My wife and I decided to stop by to see what they had for sale. We just purchased a new house and needed furniture. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Richard, who is a sales representative. He was really great! He allowed us to look around and occasionally came up to us to see if we had any concerns or questions. Honestly, my wife and I just wanted to see what they had. We accidentally stumbled upon this place because I had to take a U-turn and that's when we decided to go into this store. Richard broke down the promotions they were having and how the sales worked. He, basically said "the more you buy, the more you save". Which makes sense. My wife and I needed a few things so, we picked out dining room table with 6 chairs, a 3 piece sectional sofa and a platform for our king sized mattress. He ran the numbers and went and spoke to the manager. I believe the manager's name is Ahmed, who was very polite and professional as well. We basically received $6,000 worth of merchandise for about $4,300. We received such a great deal and some really nice furniture. I also like that there is 3 years no interest financing. This was a big plus for us. They told us it would be 3-4 weeks for delivery. I waited until it arrived to write this review. They arrived when they said they would. 2 guys delivered everything, and assembled it all. They were very quick and careful moving the pieces into the house. They took all of the extra packaging and wrapping for the furniture that we didn't need. I highly recommend this place and will be returning to get some more furniture in the future.- read more

Ashley Furniture delivery my master bedroom set without a mattress and I had to wait a week for a bed. I was told they can't cancel orders once placed, so my daughter and I had to sleep on an air mattress. I was suppose to recieve my mattress in addition to my daughter bedroom set on the following wednesday and the delivery was canceled and the last minute, after my husband requested to be off work. I was then scheduled for delivery on the saturday, August 8th, and when the truck arrived my daughter headboard was broken and the forgot her mattress set. I spent over $8,000 for our new home to be disappointed. I purchased at the woodbridge, VA location because it was close to home, but never again. As of today, no one has called to schedule delivery for my missing furniture! read more

NO RATINGS! POOR!! I purchased a bedroom set from this location over 4 years ago. The mattress now has lots of sinkholes. I contacted the store and shared my concern and the warranty. I received a call back from Tammy (last name unknown). She stated that I could get the same mattress replaced or come into the store and pick out a new one. My family and I decided to go view other mattresses on 6/27/2015. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a sales team member who stated that I could be assisted by the General Manager, Rod Boyd. Rod tried to sell us a top of the line temperpedic mattress that was outside my price range and the initial warranty to replace it. I informed him that I simply needed my mattress replaced. After an hour process, I finally made a selection and was informed that someone would contact me for delivery. The mattress was in stock. I did not receive a call until AUGUST. I set up the delivery for 8/22/2015. On 8/22/2015, the mattress was delivered warped and wet. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTED. I returned both the mattress and box springs. I received a call from ASHLEY that a new mattress will be ordered and a follow up call will take place from Tammy on 8/27/2015. I have not heard from her to this date. I went to the store and spoke with Rod Boyd within a few days from the delivery, to share about my delivery experience and concern. He apologized and stated that he will look into it and follow up as well on 8/27/2015. I never heard from him. I called the store today, 9/3/2015 to find out the status of my mattress. The customer service rep stated that they were in and can deliver on Tuesday, 9/8/2015. I will be contacted later on a delivery time. I would give them zero stars if possible. My experience with them was just HORRIBLE!!! Sorry for the long post but the experience with this store was so bad that I needed to share all the details. They are the reason why I decided to open an Yelp account. Me and my husband went to Ashley Furniture in Woodbridge a month ago to get some living room furniture. The first time we went there we had a good experience and that is why we decided to go for the second time. Huge mistake on our part. We saw a couch and a loveseat in the showroom that we liked but after looking at the catalog we saw a similar set but with different model for the arms. We ended up ordering from the catalog what was supposed to be a couch and a loveseat with the same sizes, fabric and color with one that we saw in the store. Again, we were assured that the only difference is the arms of the two pieces of furniture we bought. After we ordered the furniture plus an ottoman and a matching chair we received the estimate. It seemed to be a little higher than we expected and the salesman told us that is because $300.00 or $400.00 (I don't remember exactly) was the warranty cost. I asked what kind of insurance/warranty is this and he explained that in case the furniture brakes, or is stained, ripped etc. they will fix it for us. We politely declined this insurance since we are really careful with our furniture, we have no pets or kids, etc. Also, I work for a property management company where we have cleaning companies that can help me with the furniture. The moment we declined the insurance the general manager came to us and he tried to explain us the benefits of the insurance again. We politely declined again and then when the nightmare started. The manager started rolling his eyes, raising his voice and talking to us like we are stupid. We