I debated whether to rate this place a one or two. Yes, I know it is an 'Asian Buffet' and can't expect 5 star food, but I really have gone to decent Asian buffets. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them. We went for lunch, and during the week, it's $8.99, and there is a 10% senior discount, and I also saw a discount in a local flyer. The Sushi is pretty much buffet quality, which translates to low quality and pretty much tasteless. The dimsum (potstickers and suimai) tasted like it was made from low grade meat and didn't go past a bite to taste it. I usually eat what I take on a buffet, but not so if it doesn't taste good. All the fried food was extra heavy on the batter, and the beef had that soft heavily marinated texture. The best things I ate were the sautéed fresh mushrooms, although they needed seasoning, fresh green beans, sautéed bean sprouts, and the fried chicken wings. I was hoping the baby clams would be good, but they lacked seasoning as well. The bourbon chicken was dry and crusty, way better at the mall food court. The sesame balls were nice and chewy. You may be wondering why I didn't rate this one star, but our server was great, and I usually rate one star when I get dirty silverware, dirty glasses or dishes, or bugs. Also, my boyfriend liked the ice cream and the cold mussels, so it squeaked by with two stars. Not returning. Came here after seeing the check in offer on yelp, food is just ok like most Chinese buffets, for 16.99 it's not a bad deal, but the restaurant refuses to honor the check in offer from yelp saying "it's not our coupon". Good generic Chinese buffet The food (4/5): Good high quality food. It all tastes real and its not nasty. They cheap out on some of the desserts, but that is expected. If you are hungry and are in the tampa area, this place is a must. Its always hot, fresh, and well seasoned food. Their bourbon chicken is amazing, you have to try it! The staff (4/5): Its a buffet, don't expect great service or to know the serving staff. They bring drinks and they don't small talk so it seems a bit weird at first. Again, its a buffet and this is on par with all buffets. This isn't the best I've been to but its not the worst. The price (3/5): Lunch is a 5/5 price but dinner is a 2/5 price. I could have a nice steak dinner instead of their dinner price. Its kind of an insane jump. You miss the mark and you go from an average priced meal to breaking the bank. The location is not nice enough to charge $17 a person + drink. Its in a shopping mall, looks aren't everything, but I cant bring myself to spend dinner here. It is a newer Chinese buffet, so the place is very clean. I am not a Chinese buffet fan. I only allow to be tortured this way because I was stupid and allowed for hubby to pick the place. The food was good; exceptional compared to many other Chinese buffets. What really caught my attention were the people walking around the buffet stations, wiping up any messes. They made sure that food was always presented in a presentable way. The food kept coming out, so I can only assume the customers really enjoyed it. Here's what you need to know. - Friendly staff but had to take my order three times because she wasn't sure what I said (#37 - Chicken Egg Foo Young $5.75 and Crab Rangoon $3). - The egg foo young came in three large 'cakes' that were kind-of soggy and tasted like they were made without salt (I was hungry so I ate about half of one, that's it). - The crab rangoon was ok. Large portion and tasted like standard buffet fair. Kind-of greasy, kind-of sort-of crab-esque. - No dessert options unless you get the buffet. Bummer. - Restaraunt is clean, well lit and apparently has a wide variety of buffet items. My dining friends all enjoyed the buffet's sushi choices (they even had squid, not my thang but ok) although no one said 'OMG you have to try this!' even once. I ate here on a Thursday evening and found the food to be really poor. The meat dishes (most of them) seemed to be cooked until they were nearly as dry as Jerky. Like chewing on leather. I returned for $10 lunch buffet, and I got the feeling that they may have read my review as I felt the experience was much different than when I last reviewed. Perhaps bc I was seated at a different area, or got a better server this time, but I didn't get the feeling as if I was being watched like before, plates were taken up with reason, and our waters were offered to be topped. I wanted to try the Mongolian stir fry but there didn't seem to be anyone manning the area for lunch although all