I do agree with others, it's a shame you can't in here, but at least they quick to notice customers at window. Plus it is bit hard for getting down the though the intercom. So I placed my order and waited, would called it, but had no menu to order ahead with. So after the wait, spicy rock shrimp, was decent in the sense they did not bathe it sauce like many others do, and shrimp was a decent size, considering they cooked them to micro sauce. Shrimp was pretty tender. Now spicy crunch white tuna roll, I was bit bummed, really not spicy period, the filling was flavorful and good, but no spicy. Sake bomb roll, it had the expected amount of lobster as one would, and pretty much good with fried crust, and plenty of sauce. It was great roll out of the two. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. Pros-price for all-you-can-eat is awesome. We got to try different stuff freshly prepared. Imagine tapas-style Asian food- Japanese Thai and Chinese. Ambiance is on spot. Loved the seaweed salad, tempura and awesome steak teriyaki (served with no rice). Cons- service was not the best. Had to keep getting server's attention waiting for refills and putting our order in(order food as you consume). Thai ice tea was mostly cream, pad thai was a little dry and not very tasty. It was edible, but that's about it. Got Pad Thai, noodles were mushy, sauce was innocuous. None of the bright sweet and sour notes from the tamarind. I make it at home from a packaged sauce and it is soooo much better than this. The coconut soup was loaded with bell peppers, not much else. The special sushi roll was mushy also, rice overcooked, unable to distinguish between several types of fish that were supposed to be in there. Hard pass on this place. read more

This is a long awaited review! This is the hand down best Japanese food/sushi place in town! I love their dynamite roll, spicy crab meat roll and most of their cooked special rolls (I only eat cooked fish). Their Thai basil fried rice, green curry and the various fusion dishes are also delicious! This place also has ayce twice a week I believe. I think the dates were Thursday and Sunday. The buffet has quite a lot of selection which you check off on a piece of paper to order them. My favorite part of the buffet is the shrimp tempura and the spicy crab/scallop rolls. Definitely worth a visit! Friendly owners and amazing food! read more

Went here to get a quick dinner before seeing Top Gun Maverick (highly recommended you go see it!). We arrived and thought it was a sit down but to our surprise it was take out only. We did not know what we wanted so we explored the menu for a bit. After deciding on what we wanted I went for the Angry Birds Roll and my girlfriend went with the Julia Roll. Upon ordering the front lady told us it would take 10 minutes and she was right on the money. After getting our food we were excited to dig in. The presentation and size of the sushi was great despite being take out. We both shared our rolls and I did like my decision better. They both had their own strong points but I appreciated the robustness of the angry bird. The rice paper on the Julia roll was a lot of fun to chew through and overall we were very pleased with our experience. Although not the best sushi I've had, this is very up there and would definitely recommend if you want a quick sushi fix. I hope this review helps! read more

Went here with my boyfriend because I have not tired sushi near Middletown and was craving it. I was pleasantly surprised with the abundance of choices from sushi, hibachi and Pad Thai. We decided to try two different special rolls and split them. The first one we tried was the Julia Roll which was different from anything I've tried before because it was rolled in rice paper which gave it a unique chewy texture. I also enjoyed the Angry Bird Roll because it was more robust with baked crab on the outside and also yummy sauce. The house salad was also served with a fresh ginger dressing which is just what I was looking for. I've had very fresh sushi from other places in NJ and am glad to have found a solid place to satisfy my craving near home. This places sushi has been the best I've tried so far in this area. I would recommend giving it a shot! I hope they open back up for dine in and bring back the AYCE menu since there is nothing like that around here. read more

