They have a new wing/section/room that opened near the entrance and it's removed from the main (darker lit) dining area with all the tall wooden tables and chairs. This new section doesnt feel on brand though the table is a lot bigger, it feels like sitting here you're kind of cast off from the whole restaurant. Food remains great, service is quick like usual, no complaints there.

February 5, 2026 - I finally decided to come around and try out the legendary Dragon Pearl buffet. There was a decent variety of food. Everything from mussels, shrimp, mixed veges, noodles, ribs, fish, sushi, chicken, mashed potatoes, beef, bulgogi, Peking duck, eel etc etc. My favourites were probably the Peking Duck, mussels, and roast beef. Unfortunately, the sushi was not the best quality. I noticed a bit of blood in the salmon sashimi so I did not eat that. I guess it's more of a westernized Chinese food. My friend said it was not what it used to be. He went about 7 years ago for Chinese New Years and said the food used to be better and have better variety. This was my first time so I don't have a baseline. But overall the food was still good quality and enough to satisfy most people.

Came on a Friday night and was very glad we reserved a table prior to coming. The walk in like had at least 10+ groups. It was my first time coming to Dragon Pearl and I was impressed! Highlights include the unlimited crab legs, Peking duck wraps, sashimi (my favourite was salmon), and the AA steak freshly seared and sliced for you. Food quality felt like it was on the higher side compared to other Asian buffets, and the service was friendly and swift with removing plates. Dinner was ~$55 pp for adults and given the quality of food provided, I think the price point was justified.

We took both sides of our family here for a Christmas dinner treat, and it turned out to be a great choice. We went on the weekend, so everyone was able to enjoy AYCE grilled oysters and received a coupon to redeem one half lobster tail. We arrived right at the start of dinner with a reservation and were seated quickly. The venue filled up fast with other families celebrating Christmas, and there were long lines at the door shortly after. The grilled oysters were amazing, and we made it a goal to grab at least one with every round, lol. The garlic grilled oysters were by far tastier than the cheese ones. The lobster tails were a decent size and not overcooked, especially nice with the butter. While the lobster tails were not AYCE, there was a seafood boil style dish with unlimited lobster claws, which we definitely took full advantage of. The overall selection was great for the holiday price we paid. There was a nice variety of sushi, including salmon and tuna sashimi. The Peking duck was juicy and delicious. They also had prime rib, though that was unfortunately pretty dry and tough to chew. Service was excellent throughout. There was an area we initially thought was a stage, but it turned out to be a Christmas photo op spot, and the staff kindly took some great family photos for us. Everyone left full and happy, and if you know, you know, pleasing Asian parents, especially with food, is no easy task, lol.

I've been wanting to try out the G8 Afternoon Tea for MONTHSSS after seeing the hype around this place and it did not disappoint. For $42, you can order anything off the afternoon tea menu AND you have access to their lunch buffet too. As for their afternoon tea menu, each person can choose 3 mains, the small dishes/small bowls/dessert is unlimited, and served with jasmine tea. I LOVEEE their dessert menu, I would honestly come back just for this Must orders: - 5 Flavour Duck - Butternut Squash Scallop - Tuna Tataki - Hamachi Ceviche - Sichuan Pepper Gong Cai - Bangkok Charred Pork Jowl - Steamed Tofu Chawanmushi (Seafood) - Calligraphy Brush Pastry - Strawberry Daifuku - Mango Sticky Rice

Overall, a pretty solid AYCE Chinese buffet. They offer a wide variety of dishes, including Peking duck, different types of sashimi, roast beef, a seafood boil, and more. The dessert selection is also huge, with options like mango sago, waffles, tanghulu, cheesecakes, and plenty of others. They even serve cooked oysters with cheese or garlic, and everyone gets half a lobster. If you're a seafood lover, this place is definitely worth checking out. During the holidays, the nighttime price is $55 per person before tax, which is quite expensive, but the food quality is pretty good for an AYCE buffet. I visited when they first opened and they're definitely much more organized now. They limit the number of guests, so it's less crowded when getting food. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance. The restaurant has plenty of seating, with tables for both large groups and smaller parties. One thing I really liked is that they have a sink near the food area, so you can wash your hands before grabbing a new plate. The staff always came around clearing plate and refilling water

