Having burnt myself out on buffets and Panda Express, I haven't been a fan of Chinese food in a long time. The quality of Asia Wok's food is SO GOOD that I enjoy the flavors again. Everything is made to order, so if I don't want peppers or mushrooms, it gets made to my liking. Nice full portion sizes (I never leave hungry). Lettuce wraps that rival PF Changs. Good rangoons (no crab taste!). Weekday lunch deals that make it even harder to resist. The place is tiny, and I hope they do well enough to expand. The décor isn't your typical Chinese buffet décor -- it's modern and clean, yet a warm atmosphere. The guy that runs the kitchen is the friendliest chef I've ever met. Always a smile on his face! I rarely leave feedback about a place, even if I like it, but Asia Wok stands out and I want to see it do well and stay around for a long time. Just moved to the area and need a good Asian restaurant. Asian Wok covered this well. The food was great! Fresh ingredients. The fried chicken for the Sesame Chicken was very crispy, right out of the fryer and it stood up to the sauce well, not soggy. Service was attentive and good. Dining area is small but clean. This was my family an I first time in the Asia Wok and we were very satisfied with everything. It was very clean and the service was excellent. I tried the gluten free pork with Kim chi (first time having Kim chi) it was amazing and I will definitely order it again. Love this place. Honestly I get the same thing every time I go in... lettuce wraps, chicken noodle soup, and the chicken fried rice. Those three items feeds me and my two kids with leftovers. Best Chinese food around. The chef makes everything fresh and is always coming out to say hi. The cashew chicken is great! My favorite though has to be the lettuce wraps. They are way better, and larger, than PF Chang's. And the portion size is huge! The crab Rangoon and egg rolls are also on point. You can also specify if you want breaded or grilled chicken in any dish you order, or choose shrimp or pork or beef. We order take out 1-2x a month and will also dine in on occasion. Every experience I have here is great. Note on take out: if they say it will be ready in 10-15 minutes, that rely means 20-25. So take your time. read more

We called in an order for carry out. When my husband got there to pick it up, the young lady stated that she didn't have an order from us. Then, when pressed, she said that she did find the ticket, but she must have given the food to someone else. She stated that she didn't understand why he couldn't just wait while they made the order again. Why would I call it in if I wanted to wait???? She never apologized!! Was very rude! A friend who lives nearby took me there for lunch. It was quite a delightful surprise. The spring rolls were freshly made and oh so good. I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and I agree, it was perfect. A light crisp coating and a not too sugary sweet sauce with very fresh veggies. My friend had the firecracker udon noodles and said they were excellent. We will definitely come back some weekend for lunch or dinner. I have taken out lunch there twice now and was really surprised at the menu choices, not your typical "Chinese" restaurant. They have some Korean and Thai dishes and others i have not heard of and don't know the origin. The Singapore noodles were delicious, plenty of meat and veggies, and the firecracker udon noodles were one of the best meals I have ever had. Don't expect the old #1 Wok when you got there, it is not a buffet and it is decorated quite tastefully, if not downright upscale, definitely not what you expect in a strip mall. read more

Pretty good stuff, we do take-out occasionally. You get a lot of food for not a lot of money. We used to do the Panda Express family pack but realized that we can save money and get more food going to Asia Wok. Having said that, it almost sounds like the food should be a step down, but it isn't! One of the complaints I hear (but one of the things I love about this place) is that even if you call ahead, they do not cook the food until you get there. They understand that freshly made Chinese food is key and they won't be swayed from that. Their version of orange chicken is crunchy, crispy, tangy and delicious! No "yucky parts" in there hidden beneath the batter. We also get the lettuce wraps-- which is something I wasn't excited about (in my head) the first time but I enjoy them now. Kung pao shrimp rounds out our usual order and it is commendable. read more

Plainfield's best kept secret! Tucked in a corner of the Marsh supermarket strip mall sits AMAZING food at Asia Wok! Menu is small and easy to understand, not the 300+ menu items you typically see at a "Chinese" restaurant. Every stir fry I have tried is always delicious! I get shrimp stir-fry and the shrimp are HUGE... no tiny baby shrimp swimming in too much sauce! Their lunch special is the best deal around and includes choice of two sides!! The springroll sides are awesome and freshly prepared. My take-a-way food is always still hot when I get back to work to eat! Service is helpful and friendly!