have an accent that is true, but we don't think with one. We perfectly understand english and we don't need to have people yelling at us just because we refused to buy a service that they offer. We explained him that we have other vendors that can help us cost free, since I work with them everyday and his reaction was: "If somebody touches our furniture we are not going to help you". First of all, the moment we pay for the furniture it is ours not his, second we just declined their help, so I don't need to be yelled at for that. I was so upset of the way he treated us that I said that maybe we should go somewhere else and buy the furniture and he said that yes, maybe we should. I was so shocked that I guess I couldn't react. I can't understand how a company like Ashley can have managers treating their clients like this and inviting them to buy from somewhere else. We have the right to refuse a service that we have to pay a lot for and we don't need to be humiliated like this. I am happy I didn't purchase the warranty after I read the reviews online regarding this service. We decided to go ahead and buy the furniture since we were already half way with the process and also so tired to go somewhere else. BIG MISTAKE!!! Next day I looked online and the prices for the ottoman and chair were lower than the ones in the store but it was already too late. After 2 weeks we received the furniture. The couch and the loveseat that were supposed to be beige ended up being light green, the chair had crooked legs. I was told that the couch and loveseat would be exactly like the ones in the store except the arms who have a different model, but same beige color. But I didn't expect them to be green. I was sooo disappointed!!! They don't match with anything in my living room! After we were treated like that now the furniture has a different color. It was impossible to reach them the same day we got them and we didn't know what to do so kept them instead of returning them with the delivery company. Next day when I was able to speak with them they told me that if I want to return them I have to pay the shipping fee again ($140.00, which I already paid for them to deliver even though most companies have furniture delivered for free), and they will charge me 30% of the furniture's price and I will receive the difference as store credit. So my options are either to loose $1000.00 and go back to the store where we have been humiliated and spend some more money or keep the furniture that doesn't match my living room. I would never ever go to this store again. My experience with them was horrible, I was humiliated, cheated, ripped off, lied to. Worst experience with a store ever. I will tell my story about them everywhere. Buying furniture was supposed to be a nice experience, we do not afford to buy new furniture everyday so this was supposed to be a happy moment for us. I agree with the person who said "Once they make a sale to you, forget it". Their service is terrible . We waited 1 month for a bed after the salesman and manager told us it'd be delivered "Asap--at least in 3-4 days". They delivered the wrong parts to our house twice. PHone calls did nothing to change this. They pretend to be so concerned with you just to sell their products. Then, they literally don't deliver. Avoid this company at all costs. Moving in a week and came into Ashley with my roommate to browse the showroom. While looking around we were approached by Antron, who we found to be super knowledgable and helpful in finding pieces that complement our taste and budget! Not once did he make us feel pressured to make a purchase, especially evident when we realized the furniture we wanted to buy wouldn't be available from their distribution center in time. Antron just proceeded to help us figure out how to get the pieces in the state we're moving to! Caveat Emptor-Let the buyer beware. I should have gone elsewhere. On Feb. 14, 2016 I was looking online for a sofa bed, saw one that I really liked as well as 2 chairs at Ashley Furniture. I called the store and was advised to come in and pay for them. No worries, I live 5 minutes away. I am glad that I went in because I saw 2 chairs that I liked better. The salesman even gave me the online price which, was better than the price the store was advertising. On Friday I received a call from their distribution center to set up a delivery time because the furniture was in stock. I decided to pick it up myself because I wanted to get rid of my old furniture. I rented a truck, took my old sofa to the dump and headed to the distribution center. They were courteous and helpful and brought out the 2 chairs right away. There was a problem finding the sofa bed because, "oops our mistake, we have the sofa but not the sofa bed". In any case they could order it and they waived the delivery fee. I was a bit disappointed, especially since I now had no couch but I took the 2 chairs and went home. The chairs are absolutely lovely. 6 weeks later, I receive a call from the distribution center advising that my sofa bed is in stock and setting up a delivery time. They arrived on time, knocked on the door to make sure someone was home and went to get the sofa bed. It seemed to be taking a while for them to bring it in (I live on the ground floor of a garden apartment so no stairs or elevators). My son went out to see if they needed assistance and saw that they had dropped the sofa on the ground and broken it. I don't know if they were trying to figure out a way to tell us or, to figure out a way to hide the broken pieces and go ahead with the delivery. We refused delivery and they went on their way. I called the distribution center, advised them that their delivery men broke the couch and, advised them not to reorder it since I was not going to wait another 6 weeks to get a couch. Called the store, no call back, went in, spoke with the manager who advised someone would call me to process the refund. Why they had to call when I was right there with my credit card, I don't know. Oh wait, yes I do, because they did not want to GIVE A REFUND. Nothing to date, no call, no refund. I got a call on Thursday advising they were reordering the sofa. WHY, WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED THEM NOT TO, I DON'T KNOW!! I disputed the charge with my cc company, ordered a sofa bed with Jennifer convertible that was $20.00 more and it was delivered in 1 week, the 6th of April, 2016. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We bought a bed set from here before we PCS'd to California back in April..it was delivered to our house in May the same day the movers came to pack our stuff. When we arrived In California in June we were unpacking the bed and when we opened all of the boxes we realized they had given us the wrong footboard. The numbers were off by just a little bit which is an honest mistake...we have contacted Ashley's since June and have been getting the run around. When someone answers the phone they say "I'm new so I don't know what to do but I'll take your number and pass it to the manager" and of course we never get a call. Out here in California there is nothing they can do because it's not a chain store. We have asked this store to give us a credit in the amount of the footboard back to our Ashleys credit card so that we can make the purchase out here, but they refuse to do so! Avoid this store at all costs. They only care about their own commission and not the customers. Pretty sad that we've spent at least $10,000 in that store and my son is on the floor because they aren't willing to credit us the $249 it costs for the footboard. read more

It is no wonder that there are so many reviews with one stars on Ashley Furniture in Woodbridge, VA and Fredericksburg, VA. How they stay in business is beyond me. I brought a sofa 5 years ago from the store in Woodbridge. It is a power recliner sofa, with a 5 year warranty that ran out in May 2018, well guess what, the 2 power buttons went broken one week after the warranty ended. Except for being broken, this sofa looks brand new, as I took very good care of it and did not abuse it. Inasmuch as I was the only one using the sofa, the right power button was not even used, so why would it have went out. Most likely defective from the get go. Ashley told me that because their furniture is unique to Ashley, only parts from the distribution center for Ashley should be used for the repair. I paid $75 for a repairman to come to see what the problem was and he said the motors for both were bad and he would check with Ashley to see if parts were available. Well guess what, the parts are no longer available inasmuch as the sofa is no longer being sold by Ashley. In addition the repairmen told me that even if he was able to get parts, the cost would be about $300 and his labor would be $200. Additionally, only a 1 year warranty would be on the parts. I have made several phone calls to both the Woodbridge and Fredericksburg store asking that a little customer care compensation be granted to me in the way of having the sofa removed from my house and taken to the dump. The cheapest place that I found that would take a broken sofa, is going to cost me $150. I asked Ashley to refund me that cost and they said oh we cannot do that. NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN! I would give it 0 starts if I could. I have never experienced such poor customer service the way I did at this store. I had ordered two of the same lamps and when I picked them up from the store ( which didn't come the day it was expected to) I opened it once I got home and they were two different lamps. I took it back to the store ( the same day!!) and wanted a refund. The store manager AHMAD was disgusting with his words and was yelling at me in front of everyone telling me that he won't take them back because I had already taken them home. HE IS CRAZYY!!. If you have a customer service issue make sure you don't speak to AHMAD, he will start yelling at you and will make sure you don't get what you want. Also, the "office manager" Valeri was rude as well and she has the worst attitude. Like most reviews I would have given Ashley Furniture zero stars. On my first visit we selected three new beds for my children and new living room furniture for the house. When we sat down to discuss costs, the salesman and I agreed to prices with added store discounts. When I went to pay for the furniture the price was over $800 higher then what was discussed. The store manager, Ahmed, response was I cannot just give away furniture. At this point I walked out. Less then 45 minutes later another one of the store personnel, Richard contacted me and apologized for the mistake made by the salesman and made amends by providing more discounts. I was amendable to the offer and purchased the furniture a week later. When I paid for the furniture we scheduled a delivery day for the following Thursday, 13 Oct. The night prior I had not received a call for a a time frame for the delivery, I called the store and was told my delivery was pushed back to the end of October. I told them this was unacceptable because based on the scheduled day I had gotten rid of my old furniture and now my kids had to sleep on the floor. The next morning I called back to the store and talked to Reggie, another manager who had done research and now the beds would not be available until December. Again, I reiterated that this was not acceptable and that if they had contacted me to tell the furniture delivery was delayed I would not be so upset. The options offered to me was to refund my purchase or purchase a lower quality beds for my kids. They also placed blame on how their warehouse made the mistake. I told them it did not matter where the issue was. They did not want to accept responsibility and kept pointing fingers. In the end I got my money refunded. There hope was I would go away quietly was the order was canceled. WRONG! The owner is Micheal Trivett and his corporation is TT&C One LLC. They own 11 Ashley Furniture in the area as well as Trivett Furniture in Fredericksburg, VA. I have contacted both the corporation and the owner with no response. Not surprising considering how poorly run the store operates. In the end I ended going to Bob's Discount Furniture where I was able to purchase better quality furniture at much better prices. The sale personal were very nice, not pushy and did not follow you around like a hawk. Again, I want to strongly recommend DO NOT PURCHASE OR DEAL WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE. read more

