I have been looking for a nice comfortable livingroom set and I recently purchased one from Ashley.  However, the display model had cushions with a wavy look. Since I have never seen that before and I did not like it or want it, I asked several questions about it.  After much discussion, the saleswoman went to the Manager to get clarity.  When she returned, she advised me it was an known issue and it had been corrected.  The store had not received the corrected cushions yet.  While I liked it, I did not purchase that day.  I returned a few days later and was told the saleswoman had quit.   I discussed the set with the salesman and again discussed the wavy cushions.  I was told the same thing.  Today I received the set and the cushions have the same wavy issue.  I was told they can get service on the phone and someone can come out to fix it, etc. I refused the set and called the Manager of the store.  The Manager said that is how the cushions come.  The two different sales people on two different days, who told me the exact same thing, were misinformed and it was an honest mistake.  While I was refunded my money, the entire experience feels like they will say anything to get a sale and let customer service deal with it on the backend.  Was it an honest mistake or deliberate actions?  I do not know for sure. Due to all of the issues I wrote the BBB, in hopes I would find some help. I want to go ahead and leave my review as well, so no one falls victim, like I did! Ashley Homestore has been a complete nightmare. I went into the store and purchase over 10,500 worth of merchandise. I purchased a mattress, table, 4 chairs, 3 stools, 2 dressers, 1 chest, a couch, an ottoman, patio table, 2 patio chairs, 1 patio sofa and two full bed sets (headboard, footboard and rails.). I was advised all of this would be delivered on September 11th and 21st, with setup included. On September 11, the team came to my home and had the incorrect chest, incorrect patio chairs and the table and dresser that was delivered was damaged, and 2 footboards were delivered for the same bed, therefore; the bed couldn't be put together. The team scratched a TON of my walls in the process of moving everything, this is a brand-new built home. Also, did not have a mask on at all during the delivery. On September 14, the team who handles the home damage contacted me and asked for pictures. I sent them. On September 15, I still hadn't heard back about the damage done to my home, or the damaged furniture so I reached out to customer service again. They advised that they do not have any delivery set up for the 30th, and that they do not know why the store advised this because the headboard wouldn't even be in stock until October 14. On September 16, more items were delivered. The patio chairs that they delivered, and the bed set, had missing parts, so they were unable to put it together. The bed also had cracks in it. September 24, they told me there is no chest coming, even though on my receipt I paid for it, and I have never been refunded. So as of today, September 24, I am still missing a headboard (my entire bed is still sitting on the floor) and a chest dresser, 3 of the parts of the furniture are still damaged, and my hallway is still damaged. 10/01/20 comes, and they show up at my house, again, with no masks. The hardware isn't here for us to set it up. 10/3/20 comes, no one advises when the chest will be delivered. They randomly show up, with the dresser, no masks and deliver it. They do not have the hardware for the bed though, which I was advised that they would. I call yet, again, "where is the hardware!!?" They tell me, "Oh another person is coming later today to do that." Why do I need two different "deliveries?" The man does show up, assembles the bed, and doesn't have a mask on. The received furniture from Ashley's is still damaged. On 10/8/20, I knew a tech was supposed to come out. However; on 10/7/20, I hadn't heard anything, so I wasn't really sure if they were coming. I had to call out of work, yet again. Around 7am on 10/8/20, I receive a phone call saying they'll be here form 10-1. No days' notice, no reminder, no nothing. The technician arrives and states he can only assist with the table and bed frame because the other damaged products are not on his order, which I do not know why, and he advised that I would need to call customer service for yet, another technician to be scheduled to come into my home. I called, of course, I received no answer. So now, I still have all of this damaged furniture and I do not even have a technician coming. Don't expect any post sale service from ashley. Warranty service is horrible. It is just waste of your time and money. Buying ashley furniture completely on your own risk. We bought a bed for $1.2K and after couple of months it started creaking. I called a technician and he identified 2 issues. One issue was with the frame and he tightened it. Another issue was with the box and he promised to report about it. 4 weeks later the frame started creaking again. I called to ashley service and they told me that they are going to order some lag to replace. When I asked about the issue with the box the girl over the phone said that technician hadn't told anything about the box. She scheduled a 2nd appointment to check this. Another technician came and he didn't even try to see where the noise come from! He just swapped the boxes and said that everything is under normal. He heard that the bed creaks but didn't try to do anything! He advised