I was in between flights. I needed to get a bite to eat. So, I came here to get rice and veggies. The Asian lady was so kind, polite, and beautiful. She had on her make up so nice and appealing. I complimented her and she complimented me right back. I went to my terminal to wait for my next flight. I ate every bite! It was very delicious. I went back to her to tell her that I enjoyed the food. She smiled and thanked me for letting her know my thoughts. I will come back here again, when I go through this airport.

Mediocre at best. I only got in this line because it was the shortest and I guess I know why. Only 4 dishes to choose from. Fried rice May as well have been white rice- no flavor. I added duck sauce. I chose orange chicken because they just put it out- the other stuff didn't look great. Service was fine, despite the gal at checkout having no personality. I guess we're already paying so why does she need to have one?

We were here on a Saturday morning waiting for our flight to Denver. We had to leave early so we didn't get a chance to eat before getting to airport. All of the restaurants in Concourse B that were open had long lines, except for this one. That should have been a warning. I ordered the avocado toast with egg and 2 sausages. You would have thought they had to pick the avocado and wait for the hen to lay an egg with how long I had to wait after paying! Almost 20 mins!!! And the food wasn't great at all! I could barely get through the toast and the meat was way too salty! Writing this review to help me (and you!!!) remember to not stop here again!

Asian Chao is a disgusting place in the airport. Bad food and very bad prices. Worst thing to eat there. Garbage. Totally not worth it at any price. Few Asian choices are in the airport. In Terminal A is this. To be honest there's not much better in this terminal. It's not cheap. Though it tastes cheap so it's a ripoff. I had the Mixed Vegetables because that was the only vegetarian choice. It's about $9 for some mediocre broccoli, carrots, and onions. The sauce is disgusting and salty. It doesn't even comes with rice, which you have to pay extra to get. There's not much else there. Small portions. Tastes old and like they haven't put in any seasoning. Bring food to the airport. It's better. Totally a waste.

Food wasn't bad at all but I could tell it was not made very fresh - still came piping hot, so much so that a customer complained!

I know no one goes to the airport and checks yelp to see where to eat. The airport is like a social experiment you are trapped in and have to see how to survive. But people really SHOULD check yelp for the restaurants at the airport because it will save you money and a lot of pain. Before boarding my flight home I needed to eat something so I looked around at restaurants in my terminal. I only had a very limited amount of time so I couldn't wait long or go to another terminal. I stopped at a Popeyes who's food while not the best for you is freshly made. The Popeyes line was crazy long because of the whole chicken sandwich thing that's been all over the news so I didn't have time to get food there. Across from Popeyes is this Chinese food restaurant. I thought okay, I can deal with some mall type Chinese food. I was the only person in line and when I ordered the woman behind the counter rolled her eyes at me and then slopped my food in the container like she was feeding a sow. If I didn't know better you would have thought we knew each other and she had a personal grudge against me, that's how bad it was! She didn't even attempt to mix the buffet style plates and threw a huge piece of rice that was from the corner of the container into my box. The rice was hard as a rock. The food was really bad. The chicken seemed to be old and refried multiple times. I picked out the veggies and ate some of the rice and threw it away. When I got home I got the worst case of food poisoning ever. It made me sick as a dog. You are better off taking thirteen $1 bills and throwing them in the toilet one by one that eating at this place! Unless you want to sit on the toilet for the next 2 days!

The smells pulled me in and the taste left me disappointed for my entire flight. Friendly staff but below average Chinese food. The spring roll was probably the best thing I had but they're probably frozen. Don't waste your time, there are a plenty of restaurants at ATL.

The absolute worst Asian food I've ever had. Even getting a fresh dish didn't help. The fried rice tasted like coffee grounds.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.

But the green beans with pork were my favorite. The pork medallions were so tender. The salt and pepper shrimp was lacking of flavor. The corn chicken soup was great, so was the hot and sour. But their wonton was a hit and I crave more. The restaurant is nicely preserved in time I feel. There are so many celebrities with photos who have come and gone from this world. Drinks: I got the strawberry lemon drop drink. It was good and did come with the vodka flavor with natural strawberry syrup. It was good. The vegetable dumpling was good! On to the main entree was the House Lo Mein. It was just average and not the greatest I've tried. It took a minute before our server came back. To me it needed more flavor, seasoning and it didn't have any spice what's so ever! I wouldn't get it again. The thing I found annoying/unprofessional was the staff taking forever to give me and my friend out checks. We came into the establishment an hour before they closed. At that time a lot of people were still in the place. However, by the time we received our checks we were the last people in their establishment. The other individuals were the workers cleaning up. We tried to get a server to come to our table sooner but wasn't successful. This is my sole opinion but I wasn't over impressed over food.

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
