried to make me wait a week for 1 mattress saying that the delivery men must've forgot it then I spoke to somebody different and they said it was backorderd . Basically nobody I spoke to had the same story each time they looked at my file! They were rude I was hung up on and my calls were declined! This was a complete negligence for a simple mattress order! I finally talked to somebody this morning and they said it was back ordered and my new delivery date is April 30th I am so unhappy with their services I will never be buying anything from them again! Now I have to wait a whole 5 days with a twin mattress and a full size box spring and a full size bed frame in my living room because of their stupidity! Six months ago, July 2013, we purchased a "leather" rocker recliner for my husband from Ashley Furniture. They talked us into purchasing a $60.00 extra warranty. Last month we noticed the leather material at the head area was flaking off. I called the warranty people, Warrantech - An AmTrust Financial Company, and they asked us to send them pictures which we did immediately. I never heard back from Warrantech so I called them and they said it was not covered (forget the part where they never notified us). They told me it was a "Durablend" fabric and not real leather and that fabric was not covered. I called Ashley and asked for our salesman and of course, he no longer works there. I asked for customer service and told them our story and they said it was not covered under the manufacturer's warranty either. I looked at my sales receipt and nowhere on that receipt does it say durablend. We were in the market for new living room furniture but we will never purchase furniture from Ashley since they do not stand behind the furniture they make and sell. DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS HERE!!! We purchased a Sterns and Foster mattress last year spent $1700 and was told it was the "Cadillac" of mattresses! Has been the worse mattress ever! Had a tech out 3 times now and nothing still done for mattress dipping. Was told by Cory the manager at the local store that he really wanted to help and that even if Sterns and Foster wouldn't stand by their product Ashley would because they have had so many issues with this particular mattress that they have actually discontinued selling Sterns and Foster due to lack of quality. So once again we wasted our time having another tech come out only for Ashley furniture to tell us that they will do absolutely nothing for the crap they sold us and that the manager Cory have us incorrect information. Contacted the store again to let Cory know only for him to say "Thanks for keeping me posted" and "The squeaky wheel gets the grease". So thank you Ashley for putting us out $1700 and Ashley and Cory for wasting our time once again and NOT standing by the product you sell! read more

Run! Run fast! Run away from this store with your wallet. Save your time and money. The most disorganized company that exists in AMERICA. Ordered 2 sets of mattresses (a simple order so I thought). The customer service stopped with the sales lady! After that it has been a disaster. After waiting 1 week, a phone call stating another 1 week delay (On the day of delivery)! Delivery day came, only one set arrives with no explanation ahead of time, but the delivery crew said they "forgot" to load the other bed the night before ....what? After several calls and the service center employee stating he will "investigate" and call me back (which never happened) another excuse/lie about how "the company is manufacturing the mattress", and it is on back order and it will be delivered April 30. Funny the sales lady said both sets were "in stock" and there would be "no problem" when we purchased them. The wait on the phone with the "Number One Furniture Store in America" for service is substandard, unprofessional, spewing out a plethora of excuses, empty apologies, and brazen lies, not to mention a F-O-R-E-V-E-R wait on hold. No hauling away old mattresses at this company, and no offer to set up your beds! The old saying goes "You get what you pay for. " I paid a LOT of $$ and must admit this is a sham of a business, and I was taken for a ride! RIP OFF hucksters. Management and delivery was a nightmare. They promised delivery in 4 weeks when i moved into my new home from out of state. I needed a bed that nught. I had to call them to find out they screwed up my phone number and couldn't deliver for another 4 week . I argued with them and they claimed certain clauses in the contract prevented them from delivering any of order until all was ready. When i went to cancel my order suddenly they could have it all here in 3 days. On the day of delivery the delivery time was screwed up and i had to make 2 special trips back home to meet them and they actually had my 3 items set up to be delivered at 3 different times during the day! To compensate for my troubles they tried to give me in store credit. I told them who in their right mind would ever go back to your store again??? I finally got a small refund check from them. I will Never go back ! store salesperson was very nice and helpful. Product is good. Delivery people were awesome. read more
