The restaurant is exactly what it's called, a takeout Asian restaurant. We ordered the tofu hibachi and pad Thai. Both were okay, not great but nothing wrong with either meals. The fried rice did have a bit of a dairy taste to them, but other than that the meals were decent. If you're trying for something quick and easy this is your place to go. Ordered 3 Steak Hibachi plates to go. Overall the inside looked clean. This was my first time ordering from here. I like that you can place your order online. Vegetables are a little soft (and watery) for my liking but that's a personal preference. I like them to crunch. Flavor was pretty good, especially for takeout. Good portion size. Steak also had a good griddle flavor and wasn't too tough like some take out places. I ordered fried rice with my plate. The rice had a different flavor than I was expecting. It doesn't make it taste bad but there's something a little different about it. I'll definitely go back next time we want takeout hibachi around this area. read more

Used my $12 off GrubHub coupon tonight for delivery from Asia Express - not sure if it was GrubHub's issue or Asia Express, but our good was delayed three times and barely warm when it arrived... Ordered one of our favorite meals, Sesame Chicken, and a first time meal of Walnut Shrimp. Sesame chicken was good, as it usually is from here. The broccoli that came with it was pretty sickly looking, though. The walnut shrimp were good, but my broccoli was also worse for wear. The sauce on the shrimp was good but honestly there wasn't enough! Rice was cooked well. Salad was fresh and so was ginger dressing. Overall, meal would have been much better had it arrived HOT and wasn't literally steamed in the bag from sitting for so long. Bummer. Quickly became a new family favorite! Asia express has some of my favorite spring rolls and yum yum sauce. I believe comparatively they're really well priced! My only complaint is I wish I would've tried them sooner! I've since moved out of the area but look forward to grabbing a bite here whenever I'm in town! Asia Express has really great fried rice, lo mein, hibachi chicken, spring rolls, honey chicken, and more! Those are my personal order staples. I am not aware of any other hibachi takeout in close proximity to this restaurant. We decided to try this place after noticing it in one of our favorite shopping centers. I looked online for a website to see the menu so I could call and order ahead but my search was fruitless. When I walked in, I was pleased to see a nice seating area and a welcoming face at the counter. He was ready to take my order, but I needed a few moments to look at the menu. The menu is very simple, but it seems like they are doing a lot. They offer fried wings with a choice of different sauces, hibachi, soups, and some traditional dishes like lo mein. It was nice to have a variety of things to choose from but it didn't all go together in my mind. It's just my opinion. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be prepared. The prices were reasonable and appropriate for the size of the take out container. I was a little shocked to see red onions in my vegetables, but they did not take away from the dish. I was also pleasantly surprised to find peas and carrots in my fried rice. I really enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Overall, I would definitely visit this place again. Saw someone recommend this new spot in Wake Forest and decided to give it a try last night. They seemed quite busy and the cashier told me the wait was 30 minutes, but I was in no hurry. Ordered some potstickers and Chicken Pad Thai and wow it was amazing. The portions were nice and the sauce was flavorful. I thought it could have been a little spicier, but I fixed that by getting some Sriracha sauce on the side to spice it up more. Other than that, the Pad Thai was on point. Look forward to returning and trying some of their other dishes. Also, it looks like they have online ordering, so I plan to do that next time and avoid the queue. read more

Not impressed. The rice was waxy with a weird flavorless texture. Fried rice has no vegetables! only a bit of egg. Definitely not what I am used to. The proteins were cooked well and tasty, but lacked any vegetables and definitely not enough sauce to get the rice past your gullet. I personally have not had any experience with Asian main dishes lacking vegetables. Those wonderfully stir-fried vegetables are my favorite part, so if you're like me and love stir-fried veggies, this is not your place. Visited this new spot next to Publix yesterday and we've found our new spot for take out Asian food. Their menu is mostly Hibachi and a handful of popular Chinese and Thai dishes. We gave the Walnut shrimp and their chicken wings a try. The shrimps were huge so these guys definitely don't skimp out on portion, the walnut sauce was a honey mayo sauce which went great with the fried shrimp. The chicken wings reminded me of Korean Fried Chicken, they were lightly breaded with a tempura like breading and we tried the general tsos sauce on the wings. They were fantastic and next time we will try their soy garlic sauce. read more

Pros: sesame chicken meat is fresh and has a great flavor! Not over fried! I had mine with lo mein. The noodles were a bit al dente but still good. Egg rolls were pretty tasty. My hubby liked his shrimp fried rice and crab rangoon. Cons: fried dumplings-too fried and filling didn't get me past them being over fried. Would order again but be more selective. read more

