Avoid this store at all cost. We have bought a lot of furniture from Ashley in the past, but now they are under new corporate ownership and it is a disaster in terms of customer care. The delivery company is a separate entity entirely and not run very well at all. In the future we will definitely be looking to other stores for our furnishing needs. Just receive our new furniture (dining set, couch and entertainment unit) last week from Ashley and I couldn't be happier! =) The location is in Sugar Land and may be a bit of a drive for people, but so worth it! Compared to a lot of furniture stores we had shopped at, this location is huge. It is well organized, and didn't have broken or floor models that were falling apart unlike some stores (ahem...Room Store!). Most (if not all) the furniture is marked with it's price and details about the piece. So you do not have to bug a sale associate about the price each time (rather annoying). Most of the pieces were of good quality and at extremely low prices too! The sale associate that we worked with was Alma and she was a doll! She made sure we were satisfied with our selections, tried to give us the best deal possible, and did everything with a smile =). We opted to get our furniture delivered to our new apartment, since we live on the second floor now and to prevent back breaking work. Unlike most horror experiences many people may have had with furniture delivery guys (whether it be late arrivals, unprofessionalism or broken/missing furniture upon arrival), the two men that delivered our furniture were prompt at 9:30 AM. They were very efficient and made sure everything was set up and extremely friendly! Ashley Furniture has the best Customer Service of a furniture store bar none. FYI: When purchasing pieces of furniture here, buy the warranty. The warranty guarantees not only the workmen ship of the furniture, but also normal "wear and tear" (i.e. stains, rips, heat/burn marks, etc.) Also, if they can not repair the damage, they will replace it for free (or if that furniture piece is no longer available, they will find a comparable piece to replace it with). It is under warranty for 5 years too, and it's not only a one time use either (you can use this service as many times as needed). The warranty for the dining set, couch, and entertainment unit was just about $150. So if you are looking to remodel your home's or apartment's interior, then this place can get your pad spruced up in no time! read more

Horrible Experience from Purchase to Delivery. Rude, Pushy Sales Staff Plan on long wait times for delivery and to be completely inconvenienced with their delivery times. (They are right up there with Comcast). Delivery drivers damaged dresser on delivery. Very careless and rude. I had to force them to put it back on the truck. They wanted to leave me damaged product and said they would send a repair person to "fix" it. It's been 8 weeks since our purchase and we are still waiting for the replacement dresser to be delivered. Save yourself several headache and go somewhere else. read more

I've decided to make this an in-vivo review. My wife and I went to Ashley on Saturday 7/21 to purchase 1 of 2 beds we'd already picked out. It's been quite an interesting experience and the bed still hasn't been delivered. So I will share the journey. (1) In-store experience. We visited Ashley during the 4th of July weekend just to see what was available--thinking we might cash in on the expected holiday deals. As it turned out, the regular price on the two beds we liked were quite reasonable so we planned to just come back later and buy them. We went on 7/21 and luckily for Ashley, our decision to purchase had already been made before we set foot inside. We had a hard time securing a salesperson to work up the order. We didn't need to be sold to--just write it up and schedule the delivery. Well, after about 20 minutes of waiting and asking different people if they could help us, we got someone. This guy was obviously new, which was fine, but I'm not sure he was at the point in his training where he should have been set loose in the showroom. He took a long time figuring out how to write down the item number and who to contact to start the order. Then, he didn't know how to schedule delivery. This is where we learned that only 1/4 salespeople working at the time knew what they were doing. One guy was frantically helping the 3 others with their customers and trying to train them on entering orders and scheduling delivery. Last, we learned that the sale/delivery and actual payment are separate processes. We were herded over to the finance desk, where the clerk made much of taking our cash payment. This process took about 20 minutes, as we waited for others to be served and for a clerk to become available. It took less time to close on our house. (2) Delivery. Delivery was originally scheduled for Sat 7/28. On Mon 7/23 they called and noted a slot had opened for Wed 7/25 and, against my better judgment, I accepted it. Well, family was over and we'd planned on all going to dinner. Around 6:30p I got the sneaking suspicion that they would not be on time. I called and, lo and behold the drivers were 1 hour behind. I immediately noted I'd prefer to reschedule and was told by the store rep that she would