I ordered in July and I ordered four items( one recliner chair, two sofa pieces and one coffee table) it was supposed to be delivered 8/10 ish and two items are damaged so need to reschedule. However the next time available is 9-11. Fine gotta to wait. And then when the time comes, I took half day off waiting at home, the delivery window is 2-6pm. However I get no notification whether it will be delivered or not after 6pm. I am trying to contact the customer service constantly and Was told you gotta call back after your window period , which is after 6pm. Which they are off! However I get a call from them 10pm same day asking if still want deliveey. In the end , I get delivery and everything put together at 11pm!!!!! Trying to contact customer service no one try to help. Upon entering, there was a sales associate who saw us and did not utter a word but then another set of customers come in and, behold, he speaks! A miracle! My husband had to SAY something in order to get some type of attention from another sales associate. Home furnishings. This place is interesting, but totally not my style. I would classify this as a cross between "Early Guido" and "conquistador" styles... A lot of leather and big nails on big wood on even bigger size couches - the stuff here would go good in a castle, if you had one. At the other extreme, the cast of Goodfellas might be comfortable with some of the offerings here - a lot of formica and glass combos - Although not my style, it might be yours. Sales people were completely uninterested - except for the one lady who was shadowing us through the whole store- as if I might shoplift a zebra patterned lamp - indeed! Big parking area out front. Dont believe when the salesperson tells you to call them using their business cards if theres problem with the delivery. We had a problem with a defective product during the delivery and we didn't get a return call, text or email response when we tried to reach the salesperson for further assistance. I am going through a divorce and needed a lot of new furniture, my worst mistake was shopping here. There was issues after issue but, I liked the sale associate and believed in his words. Big mistake, because the stores polices only help the company, it did not matter how much money I spent there. There were issues with items I ordered, some were discontinued, some items wouldn't in stock for a while, some they didn't want to deliver because I had too many deliveries , and a majority were damaged and needed to be reordered. At one point I had gone into purchase a mattress and explained what I wanted and was told "Don't buy that one you wouldn't like it, no one does" He insisted I would love the Tempur-pedic. I stated I need a firm mattress and he said " The firm will be too firm and take years to break in" H eusggested the medium grade mattress. Not too soft not too hard, so laid on the mattress and it fell good. Cut to a few days sleeping on it and I woke up sore, I figured I had been doing too much and I am in my early 50tis now. From what I knew I was stuck with this mattress, that was it. As the days went on the mattress was too soft and I would sink into it. I woke up with neck pain, hip pain, shoulders and hands hurt. I had no idea a mattress could cause these issues, but it was like sleeping in a hole. I purchased a firm mattress topper to try out, and that didn't help. That also sunk in. I am not heavy at all and I am physically fit, and sleep alone. I had been told if I accepted any furniture, they wouldn't take it back., no acceptions. In December I called because my stools were breaking. I bought 9 in total, and 5 need to be fixed. I asked the customer service agent while I was on the phone with him, if I could do anything about this mattress and explained what is going on, and he said they would replace it because they have a comfort guarantee and he requested pictures of that mattress to prove I didn't destroy it, so I sent them. For month I slept in my spare room on a twin mattress, so mine was impecable. They responded with sorry we cant help you the comfort guarantee expired. Expired ? I had not idea I had any comfort guarantee because they didn't say I had one and told me once I accept anything that's it. After a dozen calls, Ashely said call Tempur-pedic, so I did and they said Ashely is responsible for the mattress call them and tell them they have to handle it. This gotten me know where. they keep passing the blame onto each other. So I am out $3.200 for a mattress that is equivalent to a bean bag chair but has a 10 year warranty worth nothing. Worst customer service ever! We have had the worst experience ever since we purchased our couches. They are not even 2 years old. The sectional was 5000. The leather has been discolored and faded. It has been changed multiple times. Every piece has broke multiple times for the sectional. They would keep sending repair people and the repair people would mess up and not get the correct parts. We want to throw the couches