Awesome fry on them and just the right amount of sugar. 8.6/10 Pupu Platter for 2: best bang for your buck if you wanna try a bunch of things for a good price. All the chicken and beef teriyaki was tender and flavorful. Wings and fried shrimp were a standout. Egg rolls were decent. Chicken fingers were more like sweet and sour chicken but were decent. Crab Rangoon was decent. The boneless ribs were a little dry but overall not bad. 8.8/10 Egg drop soup: if you like this type of soup, you'll like it! 8.2/10 House special lo mein: pretty good but the meat/veggie ratio to noodle ratio was a little off. Wish it came with more noodles, but it's not a bad thing that they load you up with some good stuff! 8/10 General Tso's all day combo w/ shrimp egg roll & fried rice: best thing (other than maybe the chicken wings) I had here. Recently stop ordering from Mayflower Chinese restaurant because I am very tired of being ripped off . In the past few years they changed they food containers so that they literally are half the size they were and the quality is poor ; you can see thru the plastic bottom part of the container. They keep raising the prices of their food with every " New Year" and the food is not even that good. Bland and unflavorful . Our neighborhood is close to the area Hospital and severely lacks a good affordable Chinese food restaurant with a good menu,fair prices ,great tasing food and decent quality containers. The pandemic has not changed the quality and service and be assured proper health precautions are being taken. Very friendly folks working here. Super easy to call in take-out with no errors and the food was ready in a timely fashion. Everything came home in tact, including the hot and sour soup (no leaks!). Piping hot and excellent portions. Loved the crab rangoon, as others stated. Egg roll was killer. Sweet and sour chicken was a bit too greasy, but my daughter didn't seem to mind. Ordered from here over Phoenixville spots because of the rave Yelp reviews and because last time I ordered from two different PXV spots it was disappointing! This wasn't disappointing at all. Me, my mom and my friend ALL really liked the food of which we ordered A LOT. The seafood delight, beef broccoli, general tso's, mu shu pork, chicken dumpling soup, and crab rangoons were good. We also ordered fried rice but that was accidentally missed from our order so it was credited for next time. The best way to describe this food is meeting someone who's average, but everyday they wear ironed clothes, do their hair and really just bring their best selves forward. They're still an average person, but they do average really well. That's this Chinese spot...they do average Americanized Chinese food really well and don't screw around and cut corners. I'd order from here again in a heartbeat! They delivered to downtown Phoenixville. It took about 45-50 minutes which is funny because the pizza place across the street takes as long. We tried this place when we drove by one day looking for a Chinese option. Not Impressed!

Yummy Chinese food. My GF and I have had take out from here a few times now. Always warm and fresh. I have chosen to have some dietary restricions, gluten free and no pork or beef, my GF is a pescatarian. Mayflower's menu can accomodate both of us with many options. Huge portions, we easily get two meals out of our selections. I can't comment the beef and pork items on the menu. The three each chicken and tofu and vegetarian based offerings were nothing short of great all three times so there is consistancy in the kitchen. It seems like a family afair, the people who greet you are cordial and attentive. There will be a fourth time and probably more. Never tried delivery, I feel much better picking up my food. This resturaunt was a beacon of normalcy for us during the craziness of the pandemic lock down and makes it that more special for us. read more

Turns out they are a pretty good option for reasonably priced food made with fresh ingredients. For $6.75(?) I got a Hunan Shrimp lunch special with an eggroll and pork fried rice. I was driving past Royersford & checked Yelp for a Chinese place. The other reviews of this place were good so I decided to give it a shot. It is as good as everyone else says! The food was delicious, service was fast, the food was hot, fresh & flavorful, how can you go wrong? They are mostly centered around take-out/delivery, but they do have two 4-person tables, a TV playing daytime TV (I was there at lunch time) and apparently have free WiFi (I didn't check that out). I had the Beef w/Garlic Sauce w/Pork Fried Rice and Hot & Sour Soup for lunch. Total cost with tax was $6.30. They have a self-serve cart with free hot tea, chopsticks, utensils, sauce packets, napkins, etc. Apparently all food is packaged "to go". Even though I told the cashier that I was going to eat there, they packaged it in styrofoam & plastic. I'd love to go back but they really aren't near me. New ownership. Tried to order food on several occasions using their website. Had done this many times with previous owner. Under the new Naha gene t can no li get order and pay at the door. I choose I called order in and no problem. When calling a child answered and took the order each time. The online pricing and phone pricing is different. They charge more if you call it in. Also they got the order wrong twice. In addition the food from previous owner tasted better. I have ordered the exact same thing from both. They must be using a different recipe. While stuck inside my apartment doing work last night -- a chilly, rainy Saturday -- I quickly identified Mayflower as the best Chinese delivery in the area according to Yelpers. The delivery was relatively fast (only about 40 mins, maybe a hair less), which was terrific given my complete lack of willingness to leave my warm, dry apartment. The woman on the phone and delivery man were both polite. I didn't think the food was any better than average Chinese takeout, but on the other hand, I certainly did not think it was worse. I had to reheat my soup and lo mein a bit, but that might have been in part because the weather was so awful and I like my food steaming hot. The portions were exactly the sizes you would expect. It doesn't appear that it is possible to order online at all at this point, which is a bit of a bummer. I will most likely order from them again nevertheless because Mayflower delivered (literally) exactly what I wanted and expected on a dreary Saturday evening. Since moving to the area, this is our go-to for Chinese takeout. The staff is friendly and the food delicious and reasonably priced. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 younger kids) can get takeout for about $24. The only dish we've had so far that we weren't crazy about was the Hunan Chicken. It was pretty much just chicken and vegetables in soy sauce. Our favorite so far (other than our stand-by General Tso) is the Schezuan Triple Crown. The Ginger Chicken is great as well. Their boneless spare ribs are good, and offered "dry", not drowning in the sickeningly sweet sauce most other places use. Another big bonus is the ability to add or sub out options on their combos. I have enjoyed Mayflower Chinese for almost 10 years. Excellent eggrolls that are never too greasy and always taste fresh made. Their Crab Rangoon is my absolute favorite and again, fresh made and fried to order. I enjoy Shrimp Mei Fun and it is consistent in flavor and quantity. Won Ton soup has an awesome stock and the pork dumplings/won tons are very filling.Their variety and attention to detail is why we enjoy them often even after we moved to the almost 5 mile limit for delivery. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and they remember you so it makes for a better experience when returning. Considering the fact that I myself used to work for a Chinese restaurant for 12 years this was tough. I've been searching for a decent restaurant for a while.... Because I will constantly compare! however this is better in a lot of categories not sure what they do but they're doing it right. I know what goes on in those kitchens, and I can tell you that this is the cleanest I've tasted within a 15 mile radius.
