I've had a horrible experience with Ashely furniture and will NEVER do business with this company again. As a loyal customer who has spent thousands at this business they have failed to even try to fix a huge mistake they made. After verbally confirming my delivery address twice in the store to two different people it went to the wrong address. I caught this error before the delivery time and instead of trying to contact the driver to correct the address which was only a mile difference they refused and said I had to come back into the store to sign papers. Not to mention the delivery was early and I was forced to leave work and told they contacted the driver and said he would not wait, but they refused to contact the driver to correct the address. Now they are telling me I have to wait over a week for my furniture because they can't guarantee I get the next delivery even though they screwed up. If this couch was not done on store credit I would refund my money, the quality of the furniture isn't worth this kind of poor unprofessional customer service. We have purchased almost all our furniture from Ashley. After the last experience we had. I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. EVER. I am now on my fourth delivery, and still don't have all my furniture. Four days off work, and no one bothered to tell me all my furniture wasn't coming. I have had a kitchen table for over two months with no chairs. We can't use the table. Mind you I also ordered an entire Livingroom set, that wasn't delivered so I have been without any furniture in my Livingroom because I got rid of my old furniture to make room for the new furniture that was supposed to be delivered. When they finally delivered my sectional only 3 pieces were delivered instead of the whole couch. Who delivers part of a couch. Mind you I still have not received the chairs for my table. I am to the point just come pick up the items you delivered and I will order from another company that can deliver the items I purchased as one. When I called customer service they said if we hold your other pieces and wait for the couple of pieces that are on backorder we will give the items to someone else and you will have to wait longer. I went to purchase a new bed and sectional on 12/31/2019. My experience in the store was good but the issues came when it was time for delivery. I wasn't moving until February 1st but I purposely purchased everything early so that there wouldn't be a delay on anything. About two weeks after my purchase I got an call saying that my sectional would be delayed, so I called to see the expected delivery date and they told me that the call was an error and that my furniture was still be delivered on the 1st. Then literally two days before my move I got a call saying that the sectional was in fact on back order and I wouldn't receive it until February 13th. Most furniture stores offer same day delivery so it was crazy to me that I would have to wait a whole month in a half to receive the product. I called to cancel the sectional and get my money back and that call was just as bad, no apology or anything. I will NOT be purchasing from Ashley HomeStore again. read more

Bought a headboard and frame and dealt with a very nice salesman named Tony. Price was OK and was promised delivery and given a delivery time window between 2-5 pm. Furniture did not show up and was not informed of any delay. We had to initiate every phone call for status update, they kept saying it will be delayed.. Finally got a call at 10:53 pm (woke us up), asking if we will accept the delivery!!! Went back to the store to complain and reschedule - since nobody bothers to call the customer. The best they can do is re-shedule for next week!!! We actually PAID $59 delivery charge and it feels like you are begging for them to deliver the furniture. We ordered furniture on June 23rd, 2014. Delivery was promised on July 1st. Partial delivery was made. Bed set had missing items. Dresser without mirror. Lots of missing items. Delivery person could not assemble the bedset. Then balance delivery was promised on July 9th. Nothing was delivered. we were waiting at home. Today is July 13th - Nothing has been delivered. All Balance items are pending. Not they are talking about delivery beyond July 17th. Store manager and customer service will not cancel your order and they will not deliver on time. They will try to refer you to one another and then to their Regional Manager. It is a very painful, frustrating and horrible experience with this store and Ashley customer service. You will be wasting your time and they will not be able to deliver your furniture on time. read more

