While we waited for each course, the restaurant revolved, giving us views of the three waterfalls and Niagara. On the non- moving ledge were facts about the falls and the city inside plexiglass. I enjoyed reading about the daredevils who went over the falls and the history of the city. Megan and Mary were a fantastic service team. They kept our water glasses full, took away plates as we finished each course - salad, the main course and dessert - and even took our photo. Everything was delicious! When I mentioned it was my birthday, they insisted I take home a birthday cake. They also asked Douglas, the piano man, to play the HAPPY BIRTHDAY song for me. When we got on the elevator for the top of the Skylon, we got off to a view that was breathtaking. I thought the view of Niagara Falls was the perfect end to our perfect dining experience - until we got back to the hotel. At the hotel I opened my birthday cake. My friends and I went for an early dinner, and it was really cool getting a 360° view of the Falls as the restaurant slowly rotated. The service was friendly, and since you're constantly moving, everyone gets a chance to take photos with the Falls in the background. Dinner is a three-course meal for $65 (salad, entrée, and dessert). I ordered the prime rib, and while it wasn't bad, the food was pretty bland. For the price, I was expecting a lot more flavor. One nice perk is that your dinner reservation includes access to the Observation Deck afterward, so you can take even more pictures. There very few tables that can accommodate 5-6 adults. We had a booth for 5 and my knees were ready to leave after nearly 2 hours of dining. Food: it was okay for the price. The 8 oz. filet was cooked as I requested and the veggies were fine. Salmon was undercooked as my fellow diner prefers a more fully cooked through filet. Caesar salad lacked flavor as the dressing was bland. Meatballs were dry. Skip the desserts, they're nothing special. If you've had Michelin meals, this is a pretty dinner for mediocre food. Note: there is a MINIMUM $52 CAD per person and each diner is REQUIRED to purchase an entree OR 3 salad/soup/appetizer combo. What an experience! We had such an amazing dinner at Skylon that I would recommend anyone visiting Niagara Falls to make reservations and eat here. We made reservations for 8pm because we wanted to be able to see the city as well as the Falls in the evening and what a view. We had a window seat and it was fantastic. The ambiance in the restaurant is incredible as well. We had two waiters who were very attentive all evening. For our appetizer we ordered Shrimp cocktail. They were large and very fresh. For dinner I ordered a Lobster Tail and hubby ordered Lamb Chops. My lobster tail was very big and filling and it was cooked perfectly and my husband's food was divine. If you're going to one of the two restaurants or to the observation tower, there's a single elevator with glass walls which allows for a spectacle during the trip. I'm so glad we did this. Instead of battling the crowds and getting soaked on the Maid of the Mist, we opted for the Skylon Tower and lunch and I have zero regrets. The views were amazing and breathtaking. Service was better than expected, and the food was surprisingly divine. My dining companion had the surf and turf while I had the steak, and both were surprisingly good. We were expecting poor quality, overpriced fare--you know, the usual tourist trap stuff, but were pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was. Portions were not excessively huge but weren't quite tapas-sized either they were essentially just right. Warm bread and butter was brought before our meal, and we filled up on this. Our server kept it coming, and I was happy for that since it was delicious. The views were unbeatable. The restaurant slowly rotates as you eat, so your view constantly changes it's an unbelievable experience that I highly recommend. I only went up to the observation deck, so I can't speak to the restaurant. But the deck was decent, yet unspectacular. It was one of the last few things I did, so by the time I had done it, I had seen Niagara from every angle possible, so it really didn't offer anything that I hadn't really seen. That doesn't mean it's bad, or don't do it, because it's not. It's just that, again, I had already seen just about every angle and side of the Falls. Wow. That's all I can say. We had an amazing experience at Skylon Tower for dinner! Our servers were incredible! They answered questions not only about food but about tourism, peak seasons, and anything else we could think of while we were up there. The food was phenomenal and the Early Bird Dinner was a hit! We ordered the Prime Rib and the Cordon Blue, both were fabulous and our plates were practically cleaned when they cleared our table. In addition, we opted to upgrade our desserts to