I enjoy the sushi here, and make it a priority when visiting Middletown. I usually order the Angry Bird (12$) which is sooooo tasty. It has a zesty flavor with a nice crunch. I love that it is warm when served Bc of the shrimp tempura. When we visited the restaurant, it was on Valentine's Day, and surprisingly there were only a few ppl there. Unfortunately, the service was slow, however they made up for the delicious sushi. The food....... ummmmm it wasn't the best. I had something teriyaki, and it was bland. My date had some peanut sauce noodles that was horrible. It wasn't worth taking home the leftovers. Overall, I will return for the Signature sushi rolls, and pick up a angry bird roll whenever I come out here. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for the Sunday AYCE for $18.25. They give you a vast list of options to choose from including appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and even their hibachi menu. The staff was very attentive to our needs as we worked our way throughout the menu. The food seemed rushed to be put together and some of it was definitely not fresh. I understand that it must be busy with everyone coming in on a Sunday, but for most, an all you can eat experience is what makes or breaks returning customers. The good - 1. Good, Quick service 2. Great selection The downfalls - 1. Fried shrimp was dripping in oil 2. Pad Thai was cold in the center (good taste though) 3. Sushi was warm 4. Hibachi steak was old colds up meat microwaved with hibachi sauce poured over (worst dish) Overall, it wasn't the worst but definitely not the best. For AYCE I guess you can't complain. Oh my gosh... i tend to be very critical of restaurants and exterior/ location was deceiving, Make No Mistake be sure to go here! Food was not just delicious but visually appealing and the price was beyond readonablevfor the portions. Their dinner binto box was filling & delicious with 2 choices of about 14 entrees. Their asian fusion really came out in the red curry shrimp with the right heat and tangy Thai flavor and huge shrimp with fresh vegetables. Their $10 chef's specialty rolls will surely delight. Can't compare Fuji(mall) to this Asian 211 blows it away, its like Gas station Sushi in comparison to Asian 211 lol. Another close comparison is Mr Sushi which is excellent also but aside from Mr.S's habacci Asian 211 takes for price point and Thai flare. Both choices are great, skip the mall food! I have been getting the same rolls here for awhile now and never experienced an issue until Sunday night. I got 4 rolls like I always do, all 4 with salmon. The first bite of my Philadelphia roll I had to spit out cause it was so chewy. The next 3 were the same with maybe one good one. At this point I was actually gagging. Checked the rest of the rolls and the salmon was brown and hard. I don't normally complain but I called them and they said we could just come in another day to get a replacement. Now normally when you get bad sushi you just don't go back to that place but they're sushi was usually pretty good and sushi is expensive so I atleast wanted the replacement. Called tuesday as they're closed Monday and the woman let me know they would only remake half of the rolls as that's all they had written down. Now I get if they were different proteins but my complaint was the salmon and they were ALL salmon rolls. Not going back here again. read more

This place was one of my favorite sushi places in the area, they used to have all you can eat sushi which no where does so that was special. The other all you can eat is in New Windsor but this was way better. The food was amazing, definitely one of a kind. Went for the sushi buffet on Sunday. Not a full list of rolls on the menu. Sashimi was cut 1/2 the size of normal cuts. The are worried that people will order more than the can eat. I understand somewhat. The limit the amount you can order but the will continue bringing you more once you finish your plate. It's like a parent & child relationship in that they tell you how to eat. I guess the are worried about people taking advantage of them. Additional appetizers and hot food on the same menu. Again the tell you how much you can order. After all it was only $18.95 per person. The hibachi offerings are all delicious, but what is really deserving of attention is their sushi. Dozens of options to choose from, and not a single one that disappoints. In all the years we've been coming here for sushi, not once has the fish been of questionable quality or the vegetables been past their prime. You know how sometimes when you order sushi you can smell the fish and you wonder how old it is? Or the rolls you order are smooshy and pre-made? Not here. Everything is fresh and freshly made. This spot is a favorite in my friend group. We love going on Thursdays for $18.99 all you can eat surgery. There are lots of options to choose from, miso soup, edamame, red curry, noodles, tempura and TONS of rolls. The food just keep on coming. I wish they had some of the more interesting rolls (they said there are no rolls with mango available for all you can eat) but I can always go back on a different day. Kinda disappointed. By the way, right now it is take out only, which is what I wanted. Ordered Thai Red curry tofu, Thai Shrimp Curry Noodles, Lemongrass soup and Spring rolls. Nothing was spicy enough. Not enough sauce. More sauce might have, might have improved the flavor. Lemongrass soup was OK, just turns out too lemony, which its' supposed to be. (OK), just wasn't my thing. I expected the two dinners to have some zing, it all tasted like some pile of food. Ugh. Tofu pieces were very light and fun (one plus). When I found the sauce, at the bottom and soaked the tofu, it helped some. Meals came with miso soup and I expected a light delicate flavor, however, they slipped some fish sauce in. Didn't like it. Spring Rolls? No flavor if it wasn't for dipping sauces. I know the place is well liked. For me? Forty Dollars of Bland.
