I've shopped here before. Should not have returned, but the quality of furniture appears to be very good. i have a problem with their sales people and office staff. This place is spooky. Was interested in information on mattresses. They had quite a selection, but was routed to an expensive model, before even shown the choices I had. Started out with one salesperson, but soon after another salesperson joined in. Who was this person? I thought he was a mngr assisting the new hire. No. Just another sales person. Bought this set with extended warranty a little over a year ago. It has been "serviced" under warranty. New cushions cut to prevent the rolling of fabric. Still rolls. Now height of sofa is so high my feet don't touch the ground and I'm 5'7". The fabric has pilled horribly which is not covered. The back pillows were plumped up with bagged filling which lasted about a month. Just so disappointed as we trusted our sales person who doesn't answer calls once purchase is complete. Ashley Homestore offers significantly better quality and aesthetics than does Sam Levitz (even though they occupy virtually the same space and use the same financing). I'm happy with the selection here; the furniture is very classy in my opinion and you can even style your home with the small budget items like rugs, lamps, throw pillows, etc. as each room is staged and every item is priced with a conspicuous tag. Financing is usually very accommodating (no interest for 6-12 months depending on your credit). They usually have everything on display in-stock and can deliver within the week. You'll usually pay on the order of moderate to pricey for any items found here. They have a wealth of associates that will assist you upon entering and I've never felt that they were predatory, as you might expect when the employees work off of commission. In fact, I appreciate that they only have approached me when I've shown clearly apparent interest. In my opinion Ashley is probably the best big-name furniture store in Tucson. I would not recommend Sam Levitz or Circus Furniture. read more