have to connect me to Customer Relations in order to do so. 15 minutes and a disconnected call later, they called me back and asked if we could "please wait an extra hour," pointing out that the next available delivery time would be Wed 8/1. I refused and exclaimed my annoyance at having given up my 7/28 slot at their offering, only to be inconvenienced with a late delivery and a 2nd option of an even later delivery date. We rescheduled for 8/1 and I left it at that. 10 minutes later as I'm sitting outside the restaurant, the driver calls to notify me they'd be arriving in 30-45 minutes. I told him of the rescheduled delivery, and moved on. Another 15 minutes and I receive yet another call from someone at Ashley. Apparently she'd learned from the delivery driver about the rescheduling. I pointed out that they might want to improve their interdepartmental communication as this was now two incidents of right hand not knowing about left hand's actions. Update - So they called on 7/30 and offered a delivery window of 2p-5p. I reminded them that I would need an evening delivery. They stated this was all that was available. I exclaimed my annoyance with their whole process and noted my plan to speak with the sales clerk. In as kind a manner as she could, the delivery rep stated that all the store rep could do was call them, so it would be better if I tried to work something out with her. She said she'd send a message noting that I would prefer after 5p and that I should get a call from them the next day. On 7/31, I did indeed get that call--to confirm the 2p-5p delivery. I literally had to hold the phone away to avoid roaring into it. I told her this call was supposed to be for the purpose of telling me whether that later time would be available. She checked the file and realized this, but stated no later times would be available. I said screw it and just told her to leave the delivery window as it was. At this point I was tired of dealing with this and wanted it over, and if leaving work early was what it would take, so be it. As it turned out, I ended up taking 8/1 off so I was home when the delivery driver called AT 12:00PM AND STATED HE'D BE HERE IN 10 MINUTES. WTF??? The only people I can credit in this story are the delivery guys. Besides arriving 2 hours earlier than the delivery window, they quickly set up the bed and left. Ashley must survive just on their prices. Not looking forward to returning for that second bed. :-/ read more

Delivery service is really really bad, they give you like 2 hour window then show up after the window. Second, the quality of furniture from the store is really poor. We bough a complete set of furniture and the love seat broke on the second day we owned it. Neither my wife nor I are that heavy of people and for it to break when I sit down on it is atrocious. We then had to wait a week for someone to come out to our home and look at the furniture and confirm that it was indeed broke. To which he stated it was not something he could fix and that delivery would be scheduled to pick up the broken couch. Now its been atleast 2 weeks before they called to confirm a 'pickup" day where they could pick up the broken furniture. We were told they would be at the house by 5... The truck showed up after 7pm, to which I questioned them about and was given a rude response. I walked inside and shut the door. They can send someone else who is much more pleasant to deal with. Also they can send me a new couch instead of "fixing" the broken couch. Sadly this is only half of the terrible service we have received from Ashley. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. ORDERED IN MAY, STILL WAITING IN OCTOBER. I went to buy my furniture at this store on Memorial day weekend and I was at first excited and impressed by the store having everything that I needed for college. However, it was too good to be true. I worked with a sales rep named Jonathon Thomas. He told me all my furniture would be delivered on July 14th. When July 14th rolled around, it got pushed 2 weeks. I had to move my hotel reservations that I already paid for because a sales rep "couldn't schedule it on the 14th." Next, 2 weeks later, I was excited because I was promised all my furniture pieces to show up. I travel all the way to my college town expecting it all to be there. NOPE. HALF OF MY STUFF CAME. When I asked Jonathon about it, he told me that he knew that already, but "forgot" to tell me. I had to live in a half-furnished bedroom and house for 2 months because of his sloppy work. At this point, one of my pieces finally came in 3 weeks ago, but I'm STILL WAITING FOR MORE FURNITURE. I ordered a dining chair set of 6, and somehow, I STILL only have 3 chairs. I have had to spend my weeks stressed about scheduling when these stupid chairs are going to come, and every time I reach out to my sales rep he either gives me either false news about when it's coming, or doesn't know the answer. I asked to reach out to the manager, and he tells me he's off work. I'm sorry, but I was impressed with Ashley at first, but now I or no one I know will NEVER PURCHASE FROM HERE AGAIN. It's funny to get excuses about distribution issues, but I ordered from another company and got my furniture built and delivered within 3 days. If you're going to give your customers false dates on when the furniture is going to arrive just to get some sales, then clearly you want to disappoint. I am cancelling the rest of my order, and will turn to a company that actually cares about their customers. Once you get through they put you on hold and walk away. They actually cancelled my delivery with no explanation. