There are many versions of Singapore Noodles, but what is common to all, is they are strongly flavored with curry. These noodles tasted of nothing. They were bland and tasteless. They were yellow so they probably used some turmeric. The dumplings were terrible. First, they came at the end of the meal, not the beginning. Secondly, they were not fried, they were baked. The outside of the dumping was dry and hard, and the filling was merely ground pork with nothing else added that we could tell. I don't think we will go back.

I believe our server, Vee, was also the owner or manager. I ordered the "New England Crispy Duck." There were several tasty ingredients in the dish that I didn't recognize, and when I asked Vee what they were, they took the time to explain that they sourced the lychee and lotus from Asia, not locally! I've never had lychee or lotus before, but I loved them! I can't wait to buy lychees at an Asian market the next time I see them. I am not a big sake drinker. My introduction to sake in college was cheap, bottom shelf sake, the equivalent of Natty Light beer, and I hated it. I was introduced to quality sake in San Francisco last year, and loved it. I explained this to Vee, and they offered to bring me a sample of their only sake before committing to a carafe. It was delicious, and perfectly complimented the food! The space was redecorated with colorful murals on the walls, overhanging color flags, and new upholstery for the dining room seats. Most of the seating and tables have remained since The Catch and the 4 high chairs at the small bar were updated. The colored drink glasses were the same as The Catch too. The owner who bought this restaurant building changed the concept to a ramen restaurant, which was definitely needed amidst the other Asian restaurants in the area. The previous seafood restaurants did not last long in Littleton. I was told most people in the area would actually drive to Maine and Southeast NH for fresh seafood and not pay the inflated charged prices in town. The food menu offerings include a selection of ramen bowls, noodle soups, Asian appetizers, fried rice, lo mein, boba tea, and desserts. The prices are moderate. The bar offers bottled beers, can seltzers, wine, and soft drinks (from can). I stopped by Surf Noodle Bar recently for dinner. The place was fairly quiet around 5 pm and I sat in the left side dining room with bar. I got an ice water and ordered the Miso Ramen with Pork ($18 plus tax), which came out very hot in about 10 minutes. The bowl of ramen had tender slices of pork belly, bok choy, corn, bamboo, egg, fish cake slices, Chinese broccoli and soft ramen noodles in a rich miso broth. I was only able to eat half of the ramen since I actually stopped for ice cream before dinner. I was given a plastic bowl with lid to take home the rest. The check was $19.53 with tax and before tip. The ramen soup itself was delish and fresh! I would definitely stop back again during my work trips to through Littleton.

The chicken was very moist and marinated just the amount of time to not make the curry too overpowering. The noodles were firm but not rubbery. The portions were enough for to large meals or 3 medium servings. Definitely will be returning to Taste of Thai next time I'm in Littleton.

I never order burgers at restaurants due to fear of poor quality meat and poor cooking. I devoured that burger! By far better than a "Big Mac" but tasted just like mac sauce on a juicy, perfectly cooked local beef burger, with a suitable bun! I also subbed the fries for fried green beans. Delicious and perfectly breaded and cooked. Not hard and not mushy. I got both items for under $12. They are also one of the only restaurants open on Mondays in our local area. My food was ready within 10 minutes or less and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon!