I too wish I could give a ZERO star for this location! To start, I could have brought the same furniture from REGENCY for a lot less with a 4 day delivery. This place made me wait 4 WEEKS! Then once I paid someone got hold of my credit card and charged hundreds of dollars online. Thankfully my banking institution flagged it and contacted me. Ashley is the only place I ever used this card. The store manager Ahmad Hady could care less! Put me in touch with Deanie Ferrell who's number didn't work. I was finally promised the first delivery stop of the day and if that's true they must not show up for work until noon because here I still sit with no furniture. I have had better buying experiences buying from the back of a pickup truck on the side of a road. One of the worst service that I have ever seen in my entire life.I will never recommend no one to visit this store. we bought a small furniture set and salesman told us the final price after discount. we paid and informed them that we will be picking up from their warehouse in fredricksburg. After bringing our merchandise at home we found only small piece of furniture and two other pieces of furniture were missing. we immediately try to contact store and after long time some one responded and told me that she needs to verify with salesman. After I did not hear for couple of hours I decided to call again to check ? Sales man finally responded and apologize that it was his mistake and the price what we paid was just for a small piece of furniture not a complete set.He did say that he was sorry . I requested that I need to speak with the manager and she was also not helpful. she told me to bring back the merchandise and get store credit not even refund.I told her I will never comeback to your store and if you will not refund my money I will be taking professional help. Ashley offers good quality furniture; however, the customer service and delivery offered requires major overhaul. Twice I've purchased furniture from the Woodbridge, VA location and twice I've been very disappointed with customer service and the delivery process. If you're going to charge customers delivery, the experience should not require inconveniencing the customer beyond the agreed upon time of delivery. Today I was to take delivery of two chairs. The delivery man called and announced that he was 15 mins out. Two & half hours later, the guy shows up and claims his tardiness was due to the previous customer. I guess he forgot that he'd called and said he was 15 mins out. One of the two chairs delivered had to be returned because the legs off balance. Okay, not the delivery man's fault, but when I called customer service to report the discrepancy, I was placed on hold for over thirty minutes, only to be asked to hold because she had "a customer standing in front of me." Eventually, I was dropped from the call. So I'll start the process over in the morning. BLUF, Ashley's furniture is good, but Havety's delivery and customer service is better. Maybe it's simply the Woodbridge, VA location...I don't know, but my advice, find another Ashley's and/or go to Haverty's. read more

I was hesitant to purchase any furniture locally due to a recent experience of poor service from one of Ashley's competitor's. However, the service our family received from Brandon at Woodbridge, VA Ashley's Furniture store was exceptional. When we purchased our order, it could not be completely filled or delivered at the same time. However, I received follow-up calls from Brandon on our bedroom set. Within the 10 days promised by Brandon, the complete bedroom sets was delivered! The delivery personnel was excellent and on-time. Brandon made all the difference in the world! I received my furniture on 3/5/16. of course it was damaged. I have been going back and forth with customer service about this chair. It still isn't resolved as of 4/5/16. They think it is. I paid for a new chair and I receive d a damaged one. I was told their policy is to just repair the furniture not replace it. After a month of this I just want them to come pick the chair up, but they won't. What ever you do do not buy your furniture from this store. If you do and your furniture is damaged you are stuck with it. read more

Update: After the response from their customer service department to this review, I sent an email and have heard nothing back. It would appear as though the team responsible for making sure it appears as though they're doing something does a good job, but the people at the customer service department don't seem to be much better than the manager that won't return our calls. Buyer beware...I set up an order with Ashley Furniture in Woodbridge a little over a month ago. The purchase order was for a bedroom set and a sectional. The original delivery date was scheduled for the 22nd of March. My wife and I received a call a day or so prior to the original delivery date stating that the chase portion of the sectional was not in yet and pushed the date of the delivery back to April 8th. At the time, we figured "Hey, things happen so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt". That was a mistake. On the 7th of April we got notified it would be another week and they would call on the 15th with a status update. On the 15th of April