My family and I visited Dragon Pearl Buffet to celebrate a birthday. We came in at 4:45pm which was 15 minutes earlier than our reservation. There was a long line which we took as a good indicator that this place was going to be good. Their buffet tables had a great variety of food options, including duck, sushi & sashimi, dumplings, seafood and even a lobster tail per person for dinner. The lobster tail itself was okay but we enjoyed the shrimps, chicken and dumplings. The steak was cut-to-order right in front of you but we found them rather dry and tough. This could be because it has been under the heat lamp which overcooked it. We were looking for the oysters as those were advertised but unfortunately, they didn't have them at the time which was a disappointment. Overall, it was a great buffet experience. It was a lot better than your typical buffets so I do recommend coming here for a special occasion. They had traditional Chinese decorations which made the place aesthetically pleasing. The service was pretty good. Although we did have to remind them about our drink order as that took quite awhile.

    peking duck plate

Came back again for my gf's mom's bday. Honestly, round 1 is pretty much a bunch of cool items I find interesting (this time around it was the grilled scallops with vermicelli) and then I start doubling up on plates of peking duck starting from round 2 (3 or 4 wraps per plate). The bbq pork ribs get honourable mention from me because the meat's actually pull off the bone (even though the flavour doesn't beat true southern bbq). The thing I like about the peking duck station at this buffet is I can grab as many duck slices as I want per wrap and as much spring onion and sauce as well. Call me weird, but I like to overload my wraps with sauce. The duck skin is obviously not the crispiest but it's crispy enough and the meat is not dry which is a welcome surprise. But yea, I don't even know how many plates of peking duck I ate on this particular visit as I think I was so focused on fisting the wraps but I think it was ~ 8 or 9 plates? (w/ 3 wraps per plate) And then for dessert had about 6 large ice cream scoops (the scoopers are in heated water now so management wisened up on that). Peking duck is the best food item at this buffet by a mile hehe.

First time here and came for the G8 Afternoon Tea. [Good] Osmanthus Earl Grey Latte - Not overly sweet, both osmanthus and Earl Grey flavours came through. Was nice and refreshing. Five Flavour Duck - The best of the 3 mains you can choose. Nice flavour, good cook, and orange tang comes through. Bangkok Charred Pork Jowl - So good we ordered multiple plates. Love the bounce and the sauce on these. Hon. Mentions - XO Chili Sauce Wonton, Sichuan Pepper Gong Cai, Signature Hand Roll, Spicy Tantan Udon, Pineapple Cake, Strawberry Daifuku, Mango Sticky Rice, Seasonal Fruit Panna Cotta [Meh] The other 5 mains - None of the other mains were particularly tasty, most were not even hot coming out of the kitchen so temperature was an issue. Goji Chinese Yam, Wine Marinated Grapes - These were kinda unique but the flavour profiles were not for me. [Worth it?] Borderline. Maybe I'm a bit harsh given all the good dishes I listed but the actual hit rate is only around 50%. We tried almost all the items on the menu and I listed only 3 standouts, one of them a drink. Service was really friendly and excellent. You also have access to their buffet as well but I was too full to eat more dishes from our there. This adds to the value a bit and so I think it's worth a try. It's an interesting take on afternoon tea with small dishes that were all nicely plated. At the least it's IG worthy!

Came for dinner on a weekday, we got a plate of lobster for birthday celebration when pay by cash, we were actually expecting ayce lobster but this would do. Good quality food compared to a lot of ayce or buffet places, service was not bad but wasn't as attentive (took them a while to come clean up or change plates), although I liked that the restaurant wasn't super loud for such a large room.

I came here on a Tuesday with my family, it was our first time trying out this buffet because they were doing a promo for seniors. We made a reservation for 12:30. We already got there about 15 minutes before and there were already so many people, the line up was so long it was out the door. Luckily we made a reservation so the wait wasn't too bad, we were able to get a table after 20 mins. They offer a wide selection of food and dessert. Everything was quite fresh. Loved the whole decor! Will definitely return.