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! Back from the and I tried to get a refund. They refused! I came here over the weekend with my sister and mom since they were looking at furniture. I never liked going to furniture stores where all the sales people are at the front loitering to get the next customer that walks through the door. My sister and mom showed me the pieces they were looking at and before I could say my opinion, I guess the sale person that helped them popped right up and said "oh! this is the sister you're talking about." and the next thing you know... she's was tagging along where ever we went in the store. I hate that... it's so annoying to have the sales person to be on your tail, so we had to revert to speaking Chinese. We weren't 100% satisfied with the furniture so we just asked about when the last day of the sale was and she said "today" and we asked her to confirm. She asked a coworker and he said the last day of the sale was Monday (the next day) and then she turns to us and said, "oh, I'm not working tomorrow, thank you Jesus. Ya'll look around and come back by 7:30pm." So I asked her if the store closed at 7:30pm and she said yes but come back before 7pm because we have to do clean up (seriously, i don't think it gets that dirty on the showroom for it to take 30mins to clean up). We went here looking for some bedroom and living room furniture for our daughter who was moving out. It was busy, but the salesman was hovering over us like a vulture. We spent more time listening to his sales pitch and personal stories (Enron, slush funds, his college life, etc). I knew exactly what he was doing. Build a trust and make the shopper lower his guard when considering low end products. I for one don't mind spending more money for solid wood furniture and my daughter felt the same way. The sales guy referred to some bedroom furniture as "solid wood." This wasn't true. The furniture was actually all wood. The furniture was made with wood veneers and was not solid wood. If you get a scratch, cut, or dent in wood veneer it's very difficult to sand it out without getting below the wood veneer and getting into the cheap subsurface which could be press or particle wood. After about an hour, we became disinterested with his stories and sales pitch. We left without purchasing anything. read more

So Here we go, Jesse i wish my friend i had seen yours as well. Because here is the deal. My 81 year mom purchased a couch for her move. We were told it would be delivered sometime yesterday. So we got confirmations about the delivery being scheduled at 3-630pm. So went through the weekend. Mom sold all her couches in a sale because hey she was getting another one on the 13th. Yesterday rolls around she is excited couch is coming to her new place. 6:30 rolls around and my brother reaches out to me, No delivery. So we start inquiring. And find out that the delivery is a hour out, and that Ashley has rescheduled us without a phone call, and made it look like the text for the change was confirmed. Then we get Kathy and wonderful bubbly rep who tells there is nothing basically they can do and if we look at the sales receipt it gives them the option or the ability to deliver up to 9 pm. Keep in mind waiting all day, excited is a 81 year old. So my brother tells them you know what just give us a refund, no i am sorry etc. So Kathy says sure we will send you email. Hour half later the driver calls my mother again, who at this time is at dinner and over 20 mins away. Is told the driver is 10 mins out, of course she gets all upset. Skip forward today. My brother has mentioned to me five times Ashley should have sent email to me about refund. Nothing. So Call, and honestly i am not a sweet heart when you are talking about my mom and someone messing her over. So i actually work around and get Kathy. LOL who first tells me I am not my mom and she isnt going to talk to me. After i explain i represent my mom, Kathy quickly informs me she has already talked to my brother. That is when i tell Kathy i am talking. and commence to cover everything that has expire. Kathy tries again to tell me about the bottom of the receipt. REALLY. I ask Kathy to talk to someone over her she first tells me she is it. Then she tells me she has several bosses, i ask for names and contacts, she tells me first names and tells me oh i cant give any contact information. I hang up. Call the store the store manager and the everyone are appalled by the behavior of delivery and customer services folks. and apologize. Someone from corp just called apologized and said refunds coming . You know what thats great. So this 81 year old gets to start all over again with the hunt. November 2017 we bought dining, kids bedroom set and family room set. We were sold Montage Protection Plan for $500 with the advertisement of "worry free" plan. One Saturday in March 2018, we have company over. When they left that evening, I noticed