I've been an Ashley consumer for years -- purchasing furniture from Ashley catalogs way before they entered the brick & mortar business in Houston. Nevertheless, I should have heeded the reviews on this forum. I went to the Sugar Land store on President's Day to shop for a small sectional. I was promptly greeted by a salesperson, I relayed what I was looking for, and the salesperson showed me several options. I settled on a selection, opted for the protection package, chose a delivery date of 3/4/16, paid in full, and left. Checking out was a bit of a hassle because there weren't many cashiers available close to closing, but my salesperson was pleasant and I didn't mind. A day later, I noticed a competitor's ad that featured my sofa for less. I double-checked the fine print of my Ashley receipt and went back to the store to get a price match, plus 10% of the difference. After the cashier only adjusted to price match, I reiterated their fine print. The manager, Willie Sells, was brought over and after reading the policy to him, he agreed that's what it said and that's what should be done. Great. I receive the appropriate price adjustment and left. On 3/3, I waited until about 6p for a call to confirm my delivery window. After not receiving one, I called the store and was informed that my order had been cancelled. Excuse me? After being placed on hold for 15-20 mins, having calls dropped, going back and forth with the corporate call center to be patched to the store, and retelling the issue 3 times, I finally speak to the store manager (Mr. Sells again) and he says that somehow the cashier cancelled my order due to (incorrectly) thinking there were 2 of the same order, didn't want to [accidentally] charge me twice, and other nonsense. I asked if the issue could be resolved that evening for me to receive my delivery on 3/4. He said that the sofa was in stock and that he'd look into it and call me back in 15 minutes. 2 hours later he returned my call and said he would have to look into the delivery schedule on the actual day. He advised he would get to work at 10a on 3/4 and assured that he would call me by noon. Needless to say, he never called me. After not receiving a call from the store manager, I visited the store on 3/5. I asked to speak to a manager and when an employee asked my issue and I stated my name, she immediately called Willie Sells on the radio. Mr. Sells walked over and after feigning to vaguely recall my situation (though the employee who radioed him retold the whole scenario and reminded him he knew about it) he said "Well, let's go see what we can do [on the floor]." Excuse me? After I remarked that he was supposed to call me on 3/4, he said he 'forgot/was being pulled in 21 different ways/he can be a man and admit he forgot.' Oh ok. Fool me once... So, Mr. Sells' memory-lapse resulted in a lost commission for the salesperson, a loss of my confidence in Ashley, and a gain for Rooms to Go who was happy to take the money Ashley "accidentally" didn't want. I know my small purchase won't make or break Ashley Furniture, but in the bloated furniture sales industry where there are no less than 5 big box furniture stores off of Hwy 59 between 610 and Sweetwater Blvd, you would think a store manager would do more to retain a sale. Just had an incredibly bad customer service experience at this location. The sales person, Fernando, was very good to work with. He offered the extended protection plan and we declined so he left to write up the order. We were then approached by the sales manager who "pounced" on us re the protection plan. Continued to pressure us even after we made it clear to him that we were not interested - pressured us to the point of harassment. When we finally went to pay (took forward for them to process a simple transaction), we were told we could not phone in a revised delivery address and that we would have to physically return to the store in order to revise. That was the tipping point an we walked out of the store. Felt bad for Fernando as Ashley's sales manager and their customer service cost him a commission. read more

I don't see how these people stay in business. Their product is poor and defective. I bought leather couches and they peeled in 3 years. I even bought the warranty and they did not replace or give me any kind of credit. I just bought a bed for my 3 year old which I drove an hour to pick up and save the $155 delivery fee. It came completely broken. They wanted me to wait 2 more weeks and go back and pick it up myself or charge me the delivery fee. Bad business, bad product, and bad customer service. We ordered an entire living room set, four lamps, two rugs, a desk, and desk chair on Friday, June 28. Knowing we would have a house full of people on July 4th we wanted our furniture delivered before then. They gave us a deliver day of July 3 (today). Everything would be delivered but the rugs and two lamps. That's fine. We can live with that. As long as we had a living room set for everyone to sit on. So this morning my husband and I completely emptied our living room. We gave everything away to Goodwill. Around noon we still hadn't received our call telling us our delivery window so my husband called to find out. Whomever he spoke to informed him that a message was left on his voicemail stating our delivery was now moved to Friday, July 5. Never was a message left