in the garbage. They are complete junk. Last time the repair guy came he ordered the wrong piece then Ashley's wouldn't follow through with fixing the piece. They said we were out of warranty so now I'm waiting over a month for a salesperson to come and 1st look at the couch! When Ashley's knew the pieces we needed. The they have to order the couch. I went to the Ashley Homestore on Long Island, NY. I asked for and was shown a recliner. I sat in it and it was comfortable and Didn't think about my feet hanging off the end. or the arms being too high to make my shoulders and neck hurt. (I have Slipped disk in neck and back.) I was told by the salesman when they deliver to make sure it's ok then sign the form. Well, I got the delivery the next day they came in and set up the recliner and keep pressuring me to sign the form so the can leave. I said one sec I opened the recliner to make sure it opened and close and there were no rips. then they started in again sir here's the form to sign. OK, I didn't want to hear it anymore and signed the form gave them a $20 tip and off they went faster than a speeding bullet out the door. I sat in the recliner for about an hour it was comfortable until my feet fell asleep because my feet hang off and my rotator cuffs and neck was like a knife was stabbed into my neck and arms. The next day when they opened I called customer service and asked to return for an exchange due to this problem. The lady on the phone asked where I purchased it I said in the long Island, NY Store. She said Sir you can't return it if you bought it in the store. I said WHAT!!! what if I bought it online. Yes, then you can return it. But I don't want to return I want to exchange for another one. Sorry, Sir you can't I will be willing to take some off the price sorry sir you can't return or exchange. The salesman never told me "no returns". just "check it out and sign" that's it. I will never Shop with them again and I'm so sorry I didn't read the reviews of these Crooks. Now I'm trying to sell this Brand New Recliner on Craigslist for 1/2 of what I paid for it and take a loss. One of the worst experiences I've had. The salesmen and everyone in store are great, but after we ordered it has been a nightmare. First off we chose ashley furniture because we didn't want this headache. We spent near $10,000 and on a pair of couches, a sectional for the basement and 2 mattresses with bed frames. Fast forward 2 weeks and the couches, along with one mattress is being delivered. The other mattress ended up being on back order which we were informed a few days before the delivery date. The 2 couches in the living room were easily delivered along with the full size mattress, then the sectional (which I measured the hallway several times before ordering and knew it would fit) comes and they get everything but the corner piece into the room. They were trying to fit it through with the curve against the wall, damaging the sheetrock several times, all they had to do was turn it around. They tell me it needs to be taken apart and I talk to their supervisor about them bringing it back to the warehouse and having their team remove the back of it so it would fit. Fine, $180 charge, agreed they left. I go into the back yard and see the piece sitting out there with it going to rain that night. I call my brother he drives an hour and took us about 3 minutes to get it into the room that it didn't fit. A few days later the bedfranes arrive in boxes that looked like they were having a throwing competition with. What do you know, both bedframes are damaged and the one is missing a leg. A week later the final mattress arrives, great. They come rolled up vacuum sealed so I have them leave it in the living room while my new bedframe from RAYMOUR AND FLANIGAN is being setup. A few hours later we move the mattress up and open it, SURPRISE, it's the cheapest $800 mattress that they sell. We spent over $2000 on the mattress we ordered, now we have the replacement mattress being shipped after waiting another 3 weeks. I called to ask about the cheap mattress that is here and told them that I wanted a supervisor here when they remove it because now the house it fully furnished and they will be bringing it past 2 TVs, and the lady at the warehouse got an attitude with me about how their movers are professional, and it won't be a problem. In the next sentence she asked me if I had rope to tie the mattress in half for them. I'm sure this will go great tomorrow. However, once we were out the door and they had our money, all that "customer service" they "pride" themselves on was out the window. What an awful experience at THIS Ashley store. I've made (2) other large purchases through the Ashley location in Lake Grove, and had no issues. Unfortunately this time, the folks at this location along with the New Jersey distribution office (which arranges deliveries, etc.) are atrocious. Ashley Furniture has lost a good customer in an ideal demographic (young, working professional couple that will be buying a home within 2 years and will need a LOT more furniture in the near future), all because they refuse to honor their commitments (delivery times, etc.) and would rather try and bleed the customer of whatever money they can instead of working with the customer to accommodate delivery requests (which were made well-within the given time frames per the contract that we signed while purchasing). read more

Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful but without being too chatty or intrusive. Delivery/install service is a sub par and is contracted out to a third party company who's workers couldn't stack Jenga blocks let alone build furniture. After the market my boyfriend and I decided to stop by Ashley's Furniture to check out a desk I had been eyeing online. We had stopped into this location At-least 3-4 times in the last year to couch shop. There was one in particular I was in love with But it was too expensive, and the timing wasn't right. We scoped the showroom, and what I mean by scope I mean we sped walked through that shit to find what we were looking for before we got pushed into buying something else from the sales team. Nope- no desk. They didn't have the one I was looking at, but what we did notice was my couch . We sat down, got cozy and actually waited for a salesman to approach us. After some back and forth we decided to finally buy the couch! Cassie was our salesman, super sweet and patient. So no desk BUT new couch! Can't wait to get it Friday. I went to Ashley's Home Furniture in Carles Place, New York. I bought a living room set with a queens size sofa bed. After making the purchase, the sales person told me I should buy a mattress cover for the sofa bed and I did. When I got home I went on Ashley's Furniture website and saw that the mattress protector was selling for $80 less. I called the store and they told me online and in store items are priced differently and there's nothing they can do. The store manager said no even after I told her I just purchased $4000 worth of furniture and that they should at least honor the online price. I wrote to Ashley's ecustomer care and I never got a response. I called customer services a month later and explained the situation. The representative sent me to the "Financial Dept." because they are the ones who handle account adjustments. Needless to say, the number she sent me was a scam service who poses as the Financial dept. They asked me for the credit card number and will credit the $80 to my credit card. The person on the phone then told me I have listen to 2 messages and I have to answer "Yes" or "No". Upon listening to the message he said I must say "Yes" clearly. I suspect there is something wrong and I asked him why am I listening to messages that are selling magazines and other items unrelated to furniture. He ignored my comment and keep telling me to answer "yes" or "no". I hung up the phone and called my credit card company to deactivate my card. I called Ashley's Furniture customer services again to make them aware what just happened. She did not let me explain the situation instead she assumed I was calling because I found a cheaper price on the furniture set I bought after delivery. I explained to her it's not the furniture it's the mattress protector and I also said the previous representative had referred me to the "Financial Dept". I guess that set her off because she was yelling "We do not have a Financial Dept here" and she forwarded me to Synchrony credit card. Ashley furniture, carle place have cheated us.We paid in full for sofa bed, 2 accent tables, 2 cushions, 2 chairs, delivery stated for 18th june. When the delivery came, only sofa bed & bed were delivered.the bed panel was broken & others bent.It took hours to contact the store manager who told us they were not in stock & the sales person Mike didnt work for the company anymore.We had a housewarming party with guests & were left stranded.It has been 24hrs, no refund or solution so far.We will take legal action. How can you charge for goods if you dont have them in stock.The invoice also clearly mentions a full refund if goods are not delivered on the date. They never informed us of incomplete delivery.The manager keeps calling to say he is trying but its clearly not working.We have no choice but to take legal action.We are cheated.The broken bed has to either be replaced or returned but Ashley are not answering. The sales are eager to help, but also really pushy! Use all kinds of sales tactics. Just wont let you walk out easily. It is a few thousand dollars of purchase, some customers might need a bit more time to think it over. They also make canceling an order hard. I called Ashley customer service number, and they told me you have to cancel an order with the store. When I called the store, they said you have to come to the store to cancel. Sales number, date, my personal information are not enough, you have to come in. BTW, before placing an order, check Ashley website. My