to call the service and disappeared! Next day I called ashley service and they told me that they can't do anything because they already sent 2 technicians and they made good photos of our bed. Nothing is broken on the photos so this is a "perception issue".I asked why then they were telling me they going to order a lag to fix the noise? The girl over the phone said that they were not going to order anything and they hadn't tell me that! Now we need to buy a lot of other furniture but not from ashley. Where to begin....our experience with our recent purchase has been terrible! We've tried going through the store and customer service to get help and they just don't seem to care! We still don't have part of our order after spending an entire day waiting around, calling customer service and the store several times. I purchased a desk and two bookcases in mid December. The delivery was scheduled for 12/30/18 (next day delivery is a joke!) and I confirmed delivery for 10-2 on that day. At 7:30 am the day of delivery I receive a text saying delivery would be between 8:30-12:30. I was annoyed, but got up and got everything ready. The truck showed up at 8:30, with two bookcases only. The driver stated that another truck would bring the desk. At 10:00 I called Customer Service to confirm that was indeed the case because nothing had arrived yet. The woman who answered said she was in Wisconsin, but would call the warehouse and look into it for us. She called back and said the truck was on its way to us. At 11:30 we had nothing. We called again and the woman apologized and said she would look into it again. She called back and said she had no idea what was going on. At around 2:00 we called the store and a girl said she would look into it. She told us the record showed everything delivered. I then called the salesman I bought the furniture from. He was too busy to call me back so he texted me and only wanted to communicate via text. He texted back and said they had pictures showing the order had been delivered. We told him, those were pictures they took of the bookcases, but that was all we had received. After back and forth texts, he basically left it at he had turned it over to Customer Service! At 4:00 we get a call stating that the truck was on its way with the desk, BUT...it's damaged! They said we could keep it if we wanted. My husband said maybe, depending on how bad it was, but only if a really good discount was offered for the damage and all the trouble. The van showed up, with two drivers who seemed nice enough, but spoke no English, which made it almost impossible to communicate the situation! The nice wood desk was laying on the side in the back...not covered, wrapped, nothing...with a huge, heavy box laying up against it! They slid it out of the van. It was damaged pretty badly. My husband called the company and was informed that the only thing they would do is send a tech out later in the week to try and fix the damage...no discount, nothing else offered. We told them to take it back! They called to reschedule delivery of a new desk...on Wednesday! The salesman, the store manager, customer service...no one called to follow-up and see what the end result was, apologize, nothing! Today I get a text thanking me for my purchase and asking how likely I am to recommend Ashley to family and friends! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I don't even have my stuff yet!!! I gave them a big fat 0! I get the automated response that they are sorry for not "exceeding my expectations" and they will be contacting me regarding my concerns. That was at NOON today! Seriously? Ordered dining room set- the order was supposed to be delivered by 7 PM no one arrived until after 9:30 pm- no call no apologies. Every piece of furniture arrived was damaged in some regard. We did not accept 3 pieces bc they were so badly damaged they sent a tech to work on the others. The tech related all the bar stools were assembled wrong as well as corrected multiple scratches. Had the worst time getting someone to communicate with us regarding the replacement furniture. IT WAS SO BAD WAS SO BAD I HAD TO DRIVE TO THE STORE AND DEMAND TO SPEAK WITH THE MANGER BC HE WOULDN'T ACCEPT OUR CALLS. He told me to call back the next day to speak to him that he would straighten it out- but then refused to take our calls and after 20 min on hold he put someone else on the phone to tell us we were ok to set a deliver date for the missing pieces. Well the missing pieces arrived today and every piece is damaged and 2 of the 3 pieces are assembled wrong. One chair has a leg that is 1/8 inch short. There is adhesive stuck on one seat that the delivery people can not get off (they tried). They won't send out someone for repairs for over a week and a half. When you pay thousands for furniture it should arrive perfect- understanding things get damaged in transport- the company should bend over backwards to get you a replacement that is in perfect condition like Rooms to Go does. If you want 2nd hand overpriced furniture and zero customer service then Ashley is your store- be prepared to clear as many as 4 days from work for unpredictable delivery times. Avoid At All Cost!!! I hate leaving bad reviews but Ashley Homestore customer service is just plain horrible. Ordered a kitchen table and 4 chairs. When delivered it was noted and documented that the table has 2 significant dents/chips as well as a couple of dings on the edge. There was also a knot in the wood on top of table which was