nor is there record of a phone call at all. This is unacceptable since tomorrow is the 4th and we have company coming. So my husband made several different phone calls to several different departments in Ashley and everyone he spoke to had a "couldn't care less attitude". We explained that we now had NO living room furniture as well as company coming tomorrow. They told us the trucks were full and couldn't fit our furniture on to deliver today. The sales manager at the store even suggested my husband come pick it up. As if we have a truck that big, nor should we have to! So here we are, crossing our fingers that they deliver our furniture between 9-11 in the morning as they finally worked out with us. If not, my guests will be sitting on lawn chairs in the living room and everyone will know how Ashley screwed us on our delivery. Bad, bad business. Bad, bad advertising. I had a horrible experience with Ashley Furniture. I purchased two twin beds which were scheduled for delivery on 03/16/19. I took the day off from work to be present at home for my delivery. After waiting all day for my delivery, I received a call from Ashley furniture delivery staff who informed me that they had partial pieces for the twin beds, no headboards and no mattresses. I was asked if I still wanted the pieces delivered and was told the headboards and other pieces would be delivered until "further notice". Needless to say, I was very upset and refused to get "partial pieces" delivered. After discussing the issue and expressing my frustration I was told I would get a delivery fee refund. The furniture was rescheduled for delivery on 03/20/19. Again, I had to take off work for another disappointment. No delivery and no phone call follow up from Ashley Furniture on my subsequent delivery date. A few days ago I had to leave work early to travel to Ashley Furniture in an attempt to address the issue in person. After reporting the ongoing issues, inconvenience and voicing my frustration, I was provided with a delivery date of 03/28/19. Today, just when I thought this experience couldn't get any worse, I was informed by delivery staff that they only had one twin bed. I cannot find words to describe how frustrating and dreadful this experience has been for me! This is my first time purchasing from Ashley Furniture and it will undoubtedly be my LAST TIME! I was also expecting a set of tables for my living room; however, I will be requesting a full refund as I can no longer take days off from work only to get another dissapointment. read more

I do not recommend Ashley Furniture Sugarland location. Customer Service is horrible! I purchased a dining table set and a bed from Ashley Furniture Sugarland on a Sunday. I received the dining table on Monday but did not have the bed in my possession till late Tuesday evening. Once I received the bed at my home, I found the style and color did not blend well with my other furnishings. I contacted Ashley Furniture first thing Wednesday morning to request a return/refund of the bed as the store did not have any other beds that would suit my décor. An Ashley Furniture associate (Nikki) who was very kind and ready to assist answered the call and told me that I would need to speak with the store manager regarding this and that he was currently on travel and would not be back in the office tiIl Friday. I then phoned Ashley furniture to speak with the Store Manager on that Friday as instructed but only this time an Ashley Furniture associate by the name of (Ethel) picked up the call and said that the Store Manager was in training for most of the day and that she would be the person to assist in returns. I explained to her about my bed purchase and was told that she would have to phone me back within an hour. She (Ethel) phoned me 2.5 hours later and told me that the manager would not allow a refund as Ashley's return policy notes that all items must be returned within 48 hours of purchase for refund. Mind you, I only had the bed in my possession for 24hrs. Even though I may have purchased the bed on Sunday, I did not get the bed from Ashley Furniture/Distribution center till Tuesday evening; meaning I did not have the bed in my possession for 48 hours--only had the bed for one night. I asked Ethel, who if I may add was not the nicest or the most helpful of people, if I could speak with the Manager and was told that he was currently in meetings; and she reemphasized that he had no intention in approving a refund of the purchase and that I would have to make a different selection or take store credit. I then asked to speak with the Sales agent (Farrukh) who I made the purchase from, which was a complete waste of time as he could not offer any assistance whatsoever. It's funny how he had so much to say on the day he was trying to get us to make a purchase but now that we've made the purchase and/or he's made his sales commission from our purchase, he did not have much of anything to say. I explained to him about what happened with the bed purchase and that I