    Fresh shrimp spring rolls

First time here. Restaurant is a little cold so dress warmly in the winter months. Service friendly and a couple reminders but we got what we needed. Two wait stay so they are tag teaming which can be overlooked with requests. My green curry had the right amount of spice level and the creaminess coconut milk is what I like for Thai curries and pairs nicely with a scoop of white rice. The fresh spring rolls were ok. Overall, a good place with about a dozen tables so it's small. Prices are ok

My appointment ended around 5pm and I didn't want to be stuck in traffic. We decided to go eat at thai food nearby. I came when they first opened before covid and food was delicious, food is still delicious now. I love pad thai and will order that at any thai restaurant. My daughter being the hungry one ordered everything she was craving. Home made chicken noodle soup had delicious broth and mango smoothie tasted like real mangoes. Restaurant is spacious, dining room extends towards the back, which is usually a party area or for bigger parties. And service was great.

HAVEN Asian Eatery deserves more recognition other than their delicious food. Service & hospitality was A1. Our first time here and I'm surprised it took us this long to come. We got there a little before opening @ 12 and everything was made fresh to order. We ordered wide spread, but not pictured since we were so hungry. Sai Gok - Herblicious w/ a side of jeow mak len. Eggrolls - Well-balanced w/ pork & veggies stuffing, fresh and crispy! Potstickers - Deliciously hot & seared! Beef Pho - Always a hit when you want a lighter bone broth during a hangover. Beef Laab - My favorite dish! Spicy, savory, with a tang!! Served w/ a side of sticky rice & broth. I really appreciate it when restaurants minced the meat vs using ground meat. I must say again, their service really made the experience 10x better. The owner was very attentive to accommodate our needs right away! He even gave us free watermelon at the end to wash down our meal. My sister said, "Dang.. I feel like I'm eating at someone's house!!" Too bad we don't live in the area, but this is what exactly what I want when I'm craving authentic Lao food - simple, homey, affordable but flavorful. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Got DoorDash with Haven Asian Eatery! It was so delicious and the food traveled so well! I got the green curry and Thai tea. I got the medium spice level and felt it was perfect for me! I will definitely be eating here again!

    2 Spring Rolls

This time I wanted my usual Spring Rolls, which are perfect for the next day. As I mentioned before, the peanut sauce is thick and packs a nice heat. I also tried Drunken Noodles with Chicken, a wide flat noodle, some chopped veg, and wonderful sauce. I ordered medium heat and this place gets it just right! The nose runs and the scalp prickles with sweat when the heat is perfect. In my MUCH younger days, I did enjoy my spice level at hot, but Granny can't eat that anymore! ;-) I tried the excellent Vietnamese Egg Rolls, three crispy fried rice paper rolls stuffed with veggies and served with a fish sauce I can literally drink, it's so good. I will definitely add these now to every order. It's good that I'm eating them at home because I drench them in fish sauce and it's embarrassing what a messy, sticky eater I become! lol. I return to this food again and again. My only wish is that they had a Hot and Sour soup.

Pad Pak Stir Fry with chicken

Overall happy with the lunch I ordered! The host greeted me upon arrival and I chose to sit by the window. The environment was welcoming with a fire pit and greenery. The Pad Pak sauce was surprisingly sweet. Not unpleasant but not needed. I was looking for the wok flavor but couldn't find it easily. The Rad Na sauce was also sweet. The noodles were difficult to eat with a fork. I have to say this was not my favorite dish. My favorite dish hands down was the sea bass curry! Delicious! Flavorful, balanced, fish cooked well! Proteins: cooked perfectly! Spice: I ordered every dish at 'medium' spice and was perfect for me. If you don't like spice, be sure to tell them that and order 'mild' spice level. All in all I will return for more curry and try more variety of dishes in other categories, including the pork belly and fried rice.

Was craving pho on a colder fall day and stopped in to Haven. So glad we did. Food comes out fast, hot and flavorful. Comfortable and casual dining experience. Would come back again soon!

    Beef Pad Thai

I tried this on a whim on a Tuesday night and it was absolutely delicious! The young server was polite, prompt, and made sure we had everything we need. We tried the beef pad Thai (absolutely delicious and SO saucy which I love!), Tom Kha Gai, pork spring rolls (crispy and delicious) and cream cheese puffs (slightly overcooked). Although the atmosphere lacked vibrancy or people, the food, especially the pad Thai and spring rolls, were absolutely delicious. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot for Thai food!

Food not bad but the place needs a makeover. We've eaten there twice and my husband likes the pad tai.

Server took our drinks order pretty quickly and we were also able to order our food quickly as well. The restaurant is spacious and you don't feel like you are packed in there with other guests. Sometimes with grilling restaurants, the table can get small. Felt like there was good enough room and didn't feel like I'd knock over my wine or food. We got the silver set and an order of scallops and we had leftovers! Plenty of food for two people. The scallops were huge and meats were quality. Pretty clean, not a lot of marinade so if you like more salty/ flavor, dip in a lot of sauce. It's a good option if you like to cook your own food due to quality of meats provided. Would recommend ordering à la carte once you know what you like. The combo set is a good sampler to get a variety to taste

Staff are learned about the food if you have questions. We come here for the Steak & Chips and Cherry Curry. The Steak & Chips are the best we've had in the TC, known as Beef & Potatoes in Vietnamese restaurants. The Cherry Curry is the only one of its kind - a Thai red curry with dried cherries. Other dishes we ordered were the Calamari , Papaya salad & Sassy Basil. The calamari was nice & crispy. Papaya salad was Thai style so not pungent and the Sassy Basil had great flavor. We also had some Fried Rice. We will come back for sure.

Reservations can be made, but they don't have an online system for doing that, and don't take reservations until 4 pm. Also, with their busy take out orders, getting through on the phone is a point of friction they would do well to fix. That aside, the restaurant is very pleasant esthetically with colorful lights, window sunshine and a generally upscale, but friendly vibe. Prices are reasonable and the service is unfailingly great. We had their pork eggrolls, which are crispy and satisfying. My wife had the Sesame chicken which was good, but not as good as her favorite sesame chicken at Shuang Cheng restaurant in Dinky Down. My go-to is the Chicken "Slayer" stir fry which is mushrooms, peapods, carrots, bamboo shoots, and onion with a very garlicy sauce. You can opt to have a choice of proteins (or tofu or veggie only). To me, it is consistently very good. The portions are large, but neither of our leftovers were very good reheated. It would be nice to be able to get a smaller portion.

We ordered a fried chicken sandwich, Char Siu, egg rolls and rice. The favorite was definitely the chicken. It was very crispy, thick, moist and flavorful. It was on a pretzel bun, which normally I am a fan of but I think it takes away from the flavor of the fried chicken and the gochujang sauce we got and doesn't quite make sense. To me, it seems more haha a burger bun than fried chicken. The char Siu was good, but very small pieces of meat for the big price tag. The egg rolls were delicious and we liked the way they were cut along with the dipping sauce. Overall, we would come back but I think we would focus on just getting fried chicken and apps and avoid the rest.