Pretty disappointed in my experience with these guys. I spent $2200 on a home entertainment center and for that amount of money I expect a pretty good experience, but getting this thing delivered and installed was a headache. Day of delivery: window for delivery was between 12 and 4pm. Truck shows up at 6:55pm and starts to unload. At this point I am told that one of the bookshelves is damaged and they would need to deliver a new one 2 days later. Delivery guy assures me that the appointment is set and I would get a confirmation call within 15 minutes. 2 hours later I call and they had to record of scheduling the appointment. Delivery #2: window for delivery is between 8am - 12pm, truck shows up after 1pm. 3 guys for the install that don't know what they are doing. Finally they get it put together and I notice right after they left that they had over screwed the bookshelf and damaged it on both sides. Email my salesman and some guy with crappy customer service calls me and scheduled the appointment for the next Monday. Delivery #3: Shows up in the middle of the time window and does the install. I had to explain to them how it had to go together. They were careful though and got it done. Conclusion: after calling and complaining I ended up getting 5% back which to me is nothing compared to 3 wasted days off waiting around for them. People spend their hard earned money, you would think that they would have trained drivers that know how to install the products and find a way to make it right as soon as possible. On Nov 14, 2023 I put a down payment on a couch. I was told that the couch I purchased would be in stock on Dec 10, 2023. I finished paying it off on Dec 7, 2023. I was then told after finishing my purchase, that the couch was on back order until mid December. Mid December came around and my salesman called me and said it would be end of Dec/early Jan. Every time I called, I would get the same excuse, still on back order. On March 8, 2024, the Asst. Manager called me saying that the couch was actually discontinued and blamed the previous owner (Sam Levitz) for the issue. I was told I could get my money back or get a different couch with the $781.54 credit I had. I went in the store the next day March 9, 2024, and picked a different couch. I had a difference of $78.07 owed to me after the purchase. The salesman told me he did not know who was sending out the refund checks, but it would be mailed to me. I still have not received that check for the difference of $78.07. On top of that, last week on the 21st of March, I received an email confirming the delivery of my couch for March 25th. The couch was not delivered and no one called me to tell me it wouldn't be delivered. After multiple unanswered calls to Ashley on March 25th, I finally spoke to someone and they said it would be another week for delivery. I've heard that before. So I went to Ashley Furniture on March 25th and asked for a return of my money, because I know longer wanted the couch due to bad customer service and constantly being told that my couch was on back order. I requested to speak to a manager/asst. manager 3 times and both employees I spoke to refused to get the manager for me. I recently had an issue with a bed foundation that I ordered, based on the recommendation of the online customer service representative who sold me my bedroom furniture. I did not require a foundation based on the type of bed I ordered. I spoke to several people before I finally reached the person who made sure that my order could be both returned and refunded appropriately. A gentleman by the name of Jason Davis, who is the Retail Customer Care Representative Lead, very patiently discussed the situation via email, and he always followed-up to provide me updates on the status of my request to return the merchandise. He sent very nice individuals to pick up my foundation, and he made sure I received a refund back to my payment source. Jason definitely lives up to the title of "Customer Care Representative Lead" and Ashley knew what they were doing when they hired him. Three years ago I purchased an entire bedroom set from Ashley Furniture/Sam Levitz. I had just purchased a new house and they delivered it and set it up for me. Fast forward three years, I had been sleeping in the bed but it had never moved from the spot they set it up and all of a sudden it was sort of dropping every time we got into bed. We moved the mattress and boxspring and found that the entire support system under the bed was broken. Not only was it broken, but because it broke it scratched up my hard wood floors to the point they are not fixable, I'll need to replace my whole floor in the room. I went back to Ashley to see if they could help direct me to a way to fix it. Turns out I had purchased the extended warranty and so they sent someone to my house to take a look at it. The person from Ashley Furniture told me that when they (Ashley employees) put the bed together, they put it together incorrectly. He advised me to call customer service in 2 days after he filed his report from the visit. When I called customer service two days later they were not helpful and in fact told me that it was my fault for choosing a bed with the type of support system I did. Who blames the customer during a call discussing what they caused this entire issue by not putting the bed together correctly? (In TWO PLACES!!!!!!) After a couple of weeks of considering my options, I decided to purchase a new bed using the credit they would give me for my set. I was hesitant to purchase it from Ashley again but the sales people were so nice and gave me every indication that they, and the store, would be on top of everything to "make it right". That was hardly the case. I picked out a new bedroom furniture set, a mattress and a boxspring. They lied about the amount they were giving me and the promotion going on at the time (that they didn't ever resolve with me to this day), they ordered a completely different headboard than what I chose, they tried to deliver it and I refused delivery...which come to find out they didn't even have the bed I picked out available to me. So I chose ANOTHER different bed. Then they tried to deliver the boxspring weeks after the purchase when it came in but they scheduled delivery without ever speaking to me and then just called about 15 minutes before they were at my door! The boxspring they brought in was damaged and clearly cut by razor or boxcutter. I refused delivery again. If I'm paying full price for this furniture, I expect it to be perfect. I also tried speaking to them about the credits for my old furniture and the promotion that I was told I received and they didn't have the answers and never called me back. I tried MULTIPLE times to call and leave messages for the manager of the store to call me and they couldn't be bothered to pick up the call. DON'T GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE on Pantano and Broadway. I am giving the store 5 stars because of the great service of a manager, Joel. He straightened out a messed-up situation, followed up repeatedly, and made me possibly want to come back to the store when I have something else to buy in the future. Had it not been for him the score would've been zero stars. (Yes. I know I would have had to give a minimum of one star.) If the big boy owners of this store are listening, let me make some suggestions. A customer should not have to wander and search through the huge store to find a salesperson. I even saw three salespeople standing together having a laughing conversation when they should have been looking around to make sure customers were taken care of. Also, there needs to be oversight to make sure purchases are actually ordered so the customer is not sitting at home foolishly thinking something is actually going to be delivered. Yes. You read that correctly. Furthermore, there is no excuse for a salesperson to order king-size mattress protectors for queen-size beds. This is called carelessness. I've been to Ashley's a few times now and can say I'm very pleased with the beautiful layout of the store, quality and variety of pieces as well as the polite associates. I hate how most furniture stores have vultures who follow you around & pressure you but the associates here were not like that at all. Upon walking in we were greeted by an associate who let us know he'd help us with any questions etc and after we said we were just looking around he eventually found us again after some time to check in with us, by then we knew more or less what item(s) we wanted. So far my family has purchased a bed, mattress, sofa, table, and chest here thus far and are very satisfied with the quality of all the items. Our more recent sofa purchase we needed before a family Easter party and one of the managers there helped us to ensure the item could be expedited to arrive on time before Easter at no extra cost! I was told it came with a box spring. when I got there, they had the mattress removed off the box spring and set up by itself. It's interesting to me that you can buy a mattress, not from Sam Levitz/Ashley Home Store, and they give you a 90 day to 1 year trial to decide if you like it. But, Ashley's gives you 24-48 hours to decide if you like something in your home. I bought a bed for my toddler. Once we got it home, I wanted to try it out for her but we have not really used it because I do not feel comfortable with how high it is off the ground. When I called today, the woman in customer service said that if it hadn't been delivered within the last 24-48 hours, they could not help me and I was stuck with it. Within the first few days we knew something was off and it's only gotten worse. As of now, screws are falling off of it and it has completely scratched our floor. After unrolling them at home, they were used, dirty and it was a rip-off. We also bought a new mattress with the agreement that they would pick up and take the old one. The price on the new mattress when up $70 at the time of purchase and the salesman tried to aggressively push some kind of pad which we didn't need. The King Tempur-Pedic Luxe Breeze mattress and mattress pad purchased have been great - soft, cool, and comfortable. The sheets, on the other hand, 2 sets at almost $800!!! were totally unnecessary and overpriced (thought they were necessary for the warranty to remain in place). The Tencel fabric doesn't slide easily and one has to yank to get the top sheet to move. The King pillowcases swallow the Queen size pillows purchased (Kings pillows are not available) so they have been ditched. So has the top sheet. Sheets purchased elsewhere are being used. The only sheet in use is the bottom sheet...pretty doggone expensive for 2 bottom sheets. In addition, the sheet has to be dried on delicate. Even with a top-of-the-line dryer, this takes well over an hour. The sales associate was nice; just beware of the sheet situation if purchasing this particular bed. read more

