Was going to order online but then saw the prices were jacked up so ordered in person for cheaper. Watch out if you order online the prices are all raised more than the menu prices, so you're better off just calling in your order. Also, no option to select fried rice instead of white rice with entrees online. I ordered a couple items. One shrimp entree and one chicken. Both were supposed to be spicy. Neither were very spicy. The shrimp were overcooked making them hard to eat. Not the greatest quality of food for the higher prices then a normal to go Chinese food restaurant.

Nice atmosphere. Whatever we ordered was packaged up to go, but they did let us sit and eat and brought us our drinks/refills. -we wanted lettuce wraps appetizer while we looked over the menu but they said the whole order had to be all at once. Order the Bell Pepper & Onion dish! It looked like a rainbow compared to the hibachi plate... I'm giving 4 starts bc as a foodie, I looked for whatever appeared to have the most veggies on the menu, yet mine had the least of everybody at my table once we got our food. Really embarrassing. We went for lunch and we all got combos. Loved the egg drop soup and white rice. The fried rice looked good too but it doesn't have veggies.

I saw this restaurant on a delivery app. I saw some dumplings on tv this day and was craving some. I have never had food from this restaurant but the reviews were decent. I ordered the Pan Fried Potstickers and Dry Fried Eggplant. Dry Fried Eggplant (Spicy) as: Dried chili peppers, scallions, cilantro, Sichuan spices. I was pleasantly surprised with this dish. It was crispy fried eggplant with a little sauce on the bottom. The flavor blooms in your mouth with just a little kick. The cilantro and chili flakes are the star of this dish. I will most definitely order this again. Fried Potstickers: (8) ground chicken & veggies stuffed in dumpling noodle. These were so good but you have to heat them up. The sauce comes with it is bomb! I have no idea what it's called but it just makes you want to keep dipping. Loved the dish There are more pics of dishes on this lost because my daughter went to this place the same day and brought home some more items off the menu. I liked everything. Some portions are small though.

Bamboo Flounder Fish This had good texture and flavor; even the little veggies mixed in with it

Liked- Liked- Liked- Liked- Liked- Liked- Liked- The menu was UNEXPECTED in a good way. I was happy to see so many fish options... a surprise! Traditional Chinese items but Szechuan style too. A lot of vegetable options too! Wonton Soup... They had the RIGHT WONTON fried noodles!! BAMBOO FLOUNDER FISH!!! Very flavorful I was so happy and didn't want to stop eating it. Good taste DISLIKED / DISLIKED / DISLIKED / DISLIKED / The front looked a little disorganized so it took me a moment to focus since id never been in there and didn't know how to proceed. Menu's weren't visible/obvious so I had to scan every piece of paper thinking they were the menus.. Not points off for that just sharing a little visitor experience.

Ordered food from Hao. As we do regularly. When I picked up the food I asked the cashier for some HOT OIL. He said they're $.25 each. I asked really? Then said "No worries thank you" and left. When I got to my car I realize I just spent $91 on food from this place and they are trying to charge me $0.25 for some hot oil. This is ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourselves. If I was spending less than $20 and you charge me $0.25 for some hot sauce I would be okay with it but not when I spend as much as I spend.

12/15/19 - This was my first time stopping by since this place opened a few weeks ago. Located in the Walgreens shopping center in Camp Creek Marketplace. This place was upgraded/remodeled and looks very nice on the inside. Formerly Papa Chow. I took my good to go, orders House Pad Thai. Very good, plenty of meat and was hot and made to order. Service was friendly. Looking forward to trying other options next time.

The cuddle fish was well fried and very crispy, the sauce that came with it tied everything together. Little sweet, little spicy, little hot of twang. Was amazing. Mapo tofu was extremely good, was exactly what I wanted after a long day. Smooth tofu, lots of spicy and tingly goodness, and the rice with it was perfect. Service was good, was really quick for pick up. And the place is super clean and really well spaced out inside. I would dine in here if I could have. Everything was DELICIOUS. The scallion bubble pancake came out HOT, like hurt-to-touch HOT. It was crispy and airy. It was served with a side of mild curry sauce. The noodles, lamb, and eggplant came out hot temperature-wise as well, but they were also hot spice-wise, especially the cumin lamb. The spice levels cleared my sinuses, LOL. But though I struggled with the spice, I kept on eating because all of the dishes were delicious and flavorful. The tender lamb was served on little skewers. The dry fried eggplant was super crispy; the pieces were shaped like spicy fries. I liked Grandma's noodles even more. The noodles had that bouncy, chewy, hand-pulled feel and were covered in vinegar & hot chili oil. I appreciated the portions. Despite being an appetizer, Grandma's Noodles came out on a large plate, and for being small plates, the eggplant and lamb were pretty filling. The service was also friendly and attentive. My food came out quick, and the staff constantly kept my glass of water filled. My only annoyance was the $1 charge for the bowl of white rice, but the food and service more than made up for that small, inexpensive annoyance.

We were a party of 5 and found both the food and the service to be inconsistent. The Food: Most dishes were mediocre or worse. The Three Cups Chicken (1/5) was the worst I've ever had. The Hong Kong Style Shrimp (1/5) was just bland, tasteless fried shrimp. The Lamb with Scallion (2/5) was far too salty. The only "average" dish was the Spicy Beef and Tendon (3/5), but one decent dish can't save a meal this poor. The Service & Billing: The service was quite slow during our visit. We waited a long time for the check and eventually ended up packing our own leftovers and heading to the front counter to pay so we could head out. I was also surprised to see an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, especially since it was calculated on the total after tax ($23.07 tip on a $106.80 subtotal). While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. Drinks: I got the strawberry lemon drop drink. It was good and did come with the vodka flavor with natural strawberry syrup. It was good. The vegetable dumpling was good! To me it needed more flavor, seasoning and it didn't have any spice what's so ever! I wouldn't get it again. The thing I found annoying/unprofessional was the staff taking forever to give me and my friend out checks. We came into the establishment an hour before they closed. The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!