would now have to make a reselection. I asked him about one bed that I may possibly consider as an exchange for the one I purchased from him. He (Farrukh) said that they did not have the bed to show and suggested I make another furniture selection other than a bed. When I first came to Ashley Furniture I was in the market for a dining table set and a bed...why would I want to purchase anything different...I NEED A BED?! He (Farrukh) then basically said "I don't know what to tell you mam" and ended the call. I phoned the store back and asked for Ethel to see if she could check to see if there were any other Ashley Furniture stores in the Houston area that may have the bed I was considering as a reselection available in their showroom for me to see before the exchange. She (Ethel) told me to hold on and never returned to the line nor have I yet to receive a call back from her and/or anyone from their store! I feel like now that Ashley Furniture Sugarland store has my money, there is no care, no assistance or solution to my problem from them. I'm now stuck with a product that does not work with my home decor. I am totally unhappy with my experience at Ashley Furniture Sugarland store. I wish I could give ZERO stars for this company.. I purchased a sofa, rug, and 2 lamps. I was told by the salesman that I had 14 days from the date of delivery to exchange ITEMS I didn't care for. NOT COMPLETELY TRUE. I didn't care for the lamps. Well, after calling customer care, I was given the run around. Customer care says the store handles that, the store says customer care handles that. Great. Ended up speaking to a "manager" whose response to my every question was it's store policy. She even said I needed to talk to the sales person directly, even though he doesn't have the authority to authorize a reselect. Why talk to him then?!? Idiot! Apparently the 14 day reselect is only for the large items like the sofa. My salesman left that part out. Funny because I specifically asked about exchanges because I wasn't fully sure if the lamps would match the rest of the living room. Had I known I didn't have the option to exchange them, I wouldn't have bought them! Now I'm stuck with two lamps that were over $100. They actually lost money because had they just exchanged the lamps, I would have bought more furniture. Now I will never set foot in that store again. I guess I should have read the reviews before shopping at Ashley Furniture since the majority of them are negative. I purchased a sectional sofa just over a year ago, I was also foolish enough to buy the extended warranty. The sofa is falling apart after a year and I have tried to use the warranty twice and both times it would not cover it. The warranty states that it covers rips and cuts....unless its on a seam! I am writing my true experience here. When I moved to Houston, I went to Ashley because of my trust in their brand. Before I went to the Ashley Sugar land store I checked the review, I noticed that they had the worst review. But I didn't listen to the review and I am suffering now because of that. I bought 2 leather sofas with recliner and the leather started to peel off within 2 years. I paid so much money for the sofas and even purchased the insurance. When I contacted the insurance company, they said they don't replace or fix the sofa (I have no clue then why they force us to buy the insurance).As per the insurance company (Montage) I contacted Ashley customer service and they never helped me to fix the sofa.They asked me to provide the pictures of the sofas and the tags and I did accordingly on time.But I found out that,one of the sofas that I purchased had no serial tags. These sofas were delivered to my house with the same state. I have no clue what happened to those tag or who tampered with them but this is how they were delivered to my house.I have informed the representative the same.But they said they wont fix or replace the sofa.I felt so much sad and upset with the customer service attitude and arrogance.I am sure they are playing games. I sent them the original bill as a proof that clearly says the model number and everything.They really know there is no serial number or tag for their particular products from some of their suppliers.The rep told me ( by mistake i think) ,the particular supplier ,many products got complaints and they removed their service. So they know their games.Purely cheating customers with dirty tricks. The worst customer experience I ever had. Just returned from a trip to Ashley that I just had to share. My husband and I were there to buy. We were looking for a complete set for our media room, so about $7,000 worth of furniture. The first guy to approach us made the general small talk and then launched into how he was going through a divorce but was friends with an attorney who would help him take his wife for everything. Great. I gave the usual, "Sorry to hear that, " and then changed the subject back to the furniture. As we're talking, he's listening in his earpiece to other conversations