Been here a couple times now for dinner ever since they opened. Buffet is massive and has a variety of different stations from sushi, cooked foods, bbq/grill, Peking duck, dim sum and SO much more! I rmb when they first opened and they had unlimited lobster & oysters for $50 in this economy- they had me sold but unfortunately there's a limit of 1 per person for lobster, oyster, and durian. Still with the amount of food I think it was worth it! I also thought it was pretty cute that they had a snack station that had chips, gummies, pocky and Asian crackers i ate growing up - it was so nostalgic Service was friendly. A Chinese buffet that was just okay imo. Service is good. The place is HUGE but very little diners. Because there weren't a lot of diners, there wasn't a lot of food, which I get since portions don't need to be as big. The food was just okay here, nothing really stood out to me. They have lobster and steamed oysters per person with a ticket and someone that mans the station handing them out. I think the sushi section was probably the best section. They have a noodle bar but I thought the bowl of noodle was way TOO BIG for a buffet portion - this is cooked to order by the staff. The stand out items were definitely the sashimi, the salt and pepper shrimp and for dessert durian. The durian is also per person with a ticket so if you love durian, this is probably a steal for you. Dessert section is mostly mousse cakes too which I don't love. Overall, it's just okay for me. Came around for a late lunch. Arrived at 1:50pm and were advised that last call is 2:30pm and they close lunch at 3pm. No problem. There was still a decent spread of food at this time, minus your typically dinner time additions. Nice: Peking Duck, Dim-Sum, Desserts. Not so much: More veg, no chicken wings? Went for the 5pm opening for dinner. There were a few people waiting already. Once open, the admitting people in was a bit unorganized. On being seated, we were given a ticket for the lobster tail, 1 oyster and a piece of durian. We were also told of the 1hr and 45 mins time limit, which they do let you know time is up in 10mins. Service was very attentive with the serving staff continuously clearing the dirty dishes or getting any requests. The food quality is just OK. The dessert options were lacking. Just a lot of mousse cakes of the same flavour. No standard buffet dessert like tofu fah, waffle or crème caramel. Within 1/2 hour of leaving the restaurant, let's just say, my body was rejecting the food all night. Had to take a tablet to help stop it. Came here again, this time for lunch. As you would expect, given the price difference , several dinner items weren't available such as sashimi and roast beef. I think most of the items are still the same though? So unless you were planning to stuff yourself with sashimi and other exclusive items, it's about the same. Asian Dragon Buffet is a tasty and spacious buffet with an assortment of seafood to go with traditional Chinese food and surprisingly good quality sushi plus loads of fruits & desserts! We were pleasantly surprised the first time and happier the second time. Decor is decent and service acceptable. We've now come here for both weekday and weekend dinner after 5pm which included lobster and sautéed oyster (one per adult) on occasion. These were relatively tender the second time around, and we were served an abalone too for the holiday festivities. The popular offerings included snow crab legs, whelk, decent crawfish, blue crab and more seafood. I also tried the typical Chinese BBQ pork & ribs , lamb skewers, noodles, dim sum, Szechuan fish, and Peking duck. I especially enjoyed the sushi station which was constantly pumping out good quality sushi rolls & nigiri plus thick cuts of salmon, thin octopus slices plus more sashimi. That along with a good selection of fruits and desserts totally won us over. They even had a portion of durian for those who ventured to try. Despite buffet dinner being $54.99 per adult, this was worth it. Skip it or hit it? This has become our pick for buffet thanks to the quality of the food. This restaurant is enormous in size and I would say puts the Mandarin to shame. I see the reviews are very hit or miss. People saying the food lacked flavor. Everything I tried tasted great. I did go right at open and stuck to mainly sea food and dim sum dishes. I brought a girl friend with me and she was so impressed. Where else can you have sushi, dim sum, , crab legs, Peking duck and so many good options all in one ?! The restaurant is quite big, buffet counters are nicely spread across the restaurant with adequate spaces to move around. Booth seating with clean well maintained cubicles. They offer half lobster (not too small, ~200-220gm per half), and one decent sized oyster per person on weekends. I'll start with the huge positive: the price. $35 for a weekend buffet lunch which includes dim sum and sashimi is pretty much unheard of. Unfortunately, the quality of the food left much to be desired. I first went straight for the har gow, of which there was plenty - of dough, that is, filled with a tiny piece of shrimp that was almost stale. The seafood (lobster and crab) was in a similar sad state and tasted, as my parents said, like they had been frozen several times over. The salmon sashimi was decent with thick, rich cuts - unless you were unlucky enough to pick up the few pieces that hadn't finished completely thawing. Everything else we tried was either rather salty or unreasonably sweet (why are the vegetable dumplings sweet??). However, I did find their fruit (especially the watermelon) quite fresh and there was a good selection of desserts (I recommend the egg tarts!). Something that did surprise me was the service, which was actually excellent considering that buffets or AYCE restaurants are generally not known for great service. All of the waitstaff were friendly and extremely efficient in clearing plates, refilling water, and even answering the occasional question. Some of the more popular dishes were at times slow to be replenished, but nothing major. Overall, this place might be worth a first try for the curious, but unlikely to attract returning customers looking for more than mediocre, uninspired food. read more