Went today as party of 5 for mom's 83rd birthday. Had made reservation last week, after not having been there for almost one year. Upon entering, total crowded chaos and most troubling was standing in front of three hosts and not one would give eye contact. Yes, they were busy. But hi and a smile would help. The entire experience was not enjoyable like it always was since it opened in 2010. Overcrowded with patrons where there is no space to even get the food! Only one table side for most food items whereas if they had two identical offerings on each table, flow of people may have a chance. To top it off, I have never felt more rushed (not by our server) but the other staff sent to linger over our table then appearing with credit card machine before we were ready to pay. Yes, I am aware of 1.5 hour limit and we were just approaching it at 3pm - they stop serving food by 3:15 today. Ladies room was a mess by customers leaving toilet paper, serviettes, and paper towel all over floors in and outside of toilet stall area! Or server, Jason, was lovely. However, AK other staff were unhappy, officious, and rude. What used to be my favorite is now one I cannot bring myself to ever attend again.

    Sarah P.

Overall a 3.5 - The Dragon Pearl Buffet is a popular spot for all-you-can-eat Chinese cuisine known for its vast selection of dishes, including sushi, dim sum, seafood, meats, vegetables, and desserts. I came here recently for their weekend holiday menu (available until January 5, 2025) which includes one half lobster tail per person (must present ticket to redeem), streamed scallops, and abalone, along with their usual items such as Peking duck, and prime roast. The overall quality of the food was ok, but varied depending on the dish. However, a buffet style meal made it easy to cater to a large group with varying palates. The restaurant was quite busy when I arrived on a Sunday evening so reservations are highly recommended. The staff here were all friendly and efficient. Note: they offer a 20% discount for seniors 65 and older

The grill serves everything from cheesy mussels to grilled pineapple to roast beef. The sushi station includes unlimited sashimi and a limited selection of basic rolls. Recently they have renovated the buffet area. Each kid who dines with them are provided 10 tokens to use at the claw machines in house! My favourite was the sashimi section and it was regularly refilled whenever I went to get more food. Personally, the highlights of the buffet is the seafood and the herbal soup. They even have lamb skewers in the hot food section! Overall, a good dining experience and service was adequate. The servers came around to pick up plates and check in regularly. Received our drinks in a timely manner. No major complaints except restaurant was a bit dark where we were sat so it'd be nice to have a bit more lighting.

When we had first arrived, we were told that it would be a two-hour wait, and that we would need to have a pager with us at all times that would be used to notify us once a table was ready. We weren't able to get a pager immediately as they were all being used therefore, we had to wait at least fifteen minutes before we were able to get one. Once we had that pager in hand, we waited about one hour for our table, which was actually not as long as we had expected. Upon entering the restaurant via an escalator from the first floor, we were pleased to see how picturesque it was. With the large windows showcasing the horse racing at the time, along with the tables that boasted their own private television screens, we were impressed with how wonderful and inviting everything looked. Upon being seated, we were given programs on the betting available for the evening's races, which was detailed with everything we needed to know. We also noticed that there was a middle-aged woman coming around, asking us if we were interested in placing bets during our dining experience. The diners went wild during the races, which created an exciting, yet sometimes, loud atmosphere. In terms of the dining, I was pleasantly surprised with how many options were available. Since it was only $12.95 (with a Winners Circle Card), I was blown away at how much food was placed within the buffet area, with an area dedicated to bread with a variety of spreads, another area with salads and other cold appetizers (such as artichokes, cold cuts, cheese, etc.), a hot table (with such items as lasagna, pizza, chicken, fish, and more), along with a dessert section, which boasted a wide variety of desserts, and a few dishes of fruit. All of the items were well-prepared, and everything tasted fantastic, with each item at the hot table coming onto my plate hot (temperature-wise), which is rare to find in a buffet. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at this buffet, and would highly-recommend it to anyone who wants delicious food, at a low price. The only thing that I didn't like was the waiting period, and how slow it was, considering that many guests usually sit there the entire evening, watching the races and eating for hours on end. Although this is definitely the idea of the trackside buffet, it could have been the reason why we were so delayed in getting to our table. Nevertheless, it was worth the wait, and will definitely be going again!