and talking to them at the same time. At no time did he give us his full attention.The next you thing you know, he announces that he has to go move a piece of furniture from the clearance room and would be right back, but don't talk to any other salespeople because they work on commission and he'll have to split his. Tacky, but I cut him some slack. Maybe his attorney wouldn't pan out as he had hoped. So my husband and I looked for coffee tables to go with the furniture we were considering, no one helping us or giving us any information. Sales guy returns and we tell him we need a price on everything. He disappears to do this (why?) and stays gone for a while. At this point, we've been there about an hour and I just want the price and want to buy and get on with my day. Finally, he returns, but only with an invoice, and sits down to start doing the math, which is sloooowww going. Suddenly, a yelling voice comes over his ear piece to get back to the desk to complete a sale for someone else. I turn around and see the guy who's doing the yelling, but our guy ignores him and keeps writing up the price. About 5 minutes pass when the yeller comes up to us and introduces himself as the STORE MANAGER(!) and says, "Sorry guys, but he has to go finish a sale with another customer. You're going to have to wait." Off the top of my head I can think of 5 better ways this could have been handled, but pulling him away from customers who are ready to spend $7,000??? What an idiot. We left, and they lost the sale. And now reading these other Yelp reviews, I am thanking God the sale didn't go through. As we walked to our car, I said to my husband, "Well, that answers the question of why the sales guy was so unprofessional. When you have a store manager who doesn't have the first clue about customer service, you should expect nothing less." I'd rather spend $2,000 more and buy a high quality piece from Gallery Furniture than ever step foot in that store again. The store manager needs to be fired or sent to training somewhere. COMPLETELY disgusted by this stores management. The other day I overheard a disturbing incident between the "manager" and a breast feeding mother. The manager followed this woman throughout the store and when she finally sat down to breast feed he approached her and said "I don't know what you think you're doing. But you can't do that here." He would not use the term breast feeding BC he KNOWS he can't tell a mother to not feed her child. When she began to object he then started throwing random things out such as "you're not even buying anything from us. I can decline service to whoever I want. You're making me uncomfortable." So if this mother were to buy something from your store would you then be satisfied? Does a mother feeding her child offend you? But it doesn't offend you if she's coughing up the $$, right? PATHETIC. I will be calling their corporate office to make a complaint and I hope the staff here is taught a very valuable lesson. How dare anyone publicly humiliate/shame a breast feeding mother. December 19 two pieces of furniture were delivered as scheduled. I suppose the only positive comment I have is the delivery people were kind enough to spot and report the damaged night stand. They had me speak to the customer care rep Bianca. She assure me I would receive a call within 24 hours with a new delivery time with the replacement night stand. I never received that call so I decided to call and spoke to the customer care rep Christina. She indicated my replacement night stand was rescheduled for delivery on the 27th. (Of course what I expected was more effort on their part to deliver a replacement ASAP.) I explained this was unacceptable and the furniture was purchased for the sole purpose of accommodating out of state family before Christmas. She eventually agreed and assured me she would do what ever she could do to expedite my replacement furniture and promised to call me back in two hours. Of course I never did hear back from her. It is now the 21st and I still have no information or resolution. So much for CUSTOMER CARE. It should be CUSTOMER NO CARE. It is disturbing the Customer Care reps have no say or power to resolve any customer issues. Customer Service is NOT just being polite and courteous. The fact is I will never buy furniture from ASHLEYS. If customer service is paramount you will NOT find it at ASHLEYS FURNITURE. There are many many more furniture stores out there. read more