There are many many different items here compared to Dragon Pearl and Asian Legend buffets: crabs, lobsters, lots of seafoods (during lunch hours too!) lots of dim sum options. There's a freezer with ice cream you can scoop and ice cream bars! Sashimi is self served and not served to you at 3 pcs a time by someone else. Located in the south west corner of Bridlewood Mall. There is a huge parking lot attached. The restaurant is very spacious with an assortment of booths and tables. Saw a few VIP rooms for those special occasions with a private enclosure The decor is very simple and not sure what the theme is. In the centre of the restaurant is the food stations. Salads, dessert, hot dishes and sushi station. In the back is the BBQ/ Peking duck and grill stations. The food is a very confused assortment of very traditional Chinese to some very fusions dishes that have an identity crisis. The flavouring is very bland and lacks freshness. The lobster, oyster, shrimp and grilled meats did not have any sweetness from the product and I found the lobster and shrimp to be mushy but no smell. The waitstaff is very prompt and almost too prompt that they take all your tableware away when you are not remotely finished. They do push you to get drinks (not tea/ water) The restaurant does not have a Liquor licence so do not expect any beer/ wine/ cocktails to wash the food down with. For the price point, I would rather goto the other similarly priced restaurant down the street with a more unique ambiance and food variety that is fresher to the taste buds. read more

If you love buffets, Asian Dragon Buffet located at Bridlewood Mall in Scarborough needs to be on your radar. Mom and I checked it out recently, and honestly... the varieties that they offer totally blew our minds. From thick cut sashimi and teppanyaki to dim sum, soups, salads, and tons of hot dishes, we couldn't decide where to start! The flavours for each item was seasoned well, not overly salty and done well for a buffet. But the highlights of the night has got to be the unlimited Peking Duck and Snow Crab legs for sure. On weekends, they even have lobster and oysters (limited per person), which was such a treat. And yes, dessert is a must, their selection is huge and absolutely worth saving room for. They even got a "snack bar" with chips and crackers, and candies that you can literally snack on! Price-wise, it's pretty reasonable for all this: $49.99 weekdays and $53.99 weekends. Though they have a seating limit of 105 minutes, it is still great for family dinners, birthdays, or just when you want to try a little bit of everything. Worst buffet experience ever. The cost of $66 person including tip, is really outrageous. The food was not even hot, most of the food was warm. One serving of 1/2 lobster and oyster, 1 piece of Durian, this was the only good thing I had at the buffet. Everything else was just garbage. For example, deep fried chicken wing had a bad smell to it; daily soup was full of MSG; the fruits selection were limited, they were not ripe, the strawberry were the cheapest bland and sour and it had a bitter taste; New York Striploin was tasteless, absolutely no flavour; curry fish balls were tiny and overly spiced; dim sum was warm and dry, the shrimp in shrimp rice noodle was very tiny shrimps; clams were overly salted, to the point it was bitter; mung bean soup, which is a hot Chinese dessert was bland and not sweet at all. I only came to this restaurant was based on the advertisement on Instagram. Talk about misleading, a lot of the items on the advertisement was not even available. Dragon Pearl and Mandarin had better selection of food than this place. All and all, just a bad night. After leaving the restaurant, no more that 1/2 hour, by father in law had to visit the washroom. With in 3 hours, he visited the washroom 5 times. Never in his life has he gone so many times within the time mentioned. Never again will I return to this place. I will not be recommending anyone to place. Really not worth your time or money. read more