the food was set out. This very large Asian buffet in Wesley Chapel is named........"Asian Buffet". Well they certainly won't win any points for originality but they do for their selection of dishes. They have everything from the standard buffet dishes (sweet and sour chicken) to the more exotic ones (octopus!). I noticed a large selection of seafood items and they also have a sushi bar. The buffet is so large that they have room for several "western" items that honestly seem a strange fit for an Asian buffet (dinner rolls? sweet plantains??). There wasn't any dish that stood out as exceptional to me but there also wasn't anything that was bad either. It's pretty much just standard Chinese buffet food. I prefer ordering an individual entree when I go out for Chinese but if you like buffets this place would be a good choice. read more

This is a $15 per person buffet. I've eaten here many times. The restaurant is clean and there is a good variety of food to choose from including sushi. The food is tasty, as is the sushi. "Generic" is the best way I can describe the sushi. If you are a fan of sushi, you realize that good sushi is in the $10-$15 per roll price range. Here you are paying $15 for all you can eat and you get what you pay for. With that out of the way, the sushi is always fresh and I enjoy filling my plate and eating it up. The place is clean, the service is generally good, good selection of good tasting food, and the price is right. If you want sushi and are a "sushi snob" avoid this place. If you want to pay flea market price and expect high end food and service, you too should avoid this place. For everyone else, give this place a try. read more

First of all... I hate going to a restaurant on Mother's Day. Not bad... Not great. The service is very good. Very attentive. But it's hot in here. It's in the low 90s today and doesn't feel much cooler inside. The food is average. Nothing special. Didn't find anything that I would rave about. But the staff is very nice. Let's not lie to ourselves. Asian Buffet is a risk that we all have to weight. Not in this case. I visited the Asian Buffet on a Saturday night at 5:30 and the place was full, and they were building a wait list. (lucky for me, I was #1). So that was a positive sign, and The place was CLEAN and well cared for. The food, unlike most buffets the food was hot and fresh.( perhaps my 5:30 dinner time was when they put out the "Dinner" menu) I made my first pass, the Hot and Sour soup was a let down. While there were hints of a great H/S, it was piled down and lacked both the spice of a traditional H/S and was short on the sour as well. HOWEVER, the pan fried dumplings [pot stickers] we cooked perfectly. The spring rolls were much better than the egg rolls. The General Tso Chicken was again, short on a true spicy disc. However the Peanut chicken was a great surprise. The green beans, mushrooms, beef in broccoli, we by far the best tasting disc I had. The sushi and hibachi were nothing that warranted a review, they are what is to be expected. Will defiantly be back to try it again. But as of now, it is worth the visit. Went there with my elderly parent and he slipped and fell on a large puddle of water. It's been over a year and to this day he has chronic pain. The staff was indifferent and put up a wet floor sign after he fell. Besides that we didn't like the food, we now have a chronic injury to deal with. Very good place with lots of things to eat for a very good price. The food was pretty good, with lots of choices. It's an interesting buffet, because it has Sushi, Chinese, Korean (only Kimchee but that's not bad), Italian, and some American food. They have salty food, deserts, and even Pizza. My wife and I can only eat halal meat, or any seafood (since sea food does not get slaughtered, so it is halal for Muslim people). That means that we could not eat any of the meat in this place (pork/ham/bacon is not allowed in Islam regardless), but we still had PLENTY OF CHOICES to eat. The PRICE is GREAT for an open buffet. My wife and I ate for $26, including an order of tea (which cost only $1, what!!!) and a $5 tips that we put. We also had a $2 coupon if you eat lunch between the hours of 11 am to 3:30 pm and they honored the coupon. You don't really need the waitress service, but they do put the utensils and take away the dirty dishes and such. The waiter was very nice and polite. We went on a Sunday morning and it was full, but we still did not wait too long (less than 10 mins wait). We will definitely go there again and again.