other desserts available on the menu. The view was phenomenal! I am scared of heights but it wasn't terrible, the elevator ride was tough but you're able to face the other way. With dinner we also were able to go up to observation deck, since it was early March it was absolutely freezing and windy due to weather on the other side of the falls. In the warmer months I'm sure it would be phenomenal to take a walk around the outside to look. There is the option to stay indoors as it's enclosed in glass when you first get off the elevator, there's also a gift shop at the top. We had dinner here with a large group as part of our trip to Niagara Falls. The service for the amount of people in our group (50) was extremely efficient and fast. We had preordered everything but our drinks. We mostly all got cocktails and they came out with relative quick timing. The servers were attentive and listened to our requests for how we wanted our steaks or prime rib cooked. The sides were pretty good and included sautéed carrot purée and we also started with a small salad and fresh bread and butter. We had plenty of butter to share. Only complaint was the salad dressing was a little too light on the salad. Could have used more. Overall we had a really nice experience here. You can't beat the view of the falls and the revolving floor. Side note: It's a bit inconvenient to use the restroom here as the elevators take a while. The overall experience was great. VERY touristy! Didn't expect the souvenir shops and pictures at every turn, but this place definitely figured out ways to maximize the opportunity to extract dollars from you. To get to the restaurant, we rode the glass elevator that gets to the top in about 52 seconds. We were greeted by the host and promptly seated at a table with amazing views of the American Falls, the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, the Great Gorge, the Niagara Wine Region, and even the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. We did the three course early dinner that includes baguette and butter, mixed green salad, and chocolate mousse chantilly for dessert. For entrees we had the Roast Prime Rib of Beef au Jus - Prime rib slow roasted cooked perfectly to your liking, paired with a creamy horseradish sauce. Beef Tenderloin Strips Stroganoff - Strips of beef tenderloin sautéed in a cream sauce of mushrooms and white wine on a bed of linguine pasta. My servers (Alex and John) also made the experience even more memorable. Alex asked if I was celebrating a special occasion, and I told him I was celebrating both my birthday and my graduation. He brought out a slice of cheesecake with berries, and it was perfect. Not one berry was tart, and the cheesecake had the perfect consistency. It was such a thoughtful and delicious way to end the meal. After dinner, I went to the observation deck to take more pictures and also purchased the Skylon 3D/4D movie about the Legend of Niagara Falls. TLDR: Great for the experience, food is mediocre. We made reservations and checked in downstairs before heading towards the elevator, where they offer to take your photo before you head up. A changing station is available but on a different floor so you will have to take the elevator up. They were very accommodating and gave us a large space by the window. We went for the Early Dinner Menu ($55) which comes with a salad, main, and a dessert. Of the 5 choices for the main course, two were unavailable. The bread service came first but it was pretty bad. It was cold, hard, and chewy while I was expecting warm, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. However, the salad and main were decent so I'd give that a pass. Skylon Tower turned out to be one of my favorite experiences in Niagara Falls. At the time of our trip, simply taking the elevator to the top was CAD 19 per person. We did not opt for dining experience. Elevator # 3 (often called 'bug') mounted outside, takes 52 seconds to get to the top. On a clear day, you can see the skylines of Buffalo and Toronto. The tower features an indoor/outdoor observation area and two restaurants. There are some food and shopping options on the first floor. Also, on the basement level, there are some video games and more snack options. Fact: Skylon Tower was designed by the Toronto architectural firm Bregman and Hamann, which was inspired by the Space Needle in Seattle that was constructed for the World's Fair in 1962. read more

If you are looking for a quality steakhouse meal, you will not get that here. The quality of food does not match the price of the food at all. The stuffed mushrooms tasted as if they were previously frozen, Tomahawk Pork Chop was very dry and had minimum chutney. The salmon dish was actually really good along with the veggies and may have been the best dish we ordered. Regarding the service, I am not sure how to rate it.
