If you want it have them put it together that's an extra fee. All prefab . By the time you tack on all the extra fees you might as well go to a higher end place So Ashley furniture just wrote me . Their response was they have 20% in stock and south county is only 10 miles away. I don't think it matters if they are 10 miles (which it's NOT) or 1 mile away. Who wants to play follow the leader. When a store advertises a sale and they do not have said items. It kinda gets you a bit miffed. I will go to another store just because I feel mislead. Do not shop here!!!! My husband and I bought a king bedroom set for $3600. We were promised the furniture in one delivery on July 11. It's now august 2 and we do not have the complete bed set. They have made 3 different deliveries with pieces of the set. They did not call to warn us that some of the items were on back order. We both work, so my elderly mom was driving 30 minutes to be here 3 times. We got the complete runaround every time we called the store. They do not care and this seems to be a common practice for them. Do not shop here, you will be sorry. read more

Then once they are finished doing whatever they are doing (have no idea), then I will make comments as it continues: - Paid in cash in Sep 2019 (it's 19 Dec) a queen bed set with a queen spring mattress, king bedset, bar table with 3 chairs with a delivery date of December 17, 2019. - Veteran Day weekend, paid in cash, sofa sleeper, dining table with 6 chairs. Did it because they had a veteran sale that they were pushing everything we visited since Sept 019 (I'm a veteran of foreign wars). Delivery date of December 17, 2019. - December 13, 2019, told it will be a delay until either 23 Dec 2019, everyday after that the dates moved to 26 Dec, then 31 Dec, then 2 Jan and as of today, 3 Jan. - December 17, 2019, received a portion of our items and sent the wrong mattress (which they refused to take back and give the one I bought, claiming they are making tickets smh). - 19 December 2019, I'm still waiting on the answer about the mattress and not sure if I will ever get the items I paid in cash back in September 2019 and November 2019. I feel as if they are taking advantage of me because I'm a nice veteran and committing some type of immoral or criminal situation. I don't believe any one should be treated this way and wonder the state of businesses that treat someone who fought in war in this manner. - I will continue in future posts as this thing continues. - By the way, I spoke numerous times with cooperate office and several times with the store managers. wish I were able to give 0 stars and be able to leave a comment. If service is the key for you as a buyer then beware at Ashley. We had well over about $6000 worth of furniture we were going to purchase and like most people I am sure asked about a discount or military discount or free delivery or discount on the warranty insurance. When we asked, the very rude manager basically shot us down and afterwards pretty much avoided us the entire rest of the time. Afterwards, we were talking to the sales rep about financing and we were interested in financing a year as we were making some big purchases. Then, we were told that if we finance longer than 6 months that we have to pay for their overpriced warranty insurance, which makes no sense at all. We decided that we would drop about 3000 of furniture and look elsewhere and just keep the 3 items that we couldn't find anywhere else that we wanted only because we already had matching items owned. The sales rep put it all on paper then told us delivery day is the following Friday. No more than 10 seconds later walking to the counter, the behind the desk lady tells us that deliver is the Tuesday after that Friday. We turn to the sales rep and asked what happened because we had an earlier date to which we were told that the system must have changed in the 10 sec walk and we here the manager from before snarly state, that's just the way it is. So basically, we were not treated very friendly, and after asking for a discount on the bulk, discount on the overpriced warranty, or even just free shipping, we seemed to have been marked after and had to listen about how the managers predecessors all lost their jobs for giving discounts or free delivery. Basically, the customer service is horrible at this store and really with Ashley in general it seems because we had some shotty service from the south county location also. We decided that the rest of anything that we need will go to local owned Carol House, who gave us a discount based on our bulk, didn't force us to buy their insurance when financing, sold their insurance warranty at a flat rate for our order at a much lower cost, and does free delivery. The service we received from the rep at Carol House was excellent and Ashley was the exact opposite. I will likely never return to Ashley and just stay local owned because it seems they know how to treat customers. Our items came for delivery today, out of the 6 items that we ordered, 1 is backordered to who knows when, 3 are damaged and we will not accept, and only 2 can be deemed delivered. Ordered in July and I'm still waiting. Took my mattress 5 weeks to arrive after a promise of 1 week delivery. It was scheduled 3 times for delivery and cancelled by Ashely 2 times before it arrived at the beginning of September. Now i've been waiting 10 weeks to get the rest of my bedroom suite. Its been scheduled twice and cancelled twice "because we don't have it". Now i'm promised friday...but to be fair I told Ashley to deliver it by Friday or i'm getting a full refund and taking my money someplace else. I've gone to the store 5 or six times now and the manager keeps promising to call me with updates (guess how well that went). This is beyond stupid. I get supply chain issues, but if you don't have it, then don't schedule it for delivery. If i'm going to drop 8 grand on a product you sell, then i expect better customer service then throwing your hands up and saying "i dunno what to tell you" read more

