Really disappointing experience when we tried to order online. When trying to place my order I found that they don't take online payments which is really unusual these days. So I closed my web browser and thought I had cancelled my order. The next thing I know I see an email confirmation for the order I didn't place in my email. I called and immediately cancelled my order and the person who answered the phone was very kind and cancelled the order promptly. Five minutes later the manager called me and berated me for cancelling my order. Will not be patronizing them in the future. read more

This is pretty much our go to takeout spot. The service is top notch , the owners are so so kind and sweet. Food is always done super fast. Sushi is pretty good for the price! I like their Lo Mein and Especially LOVE that there are size options. I don't need 3 servings worth of takeout .... And I appreciate this restaurants willingness to offer sizes small and large. Thank you! Save money and calories lol. My only gripe with Asian cafe is they do not provide fortune cookies :/ huge Loss. Why is it that a food industry which built a brand on paper boxes with metal handles has devolved into using nothing but plastic and styrofoam? Styrofoam isn't even accepted for recycling by the vast majority of companies in the industry. But beyond that - the food. The first that hit me was the salt. As I lifted the fork to my mouth, I happened to inhale, and could tell before even putting the food in mouth it was incredibly salty. And sure enough it was. This had to be hands-down the saltiest Chinese food I have ever eaten. For that reason alone, I won't go back. But if the business is reading its reviews, please cut back on the plastic. It's tone deaf to what's going on in the world. And have you cooks cut down on the salt - we can add it ourselves at home, but we can't take it out. read more

This place has been around for years and I JUST started eating here about 3 months ago. All I can say is I wish I would have tried it sooner. The food is absolutely delicious. It's fresh and the ingredients are always on point. Everytime I have Asian food elsewhere I'm ALWAYS let down because this place definitely beats all of the others - hands down. This is my go-to Chinese restaurant in the phoenixville area. Tucked away near the Citadel credit union and wine & spirits in Kimberton, this restaurant offers Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes to choose from. By far by favorite item isn't on the menu (Singapore Mei Fun) but they make it for me every time. Also when I'm feeling a bit lazy or under the weather, I'll buy big containers of rice and soup. Perfect! My son loves their Salmon Teriyaki and my daughter is a huge fan of their California roll (so fresh!) and Crab Rangoon. If I had one wish - they'd carry ginger ale. It's a nice light pairing with Asian dishes and not too sweet. read more

I have nothing but good comments about this place. The Sushi is always fresh and great. The Chinese food is fresh and not the typical Chinese take out. I have tried most of the menu and my favorites are the crab ragoons, bistro duck, Scottie salmon, mango chicken, seafood in curry sauce, chicken curry, chicken lomein, and so on. They have great lunch specials like the sushi roll combo, I highly recommend their Philadelphia roll. Wednesday is $1 per piece sushi and sashimi , great day to get your fill up on! We had vegetable and chicken pad thai. It was good! I was surprised however that my pad thai wasn't spicy - at all. It was my first time ever trying pad Thai, though, so all in all I think it was decent for never having it before. It seemed a bit dry as well, almost like it was lacking a little bit of sauce. But really, overall, it was decent! We also ordered the Gyoza, and let me just tell you they were delicious. With it came what I suspected was soy sauce, but trust me when I say that it's not just any regular soy, because it was absolutely delicious and complimented the gyoza perfectly. I was having a craving for wonton soup and tea on Christmas. Asian Cafe was a restaurant we haven't tried in town and it was open on Christmas so we stopped in! Most of the Chinese restaurants in Phoenixville are terrible compared to other towns we have been too. I think it is because it isn't very clean and it really shows in their food. Anyways, we walked in as a family of four and they were very welcoming. The place was clean and made up quite nice for the holidays. Our server was so pleasant and very accommodating. We had our two year old with us and we were concerned if she would try anything. To our surprise she loved the wonton soup and white rice. She has two bowls of each! The wonton soup has delicious clear broth. It was not overpowering and the meat in the wonton was not chewy at all. It tasted very fresh. My older daughter just drank the broth straight. We also tried the coconut milk soup. I was not a big fan because it reminded me of a casserole dish because it had peas in it. My husband liked it a lot. We also ordered a noodle dish and pad Thai. They were good as well. Overall, we were super impressed with their customer service and fresh food. The wonton soup won our hearts. read more

My family loves getting takeout from "dirty Chinese" (inside joke!) I am a vegetarian and I am not always thrilled with the food. The menu is not that conducive to a great vegetarian experience. I had the Asian Curry and my fiance had the General Tso's. Both were very good. The crust on the General Tso's was perfect and they were big pieces of chicken (not all crust!). The Asian Curry was awesome, spicy! The veggies with my Asian Curry all seemed very fresh (red bell pepper, onion, leeks I believe, ect ect) which balanced the spice with something light/refreshing. I've eaten here a few times, for lunch and for dinner and the food here is just simply delicious. I've had their rolls, which are always fresh and tasty. They have an avocado and peanut roll that I have started to crave. Once I start thinking about it, I have to go there and get it. It's a texture thing. I've had their Thai noodles and rice dishes and everything is equally fresh, flavorful, not greasy, and just right heat-wise. This is a BYOB but there is a wine store next door. The restaurant is located in a strip mall (you're in the suburbs, get over it), but it doesn't feel like a strip mall. The pumpkin walls and dark furniture give it a hip, more urban feel. There is a sushi bar if you feel the urge. Service is attentive and knowledgeable. It's the best Asian in the area, I think. The only drawback is, like many suburban places, they close early, so if you have California friends who are used to going out at 9pm for dinner, you have to eat and run.