filled with wood putty.This was reported immediately to vendor and a replacement was requested. Ashley responds that they will only send techs out to "repair" the damages and also I was to wait over 3 weeks for this to happen. I then requested a refund because I ordered a NEW product, not a damaged one that they could sell at full price and possibly repair. They refuse to accept the return of product for a refund. This is a totally unacceptable practice I would think for any buyers of merchandise. I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere for you furniture needs and if you have to make a purchase from Ashley, cross your fingers and pray it's received undamaged. We spent about $3,000 on a living room sofa. We were also urged to buy the protection plan for about $250. Well, it has been about 2 years and 2 mo.s. We have four cracks that are about 3-4 inches long, and the leather is peeling/discoloring in different places. We went to the store, and they told us several different stories. Finally, we got someone to come out to look at it only to find the protection plan, nor the store will cover the problems. I will NEVER buy furniture from Ashley again! Buyer beware! read more

I purchased a rocker recliner on 10/20/2021 from Ashley Furniture HomeStore . Chair OK, until 6 weeks later I started to have a back ache. Looked at chair seat and it had sunk 3 inch on one side. Called Ashley Customer Service and they sent out a new cushion and scheduled a Tech to come out and fix chair. Tech came on 12/11/2021 and repaired chair. Six weeks later same problem. Tech came on 02/03/2022 and said it was a customer usage problem. Called Ashley Customer Service to send another tech to fix problem. Tech came on 03/02/2022 could not fix chair said it was a manufacture problem. Many calls and chats with Ashley Customer Service later they said Ashley would replace chair. Not an option as this was my, one and only purchase with Ashley and getting another chair from them was not acceptable. I wanted a refund. Agent said refund policy was only given within 3 days of purchase. Escalated and they agreed to a refund. I would receive it in 7 to 10 business days. No refund came. Called Ashley Customer Service and they said refund had to be approved by Store I purchased chair from. On 04/29/2022 called store and manager said they would not do refund. The items were scheduled to be delivered on a certain day and we would be called to confirm. No I be called by noon of delivery date so I called them. They told me the items were to be 3 days later than the promised date. I had a very nice salesman and I bought on Super Bowl Sunday and promised to deliver on Super Bowl Sunday. They did but a rushed job and they didn't have half the parts and then they stripped out the side they did do. I called Monday and left 2 messages for them to call me. I waited until Thursday called an addressed with the manager who was very nice, but I had to drive 28 miles round trip and lost a windshield in the process. Once home I hired a person instead of waiting for their tech 2 weeks out. Talk is cheap takes money to buy rum. Buy local like I did for the rest of the house. We ordered a sectional couch. Waited 2 weeks for delivery. All 5 pieces delivered were damaged. We refused the furniture. We went back to the store, was told this "never" happens, to give them a second chance, we did. We ordered another sectional. This also was delivered damaged. I called the store to speak with a manager immediately after refusing the furniture again. I was told all managers were busy and that I would receive a call back. A call back NEVER happened, in fact I called 3 more times. Each time the receptionist was extremely RUDE and told me that the manager was busy. I bought a bed frame on a sale. First they did charge me non sale price, they add a protection which I did not wanted. I was told it will be return to my account but they never did. They deliver the wrong item!. The store rep said they do not take stuff back. I have to send the furniture to the warehouse. Luckily I have a van, otherwise I would paid for rental because they do not take the furniture back and I would've paid out of pocket for their mistake. They may return the cost of the item but not the protection plan so be vigilant about it. Finally they were willing to return it after multiple phone calls. We are coming up on 3 weeks since this issue was first reported. We have called customer service more than half a dozen times. Each time they say they have to talk to management and will call us back by the end of the day. You guested it, they NEVER call back. We reported them to BBB over a week ago and still no response. They obviously don't give a rats ass out about what happens once the product is in your house. whether it is the right or wrong item is of no concern to them. They have lost our business forever. The customer service is awful. We ordered a dining room table set that we were putting together ourselves and part of the bench was cracked in the box. I immediately called customer service and was told someone would contact me within 24 hours of the delivery and got hung up on. No one called me. I called the store and one of the sales reps had to make an appointment to have someone come out and see if it needs to be repaired or replaced. I told her that I do not want a repair, I want a new piece because that's what I bought. Anyway, I had to wait almost 2 weeks for someone to come out just to look at it. Fast forward to today and the tech comes out and orders the replacement pieces for the bench instead of a whole new bench, which is ok, but now I have to wait another 3 weeks for the parts to come in to be able to have a full dining set and we had bought the table so that we had enough room for people to sit down during an upcoming party. Disappointed in Ashley's for not caring that they sent out broken furniture and having no sense of urgency to fix it. Will never shop there again. read more

