I was missing food from California. So I yelped for the closest Chinese food. This is what I found. The yelp reviews were decent here so I took a chance. Boy, I was disappointed. First of all, this place is super small. No one was dining in. The service was fairly ok when they came around. I got up few times just to get some service. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Calamari. It was soggy and lack flavors. I also got the Double Pan Fried Noodles. It was burnt and needs more seasoning. It also needs more sauce to cover the noodles. It felt like eating prick needles, which was hurting my throat. I don't expect perfection here as I know I am from the land of mega asian food, but this place could use some useful suggestions. I also ordered some togo items, such as Wonton Soup and Beef Flat Noodle for my brother. He threw up and said "this is terrible. I told you not to go there". This is one of best Chinese/Asian cuisine restaurants we have ever eaten at. We drive over an hour and a half drive to eat here. Excellent made to order off the menu. They have hand rolled egg rolls that are great. The crab Rangoon is awesome. Orange shrimp is Highly recommend. 2/21/16 Ate here again and not disappointed. The food is fresh and authentic. Love it. Nope not at all! We dined here a few weeks ago and actually sat down and ate. The service was about the best thing I can talk about. We ordered a lo mein and the General Tso Chicken and neither was very good at all. Both came out hot but quality and flavor was not there. It is pretty hard to mess up either of these dishes but they managed to do so. We also ordered a slice of cheesecake and it tasted like it had been frozen or refrigerated for a while because you could taste just about everything in the refrigerator on the cheesecake, not to mention it was only about two bites. read more

So, the hubs and I enjoy take-out Chinese at least once a month. Up until a little while ago, we were very loyal to Happy Dragon. While HD is still very good, our new go to is Asia Wok. Everything is incredibly fresh and has great flavor. Veggies are crisp and not over-done. My fav is the garlic friend rice! If you plan on eating in, seating is extremely limited. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, Salt & Pepper Shrimp and Pepper Steak. The Hot & Sour soup was neither Hot, nor Sour enough. Aside from the soup needing a bit more care the other two main dishes were good. The food is always excellent. Better than a lot of Chinese restaurants. My only complaint this evening, we're obviously in a hotel (they knew because we told them) but they did not send us any silverware, and there were no sauces, not even soy. We had to beg silverware from the front desk, and everything was delicious but I would have liked a little soy sauce on it. read more

Scorched! Ah Asia Wok. How you disappointed me so. My egg drop soup was scorched! I am EggDropErin for cryin' out loud! The rest of my food was actually really good. My honey chicken was tasty. It was very sweet, but that was to be expected. I had a taste of my friend's pineapple chicken which was also very good. Lots of nice chunks of pineapple. Our service was lacking. Favorite Chinese place - even over PF Chang's! Their lettuce wraps are amazing! Love the personal service and the owner/cook is a sweet guy who I'm not sure speaks a lot of English. A little strip mall Asian restaurant but not your typical strip mall restaurant. Very clean and amazing menu. I actually like that the drinks and soup comes in a styrofoam cup. Oh Yelp, you've failed me! The hot and sour soup and drinks were served in styrofoam cups and bowl which I thought was odd. The silverware rolled up in a napkin only included a fork, which made cutting my honey chicken clumsy and difficult. The honey chicken with the fried rice was ok but not anything I would order again. If you are a fan of PF Chang's style Chinese rather than the typical over sauced over salted greasy fast food Chinese takeout that constitutes 90% of the Chinese available in and around Indianapolis then this is the place for you. I have tried them all and Asia Wok is the only one I have gone back to. It's small and tucked away in a strip mall that's old and falling apart, but, don't let that deter you. The food is great! My favorite meal is the orange beef, so crisp and delicious. My kids love the chicken lo mein, and my husband favors the sesame chicken. The egg rolls and crab rangoon are your typical Chinese restaurant fare, but, still tasty, and the fried rice is always very good. Having burnt myself out on buffets and Panda Express, I haven't been a fan of Chinese food in a long time. The quality of Asia Wok's food is SO GOOD that I enjoy the flavors again. Everything is made to order, so if I don't want peppers or mushrooms, it gets made to my liking. Nice full portion sizes (I never leave hungry). Lettuce wraps that rival PF Changs. Good rangoons (no crab taste!). Weekday lunch deals that make it even harder to resist. The place is tiny, and I hope they do well enough to expand. The décor isn't your typical Chinese buffet décor -- it's modern and clean, yet a warm atmosphere. The guy that runs the kitchen is the friendliest chef I've ever met. Always a smile on his face! I rarely leave feedback about a place, even if I like it, but Asia Wok stands out and I want to see it do well and stay around for a long time.