Time to upgrade the 20 year old sofar, we headed off to Sam Levitz/Ashley Homestore at Pantano and 22nd. The salesman was great. Then it took him 20 minutes to enter in the order details on two computer systems. Then he said he needed to get "manager approval" on a retail public store where the prices are clearly marked. He wouldn't waive the $40 delivery fee. The customer-hating cashier had to manually enter in the order on her version of two systems. She was rude, and unprofessional. The only two things she said amongst 10 minutes of "paperwork" was "cash or credit" and then a larger number. When I didn't know what she was saying and asked politely she got her anti-customer attitude on and said that was the total. Still she didn't get the credit card I was holding out Then she charged the card; I signed the slip. An equally hostile "assistant manager" showed up, her hands folded across her chest, and would not look us in the eye, talk to us, or so anything other than criticize the original cashier (who post signed-CC-sip was STILL typing away). I told her she was radiating hostility and she didn't even look up. It took us an hour and a half, the last half hour due to incompetence, 1970s systems, and rude cashier cage workers (oh yeah and the "assistant manager who should have been shown the door.) 14 days delivery. Then we got home, went to their website, ordered the same stuff, saved $500, got free delivery, and got the merchandise yesterday (no 14 day wait, no 30 minutes of paperwork, etc.) They should fire the people who clearly don't want to be there, fire the "assistant manager" who was useless, and allow their sales staff to order online -- much quicker than filling out pages and pages of stuff. Our salesperson -- Damon -- was great. The ladies with the attitudes scuttled that sale. We should have walked out at the first sign of "I don't like customers." Had such high hopes in this company. Heard nothing but decent word of mouth from former and current customers and decided to give them a try for a new mattress purchase for our new home. Walked in and we were amazed at such good quality furniture and helpful salesman. He took his time and got us situated with a new mattress to be delivered and we even got our credit limit increased--yay good credit lol! My wife took pictures of bed, tag and all because let's be honest-you can see one thing and get another...now here is where the issue begins and quite frankly the reason for 2 stars. Delivery 1-wrong mattress --we selected a hybrid latex firm and we got a memory foam and memory foam is what we 100% decided against due to the lack of comfort for us. To the point that the delivery guys tried to hide it from my wife seeing it. Unacceptable. This time I was beyond irate--called again and spoke to the manager (different one) and she took care of business--she called the warehouse and made sure it was the exact FIRM mattress we saw In store and she gave me her number to call if ANYTHING was amiss. Thank you to Lola for making sure it was right because 3rd time is a charm. Finally the correct mattress stain free was delivered and we are all set Until another manager called and asked that I edit my review on Facebook --so I did--I removed the tag and made my FB review visible to only friends --but let's be honest it had already circulated to anyone that needed to see it. Not sure how ethical it is for a company to ask me to edit a review if it's nothing but the truth...perhaps my profanity was uncalled for but the lack of accuracy I encountered for the first time deliveries for such a well known company blows my mind. If me "editing my review" cost me the compensation this last manager (not Lola) offered then so be it. Take pictures of everything!!! read more

