I got it medium which was good, but it is not as hot as other places medium if you are calibrating. The person who took my order was cheerful and helpful. The food was great. I liked the crispy tofu. I ordered a Thai Tea to go for some energy on my hike. One tip for locating the restaurant, it's on the south side of the building. My gps didn't have that level of detail. read more

The seating is a little weird with tables along the outside walls mostly. Definitely does not feel fung shui. Ordering is at the counter like cafeteria style and you get your own water and silverware. Menu is the top hits of Vietnamese, Lao and Thai food. Order: Egg roll noodle salad. Portion is definitely smaller than other Vietnamese restaurants. Taste was good not great. Egg roll was crispy and fish sauce was good. Papaya salad Thai style medium spice. Definitely has a kick. Flavor was bright and delicious. Probably the best bite of the meal. Bahn mi sandwich - grilled beef. Bread had the perfect balance between crunchy and chewy. Beef flavor and marinade was a little flat compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Overall: It's ok in a pinch if you are in the area, but there are definitely better options. read more

I first went to the Asian Duck Cafe in Minneapolis last month and the food, staff, and overall atmosphere was top notch! So when I found out there was another Asian Duck in Plymouth that was closer to me I was super excited to dig into the dishes I had before (Beef Banh Mi, Cranberry Cream Cheese Wontons, Fried Dumplings, & Lao Sausage Fried Rice) and to also try something new. Well the same dishes I ordered again didn't hit like they did at the other location and they don't serve you the food when you dine in, instead you grab each dish at the counter when it's ready so your basically carrying hot dishes back and forth to your table. I will say the redeeming factor is the staff is very friendly, the space is a lot bigger than their other location and the new dish I did try was the red curry which I overly enjoyed and will get again! I also want to note that I would give this place some grace as they just opened up recently and I believe it will get better! read more

I stopped by this Thai/Vietnamese restaurant for lunch today and really enjoyed it a lot. I was politely greeted right away when I came inside. The atmosphere is super casual and there are very few sit down tables (6 tables I believe). Rather than it being full service you took a seat with a menu and then when ready to order, do so from the counter which I don't mind too much. The food came in about 10-12 min after ordering which was great. I ordered the Thai/Vietnamese style coffee to drink, which is always like drinking dessert. It was really delicious and I'm glad I ordered it. To eat I ordered the Cranberry Wontons as an appetizer and the Pad Thai with chicken (my go-to anytime I try a new Thai restaurant since I like to compare between this place and some of my favorites. The wontons were delicious, though not exactly what I expected. The wontons themselves are regular cream cheese wontons. Where the cranberries are is in the dipping sauce. They were delicious but did wish the cranberries would be in the cream cheese as well as the sauce and also wished I'd been given a bit more dipping sauce. There was enough for about 4 of the 6 wontons. The Pad Thai was really delicious. Was a nice combo of sweet and nutty just how I enjoy. The portion size was really nice. I did ask for spicy, but it wasn't very spicy for my palate. I don't want Minnesota spicy, I'd rather have Thai spicy. Overall I'm really happy that I stopped by for lunch today. The delicious food and the very friendly employees will definitely have me stopping by again soon. read more

I was sad when they left the Plymouth area but was thrilled they returned to a smaller location. They are mostly take out but have a few tables for dine in. The owners are so sweet and greeted me warmly recognizing me as a former regular. I got the cranberry wontons which are always a hit and massummen curry with beef. I just recently noticed this newly opened restaurant and have been wanting to try it. Yesterday, I ordered takeout. I just ordered eggrolls and the cranberry wontons. My order was promptly ready for pick up as promised, and both the eggrolls and wontons were excellent. When I picked up my order of the staff greeted me promptly and were friendly. So overall, I would say I had a really good first experience and will definitely be back to try more items on their menu. read more

So happy They are back! When they closed their Plymouth location. We tried every other Asian restaurant in the area, but to no avail nothing quite me up to their standards. Now to be fair this is not as good as New York takeout. But this is as good as it gets in the Twin Cities and boy are we lucky to have it in the western suburbs. My husband adores their pad Thai. We are super fans of their pork eggrolls. I love the Laab Beef ( fun to play with your "salad") can't go wrong with the Bahn Mi and my son's favorite is the Duck Lo mein. The curries don't differentiate themselves and are a little soupy - but we found we like the yellow curry best. Pick your heat / my husband goes mild, I go medium and my son hot.