Finally went here to try out the buffet. It is next to the Chinese supermarket at Bridlewood mall. There are plenty of parking spots. Ambiance - 4/5: the place was spacious. The washrooms were clean with multiple stalls. There is a diasbility washroom Service - 2.5/5: we were seated quickly. As it was cold, we asked for hot water. Tea would be extra cost as with pop. We had to ask for our water to be refilled a few times. I stayed away from the sushi bar. There weren't a lot of customers going to the counter. The person behind the counter rubbed his nose, then wiped counters before attending to more food. Food - 3/5: They filled the foods up at the buffer quite frequently, although there isn't a large selection. The food was decent, slightly saltier for my taste. I went for lunch to the recently opened Asian Dragon Buffet, located in Scarborough's Bridlewood Mall. It's located in the south end of the mall, upper level, in a space that used to be KMart, a discount department store. Did I just give away my age? I worked in this mall many years ago, managing a camera store. With seniors in our small group, we were seated right next to the buffet stations. It was conveniently close but inconvenient to get in and out of the booth. A regular table with chairs would have been better for us. We also got there soon after opening and the wait time at each station was a bit longer than anticipated. The restaurant is very attractively decorated and spacious. The buffet stations are huge, with lots of choices, including soups, salad, congee, sushi, grilled foods, hot items, and more. Everything looked good. The dinner menu also includes additional choices, like Peking duck and lobster. I explored all the food stations before starting with my usual soup and salad. There were three choices of soup and a surprisingly small choice of salad items quite a distance away. That was fine since there were so many other choices of food. I tried to taste a little bit of everything but there were too many choices to do that. They had all the popular dishes, plus a few that I haven't seen at other buffet places. Overall, everything I tasted was good to pretty good, although there were no standout favourites. With lots of choices, good quality food, nice ambiance, good service, and good prices, including discounts for seniors and for paying cash, this was a really good value. For $25, I shouldn't be expecting much, but the food was below average. Very limited options and food was lukewarm. The dessert bar was sad. Very dry cakes to choose from. Ice cream was good because it was factory made. The buffet seemed spacious, but the seating arrangement felt like I was sitting with the food rather than inside a dining room. This was the first time visiting this newly opened Asian buffet. This location is located at Bridlewood Mall at Warden and Finch Ave East. I visited on a Friday evening and made reservations. They allowed me to reserve for 5pm or 7pm. Otherwise walk in only. Arrived just before 5pm, and a bunch of people were around the waiting area for their 5pm reserved seating. This was acceptable. We were quickly brought to our tables after checking in. When entering the main dining room area, I was very pleased when the grand spectacle of the dining room. The high ceilings, modern elegant designs of the walls and layout of the buffet areas reminded me of some Las Vegas buffets. Very happy with the half lobsters that they provide, which is truly all you can eat. I had 3 and a half whole lobsters during my dining experience. I would have eaten more, but after eating a bunch the lobster tail meat starts getting too filling and I wanted to start eating some other foods. The women's washroom featured a extra lower sink for young kids to ensure they wash their hands properly. A nice touch I really liked the lobsters they provided, and they had special items not seen at other Asian buffets such as egg tarts, Peking duck, oysters, and more. They have a 10 percent special if you pay by cash, and they have numerous different tables for different number of guests. They have a number of booth seating that can easily fit 6 people, and many lather banquet style circular tables for a family style dinner. The ice cream was delicious, and fresh. They had both a sushi and sashimi bar with lots of variety. Unlimited, and you can serve yourself and take as much as you can eat! The only line up was for the lobsters, but after the initial rush, there wasn't a big line up. I would assume during the busy reservation times of 5 and 7:30pm, there's the initial rush for the first 45 mins of people lining up for the lobsters, but after that, it's quick as people get full from the lobsters and there are plenty. Even the line ups for the lobster wasn't very long, I think the longest I waited was 3 minutes. I liked how spacious the place felt with the high ceilings. For the price and value of the all you can eat, and especially not super duper crowded this is the place for all your holiday buffet feast with your family and friends. Out of all the buffets I've been to, I can definitely say this is by far the best one. They were doing a lunch special for AYCE. Pricing was not bad at all. They have a wide selection of food to choose from. If you share a post on social media, you get a free mango drink and it's per person not per table. It was my first time seeing Asian snacks available at a buffet. They have shrimp crackers, lychee jelly cups,, candies and chips. We have been driving by Asian Dragon Buffet multiple times. Finally, today marks their second day of soft opening. Soft opening discount 20% off when you pay cash. Very spacious and nicely decorated. We came here for dinner. Table for 4. They have all you can eat siu mai, lobster, fried shrimp, these small conch. Soup and the list goes on. The salmon sashimi was fresh and they even have hamachi. Tuna, sweet shrimp, different rolls. A series of spicy dishes such as spicy fish. A peking duck station and noodle station. The list goes on. Wide selection of food, huge venue. There are lots of negative reviews which made me not to come, but i felt everything is