One would think if you want people to be a customer of your business and to continue to be a customer, then you would do your absolute best to make that customer happy, treat them with respect and if they spend money in your store, then make them want to return. Not if your name is Nichelle or Orlando, or most of anyone in that store (Land o Lakes Florida) No, when there is something promised to you, they don't follow through, when they screw up, they don't even begin to try to fix their screw up, when you show them when, where, and how they screwed up they deny it, try to hide from you, and or just treat you like dirt. Also, when you are told they will call you back, you wait on that call all day and they don't even make an effort to call you, that just makes you hate your store more. I called back to speak to one of the salesmen who told my wife about a discount he was going to do, then wind up over charging us for, he hides like a coward and has yet to return my phone call. What a lousy, horrible store, horrible lead of management and leadership. In short, your store and 99% of your staff is trash. Be aware: The sales person may tell you the office staff needs to verify your Ashley credit card (issued by Synchrony bank) to ensure it's not being used fraudulently (seems plausible) and then the office worker will "verify" your card (and must present two forms of ID - DL & another cc) and then your information is documented on a piece of paper WITH your available credit written down, too, to give to the sales person. Hmmmmm. Seems a covert (and unethical) sales tactic. This made me really uncomfortable. read more

I have to vent for a second I bought a big (leather) sectional at Ashely furniture almost a year ago. Over the weekend I noticed one of the headrest is starting to peel for the third time last 2 times they came out and replaced the chair this time I have had enough. I called them today to get my money back and they said the most they can do is give me a store credit. I informed them that why in the world would I want to buy anything from their store if all I will get is fake leather couches. I urge everyone to not buy anything from them total rip off. I guess I should have read the reviews on the Wesley Chapel store before I bought! Sales and delivery staff were fine. But it all broke down when the pegs were not delivered for my bookcase. The delivery staff called the customer service and told them of the missing pegs and a small scratch on the desk. He informed me that customer services would be calling me and setting up an appointment at my convenience since it was their fault. HA! This was November 5 and the earliest appointment would be November 29th! I called to talk to the manager and it has been 24 hours without a call back. I went out and bought my own pegs and repair kit to fix the scratch. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! read more

They have great furniture but the process is extremely painful. I recently purchased a new house so I needed lots of furniture. I made 3 separate purchases and each purchase was the same. When it comes time to pay you feel like you are buying a new home with the gigantic a out of paperwork I had to sign. For a moment I thought I was closing on a new home. Now on the availability. Every time there is always an item on back order or they had it in the show room and it was discontinued...very frustrating. But even more frustrating when they don't tell you when you are buying it and then the delivery shown up and tells you they don't have it in their truck because it is in back order. I love Ashley's furniture but like I said, extremely frustrating to have to be there as just as long as being in a car dealership. read more

This place is amazing!!! My wife and I have been customers of Ashley Furniture since we bought our first home. We have always found great quality at a price that is competitive with the other places. 3 houses later, we still find ourself looking for the nearest Ashley Store. Well, we feel very fortunate that nearest one to us now is this one in Wesley Chapel. The sales associate (Victoria) went above and beyond for us; even came over on her day off to help us find the perfect set. And the manager, Rich Bogle, helped ensure that we left the store very, very happy with our visit, since he heard that the movers company we hired brought "garbage" instead of our furniture (the movers damaged everything and even lost ALL of our mattresses). I can't say enough about how great this place is and I definitely recommend them to everyone!!! read more

He went above and beyond and provided exceptional client service and we would recommend him for all your furniture needs. Ashley did not have the mattress we were looking for but again with exceptional service from the general manager Basil Francis they were able to locate the one we wanted so we could get everything at once and at one location. I would highly recommend Ashleys to anyone that's looking for furniture but yes you get what you pay for.