we didn't receive a call so we called that Saturday to find out what was up. When we spoke to customer service, the representative told us that the chase section was not even scheduled to be built until June of this year and delivered to the warehouse on the 29th of June which means we would even receive the furniture until July. My wife attempted to cancel the sectional at this point because waiting several more months is unacceptable at this point given that we were originally told the 22nd of March and to date we had received NONE of the furniture. The representative put us in contact with the General Manager who told us that he was going to check in with corporate to find out if the build date was correct and get back to us that day. The rest of Saturday passed as did Sunday with no call. On Monday we assumed he blew us off and called back. The rep we spoke to then stated he was with a customer and would call us back. Fast forward to Tuesday where we still haven't received a call. Tuesday was the same story, so at this point to recap 1. Set up purchase order early in March, financed $4,500 and paid about $500 to order the furniture for delivery on March 22nd 2. Delivery pushed back to April 8th 3. Delivery pushed back to April 15th 4. Delivery pushed back to July (they hope) 5. General Manager ducking our calls and refusing to call us back. Still trying to get this resolved, but at this point it seems like a bait and switch scam. Do not buy from this company, they will take your money, not deliver, and when you try to contact them they will ignore you. From a consumer standpoint you could just as easily flush the money down the toilet and save yourself a trip to this store because at least at that point you will have saved yourself the cost of the gas to drive to the store. read more

I would give this 0 stars if It would let me. But I will never be going back to this Ashley's EVER again! Me and my spouse went in to simply look around and got hounded by a sales associate who wouldn't leave us alone, trying to pressure us into getting things when we simply wanted to look. Then proceeded to royal screw up the application prices resulting in having to wait over a week to receive our synchrony cards before we could do the sale. This associate didn't even seem like she knew what she was doing at this point. Then everything was supposed to be delivered on a Wednesday between 10am-3pm. Delivery people never showed, we got the confirmation for the delivery but nothing after that. So we call the store that evening and come to find out our stuff was never put on the truck to even be delivered. So then we had to sleep on the floor another night because we didn't get the bed when it was supposed to be delivered. And then we didn't get our pillows we ordeeed so we had to go back to the store again the next day to figure out what happened with those and the sales associate then ordered the wrong pillows completely!!! Now at this point we were promised the pillows by Friday and they weren't even there Friday when they were supposed to be so we had to come back on Saturday. But wait there's more!! Yep, turns out they even sent the wrong pillows from the other store they were sent from. At that point we just took the pillows and said we would never go back to that Ashley's. But at this point after everything and all the hassle to get one bed and two pillows I don't think I even want to give my business to an Ashley ever again!!! read more

Sure wish I would have read these reviews before I purchased. Same situation. Furniture on back order. With diligent follow up, I was able to ascertain that the furniture made it to the warehouse and someone would be calling me for delivery. Truck only delivers to my area on Fridays, so I just called to find out why I haven't been contacted for delivery and was told that the truck was already full. I'm sorry - when I have been waiting for furniture that has been on back order for over a month, I expect to be a priority. Called customer care and they were extremely RUDE and not even the slightest bit helpful (actually downright sarcastic). I will not be available the next Friday the truck will be in my area, so looks like I will be waiting another 2 weeks for delivery, IF, they can make room for it on the truck. With this kind of customer service, Ashley Furniture should just close now. I will NEVER try to purchase another piece of furniture from them and will make sure to spread the word of their poor customer service everywhere I can. Very short version of my story: ordered a couch and chair beginning of April, was told it would take 3 weeks. Met with a very nice sales lady, I was so glad because the rest of the salesmen felt like swarming vultures. When I made my decision we went to the back to fill out paperwork and was met by the absolute rudest woman who completely put down the sales person, this made for an extremely awkward and uncomfortable situation, but I let it go. I told my mom and best friend about the sales lady and they both went; my mom bought a new bed and my friend bought a new living room set... You're welcome for the extra business. They were so happy because my mom got her bed in one week and my friend got hers after two. I called 3 weeks later after never getting a call or hearing from anyone and was told I wouldn't get the furniture until the end of June. Imagine how disappointing, being as it is absolutely ridiculous to wait 3 months to get furniture (and especially having to be the one to seek out the info). I asked to choose a different one. I went in the next day and found a new sofa, where we experienced the horribly rude lady again and witnessed two employees yelling across your showroom about how one disrespected the other... again more awkwardness at Ashley Furniture. When we were FINALLY done I was told the furniture would be in in 2 weeks... Two weeks would have been last week. Turns out your lovely company was calling