that part of our wood dining table that got wet had swell up (Not even 4 hours long that we have people over). Per protocol, I notified Montage and Ashley (since it is still less than a year) the next day sending explanation and pictures. A week has passed and I didn't hear from either company. I called Montage and said that they do not cover "water damage" and advised me to call Ashley since my 1 year warranty is still active. I called Ashley and after a 2 weeks, they send someone to look at the table and advised me to call Montage because it is not a manufacturing defect and that my Montage Protection Plan should cover it. So I did again and was told the same thing - in summary, both companies didn't take ownership of my concerns, nobody was willing to help me. Is that the treatment I deserved for being a loyal customer??? and having a furniture not even 6 months old. I called Ashley Customer Service and requested to speak to the manager to let them know that the sales people need to know what Montage protection plan exactly covers since we were told repeated times that whatever happens to the furniture that Montage will take care of it-after all it says "WORRY FREE" plan. Unfortunately, its been more than a week and I haven't heard from anyone. I have been getting the run around about my order, I ordered furniture on March 3, 2021 and it's August 25, 2021, and I still haven't received my order not an update or anything, it's ridiculous. We had to have our dining room table & chairs replaced from damage. They were great and in replacing the entire set and the delivery service was great also. We went back into the store to purchase a warranty on the new furniture and Jessica Arnold was awesome. She was so busy that day and took the time to go over all the details and set us up with another warranty on the new furniture. I go shopping at Ashley furniture, Sugarland, TX. (06.05.13) I decided to get the mattress in the bedroom setting area. I ask the sales guy the price and the name of the mattress. He says Aisha queen $599. I decide to get that one. The mattress was available and he said that it will be shipped a day later as it was around afternoon when I went to the store. I was OK with that. The couch was not available and they said it will be shipped on July 2nd for which I was OK, as I could live without a couch for a month. I get the mattress a day later (06.06.123) finally at 6:45 p.m. They were late and thus I was late for an appointment. I sign the delivery notice and the delivery guys leave. I had to rush out that night as the delivery was late and so did not check out the bed in detail. I returned home on Saturday (06.08.13)and slept on the mattress that night and realized that it was not what I asked for. The next day I drive back to the Sugarland (I live in the Galleria area) Ashley furniture store to again to confirm. I go check the mattress in the bedroom setting area only to find out that the mattress price card had a different price and name. It is priced higher $699 and the name is Euro top sleep design. The bed next to it was Aisha $599. My guess is these price cards got interchanged and the sales guy got the wrong price card and name. I approached a sales associate for help and the first thing he says is accusatory stating that this happens all the time and that someone did this just the other day where he was sent a basic mattress instead of a memory foam. He just assumed that was the case with us. He informed us that it was actually our fault for not noticing immediately. I informed him that this was rude; his prior experience did not apply to us. The mattresses were extremely similar. Additionally, I even called before the mattress was delivered and re-reconfirmed with Ken that I was to receive the Euro top sleep design. Finally, he took me to see the Store Manager who assured me he would be reaching out to the Regional Manager and get back to me the same day if possible or next morning. I leave. 06.10.13 I dont get a call. I call the Ashley customer care to see if there has been any update they route me the the Sugarland, TX store and I reach their Voice message (VM). I leave a VM; no response. I try again at 1:30. I reach their VM and leave another VM; no response. I call them again at 2:30. Finally get to speak with the Store manager. Here is how the conversation goes Me - Hi Ken, and introduce myself. Manager - Hello Me - Do you have any update on my situation Manager - Yes, I cant do anything. We dont replace mattresses Me - What was my mistake in this whole episode? Sales person gets the wrong code. Ashley sends me the wrong mattress and you say you cant do anything about it. Manager - I go by the paperwork Me - Well that is the issue. The Paperwork itself is wrong as the sales person got the code from the price card of a mattress beside the one I intended to buy. Manager - I only go by the paperwork. Me - I ask him again if he can do anything about the situation as the sales guy got the whole thing wrong. Manager - Nope wont replace fo now. But will try again. Me - Is there a case number for my issue or is there a way I cant talk to you manager Manager - We dont go my case numbers and you cannot talk to my managers Me - Well if this is how it goes, I would like to go ahead and cancel the order