experience in the actual store with the salesperson was very good. So good I was thinking about going back to buy to re do my entire living room. But then I got the delivery team from H--- and I want NOTHING to do with this company every again. I have two small children and my mother has lung issues. The delivery guys show up with no masks. I offered them masks, they made comments under their breath and tried not to wear them. I paid EXTRA for them not only to deliver into the bedroom but also to put the furniture together, and as it was a solid wood dresser they didn't really have much to do. Yet, when my wife told them they were putting it in the wrong place and she wanted it moved the guy said to my wife "I don't have all day lady". You have ALL DAY since we paid you to put it in the correct space! Finally, they had taken the dresser out of the box on my front lawn. I figured, well, they will clean up when they are done. NO! They left the trash on my front lawn so I spent the rest of my morning picking up not only the box pieces but tons of broken Styrofoam packing. If this is the delivery service you are going to charge me almost $200 for, I won't go back. I wonder how much business you have lost due to these two guys? read more

They scratched my brand new floor in the bedroom, marked my wall, stole my moving blanket & 2 handles on my dresser are completely sideways. I called Ashley's three times and each time they gave me an email address to contact customer service, I sent two emails and they have not yet called me. It's absolutely ridiculous that I can't even talk to someone about my issues. They need better customer service and better employees to deliver and set up the furniture. I received a mattress that was defective and they are taking over a month and a half to replace the mattress. On top of it, they will only replace it with the same exact mattress with no refund. I have developed back pains and shoulders pains that I have never had in my life and I am a healthy 26 year old girl. Honestly shopping here and spending so much money on my mattress was the biggest mistake of my life. I recently moved into a larger home in Long Island after many years in Queens and needed a complete new set of furniture. The only thing taken from our old home was a single bed, so i was in need of a new wardrobe. I came into Ashleys HomeStore with the intentions of buying two mattresses (with powers bases) that I had previously seen on the website and possibly two dressers. I ended up completely furnishing my entire new house, with better mattress - power base combos because of the assistance I received from Ed, the sales rep. I purchased: my main living room set (sectional with giant swivel chair combo,) Dining room set (4 chairs and couch-bench with solid wood table,) a sectional with lazy boy for our entertainment room, and two complete bedroom sets (one king, one queen) along with add-ons (extra nightstands and chest.) The salesman that made this all happen was a gentlemen named Ed. He stayed until Midnight, when his shift was over at 9pm to make sure that i got all the assistance i needed. He didn't pressure me into buying anything, and understood the importance of the process. He was able to continuously price-match numerous items that i had already purchased and paid for. Post-facto he happily price matched a lot of the furniture. He thoroughly did his due diligence on all the furniture that i was interested in and suggested possible upgrades for the same price. I was very pleased with his responsiveness throughout the entire process. He provided me his cell number and kept in contact with any type of questions or issues i had. There had been a small issue with one of the items of furniture, the dining table. It was slightly damaged, but the delivery man, along with my sales rep, Ed, took care of the issue seamlessly! Another employee i'd like to mention is Gustavo, who helped extend the furniture financing from 6 months to 24 months AND also helped bring a coffee table at 12:30am to my house because it wouldn't fit in my car. He really went above and beyond in customer service to help make sure i was satisfied. I'd also like to mention the young lady that evening, Bryanna, who scheduled the delivery. I was very impressed with her professionalism, and I wanted to mention her in this review. One more rep I'd like to mention is Jose. He is the rep that processed the price match post-facto. He was friendly, and very knowledgeable on the process (which I very much appreciated!) He was straight forward and let me know that I would lose the 24 months free finance by price matching this many items. I ended back with 6 months free finance, but with a huge price cut. I appreciated that Jose disclosed all information up front. The delivery men that delivered my furniture, and the other delivery men that came back a week later to replace the damaged dining room table, were excellent! They were all very courteous. Not knowing that this man was going to