A few years back I had great service and delivery. Purchased more furniture in September 2021 and still do not have my furniture. New delivery is 5/9/2022. An award needs to go to Ashley Furniture for being one of the most sketchiest furniture establishments. Do not do business with this them. Save your money and do business else where because the headache these people will give you is not worth the stress. You'll never get a complete answer, everything is a run around and the sales people have no idea what they're doing. I was told one thing, but told something else by the delivery drivers. I bought furniture and received the wrong items. I had purchased a blue and white rug but received this rug that I didn't order nor wanted. I mentioned it to the delivery guy and he said "no it's blue you just have to turn it over, I see the blue" really? One of us is color blind and it's not me. And if you're color blind you truly shouldn't be working in the furniture business. I received my green velvet chair with a crusty, hard, circular stain on it. I don't know what it is nor do I care what it is all I know is that for $500 I should've received an item that was new, stainless. I had ordered a 5 stacked chest that was initially delivered broken and had to get taken back. Headache. I needed a new mattress and was looking to purchase one since mine was broken. Ashley had agreed to pick up the mattress on the date they delivered my furniture. Well, come delivery date my mattress was never picked up. I asked why and their excuse was "it's not wrapped. We can't take it" I was never informed to wrapped the mattress (now this is digging deeper into my pockets spending more money than I feel like I need to at this point) funny thing is, come the second delivery date (for the chest & the chest only) the delivery guys told me, the FIRST guys who made the delivery should've taken the bed , and that they could've used the plastic wrap on my new mattress I received, for my old mattress. Moronically asinine. I went into the store and talked to one of the "managers" there and she had informed me that the carpet was out of stock, so I guess they sent me a random one thinking I would want it. Lol, wtf? She then proceeded to tell me that the reason why the guys couldn't take the mattress was for "sanitary" reasons and it had to be wrapped in order for them to take it. Well... come the second delivery date I was told AGAIN, they could not take the mattress because they were only scheduled to drop off the chest. I am now needing to spend $115 to have a junk company remove the mattress because I'm sick and tired of the headache Ashley Furniture has given me. Here is what happened, my mother and I had gone in search for a sofa bed, we found one the last one that fit into our budget, we bought it right then and there, the sales associate was nice. The padding on the leg rest and area where you sit on moves. Bunches up. I called for service. When the tech came out he claimed that is normal and just fluffed up the padding. I didn't purchase anything because I was stuck with a rude saleswoman. This is not a reflection on the other salespeople either since I did have pleasant interactions. This is specifically about one person. Christine was the greeter when I walked in and I told her I was here to look at couches. I wasnt sure if she was in sales or just a greeter bc she was wearing leggings as pants with a patterned bedazzled top and shoes that didnt match while everyone else looked more put together. My first clue should have been when I heard her catch a snippy tone with one of her coworkers. She then showed me one couch that I liked but the color was too dark for my room and she said they had it on the floor in another color.. so it came in more than one.. it will be important to the story. Then she showed me another couch that I liked the look of better but the fabric was a bit too scratchy for me so I asked if it came in another fabric (you know, since the last one did) and she said no and then tried to convince me that I was being too picky about not wanting scratchy fabric and tried to gaslight me that it was actually super soft. Then we were looking at kitchen tables and she showed me a format that I liked but again was too dark and I asked if it came in another stain and she snapped at me saying "No, we don't DO that here, we're not a 'custom' shop like that, we ONLY keep what you see and that's it" and that was after only really browsing with me for about 15-20min and I had maybe asked her that twice since the first product she showed me DID come in another color and fabric. She was also on her phone scrolling or texting someone the whole time and just seemed very impatient with me the whole time I was browsing. After she snapped, I tried to ghost her by visiting the restroom and then I started talking to a much friendlier sales man when I got out and she immediately swooped in and got all territorial with him. I understand you probably work on commission but maybe you should have thought about that before you were rude, dismissive, and gaslighting a customer. I just walked out because I couldn't stand interacting with her anymore because she just loosely followed me around the store after that, still on her phone. And not in a "I'm here and I want to be helpful".. no, her energy was very much "you are mine and I am getting the commission on anything you buy". One of the worst experiences buying furniture. High pressure sales tactics and buying the extended warranty was a waste of time. One of our barstools fell over and the cushion detached from the frame due to our cat jumping on the barstool. This wasn't covered by the warranty they said as it was