What started as a pleasant airport meal quickly turned into an unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable experience, all because a tired child resting during a long layover was treated like a problem. Initially, we were greeted by the host, Charles Wallas, who was very kind at first, and our server was lovely. We ordered breakfast, everything felt normal, and at first the experience was completely fine. My children and I had been traveling through the night on only about three hours of sleep after missing our connecting flight, and we were stuck on standby for the rest of the day. We were hungry, exhausted, and simply trying to get through a very difficult travel day. While my kids were still eating, I opened my laptop to do some work, and my 10 year old daughter rested her head on the bench because she was tired. That was when everything shifted. Charles came over and said, "No camping out." I honestly thought he was joking, so I laughed it off. At that point, we had not even paid our bill yet, and my children were still nibbling on their food, so I did not think he could possibly be serious. About five minutes after we paid, while my kids were still finishing their meal, Charles came back and said again, "I said, no camping out." I told him I thought he was joking. His entire energy changed, and he then said we had been there for two hours, which was not accurate. It had only been a little over an hour. He followed that by saying, "This is not a lounge." That completely changed the tone of the experience. I understand that restaurants need table turnover if they are busy (this was not), even in an airport. But this was handled in a way that felt unnecessarily rude and lacking in empathy. My children were not being disruptive, not making a mess, and not bothering anyone. My daughter was simply exhausted and resting her head, and I was quietly doing some work while they finished eating. Airport restaurants are not the same as neighborhood restaurants. Travelers are often dealing with delays, missed connections, long layovers, exhausted children, and very little sleep. Some people are in and out quickly, while others naturally take more time because they are stranded between flights. That is a normal part of airport travel. I have spent time in many airport restaurants during long layovers and have never been made to feel like I was being pushed out in this way. After the negative interaction, I asked to speak to a manager, and Charles told me that he was the manager. It was only after speaking with another staff member that I learned he was actually the assistant manager, and then the actual manager, Nova, came out to speak with me. That added to my frustration, because it felt misleading on top of an already negative interaction. To be fair, our server was lovely, I tipped her 26%, another staff member was very sweet to my children as we were leaving (gave them extra fortune cookies). Nova (the real manager) seemed genuinely taken aback and agreed the comment was unnecessary. What made it worse was the way the interaction ended. As we were leaving, Charles said, "Have a nice day," but his tone came across as sarcastic rather than sincere. When I did not respond and simply shook my head, he repeated it again in the same tone, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I am sharing this because the issue was not the food, and it was not the server. The issue was how quickly the kindness disappeared and how a tired mother and her children were made to feel unwelcome. The food just wasn't good. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and it came out barely warm. The (tofu?) was clearly premade and room temp. It tasted as if it was just added after the dish was prepared. The ice tea tasted off. The server took my order and brought the check with the food. There was very little checking back and when I tried to flag her down, She just turned and walked back to the kitchen. It was clear that this was normal as I wasn't the only customer trying to get her attention. The quality of food has really dropped over the years. This is an EXCELLENT meal option if you have time to blow in the ATL airport. These pictures are from two visits, one in early May when i dined in and one today when I ordered to go. Let me hit you with the highlights: --the staff is delightful, they'll definitely make you laugh --the Brussel sprouts in May were some of the best I've ever had. They have replaced the lettuce wraps as my go-to item, and were so good that I made a beeline for PFC this morning while I waited for my 9:49am boarding time this morning. Yes, I ordered sprouts for breakfast! --the service when dining in is super fast, even when the restaurant is busy. Now, about the breakfast: I went for sprouts but left with two items. I wasn't willing to not order my Brussel sprouts but I was willing to try a breakfast item alongside it. The dish I ordered had Mongolian beef, potatoes, peppers, onions, and an egg. Stopped here between my layover. The hostess was very nice and so was our waitress. I had the honey chicken and my husband had the beef/broccoli w fried rice. Although I enjoyed the honey chicken, there was something about it that kept making me cough and lose my breath.I think it was the garlic "gas". Was really strange. There was just a bit too much of something, but it was still good. And as for the fried rice, it was missing something-garlic butter and more soy sauce. PF Chang food quality has gone down. I frequent PF Chang because the food, although not authentic, is tasty and unique. On my last visit, i ordered my regular: chicken lettuce wrap and wonton soup. Neither tasted like my previous visits. The wonton did not taste like wonton and the broth was bland. The chicken lettuce wrap, including the sauce, tasted different (not in a good way). The only saving grace was the service. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and fast. Overall, i was very dissapointed. read more

The abbreviated menu here is perfect for the airport traveler as it allows them to get the food our quickly. The portions are also a size where you will likely not have leftovers, but will leave full. There was a wait when I arrived up the escalator in the terminal to the restaurant. If you didn't see the sign, you would never know its there as the escalator is tucked back in the corner out of the way. Since I was by myself, I was able to sit at the long bar that is open to the outside of the restaurant. I was seated next to a pilot. There is an outlet at every spot so this is a good place to charge. It took a bit to get a menu, but once I got it, we moved at lightning speed. Within 5 minutes of ordering my Mongolian beef, I was eating. The dish was piping hot so I know it's made to order. It tasted like a normal PF Chang's and I was in and out in a little over 30 minutes. read more

