It was dinner time 6:30pm so we did not have much of a choice. Asian Chao is a pre-made buffet option spooned out by the staff. It did not look fresh and the meat looked dry and tough. But I was not in the mood for our other options of deep fried chicken chain food so I ordered beef with broccoli and fried rice for around $13. The meat was as bad as it looked - there wasn't much so I was able to eat around it. The broccoli was fairly good and not soggy or overcooked. Nate chose this option for a recent meal on a layover at ATL, while I ordered from Paschal's. We shared both meals so I got a chance to try the "sesame chicken" which we thought was actually orange chicken? It was breaded and sauced like an orange chicken would be, so not sure about that. The portion was large and fried rice was decent. I was really hungry, but I really liked this. This was our lunch spot for our layover in Atlanta. Very disappointed with our choice. I ordered a one-entree course (Spicy Thai Chicken) that usually comes with white rice ($7.69?), but I substituted the lo mein noodles for an additional 99 cents. My husband got the beef broccoli with white rice. Total came to $20.44 with tax. Pros: the line moved relatively quickly, and VB prices were reasonable. That said, the rest of our experience was sub-par. As fir me, (1) The "Thai" chicken was in name only. Thai cooking often has subtle spices -- lemongrass, basil, coconut milk, fish sauce, but none of these were in this dish. It tasted like typical Food Court Chinese; (2) granted, I ordered "spicy" chicken. However, the spiciness was generated by liberally dumping red pepper flakes on the dish rather than incorporating chilis in the recipe when originally cooked. It was too spicy to enjoy; (3) most of the dish was carrots, onions, and a very small amount of chicken; (4) the lo mein was edible, but greasy, lacking any additional ingredients, (such as vegetables) and was tainted by all of the red pepper flakes in the entry. My husband and I almost never throw away food, but in this case, neither of us could tolerate it, and we threw away about 2/3 of it. For me, overall 0-1 stars. As for my husband's food, he characterized his beef broccoli as lacking in flavor, very sparse with meat pieces, and featuring overcooked broccoli. The white rice was prepared well. For him, overall. 2-3 stars. Two final notes. (1) the restaurant is NOT eco-friendly. The meals were given in styrofoam containers with plastic utensils or chopsticks; and (2) this is a busy airport, and tables to enjoy lunch were limited. Okay, hear me out. I've had my fair share of mall/airport Asian restaurants and can safely say that most are really bad. My favorites are ones that cook (or at least warm) dishes like chicken teriyaki in front of you. Even then, though, the dish is always too sweet, or vegetables soggy. This place though? Apart from high end sit down restaurants, they have the best chicken teriyaki I've ever eaten. The sauce is thick, but not too sweet. The vegetables are lightly steamed with a sweet glaze so they still have a bite. BUT you have to ask them to make it fresh for you! They say it takes 15 minutes, but it takes more like 5 to 7. My only complaint, is they have very limited hours of operation. I wish they were open later. Also, it's worth noting, that you have to go to the location near gate A3. The one in the B concourse doesn't make it fresh. read more

Layover in the morning when I needed something to eat and here I found this place. Normally, I rely more on yelp pics more than the reviews. Checked yelp and their omelet pics amused me. Walk in to this place ordered the omelet with sausage and mushroom. Luckily, the place was not packed, let me clarify it, it as packed when I was passing it going to my gate but then I went back right after and the line was gone. And so, I placed my order, stood there alone watching them how they do it. I was impressed how they make my omelet right in front of me using real eggs, and they have this technique of grilling the mushroom and the vegies and it was done so quick. I also ordered pancakes. My order came out to be not so pricey, let's just say airport price but on the affordable side. The staff were very courteous. I watched as they scooped the plain Lo Mein and the dry chicken into a medium sized foam container. For the price, I was hoping for a bit more food.
