a takeout box of food

We were in the Wake Forest area and decided to stop by this fast food hibachi restaurant. It is conveniently located next to Publix. The food was ok. Nothing really stood out. I didn't like that they leave the tails on the shrimp for the hibachi steak chicken and shrimp. They definitely serve a good portion. I felt the rice was bland.

Used my $12 off GrubHub coupon tonight for delivery from Asia Express - not sure if it was GrubHub's issue or Asia Express, but our good was delayed three times and barely warm when it arrived... Ordered one of our favorite meals, Sesame Chicken, and a first time meal of Walnut Shrimp. Sesame chicken was good, as it usually is from here. The broccoli that came with it was pretty sickly looking, though. The walnut shrimp were good, but my broccoli was also worse for wear. The sauce on the shrimp was good but honestly there wasn't enough! Rice was cooked well. Salad was fresh and so was ginger dressing. Overall, meal would have been much better had it arrived HOT and wasn't literally steamed in the bag from sitting for so long. Bummer. Next time, we'll skip GrubHub and just go pick it up ourselves.

I am not aware of any other hibachi takeout in close proximity to this restaurant. We decided to try this place after noticing it in one of our favorite shopping centers. I looked online for a website to see the menu so I could call and order ahead but my search was fruitless. When I walked in, I was pleased to see a nice seating area and a welcoming face at the counter. He was ready to take my order, but I needed a few moments to look at the menu. The menu is very simple, but it seems like they are doing a lot. They offer fried wings with a choice of different sauces, hibachi, soups, and some traditional dishes like lo mein. It was nice to have a variety of things to choose from but it didn't all go together in my mind. It's just my opinion. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be prepared. The prices were reasonable and appropriate for the size of the take out container. I was a little shocked to see red onions in my vegetables, but they did not take away from the dish. I was also pleasantly surprised to find peas and carrots in my fried rice. I really enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Overall, I would definitely visit this place again. I really appreciate the price points!

Saw someone recommend this new spot in Wake Forest and decided to give it a try last night. They seemed quite busy and the cashier told me the wait was 30 minutes, but I was in no hurry. Ordered some potstickers and Chicken Pad Thai and wow it was amazing. The portions were nice and the sauce was flavorful. I thought it could have been a little spicier, but I fixed that by getting some Sriracha sauce on the side to spice it up more. Other than that, the Pad Thai was on point. Look forward to returning and trying some of their other dishes. Also, it looks like they have online ordering, so I plan to do that next time and avoid the queue.

Food is good but when you call ahead and are on a tight lunch schedule and still wait 20 after you get to the restaurant kinda makes this place lower on my hibachi list. Hibachi Japan near Walmart is better and fast. At least when I call ahead and they say 15 minutes it's ready in 15 minutes not 30.

Visited this new spot next to Publix yesterday and we've found our new spot for take out Asian food. Their menu is mostly Hibachi and a handful of popular Chinese and Thai dishes. We gave the Walnut shrimp and their chicken wings a try. The shrimps were huge so these guys definitely don't skimp out on portion, the walnut sauce was a honey mayo sauce which went great with the fried shrimp. The chicken wings reminded me of Korean Fried Chicken, they were lightly breaded with a tempura like breading and we tried the general tsos sauce on the wings. They were fantastic and next time we will try their soy garlic sauce.

Food was good. The white sauce was very watery but still good. I'd go there again. The veggies were cut in large chunks.

Ordered take-out last night and it was amazing. I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and tempura shrimp. It was hot, fresh, and delicious.

My first time eating here, I got Thai Red Curry Chicken with a side of Lo Mein. It was very good, and they give a great portion.

Now, when I say cheap Chinese, I mean like fair pricing, family owned, none of that frilly stuff. What you see is what you get, that's how I like it! The restaurant itself is pretty basic, a few tables inside, but not much decor. We always do take-out and order a lot of it. The food is what you'd expect for cheap Chinese, it's good and it's comforting. We've been here many times and it's always a solid choice for a cozy night in. We visited last night and with our massive order, came extra wait time. We arrived slightly after pickup time and had to wait a few extra minutes after. They gave us free donuts and some pastries. That was such a nice surprise! The customer service here is always welcoming and polite. My husband loves that they give and take with both hands, a sign of respect that we only see here at Panda King. Panda King will always be our preferred choice when it comes to comforting Chinese food. Not sure what to get? Try their fried dumplings, crab rangoon, Kung Pao Chicken, and Singapore Mei Fun!

The food is good, and each main entree actually serves 2. The only complaint I have is the crab Rangoon - there's been less and less crab, and I think by now it's just a cream cheese Rangoon. That's why the 4 stars and not 5. Also the young lady ALWAYS working the counter is so kind. She's always so apologetic if she was on the phone taking an order when you walked in and she couldn't greet you immediately. Yeah, they are short staffed so there's not exactly a dine-in option. Just know that before you go. You order and pay at the counter. They won't have dishes or metal silverware, and your canned drinks will come from the fridge.

I will certainly return. Best Chinese food in Wake Forest.