Not the greatest experience. Bought an expensive king mattress, salesman wrote it up wrong and we got the wrong mattress. They did get the correct one out to us in a few days. Salesman sold us a mattress protector for $109 that was like slippery rubber mattress protector that you put in a crib. The sheets slipped all over the place. We were not told there is a 48 hour return policy on this and we were also not told that if we opened it, we couldn't return it. I was given a phone to call customer service and was told the same thing (after the fact) I asked for a manager but have not gotten a call back about this. Overall, this was not a good experience and I will not shop there again. read more

I want to start out by saying if I was just reviewing our sales person I'd give it 5 stars. Adriana was so helpful and knowledgeable she gave us space to explore but was there when we had any questions. I never felt like I was being "stalked" by her like we often do when in stores. She helped us make the best decision for our home and lifestyle. That being said--the delivery was a little less than satisfactory. We were supposed to get the sectional delivered on a Thursday. We received a call that Thursday morning saying that they only had 2/3rds of the couch available to be delivered that day. When I called back to clarify the details (since they had left a message) the customer service rep in the delivery service department was almost rude. She seemed annoyed that I was asking questions about the delivery. It was very off-putting. They delivered part of the sectional that day and stated they would call us at a later date to deliver the rest of the couch. (I do have to say the delivery guys were friendly and very quick and efficient--again I would give them, specifically, 5 stars). Since I didn't want to call the customer service department again and deal with the same rude individual as before, I emailed our sales person. Adriana got back to me fairly quickly to let me know she was on it and would make sure we had the rest of it that weekend. It was comforting to know I had someone on my "team." Long story short we DID finally get the rest of our sectional---at 9:30pm on that Sunday night. We were a little irked that it was delivered so late but grateful to have it all done. Again the delivery guys were apologetic for it being so late and were friendly and efficient. Overall, my experience with all the individual employees were good (except for the one individual in the delivery customer service department)...but something needs to be done about the logistics of their delivery, transportation and communication issue. read more

After doing my research online, I went to the Pantano store today to check out a couple of sleepers. Told myself to be ready for sales people to descend on me. I was ignored. A salesman saw me, but ignored me. Now, I was fine with wandering around a little on my own, but one does like to at least be greeted. The salesman saw me two more times, and ignored me. Apparently a woman on her own doesn't merit attention. Eventually I went to him and asked about a specific sleeper, and he did direct me to Sam's next door, said a sales associate would help me right away. I went next door to the outlet, where I was ignored by several sales people who walked right by me, even when I tried to catch their eye. Apparently I was wearing my Cloak of Invisibility. Finally the first salesman saw me still at sea and took me right to the sleeper I wanted to check out, gave me his card, answered my questions. I did get the service I needed. But it took 'way too long! read more

My experience beginning to end with this establishment has been a complete waste of time and money. I purchased a leather sectional from this place and not even a month after I got a tear on the stitched lining (which was from poor stitching/manufacturing) and had to call for it to be fixed. After has a "tech" come out and take pictures (which was two weeks after the initial tear) they sent in pictures and I got a call returned saying they wouldn't replace or fix because I had put tape over the tear, which I did so it wouldn't tear anymore! When I explained my actions they were not cooperative, and didn't understand why i put tape over a tear so it wouldn't tear more, seems like common logic... terrible costumer service, take your money else where to buy furniture for your home, this place is disappointing to say the least. read more

Enjoyed shopping this store. Has a great variety and selection to choose from. Don't miss the clearance area. Sales people we experienced are not clingy, but very helpful. The process is a bit convoluted (sales person, then cashier writes the order, then you pay them), but lots of communication along the way in regards to the order, the delivery etc. Just don't think you'll be in and out in minutes even to buy a set of lamps. read more