reported too late but I have been trying to get them to repair it for months but have gone through a rigamarole of calling various depts, the store, the warranty company all designed not to help the customer. After visiting other stores my husband and I ended up at Ashley for a medium tier sectional. Ultimately, we ended up buying a living room set with a sofa and loveseat because it was more affordable, the color we wanted, and still comfortable (and less than a sectional alone). We were helped by Christine in store, who was very kind and patient with us and ended up leaving really excited about our first big purchase as a married couple. But that's about where the good ends. We have a scheduled a delivery for tomorrow, 9/12, and were guaranteed the date before giving the company our money but not a time, that's fine - we were told we'd get a call with timing a couple days before. My husband's information was on the order and he did not receive an email or call from the store/company, so I decided to call today to get timing. I made sure to have no plans for the delivery day and have been getting my living room ready for the new furniture- including tearing into and cutting up the current 10 y/o couch to make sure there's nothing important that has fallen inside of it. I guess it's my bad not having confirmed it or looking at the reviews before now, but if I'm guaranteed a date I would assume that that's when something will arrive. To my surprise after waiting for a rep on the phone for nearly 50min, I was informed by the (very sweet) lady from CS that the whole delivery has been delayed to 9/22, that is IF the lamp and rug that are not in stock show up on time, which after reading the reviews I'm doubting that's the case. No call, no email to inform us of the delivery being delayed. I requested a partial delivery with customer service, so I'm hoping it is approved and the couch and loveseat are delivered soon, since that's all we really need and everything else is just extra. Purchased a Dining table and chairs, a sectional with added additions and mattresses. One of the stools had a stripped hole in the leg from an over tightened screw. One of the seems in the wedge of my sectional is separating. The mechanical on one of the recliners has been making noise since I purchased it. I purchased a protection plan under the assumption everything would be covered. That was a lie. They won't replace the damaged bar stool. After utilizing their "warranty" I'm.sad to say I'll never be back. We purchased a very pricey couch and loveseat after one year the cushion started to become deformed we were very thankful we purchased the warranty however submitting a claim and getting repairs done is an absolute nightmare. We requested a service person to come out and we had to reschedule one time it took multiple phone calls and request to reschedule the company that was calling to confirm our appointment was not able to reschedule our appointments. the service tech arrived and didn't even have padding to replace what we were concerned about. He said he would order new padding and be back within a matter of days. That never happened and we had to call back. We have since called back and have not received the padding to date. it's been 3 months and nobody has fixed our couch the repair tech barely stapled the couch back together advising he would be back shortly and our couch cushions are still dis formed and now the backing is barely stapled together thanks to the tech. We went looking on 3/27/21 for Recliners, we walked in, and was greeted by Angelina, and let me say this, I don't even know where to begin. We had an idea of what we wanted, but Angelina, took it to a different level. We first thought we wanted manual recliner's, but Angelina talked to us about why we shouldn't, and after listening to her, it made perfect sense. She said over time, the mechanisms can go bad, and it would happen after warranty, more than likely,and with all the chairs going over to power, it may be harder and harder to get exactly what you need to get your chair repaired. Then she talked about power recliners and why that would be the best option. I said give me one, she smiled, and said what happens, as you get older, you can lose strength, and some mechanisms can be pretty stiff, an hard to release, and what happens if you have an injury to your shoulder, it can be almost unbearable. I said , fair enough. I said what happens if I lose power and I can't raise or lower my recliner, she replied with a smile, you can purchase a battery back up, that would give you power whenever you need it. So we looked around some more, and I kept going back to the Composer, that is the name of the Recliner. We ended up buying a chair for my dad, who is up in years, which she suggested. About 4 hours later we walked out purchasing 3 Power Recliners, the second best part, is due to a killer sale, we saved over 3k. Now some may say that would be the best part! But you see, after spending 4 hours with her after an 8 hour work day, Angelina's knowledge, expertise, not to mention her sweet and beautiful disposition, was the selling point. Yes I might have spent less elsewhere, but to me, people who are knowledgeable, and honest, far outweigh the price of anything, and to be honest, she spent 4 hours of her time, on helping us decide, how could I not purchase. I bought furniture less than 90 days ago and it's already proving to be absolute garbage. The recliners are all sunken in like someone's been camped out in front of the tv in it since the 70s--in less than 90 days!! We've been so busy, we've barely even sat in them!! Sales people are nice, helpful, knowledgeabl. I'm sure there