on my couch which I did not receive yet (July 2nd is when I will be receiving it) Manager - We cannot cancel the whole order, but you can get a store credit for an item of the same price or higher. Me - But I did not receive the couch yet. Manager - We cant do anything since its 48 hours after making the purchase. And I know what you are trying to get out of this by cancelling the order. Manager - Yesterday late in the evening Me - Then why didnt you reach out to me Manager - I was thinking of calling you. Me - You did not call me to give an update. Me - Is there a way I can reach you directly after you further try on my case. Routes me through the automated customer service calling options. Me - By doing this I end up at your store VM box all the time. Is there a direct extension? Manager - Nope After a pause Me - When can I get an update again from you? Manager - Probably tomorrow Me - Should I be using the mattress until then I am not sure. I dont know if you are asking me to sleep on the floor. This is more a review of their customer service. They called me on Feb 10 and left a voice mail explaining that part of my delivery was delayed and would be available on the 12th. They were going to setup delivery and told me in the voicemail that I only need to call if the 12th doesn't work for me. So I did not call back. The woman who left the voice mail was named Lauren Called on the 12th at around 6pm and was told that no delivery was entered into the system to be scheduled. FAIL. So the woman told me that she is going to get me scheduled for the 19th. Well the 19th comes today and I call and they say that no delivery was scheduled because my item is not available. Even though it was available on the 12th. hmmmm Have it scheduled for the 23rd which is a Monday but the woman said they don't do deliveries on Monday. I am really confused. Changing my review from 1 to 4 because they sent me the legs of my sofa by UPS after I sent an email. My previous review " I bought a sofa and a love seat. They were cheap. But I didnt expect that bad, delivered without legs and with 2 scratches. In their invoice it say to call a number for such situations and they will replace / sent a technician within 24 hours. You know what I am calling that number since it was delivered (~15 days), it always says 'all our customer representative are currently busy" and it continues and continues.........as like there is no way to communicate with them once you buy the items, So pissed off" read more

All I can say is this store and the employees are beyond AMAZING!!!! From the moment we walked in we felt the warm and inviting atmosphere. We were greeted by Julian Vidal, he was very patient and extremely honest with us. He was not pushing or just trying to make a sale. He listened to every idea about what I wanted and was able to make my visión come true. Robert Malonson the store manager was great as well. He took time out to talk with us and have a few laughs. He also made sure we were well taken care of. Also while sitting down on this amazing recliner set we watched the employee interacting with other customers and noticed that they ALL were AMAZING in ALL aspects of customer service. Don't be fooled by their Google reviews, look them up on Yelp, 2.7/5.0 stars! If you want to know how bad their service is, try calling the store! Wait times of 45+ minutes, and the phone disconnects because you've been on hold too long! I ended up canceling their order because one of their employees was upset that I rescheduled my delivery and hung up on me. No one ever apologized and no one was sincere in trying to resolve my issue. I requested my order to be canceled and that I be refunded in the full amount. Willy said he wouldn't cancel my order unless I came to their store to cancel, per corporate policy. I called the Corporate call center and they advised that was not a policy. I advised their lackluster manager, Willy, of my conversation with Corporate and he agreed to issue a refund. I've called every week for an update and never get an answer. When I called the call center yesterday and told them about my situation over the last 3 weeks, they informed me that my order was never canceled -- it was waiting for redelivery, and they never issued a refund. Corporate escalated my case to their Emergency Response team, I have called my bank to dispute the charge, and have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. Willy and his team are incompetent, do yourself a favor and shop for furniture ANYWHERE else. read more

