The food has consistently gone downhill...we ordered a Happy Family....it had one shrimp in it and it was a breaded frozen shrimp....so Gross. If you are out of an ingredient, leave it out ! It was not a good value at all. Small portions overloaded with Big chunks of broccoli to fill in space. They NEVER send any sauce packets and no option to order them online. read more

Long (long) road trip. Very hungry. In the mood for Asian but where to stop. Yelp said stop here since it was pretty much the only Asian choice within 50 miles. The restaurant was relatively clean, most of it looked closed off/unused and not that kept up. There were other brave souls who sat down just before us and ordered. We ordered and I ordered the Kung Pao chicken. We were very disappointed to see our lunch meal come out in plastic to go containers. That was our first sign. Then I went to wash my hands in the bathroom, which was very neglected. That was the second sign. Then I tasted my KP Chicken and, aside from it being overly salty, it really didn't taste good. In fact I struggled to eat less than half of it before giving up. Back on the road I had to stop and get a milky way to clean my palette. It worked. read more

My family went to this restaurant for years when it was owned by Chu - the original owner. The food was absolutely flawless, and you could never find a better quality Chinese meal anywhere else. Chu finally sold the restaurant, and they got off to a great start when Chu was there to guide them. I ate there yesterday evening, and it was literally inedible. The staff doesn't pay too much to detail, and I was very disappointed this last time. Food was way over cooked, and nothing like it used to be. Unless they do a major turn around; I will not be back. Chu, needs to step back in or something - if she's able to straighten them out. I hardly ever leave any negative commented, but this was a bitter disappointment. read more

I'll give it a solid 3 stars but I'd love to see the cook/s be a little more courageous in their food prep. For example, the fried rice was simply rice drowning in soy sauce. Very salty, and did not pair well with my already salty, but decent, Happy Family. If you order Happy Family, get white rice to help balance that out. Fried rice should be prepared similar to how they prepare the rice noodles, with egg and some veggies and for sure less soy sauce. This used to be a family owned amazing Chinese restaurant when I lived in the area several years ago! Unfortunately It has changed ownership. Went today and ordered Appetizers which were cream cheese and crab rangoons. They came out so hot, we couldn't even touch them for several minutes. When we finally were able to try them, the cream cheese was liquified and scalding hot. They were so sweet, it tasted like it might be a dessert. Then for my entree, I ordered my favorite item for my mother and I: Happy Family(beef, chicken, shrimp, rice). When I started chewing it, it had no distinct flavor and had a consistency as of it had been cooked in a microwave. I tried a couple of other bites and tastes a burnt taste you could almost smell. It had the aftertaste of burnt popcorn. We couldn't eat it. I advised the server who didn't seem to speak English (no server seemed to speak or understand English) and the manger came to the table. I explained it to him and he asked if I wanted it recooked. I said no. He offered no apology and just walked off leaving the food on the table. The host came to the table and did basically the same, just walked off. I told her it would be nice if they would remove the food. She said "You could've asked for it to be removed." She gave me the check and I had to ask if my plate was removed from the ticket. She said mine was. My mother had eaten about 5 bites more than me but they still charged us for the rest even though the vast majority of the food was still on the table. When I paid, I asked if they used a microwave to which she said "no". As I said Ed the receipt, I told her it would've been proper for at least someone to apologize for the food. She just stared at me. I said "no apology? Just a stare?" She looked past me and said "Have a good day". I will NEVER go back. It was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. If I could leave 0 stars I would. This used to be one of my fav places to go to, since the owner before( we miss her very much) I came in today and she just said how many? I told her and she just ignored me while she continued on the phone, not taking an order. We sat down didn't even get a menu, they took a couple minutes to get to us or even our drinks. Also noticed how the lady treated us differently. I will no longer be coming here. read more