beyond my expectation. The service is attentive, the food is yummy and freshly made. I really lived the sushi and sashimi, very surprised to see they serve sashimi during lunch time. The sushi bar has lots of choices and they are all very fresh. The sign says "Dinner $50 (Fri-Sun)", but after tax and a 12% tip, it somehow turned into over $74 per person -- and I only had water. Maybe the crab legs came with a gold warranty, or maybe the service charge sneaked in quietly. Either way, it's hard to enjoy dinner when the real buffet is on the bill. Finally gave this place a try on early Father's Day on Saturday for 5:30pm. The buffet is very spacious and doesn't feel overcrowded. I like how they spread all the buffet lines so it doesn't feel clump like other buffets. Their food options I'd say is pretty good as well but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to eat more than half the items offered because each person get tickets for 1x FULL lobster and 1x steamed giant oyster with garlic... We were a table of 9x adults and most in our party don't eat this, so it all went to me to utilize. You get red ticket for lobster and one steam oyster and yellow ticket for their cold rock crab like cut in half for you. I got to try their small sample of peking duck, crispy roast pork, vancouver crab cooked in the ginger green onion sauce, snow crab legs. They have a lot of offerings that I've missed. They also had thawed out frozen durian which is unique in its own right as no buffet offers this... You can also eat here for 1hr 45mins compared to other buffets offering less time. Overall I'd say the selections of food choice here is very good offering as I missed out on the sushi items, dim sum stuff, grill sections, most hot food station, soup station, dessert station while consuming mostly seafood items making my money well spent... Only issue is this was the only thing I ate all day, but I was in the washroom a few times throughout the night after buffet so I think there may be something off but I can't point to what really. IMO its better than Dragon Pearl, or Dragon Legend and I think it stands out being one of the best buffet options for $54 pp... Seniors over 60+ pay $43 and kids under 4 is FREE... I went for a Sunday dinner after their grand opening month deal finally ended. I was intimidated by all the lines during September but in comparison, the amount of people I saw when I went in October contrasted greatly. Prices are average, comparable to other AYCE places in Scarborough. I like how spacious and high ceiling the buffet is. The decor is also very luxe and beautiful. There's no limits on lobsters, oysters, Peking duck, and other foods. They do have staff monitoring the stations which I believe is fair with how some people can get very messy. They are ready to help which I appreciate, like with the ice cream station and helping me roll my ice cream. I highly recommend the sesame ice cream! The food selection is plentiful though I'm not sure how dinner differs from lunch. The sashimi selection is beyond what I was hoping for and probably my favorite station. Unagi on a stick was also a pleasant surprise. I am also very happy with how soda is included in the price making this restaurant all-you-can-drink too. Please note that the reason this review is 4-stars and not 5, is because there were quite a portion of foods that I couldn't eat due to the sheer spiciness of the food. The cooking style is very ethnically Chinese and when it's spicy, I mean it's very spicy. However, this is all personal preference. This place is huge and brand new. It's still a soft opening, but this place is packed. The food is amazing and every single person here is joyfully eating. There is an extensive sushi and sashimi area with a huge number of choices. In addition there is cold crab legs, snails, shrimp etc. today the hot buffet has lobster, clams, frog legs and so much more. The Korean chicken is ok, but worth a try. The Peking Duck is also very good, but the lineup you get some is very long, my husband is very much enjoying it. In the same area skewers are available and a variety of grilled items. There is lotus root, and greens. I wish the veg choices were more extensive. The service is excellent. Our beverages were filled when close to empty, Plates are cleared very efficiently. A very nice bar that appears to be prepared to serve just about any drink. Considering some of the clients and cars outside single malts should be available. VIP rooms are available for small to large parties. The large VIP room in front of me appears to have its own server. There are at least 9 of these. Senior discounts start at 60 years old. This place would be good for large family gathering to work parties. There are many large round tables and long rectangular tables to accommodate any group. The place was spacious and food was decent. However, the service was terrible. From the front desk until paying the bill. Maximum 2 hours but there's a huge line up everywhere because of the wrong placement of the buffet and desert table. And please add more serving spoons and silicon tongs on the peking and bbq tables. I didn't even get to the ice cream bar because of the looooong line up! The ice cream bar should be separated from the other dessert table. Moreover, they are short of staff. It took forever to get our drinks and the bill. the ice tea and pepsi tasted like water! Dinner is supposed to be 50$ each but our bill ended up 172$ for 2 ppl.