Today I find out that they called the secondary number that I provided (a friend) and she was asked to confirm that the order can be cancelled. Do people not read the notes on the account? This store is amazing!!!! The layout makes your furniture shopping easy. The staff here is EXCEPTIONAL. They are patient and extremely knowledgeable. Our product specialist Julian Vidal is out of this world amazing. He allowed us to take our time as we searched for the items we wanted. Very personable and worked diligently at ensuring we purchased what we wanted at a reasonable price. Every question we asked he was able to answer it. We did not feel pressured or like he was just trying to make a sale. The manager Robert Malonson has a down to earth personality and checked in on us. The salesman was great! I purchased a couch on February 13th and called today to inquire about it's delivery date, today is March 15th. I was told it would be another week or so. Seriously I wish I would have gone to gallery furniture because they have same day delivery and pick up. I understand delivery takes longer due to COVID but I would assume they didn't have to go cut a tree down to make it. I am very frustrated! If I could give zero stars I would. I know the holiday season is coming up and people are looking for deals and want to have furniture delivered for special occasions. DON'T GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!!!! They lie to you and tell you furniture is available for delivery but it's not. I ordered a bed set to be delivered for my da birthday on Dec 6th. I still don't have the furniture and they have changed my delivery date 3 times. I've put review on google and the owner responded immediately. I followed their instructions and emailed them the details of my account and have yet to have this situation fixed. Do yourself a Favor and go elsewhere for furniture especially during the holiday season and if you need your furniture ASAP. read more

Think twice before purchasing furniture from Ashley Furniture Sugar Land store. They easily took my money, but after the sale was made, they didn't really care when or if I received my furniture. Purchased furniture on March 17, 2021 and FINALLY received on May 26th. After multiple failed delivery attempts, the last straw was when they said they delivered my furniture and order was closed but I did not receive the delivery because I was out of town. After the "problem" was finally corrected, I never received a follow up call from the Customer Service Manager and they never did explain why they showed that my furniture had been delivered when it had not. If I had not pursued the matter, they would have kept my money without giving me my furniture. Their entire delivery process is horrible and needs to be changed. Beware! read more

I was never a believer of online reviews of stores, but I should have read about Ashley Furniture before going there to shop for mattress and furniture because everything I am reading now is what is happening to my delivery. I bought my furniture and mattress on 11/30/19 and promised a delivery date 12/09 and had the confirmation call for delivery on 12/06, I took off work for 12/09 to be home for the delivery, just to be called on 12/09 and get informed that part of my delivery wouldn't be available for delivery because it's not available, I didn't make too much as I know we were just coming off Thanksgiving holiday, so maybe that's why they don't have it in stock, so I reschedule for 12/20 and they still honor this date and again it's being pushed to 12/24. Today 12/24/19, I decided to call their customer service department to see if my delivery would be made today as promised again so I wouldn't sit here all day waiting for something that's not coming to my surprise they are not going to deliver my product again till maybe sometime in January again. At this point, if I could cancel this whole order and have them come and get their partial delivery they made I would be more than happier than getting it now. If I had known this would the trend I wouldn't have accepted partial delivery of my furniture. I am very disappointed and would never do business with Ashley again. This was the first and will be my last. I will never recommend this store for anybody not even my worst enemy and I mean that. read more

I ordered furniture during the Memorial Day sale and was given a promotion. It has now been a month since my furniture was delivered and going on a month and half since I placed the order and guess what I haven't received my promotion. However they had no problem sending me my first bill. It is ridiculous the amount of time I've had to waste and still have been with no solution in sight. Every time I go in they say the same thing, "sorry since we forgot to put in on the final order we submitted. We had to submit a request and they haven't even opened the claim". However they have no issue sending out marketing emails offering the same promotions for the Fourth of July as offered to me. I have been constantly given the run around and it's absurd! First it was check your junk mail it must be something wrong with your email. Then it's we don't know about that promotion call the bank. Then it's call Ashley's customer care. Then the truth comes out that they forgot to place the promotion. Then it's it'll get handled in a few days. I emailed after a week and half of not hearing back. No response. Then proceeded to go up to the store and got the same lie, "sorry we don't know when they'll answer our email about your fixing promotion". So buyers be aware any promotions offered to you, you most likely will not receive and they will play dumb when you try to receive what was promised! read more

Long story short....i will never buy from Ashley Furniture. Buying experience was fine, but delivery is an issue. 2 months out, i am still waiting for my order. I already spent 5 hours on the phone with the delivery team and got no where. I called my sales person and store manager, never got a return call. read more