Asia Express was nor good or bad experience. We decided to order Chinese food on DoorDash and we found this place. The reviews were ok so we decided to give it a try. It definitely filled the craving for Chinese but it was no where near great. It was bland and chewy and the rice had absolutely no flavor. But on the other hand the crab cheese wontons were good along with the chicken egg rolls. The deliver took over an hour and we where only 15 minutes a way, so you will probably have to wait a while wherever you live. The food packaging was low quality and our food spilled all over the bag, although that could have been the delivery driver, I still wish they had better packaging. Overall I would rate the whole dinner experience a 4 or 5 out of 10. Also do not get the sesame chicken! read more

Seriously, I mean I don't think they cooked this entree with anything but oil and water. Not even salt and pepper. Only 4 Shrimp, that's it, four shrimp and 5 pieces of steak all mixed in with what felt like 5 ponds of flavorless noodles. Mushroom soup- it was hot but like everything else the flavor was just blah. Spring rolls- if I even need to say this, we're flavorless. I mean this place needs to be introduced to the most basic kitchen staples....salt? Pepper? At least if they were to salty they would at least have some flavor. Last but not least, Shrimp Shumai- 6 little mini marshmallow sized fried shrimp dumplings covered in honey mayo. These were excellent, each little bite exploded with flavor. I would recommend for sure. I just don't what else you would eat. Maybe just order 2-3 of this dish for an entree. Sadly we will never taste these again. I should have turned around when I walked in last night and saw the tables were dirty with dishes still on them and the chairs were scattered around the tables vs. pushed in. I ordered some Spring Rolls, Spicy Basil Beef and Miso Soup to go. The Spring Rolls were absolute mush on the inside and greasy on the outside. The soup was okay but nothing exceptional. The "Spicy" Basil Beef was nothing of the sort--bland but full of sodium. The fried rice was tasteless. Overall this was on par with the food you might expect in a hospital cafeteria. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called in a takeout about an hour before close. I got there within 20 minutes and then sat another 20-25 minutes waiting inside. By the time I got my order they were closing so I just did a quick check to make sure everything was correct. I had ordered steak hibachi but wanted it cooked in teriyaki sauce. I was given a steak teriyaki bowl with loads of thick sauce just dumped on top, it was horrible. Not to mention I wanted fried rice and they gave me white rice. I kindly brought this to the front lady's attention and then she continued to argue with me that my order was correct after I had paid almost $20. I didn't want to argue it had been a long day and just was ready to get home. I just said it was fine and that I would leave. She then said next time she would give me my correct order free of charge. Here I am not even 2 days later I call to get my free order and she says she never said that and that I am mistaken. Completely disrespectful that they cannot accept they made a mistake (which is fine we're all human) but do not tell me something and then take it back. The food I received that night was not even good and I had to throw half of it away because it was caked with gooey teriyaki that tasted like wing sauce. The woman working the counter told us multiple times that our food was almost up, but yet it never was. For students on a limited lunch break, this is definitely not the place to go. First of all, if it's not obvious from the pictures, this is basically a take-out only establishment, at least around dinner time. The few tables they have will be taken up by customers waiting for their orders. That's not a strike against them--just a heads up that this establishment is not really set up to handle dine-in customers at dinner. My experience was pretty horrible. Not having known that dine-in wasn't an option, we did not order ahead, as we planned on dining in. Once we got there, we quickly realized that wasn't an option, so we placed a to-go order a little after 7 PM on a Thursday night. About 45-50 minutes later, the order was ready. When we got home and opened the orders, I found that my order (shrimp hibachi with no mushrooms) was written correctly on my container, but inside was steak hibachi with no mushrooms. As I eat pescatarian when I'm out to avoid factory-farmed meat, this meant that my dinner was basically garbage. Both of the other members of my party were underwhelmed by the quality of dinners as well. One had shrimp in their hibachi and about half had the tails still on. If you're a nicer restaurant serving wild-caught shrimp in a nice marinade, sure, leave the tails on, but at a place like this that's serving the cheapest frozen shrimp, there's no reason other than lack of quality control to explain why half the shrimp were still tail-on. Overall, poor quality experience and sub-par food, even for the relatively cheap price. Their are far better quick-serve hibachi options in the area. Hard pass on revisiting this one. read more

I had high hope's but this was really disappointing. Staff was very nice but the food did not resemble any Asian food I've ever had. I ordered two take out dishes and can honestly say that the servings were large but the flavors of Kung Pao Chicken and Spicy Basil Beef were unrecognizable!