I recently purchased a sofa table from here and had a great experience! Denise Doole was super helpful and pleasant to work with! Mark was great too! The table I found was discontinued but they were able to sell me the floor model at a discounted price! They were also able to hold the table for me while I ran to the Edwardsville Ashley to try and find the same table, I needed two sofa tables! I was able to purchase the table in Edwardsville also! Never even get a protection plan from Ashley. We bought our couch and availed their protection plan for $250 and it says in the contract that it is good for 5 years. After a year, we needed to use it cause our 5 year old drew on our couch using a sharpie. They sent a technician to clean our couch. The technician went to our house and lasted for about 10 seconds before telling us that he is not going to clean it. That he will just replace the whole cover of our couch. We were happy to hear it. He said Ashley will contact us if it's time for them to replace it. Months gone by and nobody contacted us. So we called them only to be connected to an outside contractor for cleaning. The contractor told us that they cannot do anything about it cause it's not covered by the protection. So what happened to the technician who went to our house and said they will replace the whole cover of it?? So then we asked for a refund. Because it's in the contract that if we don't use it we can get a full store credit refund. But they said they cannot refund us cause it's been a year. Then again, we insisted on a refund. And the lady on the phone said, Okay they will refund us a little amount but before they can refund us, she will have to send a letter and we need to sign it first. Okay, months gone again, we never received any letter. I cleaned the sharpie out of our microfiber couch by myself. If you are buying from Ashley, don't even get their protection plan. Terrible experience! Very pushy, condescending salespeople! Went in looking for a bed and mattress and walked out 2 minutes later because the salesman wouldn't let us just look around. Told me mattresses were nothing but white boxes without an expert salesman to explain it to me. Then another salesperson in a white lab coat told me "you can just continue being confused then" when I said I just wanted to look around. Unbelievable! I am still waiting for my furniture. We took advantage of the 0% financing and bought a good amount of furniture. The first delivery date came (waited 4 weeks for that date). was told my furniture was on back order and would be another 3 weeks. (waited the 3 weeks ), then once again I was told my furniture was on back order and it would be another week or so. Very frustrated. I do wonder if customers that take advantage of the 0% are put off with the back order excuse until you decide to just cancel. Like I said no furniture yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have called over and over about my delivery , ask for a supervisor, was told several times they will call. No call so far. would not recommend. I bought a very expensive leather sectional and specifically told the sales person that I wanted the recliner exactly as the one on the floor. Not only the recliner was ordered wrong with opposing sides, instead of what I asked but now I'm stuck with only a partial recliner without any idea when I'm going to get the rest of the recliner!!!!!! I bought the Porter Bed and a mattress 5 years ago and have complained about the long length of the bed and the constant squeaking noise it makes. After having surgery last week and being put on bed rest the bed caved in (the slats broke). I went into Ashley to speak with the manager and he told me I had to buy new rails and slats and still cannot explain why the bed has a 6" gap where the mattress meets the bed. We paid another $112 for the new rails and slats, drove to South County to pick them up and discovered they had delivered and installed California King rails on my bed five years ago. The new rails are shorter and are the proper King rails. I called and told the manager and he would not correct the problem because the bed was bought 5 years ago. Customer care said they would issue the refund if the manager would verify I had been having this complaint. I've called daily for a week and been told everyday i would personally be called back. Jim has NEVER returned my call! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE!!!! They got their money and I got blown off. Maybe they will listen when my lawyer sends my medical bill? read more

Overall, the quality I expect from Ashley was there and the customer service was great. The reason for the 1 star dock is two-fold. 1: I really wish they weren't quite as expensive, but it is what it is. 2: The table that came with our set had busted out wood where the legs connect due to whoever put it together over-torquing the screws. They said they'd replace it but that they didn't have any in-stock and would have to order one and that it may take several weeks at a minimum before I get the replacement. At no point have they offered any compensation for their mistake. If a company that charges this much for their furniture makes a mistake, you'd expect some type of compensation. Anyways, great furniture as always. We're practically an all Ashley Furniture family and happy with all of it, from the old (12 years ago) to the new (1 week ago) :-) read more