take a dump in my bathroom. Not only did he explode in my bathroom but when i went in to see what he did in there ... there was literally crap all over my seat and inside the toilet bowl. I'm DISGUSTED!!!!!! Never ever again Ashley's. The people in the store are very nice but Ashely's customer service is horrific and now to have had the delivery guy's crap all over my bathroom ... I submitted a person day at work to receive the delivery. Guess what - no delivery, no call. I texted the sales rep numerous times and he never responded. I was hoping I would have a different experience here than what everyone else had mentioned but sad to say it's exactly the same. You go in and they approach you with the usual used car salesman tactics. They do offer good prices for furniture so we decided to proceed. We were told at the store the delivery would take 4 to 6 weeks from the date of purchase, and here we are three months later with no furniture. Customer service is accessible, but not helpful. If you read the Google reviews, they force you to complete it once you've purchased. Basically they will tell you anything in the store to make the sale and the extended warranty. After the fact, you will never be able to reach anyone from the store unless you go in and cause a scene. While we were purchasing, we saw about three upset customers causing issues, that should've been a red flag. However, we were reassured by Richard and the store manager Hector that we would not be having the same experience. My already low expectations are even lower now. I know once we get the furniture, there will be damage or shotty craftsmanship but maybe in a year, after paying a mortgage on a home that we cannot even live in, I may have some decent furniture from Raymour and Flanigan. read more

Needed furniture for a new house we built for the living room we purchased two recliners in July. The delivery date was September 28, 2020 when the date came the recliners did not arrive. We were told November the recliners would be delivered November came no recliners. Then we were told December again no recliners. We were then told January you guesses it no recliners. The we were told Febraury 16th a specific date but again no recliners. Today I spoke to the manager he said the computer has the first week of April for when the recliners could be delivered. Don't believe them all along no communication form the salesman or management only when we went into store and complained did they communicate with us. We purchased a sofa, TV stand and carpet on 7/21. It is not 9/18 and we still have not received the complete set. We set up the first delivery date and they call the morning of delivery saying that part of the furniture was damaged and they can't deliver. I took a day off of work to receive this delivery and now I was only going to get part of it. The second delivery is scheduled, I take a day off work, and they call the day before to say, the same part is damaged, they can't deliver. They call to set up a third delivery date, I ask that the parts be inspected before I set a delivery date, they say it is fine, so I take a 3rd day off work and they deliver only part of the TV unit. It is missing some shelving. I call to complain and they say, "oh you should have rejected delivery, we will get the part to you as soon as we can." It is not 2 months later and we are still waiting on this part. Sad. They refuse to offer compensation for my time lost at work. I called the store and they comped me the delivery (twice), but this is ridiculous. If they can't deliver the full items in two deliveries and then say I should have rejected the delivery after everything is set up (since the missing part was not discovered until after everything was set up and they were asking me to sign the paperwork), what do I do? Take another unpaid day off work to wait on another delivery that could be cancelled at the last minute? My in store experience was great. The delivery service sucks and I will not purchase anything from Ashley again given this experience. Our salesman Richard Oldaker gave us the whole spiel and we ended up buying a whole bedroom set and TV stand on 2/13/21 for April 1 delivery. Bed came missing fasteners and slats which delivery guys didn't even mention before leaving. We only realized once we tried to put our mattress on top. TV stand came with legit holes in it and cracks. Called customer service who said they would resend missing and damaged items and send technician to install. Items came still missing fasteners. Called customer service again who said technician would have fasteners and not to worry. Technician came had no idea what we were talking about and had no fasteners. Said he had some random nails in his car and just started drilling holes into the bed frame which is ridiculous. Customer service refused to acknowledge any blame for this service guy drilling holes into a brand new bed frame. Ashley Furniture is one of the worst furniture companies I've ever worked with.