are some nice things there, but the couches and Ashley brand mattresses are the worst quality I've ever purchased. I absolutely hate my brand new couch. The cushions come out of place when you sit, they cave in around you, and you can hear someone adjust their position even in other rooms it's so loud. Cheap fabric, NOT soft. I guess you can't get furniture of quality anymore, or I went to the wrong place. My other pieces I've gotten from smaller mom n pops were so beautiful and well made, maybe I should have stayed with the smaller stores. You no longer get what you pay for. We bought furniture in late August, finally got delivery in October. The furniture looks great inside the house, but the delivery ordeal was a mess. The deliver service team/schedulers must all be fresh out of high school. They were all nice over the phone, but it was clear that they were all very inexperienced. The delivery people had one excuse after another for why they couldn't come. When they finally came, set up was literally 10 mins, and we found a broken item in the box, was told to call the customer service line to get it replaced. Every time I call, it was at least an hour hold and never got through, so after a few call, I just said forget it. I didn't get a replacement. I'll just take a loss on that one. Too much hassle. Another note, We tried to cancel the order a few times and go elsewhere, but with Ashley, only the store that you bought it from can cancel the transaction, with makes it hard to do. You have to talk to sales, then a manager has to revise it..and it doesn't get canceled as to many hands has to be involved. Hassle. But the furniture looks great, we can feel the quality. The salesmen Alex was super nice. It's just the operations part of the company, they need a complete revamp. Would I shop there again? Maybe, the quality is pretty good for the price. Okay,if you read this and you still shop here it's on you. My wife went in here and everything on the surface seems okay. We were happy when we left the store and believed everything was 100 percent okay. Then my wife checked the prices online. They promised it was the best price they were giving us and when they went online the prices were lower. This is when things unraveled. Delivery was a problem when nobody showed up on delivery fay. Then they showed up on a day they were not scheduled. After numerous calls and then visits to their store they matched the price. We were missing a blanket and nobody could tell us if or when it would arrive. From day one the cushions on the couch began coming loose and unraveling. I went in and they said they would send someone out and check the couch. Long story short nobody showed up. Their theory is if you don't respond and you don't show up enough people will just go away. Our experience at this Ashley store was... wild. The good is that there are TONS of options. It's a big store, and there are lots of good options. We think we ultimately found the couch that we want to purchase and after an incredibly long hunt, this is more than exciting. We also had one salesperson help us who was more than helpful and was moving tables throughout the store so that we could see how they looked with different couches. However, we also had some not as amazing experiences. Frankly, the salespeople are pushy. They want to make a deal, and during the beginning of our trip there when we we really just wanted to look around, they wouldn't leave us alone which was frustrating. When we decided not to buy the couch we like right there and then, we decided to go home and think it over. When we got home, I was looking through the Ashley furniture website to look at the couch again and think about it more. I couldn't remember the exact model name so I was looking for a couch that was the same price. When I couldn't find it, I looked through the photos I had taken and found a model number... when I searched that model number online it was eight. hundred. dollars. cheaper online. Now, to be clear, they are always offering some sort of "deal" in store that would get it down to the online price. That said, the most recent deal was that you had to get 12 month financing in order to get 40% off. We don't actually want to finance our couch but were considering doing it just to get the deal. By buying online we don't have to do that. I'm glad we got to see the couch in person and sit on it and decide we like it, but if we decide to purchase it, we'll definitely be buying online. read more

Update: We still have the wrong couch and no refund. Two weeks ago after more back and forth with the store they attempted to drop off the correct couch. Latest problem there was a huge hole in the side of it. After arguing with the delivery drivers they put the undamaged couch back and I followed up with their corporate hotline. Last Sunday they phoned and said they would be coming Tuesday to pick up the couch- no replacement. We then went to the store and was assured by the manager Jessie they were exchanging the couch for the correct and undamaged one. Tuesday rolls around and as expected, they had no replacement couch. Went back into the store and spoke again with Jessie the manager. Direct quote from him "I cannot and will not give you a refund on the couch. Great place to chill on the furniture, the sales people will leave you alone and usually go the other way when you walk over to them. Nice ambiance. They are extremely busy around the service desk, so you know it's a busy place. Very good display of current fashion in furniture. When you have rested completely just get up and walk out the door and go purchase your furniture needs els where, because Ashleys' clearly is not for sale.