I purchased 2 bed sets, Couch, Love Seat, tables and purchased the extended warranty. The salesperson loved me that day and told me with the extended warranty all my stuff would be covered for the next 5 years. I of course did this and my 1st issue was last year. The board on the inside of my couch is broken and pushing out of the back of the couch. Poor manufacturing which caused the default in the furniture. I was denied when I submitted the claim. Next was my love seat, which is starting to unravel, denied of the claim. The best one is a side board to one of the beds. It split from poor manufacturing which caused the default and at 1st the claim was accepted. Then I received a call stating Upper Management reviewed it again and it's denied. If it was a sun spot or the item was peeling it would be covered but the actual breakage is not covered at all. So I'm once more denied from the default in the side rail. It's wonderful how people are so nice to you and will tell you anything to get your money for the purchase. When something actually goes wrong they will keep telling you anything they can to avoid fixing or replacing it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! What's funny is we are shopping right now to furnish our basement that we just finished and I WILL NOT be a repeat customer to this store! We purchased our bed about a month ago and was told that it would be delivered on the 27th of April. We received a call today to inform us that the bed would not be delivered until the 6th of April just to have the change again to the 26th of April. I wish that I would have read the reviews prior to purchasing because this seems like the norm...Just as another reviewer states, they told us that we would get the rails on the 26th of April and the bed delivered on another date. I am on the phone as I type with a representative to get a full refund. It is absolutely insane to have us wait two months to receive a bed! Purchased a "brown" power sofa and power rocker recliner on 12/12/20 at the Ashley store in Shiloh IL. On January 29, a "grey" power sofa was delivered to my home. Upon delivery (while delivery men were still in my home) I contacted customer service to advise wrong color was sent to my home. They advised to keep the grey couch until my exchange item was delivered. Called the store to speak with my salesperson Todd Brown who advised that he would take care of the replacement and escalate this issue. He stated that he had updated the color in their system for the power rocker recliner since I still hadn't received it and had the exchange power sofa ordered in "brown". Fast forward to Feb. 10, 2021 when I received my Ashley credit card statement in the mail, which was charged for the grey power sofa I didn't order. Tried calling the Shiloh, IL store multiple times on 2/10/21, phones were forwarded to a call center in TN, spoke with lady in TN who advised that my brown power sofa had not been reordered that I needed to go to the store to reselect. However, my power rocker recliner was in delay status with a delivery date of May 2021. The call center submitted a ticket to the Shiloh IL location to call me within 48 hours. On 2/11/21, I called the Shiloh IL store and spoke with Operations Manager Tyra (sp?), explained the above facts, she checked the system only to discover that my brown power sofa was not actively ordered in the system and the power rocker recliner was still noted in her system as "grey" and in delayed delivery status (May). She advised that she corrected the color issue and needed to make a call to see if she can get confirmed delivery timeframe (with the change to brown color deliver status changed to March) and see what kind of compensation she can offer for my troubles. I can't believe that as a customer, I have to through this much trouble trying to get answers and resolve to the issues at hand. Someone needs to take a good hard look at the operational processes at the Shiloh IL store. Still waiting to hear back from Tyra. No confirmed delivery date on the brown power sofa/power rocker recliner as of 12:40 p.m. on 2/11/21. read more