Great place to stop while waiting for our connection. The lettuce wraps were yummy. Large, fresh, crispy lettuce leaves and the filling was cooked perfectly. They were out of the spring rolls, so we tried the pork egg rolls and those were great also. They offer 9 oz wine and the prices are reasonable. Inside is set up for single travelers who need to plug in and require a little table space for a laptop, as well as tables for groups. It was quite chilly inside, I had my jacket on my entire meal. Busiest airport in the world - yes. Most to do at any airport in the world - also yes. Got here early with more than 3 hours to kill, and it was no problem finding a restaurant that would let me post up with my laptop and my charger to work for awhile while grabbing a bite to eat without rushing me in the least (thank you P.F. Chang's on Concourse A). This is my hometown airport, and even though I live in Portland, OR now, it will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm sure it can probably be a little difficult to navigate if you're unsure of the layout. But once you've got the navigation down, it really is a breeze. Stopped by PF Chang's in the Atlanta airport recently on a particularly crazy Friday with bad weather delays. They have ample bar seating as well as tables for dining. I ordered a glass of wine and a spicy tuna roll. The roll is served with sriracha on the side for some additional heat. For airport food the restaurant was well priced(each were about $10-12) and the food came out relatively quickly. This location is actually found at the top of an escalator in the middle of the food court so you can miss it if you're not aware it is there. read more

Love this chain, had a long lay over so decided to take the family for a great meal. We got seated by the manager and he was super friendly. He was so hospitable but was a little ashamed at the way his hostesses were not up to par to his level of customer service as they had an open bag of lays chips on top of the menus for the customers. Our server Harvey was also very nice and took our order right away. The ambience was a little chaotic as it seemed there was a lot of extra servers just standing around where we were seated or if that is their area but all you can hear was their conversations about other tables and other off work topics. After the meal we were fueled up and ready to look for our connecting flight. I showed Harvey my Rewards Number and promo to get complimentary lettuce wraps if we purchased a meal bigger than $50, which we did, but he stated he did not know how to add that reward number or promotion. He also suggested that I just email PF Chang's so they can sort it out, after I paid full price. Did not want to speak to the friendly manager as we had limited time and knew he would of probably resolved my inquiry but I decided to follow Harvey's instructions and email the PF Chang's website and leave this review about the whole experience. Amazing shrimp fried rice. Service, not so good. My dad ordered a 1/2 sweet unsweet tea, and got some mango tea instead. George was over the top fantastic! Our flight was delayed for a short at the awesome ATL airport. There were only two seats on one side & one-seat on the other side of the fully jammed pack bar so Mom, Dad sat across from me.. No big deal. George happily accommodated us w/ his wonderful personality & service. All of the staff there made us feel like we were at our neighborhood PF Changs. George made it feel like Mom, Dad & I were sitting together, even though we were across the way from each other. Our drinks, delish crab wontons & check all came out to us time efficiently being that in an airport, time is of the essence. I came to this PF Chang's after a long flight. I had a great experience here. The waitress was very quick and my food was served quickly. This PF Chang's is great because it has more of a dining seating area as well a more casual seating area which makes it easy for those that just want a quick bite. Great experience. Dined here on 12/14 around 1pm and had a wonderful time. I wanted to go somewhere away from the noise of the airport, ear and get some work done while I wait for my delayed flight . This was the perfect space. The crowd here is very different than the rest of the airport because most people are in a rush but the group at the restaurant was mostly a relaxed crowd so it was very intimate and quiet. My waiter and greeter were super welcoming and sweet and made sure my entire time there was well spent . I ordered the orange peel shrimp and added chicken. It was delicious. I was so full and still had more to take with me when I left. Even after I finished eating , I was there getting some work done and I didn't feel rushed at all. I definitely recommend eating here if you are ever at Hartsfield Jackson!! I'll definitely make the my new dining option whenever I come through. read more

Why is it when a major national restaurant chain opens up a location inside an airport the food quality is compromised? I don't have the answer but PF Chang's in the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson airport is no exception. Pros: My server was pleasant, :-) and very prompt. The restaurant atmosphere is actually nice and almost upscale. It's located on the second level away from all the hustle and crowds in the A concourse Negatives: Poor food quality. I ordered the Kung Pow chicken. It was dry and the flavor was almost good. If my order was hot, it would have tasted better, but is was simply warm. This experience is unfortunate because I have enjoyed PF Chang's near our home. Recommendation: don't go unless you're NOT a picky eater. read more

This is the most disgusting place. You can smell it when you walk in. Had broccoli with chicken and the chicken tasted like dog food would (obviously frozen and thawed with premade sauce) and broccoli was RAW! had not even attempted to be cooked. But the worst was the roach leg I found in my meal. I did not mention anything to staff-what are they going to do? Overhaul the whole place? Just steer clear. They have included up-charges in their pricing, most noticeable in their Gluten Free Offerings - This place can get packed, but they seem to move people through.