Worst company ever. Their customer service is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. Why can't you guys just deliver the correct chair? You brought the wrong chair they first time. Why can't you just fix your issue and deliver the correct one. I have been waiting over a week for my chair. 3 days in a row I have been told about 3 times each day the driver was 20-30 min away. The last time was at 8:45p and he was on his way. Never showed up. Didn't even call. Nothing. Called again the next morning, some bull**it excuse that the driver lost GPS connection and couldn't find his way to my house. Why didn't they call and tell me this? I could have given them directions to my house. This company is worthless. No care for their customers at all. And of course they say that since its been more than 48 hours that I can't return the chair. Although it's hard to return the chair WHEN IT HASNT EVEN BEEN DELIVERED TO ME YET!!! Worst furniture shopping experience of my life. After talking to a sales rep and manager about furniture price, everything was agreed on. We signed all the documents, took all my billing/shipping information, scanned my driver's license and set up my furniture pick up date/time. As we are paying, another manager comes over and says that the price of the furniture is too low (it was price matched but we had already gone through 3 people, verified exact model #s, etc for 45 minutes). Then he started talking about how he's going to check the other stores license, how the actual process to price match requires him to go to the other store and would take over a week and that the higher price they had in store was still a good price and I should buy it at that. The only reason I tried to price match was because it was 15 minutes closer than the other store. At this point, it had been almost 2 hours and they still couldn't care less about customer service and more importantly, having 4 signed contracts/documents which had the agreed price on it. They do not honor their word, contract or any agreement. I would not trust any thing they say, even if it is in writing, and will never go back. read more

Was told 13%. Discussed a delivery day over the phone. Didn't agree with a $139 delivery fee for a entire living room set. Told him I would talk with him about that isssue when I came in, in a day or so. Show up. Faruk was unavailable. Helped very cordially by Fernando. Asked to see a manager to ensure salesman's courtesy to Faruk. I am in sales also. Obliged by a busy young man who promised to get the sale credit to Faruk. Then it gets odd. While writing the sales ticket, I see 13% on the paper. Ask Fernando how he knows I am paying cash. Says he doesn't. Tells me the 13% is always taken off sticker for full sets. Also says that Faruk often lies. Oops! Don't throw your co-workers under the bus. So after totaling the ticket, it is about $50/60 higher than Faruk's quote. I tell him to get his boss to come off $70, half of the delivery and we are good to go. Very fair I thought, especially since the quote was higher then expected. Then in comes Willie the closer. Now it gets goofy. I was told it was impossible to change any prices. So I give some "I don't believe that's trues" and proceed to leave. I am called back of course. Then it starts to get loud. If you tell someone "listen, Listen, LISTEN!". The last thing they will do is listen. So here comes the volley of "I am the lied to customer" and "Listen". Eventually you just have to say "I won't". I was repeatedly told I did not understand the furniture industry. How could I, I am just a sales manager of a major company. I did remind him of such. Needless to say, I did continue, several times to ask for the small discount and to pay for the furniture. Then out of frustration I demanded his managers name and number, both refused many times. Eventually I was given the name, but refused a number. "Call the store if I wanted it". Good grief. I just wanted to buy an entire room of furniture. My bad I guess. I again offered all but $70 for the furniture and was denied. I left, frustrated, lied to, cussing to myself under my breath. What a terrible experience. No new furniture for the family today. Maybe the cash offended them. Wrong color green maybe? Please take these negative reviews to account. I spend my day and many nights helping customers. This Ashley store knows nothing of the kind. Horrible, horrible experience. Beware. Be very aware. I can only imagine the lack of service after the sale. read more

We purchased a dinette set in late October last year. I recently notice a few screws missing from one of the cushions. I called (between six and seven pm) to see if maybe they had a few hanging around in a drawer that they could give me. Lisa answered, listed carefully, and directed me to the store manager Eddie. He answered and told me to come in. He was closing that night and told me to take my time. He'd be there until nine. When I got there he took the screw and piece of hardware I had and went searching! I had no intention on buying ANYTHING. They made me fell so comfortable that I took a look around. After about twenty minutes Mr. Eddie returned to say that he didn't see any in his back room. He then gave me a number to contact to ask for the things I needed (update-called customer care the next day-the screws I need will be sent to my home in 10-14 days for free). Long story short I purchased something. he turned me over to Mr. Mome (a proud father of two little boys) who finished the deal. I'm going back tomorrow to get a few more things.