my mom to deliver the couch. When my mom, who should not be involved at all, called back they told her that neither of us had deliveries and it was a mistake. I called the next day and found out that it was indeed a call for me but they had been calling the wrong number. I told the woman I spoke with that they had been calling the wrong number and I was originally told my sofa would be delivered the next day, which was Saturday. Your company only delivers to my area every other Saturday, so it had to be that day or I'd have to wait two weeks. This is completely ridiculous, which I stated to her. She said she'd do a special delivery this Saturday (today), since it was too late at that point to get it delivered on the day I was promised, but I haven't heard from them. Turns out they've been calling my mom AGAIN, even though they said they had corrected that issue last week. I tried to call them back but their answering machine cuts off after 10 seconds, so it's pretty hard to leave a message. I've tried calling this morning because they say that they open at 9, but that's apparently a lie as well. I have no idea if my couch is coming today, so I guess I'll waste some more of my time on this beautiful Saturday and hope that your company can finally get it together. I have never experienced such a horrible experience and have already begun to spread the word about what a horrible ordeal I've had with this company. I promise you I will never step foot into another Ashley Furniture and will do my best to make sure anyone I know who is looking for furniture will go elsewhere! read more

If I could give less than one star, I would! This was the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I bought a whole apartment full of furniture ($6,000.00) on Feb. 25 and 26, 2017. I was assured it would all be in by March 16, so I went ahead and rented an apartment. When I called on March 16 to schedule a delivery, I was told that it would now be the 23rd before the furniture was in (except the TV stand which wouldn't be in until April 10.) That made me mad enough. But when I called on the 23rd to schedule delivery, I was told that my bedroom furniture was not in yet. In fact, it would be coming one piece at a time on several different days. The last part to come would be the bed rails, and they wouldn't be in until April 9! So I am now paying rent on an apartment I can't live in because I HAVE NO FURNITURE!!! I have called the store and the regional Customer Care office, but my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. No one is willing to help. I would NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again. My advice to anyone needing furniture is to stay far, far away from Ashley Furniture. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...it took a whole month for my dresser and vanity to be delivered. My dresser had scratches everywhere and the drawers were not aligned properly bc they wouldn't shut properly. I went to the store and they told me they couldn't do anything about it. Finally, they had scheduled a technician to come and fix my dresser on a Saturday. I get a call saying that the technician will not be able to make it. I called customer service and they asked me if I could reschedule Monday. I said NO I am not taking of work for something that should have been done right the first time. They rescheduled me for the next Saturday. The technician came and stated that my dresser cannot be fixed at the moment because he needs to order new drawers and that it looked as if someone dropped my dresser and tried to put it together because clearly it was not on correctly. I had to call customer service bc they never gave me a call and I told them that I need a new dresser bc I'm suppose to be paying for something that is BRAND NEW, not something that is DAMAGED! They told me that they are not sure how to proceed bc they need to talk to the technician... it's been 3 MONTHS now.. very Unacceptable.. My husband and I went to all the furniture stores in the area and Arlington starting with this one. We worked out all the deals/quality of furniture/delivery time and worked our way back to this homestore. Joe worked with us from the start. I like that he did not pressure us and didn't follow us closely around the store lingering to the point it's creepy like other stores. He was there when needed but also gave us space. My husband and I purchased well over 3,000 for our new house. I was worried that it wouldn't be delivered in time for thanksgiving. Since we couldn't pay in full until the closing of our house with a down payment they gathered the pieces at the warehouses so it could be delivered in less then a week of our final payment. It was delivered on time and the drivers were not only super friendly but very efficient. I wanted to ask them to stay and help with our overstock orders Overall it was a great experience for what can be some major stressful and expensive choices. read more

I would give this store 0 stars if I could. I decided on a dining room set but was presented the option for layaway since I hadn't closed on my home and delivery would need to be postponed for a couple of weeks. At that time, items were in stock. AFTER I put down $300 and received my paperwork, the salesperson says - store credit is available in the event I cancel. When I confirmed that the items were actually on reserve (like a traditional layaway) I was told that I would have to wait if they were sold out. Of course she would tell me this AFTER I put down my money. Long story short, I returned 2 weeks later to set up my delivery date and to make final payment. To my surprise, the set wasn't even in the store any more AND the item wasn't going to be stocked until late November. Mind you my "layaway" purchase was Labor Day weekend. So, I canceled the layaway and am stuck with a $300 credit that's I'm considering selling on eBay because I'm not remotely interested in making a purchase. Buy in-stock items only! read more