My experience was just bad all the way around.. so bad I went back in right at opening the next day and cancelled $2000 worth of furniture I loved. I was promptly greeted by the sales person.. as I found a table I really liked there was a manager sitting down in one of the chairs at that table and made an odd ball comment about "being my pretend husband sitting at the table" and let out the loudest laugh as I stared at him.. and apparently my salesman didn't understand I was not amused because he proceeded to say "And this is your pretend divorce" and they both laughed like it was the funniest thing they had heard all year and I just stood there with a blank stare half rolling my eyes. I felt uncomfortable but was able to find 3 pieces of furniture that I did really like - I asked how soon delivery usually runs and he said 2-3 weeks. I felt that was a tad long for me to be honest simply because other places in the area such as Value City deliver within the same week and so does Rothman's. When I asked about a military discount he said they have one but would have to "check" on the amount. As I sat down to negotiate, he stated "I think that bed set was $999" and wrote the price down (because apparently the computer system was down) and I responded with "don't you think we should double check before just jotting down a price" (I thought I had read $899 but could have been wrong to be honest..) Then, when I asked again about the military discount he went over his ear piece and spoke to someone on the other end who said 20% discount.. keep in mind the salesman didn't tell me the discount he just kept writing up my order! I literally waited and waited for him to tell me what it was and then finally said do you have a discount or not? The salesman adds the price on his cell phone mind you and I asked why so high did he forget the discount and he said "well I gave you the discount on these pieces but not that" umm.. excuse me?? So now we pick and choose prices without telling the person who's buying the stuff!? Yes, should have left then and there BUT I had spent so long furniture shopping and this was the ONLY place that I found items I really liked. Long story continues but as I went to sit down to write the check with some lady - I assume the customer service women? She added the pricing up 3 times and ended up finding out I "owed" $100 more. I again should have walked but I Just Wanted the shopping to be over and to get my stuff and be on my way.. needless to say after upping the price because the salesman using his cell phone to calculate added wrong I was told they would call me about a delivery date - ummm really? I left.. horrible taste in my mouth and felt used, spit out and sent on my way to come home to look up reviews to see if it was just a 1 time bad experience or if this was common - I find yelp with people over and over reporting similar issues. Not to mention delivery dates running usually weeks to months out! Not 2-3 weeks. Nuff said I was D-O-N-E. The day it was delivered i tested the couches functions and notice the chase was missing a leg and one of the armless reclining chairs did not recline. The delivery drivers said i would have to call in to set up the appointment for the repair. The DAY i received the couch i called in to set up an appointment. the first appointment took 2 months to schedule on a Thursday (my only day off). For him to come out and tell me, yeah its gonna need some parts, will get those ordered, then you will have to call back in when you receive the parts for us to set up another appointment. I talked to managers, just so they can tell me, well we deal with a 3rd party company that does all the repairs. so we can't give you a definite delivery day. We will have to check with them to see their available days, but we will be sure to give you a call back. 4 months later...I'm still waiting for my couch to be fixed. Thus will certinaly will be our last time we ever shop at an Ashley store. Our last experice was not good but we fell in love with a dining room set that we wanted. After watching the price online it had went on sale so instead of ordering online we chose to go into the store to buy it. We spent roughly 3 hours in the store just to be told that the chairs were no longer in stock after they found a few other stores that carried them they told us they would call and find out the condition before we ordered them. After an hour they gave up and told us that we would have to go to the other stores our self and find out. Once we got the bill it was over priced from the online price. They told us that they do not work from the website prices which we did not know, they did match the price of the online price only after we said something. When we went to close our bill out we had a coupon that we used instead of getting the in store promotion. After leaving we noticed we did not get the online price for the table so we called the next morning. They gave us the online price for the table which was but previously with our coupon it was a 12$ difference. They only refunded the 12$ didnt honor our coupon and did not honor the in store promotion... We also went the next day to find the rest of the chairs which when we found out that they were still in stock and the other stores were asking the full price of 200. We just ended up ordering them online for 100 each. This entire experience was very frustrating and wasted a lot of our time. We have learned our lesson and will never shop at these stores again. read more

Terrible customer service and they do not stand behind their merchandise. We bought a couch and chair that have electric headrest, lumbar and foot controls. After four days one end of the couch was not working. The lumbar and headrest would not move. We checked the connections and the plug. Everything was plugged in and the lights were on but those two pieces were not working. After several phone calls we were told that someone would have to come out and replace the mechanism. They refused to exchange the couch. It was only 4 days and it was not working, I wonder how long before the other mechanisms don't work. I will never go to a chain again, especially Ashley. So far this has taken multiple phone calls because they did not call me back in 48 hours like I was told. Now we have to wait for the part to get delivered, then call them back to tell them the part is here so they can schedule their third party repair person. read more

Do not buy the warranty from Ashley Furniture!!! Ashley will not stand by the warranty even though they are the ones selling it to the customer. They will provide you information to you that makes the warranty sound like a good deal but they will not provide you the full terms of the warranty that will allow the warranty company to deny 'all' claims. Provided great customer service. Allowed time to discuss decisions with family members, instead of pressuring us into a purchase. Delivery was good, given a 3 hour window, and only bad thing was they came the last 20 minutes of the time window. Have to watch finacing, was approved by 1 company, but received 2 different credit cards in the mail. Did not allow second finance company to pull a hard credit report, which in return hurt my credit. Closed second company right away. Very frustrating!! Especially when trying to rebuild credit!! I am not at all satisfied, from the beginning to end of my transaction, it has been nothing but a nightmare. I am currently waiting for them to either come pick up the furniture that they lied to me about when I was making the purchase or figure out the solution to the problem. I asked numerous times that the frame I was purchasing with my headboard was exactly what I wanted and to make the sale they said of course it was. Upon arrival today it is far from what I expected and wanted. Now I am playing phone tag/dealing with the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Telling someone you will call them back in a half an hour and it now being two hours later and still not hearing anything is unbelievable!! Be prepared for the world of pushy salesman and empty promises. I purchased a three-year protection plan on all of my furniture, 1 year later it was inspected and none of the damage qualified even though the protection plan brochure that they gave me stated everything that the damage would be covered... Very minor stain, glass on a dress or cracked, and wood chipped off the dresser the day I got it. Ashley furniture claims that their products are quality but it is all just manufactured particleboard junk. Additionally, the delivery men were very rude and kept hitting on me. This was completely inappropriate. Did I mention that I've called them on three different locations for them to update my phone number I changed and they continually call my old number and then send me emails telling me they can't reach me. Seriously... They can't even get a phone number right. Do you really want to purchase such an expensive investment product like your home furniture with such an ignorant company?
