This is a 'take out' place... Visiting my mom and was craving Chinese... I ordered a Bunch Of combo meals... General Tao's, Beef w broccoli, chicken w broccoli, boneless spare ribs, wonton, chicken teriyaki strips and extra egg rolls. (Never order when you're REALLY hungry ‍‍) I didn't care for the beef w broccoli (it wasn't bad, just not my favorite sauce or consistency) I thought the teriyaki strips were a bit salty and I wouldn't order those again... but all else was really good, fresh and fast... the service was great and the man gave me a free 2 liter soda... was really sweet. The best spot for Chinese food in Bristol. I usually order the Bean Curd Home Style (家常豆漿) and Shrimp w Broccoli. They have a good amount of vegetarian and seafood options. Portions are decent and always made to order. Recommend checking it out! read more

It's about time we've gotten a ramen place in the Bristol area! As a fan of Japanese cuisine, the moment a ramen sign pops up, I MUST try it. Safe to say, they've been a constant for me. The ramen... delicious, simple in design but so complex in flavor. The dashi is fresh, the miso is so savory, and the chashu is cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their variety of styles is excellent, and you can tell they take pride in their product. No matter what type of ramen you get, you won't be let down. Now, here's the next amazing part: Japanese appetizers! For those that don't know, takoyaki is an octopus ball (a fritter like batter around a piece of octopus (tako), fried, and served with takoyaki sauce (think a bbq sauce but more Worcestershire forward), Japanese mayonnaise and sprinkled with nori (seaweed). They've got it, you need to try it! They also have chicken karaage (fried chicken pieces) , cooked perfectly and very appetizing. They also have the usual Americanized Chinese food as well as traditional Chinese food. Everything I've had has always been a winner. Ordered delivery through DoorDash tonight from Asian Bistro Ramen Noodle and we weren't disappointed. Surprised I've never heard of this place because apparently they've been around for a few years now. Ordered arrived on time, hot and fresh. The Yummy Ramen was indeed yummy. While the soup itself lacked flavor, everything else within made up for it. The pork slices were the most flavorful. All the different items within the soup just made it work and I was very satisfied with it. We also ordered the steamed dumplings, crab rangoons, spring rolls, Octopus Balls and wonton soup. She was very happy with the wonton soup but also made mention that the soup itself lacked a bit of flavor, however, the wontons were out of this world. The same opinion on the steamed dumplings! They were both very good. The crab rangoons were on par with everywhere else you can get crab rangoons from. Spring rolls were fried which was a surprise because they were not what appeared to be as advertised on the menu. Still tasty though. Lastly... the Octopus Balls. These were actually very good. Well prepared and fresh tasting. A generous portion too! Slight crisp on the outside with a soft inside. Conclusion, ABRN seems to be a pretty great restaurant. I'll gladly get food from there again. The food is not consistently made right or well. After my third time ordering in the span of a month I stopped going back. They messed up two of my meals and I've gotten three different General Tso Chicken from them. Literally. They made my first general tsp chicken correctly, just regular ol General Tso. Then I went back to enjoy it again and got something else. Like a spicy bright pink sauce--reminded me Oh-So sauce for pork but it tasted like orange chicken sauce without the flavor of oranges.... I called and a lady said we'll make you a new one just throw out what you have and hung up. I called back to ask how long to wait for but a man answered he wouldn't let me ask and wasn't listening to me. I asked to speak to the lady I spoke with he said she's too busy for you what you want!? I repeated my question. He just didn't understand. After a few mins he finally understood but didn't give me a time just said to bring back the food. Yet she said to throw it out.... So I waited about 10 mins and when I got there it wasn't ready. After 8 mins of waiting and listening to them talk loudly about the food I brought back, the lady brings out the new meal and asked if I wanted to taste it to make sure it's how I want it to taste. I just replied it looks like general tso sauce now (not like the other one) so tit should taste just fine. And it did TG. Before I left, I told them how rude they both were and they didn't even say sorry just said it's busy man have a good meal bye. So yeah... the service is not great. No one listens to you when you speak or ask questions. They just try and get you out fast. And the ambiance isn't great because it's tiny and old looking even though it's a new place. It's basically a take out restaurant only but they do have seating if you decide to eat there. I don't recommend because they fight in the back kitchen loudly. Today was my third and finally attempt (this time my husband ordered and picked up the food) and lo and behold they gave me the wrong sauce for my general tso...it was like a dark black pepper sauce with some garlic flavor and had oranges in it. Which if you ever had general tso that is waayy off. Also I ordered pork fried rice and I only got white rice. I just ate my incorrectly-made-meal and was like ugh never again--I won't ever go back. They lost my trust and my respect. You need to have respect to your customers and for yourself when you cook. Otherwise everything you do is just awful. read more

I don't like leaving kinda negative reviews but this just wasn't good. I got the vegetable ramen and for the price I cannot justify it at all. It genuinely tastes like instant noodles with frozen vegetables added in. The broth tasted sweaty and I had to drown it in hot sauce to make it enjoyable at all. Bamboo shoots were hard and had this really bad smell, and the broccoli was hard too. Took close to half an hour to get it too, which isn't really that big of a deal for me at all but it does make it just a little worse. I hate to say it but I don't think I'd go again. read more

VERY SURPRISED AT SUCH EXCELLENT TAKEAWAY RAMEN. I got the Miso ramen and a side of fried dumplings and I have to say I'm absolutely blown AWAY. I itch the quality and quantity of food received. The miso broth was dense and rich noodles just tough enough for the ride home NONE OF THAT LIMP SOFT NONSENSE HERE. Chashu pork was on point with thickness flavor and texture. Seasoned eggs were perfect. As someone who heavily appreciates Asian culture, I was beyond excited to find out a ramen shop opened up nearby! Though I didn't order the ramen yet, I ordered 3 of the General Tso Chicken lunch specials, and it's easily the best General Tso I have ever had! So crispy and rich with flavor. The staff/owners are beyond understanding too, I do not eat pork, so they allowed me to substitute Pork Fried Rice and Egg Rolls with Spring Rolls and White Rice! This is definitely going to be my regular lunch spot. I've tried every Asian spot around me and Asian Bistro is just made with more love than others. read more

Tried it our for first time as its close to home. Unfortunately the food was terrible. I had the seafood ramen and it had no taste. We also had spring rolls and egg rolls that also had no taste. The worst thing though was the boneless spareribs that were mostly all fat. My wife had shrimp with vegetables that she said was ok, but the rice was terrible. Also, the prices were ridiculous and they add in a tip to the bill. They just opened and I think they won't be there long. Too many better Chinese restaurants nearby. read more

General Tso's chicken was crispy and fresh. Only place in Bristol CT that I know of that has tako yaki!