Horrible customer service. Horrible delviery. I bought some bedroom furniture from the Woodbridge store several weeks ago, and had been told it would be delivered on July 7. After taking that day off of work in order to be home for the delivery, I received a phone call on July 5 saying that my furniture would not arrive to their distribution center until the 10th. On the 10th, the delivery subcontractor called me to tell me that it was in the distribution center and that they could deliver it on July 12 between 3p-6p. When I had originally purchased the furniture--paid in full--the salesperson told me--and I verified this two times--that with their delivery, I could pick the time slot that fit best with my schedule. The delivery subcontractor told me that this was absolutely not the case. So I take off another 1/2 day from work to await my 3p-6p delivery time. At approximately 4:55p I get a phone call from the delivery subcontractor's main office telling me that the truck is delayed and I won't get my furniture until about 6:30p. At 7:30pm, when my furniture has still not arrived, I attempt to call back the number the delivery subcontractor gave me. Of course they are not there, and there is no way for me to contact the driver. Their recording tells me that I can leave a message that they will return during normal business hours--except that each time after their recorded message finishes, their phone system hangs up on you. Can't leave a message. thinking I must be crazy, I call them 6 times trying to leave a message, to no avail. Then I attempt to call the Ashley Furniture Homestore and I go through a 10 minute runaround on their automated phone system--never once being able to type in the magic code to get to a real person--and literally *every* automated phone option that allows me to leave a message dead-ends into a phone mailbox that is "full". The system kicks you out and there is no way to leave a message or find anyone who can tell me where in the world my furniture is. and I have received absolutely no phone call from the delivery driver. It is now 8:30p. I won't buy from them again--they obviously don't value their customers enough to have a capable delivery system or common sense customer service, and for the money I paid to have the furniture delivered I am absolutely enraged. Avoid them. You may think you are getting a good deal on furniture, but you'll pay for it in the end, one way or another. read more

If the options were for Zero Stars That Is EXACTLY what they would get. First when you go to purchase the furniture everyone is all nice and helpful once it is purchased it is messed up from delivery back to the supposedly CEO of Customer Relations in Fredericksburg back to the Woodbridge store management. Oh they also says you have to keep furniture you get because all sales are final even though their furniture is torn up and not delivered on time! I got a call saying my furniture would be delivered the next day in a specific time frame I took off work. Got a call the next morning 30 min before delivery saying oh the furniture is broken we just noticed we have to re order you some furniture. They kept transferring me to lines that no one would answer just hang up when I wanted to talk to a manger. I went to the store in Woodbridge and the supposed to be manager Ahmad was clueless and useless he did not know who to call in delivery and kept dialing numbers finally he gave me to Ms Val up front to try and help me umm Are you not the manager. Ms Val by the way is the most helpful person at the store but is limited in what she can do. The suppose to be manager Ahmad who needs customer service training said he manages processes ummm this is a process help the customer. He failed at that task. He kept wanting to point out all sales are final and that there was nothing he could do. They are having a Labor Day sale so I said you need to give me a percentage off my furniture since you all have failed and yall want a payment but I have NO FURNITURE! HE said I can't do that and you need to keep your voice down! Oh he didn't want the other customers to hear he has poor customer relations skills, their delivery dept lies and oh he can't help me. I told him I am a grown woman and I will talk as I please I was not yelling just stating facts to him and he couldn't handle the pressure!!!I told him to call the person who writes his checks since he is a manger and can't do anything. He had Val contact Rod who is suppose to be the big manger but he didn't answer his cell. He then said for her to give me Deannie number who is suppose to be over everyone. I called for 2 hours and kept getting a ringing phone or hung up on. She finally called back and said that Ashley DOES NOT check the furniture when they get it from the manufacturer until they are putting it for delivery. The call you get is automated telling you the time frame so when you get that call most people take off work. Ashley doesn't care bc they will call you the next day saying oops! Then the people that call are rude like you did something to them.I told them they can keep the furniture and I will take my business elsewhere she wanted to offer me a $25 gift card! What the hell is that! Oh and that all sales are final their STANDARD sentence! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THERE EVER AGAIN! From Rod the manager, to Ahmad who needs training in people skills to this Deannie suppose to be in charge no help person, to this Invisible CEO IN Frederiskburg! The entire operation is a scam out to lie to customers and to get money without you getting your furniture in a timely manner! All of us don't work on Commission so we have to work!! Since they didn't want to help I have contacted the Better Business Bureau, have an article with the entire story going in the Newspaper and will put this on social media. I will never spend my money here. I went in this past weekend to look for a dresser for our new baby due in a few months. When we first walked in, there were many sales people just standing around. One guy asked us what we were looking for and pointed us off into a direction. Could he not have been more helpful and walked us over there? Apparently not. Then as we are walking around (been walking around for 15 mins at this point), the same guy comes over and asks us if we need help. We tell him AGAIN what we are looking for and he speed walks off to go show us some dressers with out a care of the fact I am 6 months pregnant and was having a hard time keeping up with him. JERK. He was generally rude and unprofessional and had attitude about him like he couldn't be bothered. That's fine with me because I won't be bothered to spend my money here then. My husband and I purchased a living room set on Sept. 2nd. After days of calling the store just trying to find out the status of when it would be delivered, and only getting sent to voicemails, and never receiving calls back, I called on Tuesday Sept. 6th, and said I had had enough of this hassle, I just wanted my money back. The store doesn't have the merchandise, I DON'T HAVE THE MERCHANDISE. Tuesday, the manager sent an email to her boss requesting a refund for us. He advised we would have our response within 24-48 hours. It is now Friday, well past 48 hours. I called the store 5 times yesterday, and even left a voicemail with the Director of Customer Service, Deannie F. I have not received a response from anybody!! This company has my money, and I don't even have their product. THAT IS STEALING! I will be arriving at the store with a Police Officer demanding my refund, if this doesn't get resolved today. read more

I had a very good experience. I actually purchased three sofas and three recliners. I had problems with two of the recliners. They sent someone out within one week to look at it and make an adjustment. It turned out that the style of the rocker recliner was prone to this problem and would probably not be any better than the tech could get it. I called the manager Christian and he was incredible working with me. He was prompt with return calls, attempted to work with me and make things right. They picked up both of the defective recliners. I will go back again. My sales person, Ahmed was terrific, Eddie, the head sales mgr was great, Valerie at the desk was super and responsive. I just feel they are trying very hard to set a good example and clean up the old images from the past. I will research the price on line before buying there again, but I beleive they will work with you to try to match the price as close as possible. My experience was great and I would recomend them, but you have to realize this is not Hooker or Tommy Bahama furniture either. For the price (especially matched) I think you can get some great stuff. If my sofa's fall apart and the other recliner breaks I will post my experience, but so far they have my confidence. I honestly wished I had read the reviews for this Ashley's location before even entering the store. I have visited other Ashley's store and must say this is by far the worst. I financed over $8,000 worth of furniture and recieved the worst customer service ever. The lady at the RAC department is ridiculously rude, first off going through her was a suggestion from the sales associate that I was dealing with and it was the worst suggestion ever. They provide little to no info on RAC so while I think I am applying for financing through Ashley's it wasn't, RAC is a third party and also charges a $40 processing fee. MFS was applied to my purchase without my knowledge or consent, I was not asked if I wanted this service nor was it explained to me, after being in the store for over 8 hours I was just overwhelmed and overlooked it, I went back a fee days later after noticing the MFS to have it removed and the lady was like I cannot remove it and I was like well the agreement said I have 10 days and it hasn't been 10 days therefore I need it to be removed . She gave a nasty attitude and I had to return to the store twice to have this MFS removed also ended up paying $80 in processing fee. I also needed to make a few changes to my purchase which was not ordered as yet and the sales associate said she would return my call with my request and email me the new invoice.She did not follow through, but since I am only a few miles away I drove back to the store only to learn the following day was her day off and she wasn't at work, but she has yet to follow up with me. I do not know about a lot of people but to be buying $8,000 worth of furniture I would expect a much better customer service. Please if you can avoid this Ashley's do so and save yourself the headache's, these reviews are true customer service is the worst. read more

A couple of months ago my husband and I walked into the Ashley furniture store @ Potomac Mills. We were immediately greeted by Nasira Khaliq. She heard what we were looking for, gave us some information and gave us space to look around. We were happy not to have her breathing down our neck to make a sale. We approached her before leaving the store to talk about pieces we were interested in. She wrote down the items, we talked about price but ultimately my husband and I weren't ready to purchase. In February we went back to the store and found Narisa again. Again she gave us the space we needed. Surprisingly, she was just as patient and attentive as the first time. In another surprise, Narisa still had the information on the pieces we looked at during the previous visit. We chose our items and there was some confusion about the down payment and delivery. Narisa again surprised us by advocating for us with her manager getting us a great deal. Her customer focus will have us going to her again and again. I highly recommend anyone looking for Ashley furniture, seek out Nasira when you go to Potomac Mills Ashley Store. read more
