Excited for some of the best Thai food you've had? But also waiting to be gaslit into thinking the atrocious service is your fault? Then this is the place for you. We have ordered from here for years. 30-40 x. Everytime is an adventure. Once they are out of rice (actually should be impossible). Another time out of chicken. 75% of the time the wait is longer than quoted. And when you show up, you're the a-hole. This past time, 15 mins after the promise time, we were told it would be 10 mins more. Reason why? "We made your order wrong. You can cancel or wait. It's your choice." When alerted we would leave we were told "pathetic". I couldn't loathe this place more if I had to, save for the fact the food is actually really good. They'd spit in your food if it made them feel better about themselves. Sad that this could be a gold mine, but I'd dragged down by incompetence and a superiority complex. read more

I had previously gotten take out from Lucky Street after dining in a few years ago, but this summer was the first time I have come for lunch and dinner. I was pleased and surprised to find out that all of their chicken is halal. Everything was delicious! I can't resist always getting satay and have had the pad kra pao and pad see ew. Though I can't speak to the sushi offerings yet, but will try in the future. Both times I have come, it hasn't been very busy, but they seem to do a good amount of takeout. The food was great, I view this as more of a takeout spot then a dining, but there is a small dining area, the ambiance is just not something that great. This is one of the higher priced Thai restaurants you can go to in the twin cities, but even though it's good, I think other places are equally as good and a decent amount less expensive. Every time we have come there has been a lack of training and the employees. The first time we asked for gluten-free dishes and received a breaded chicken dish. Now this time we attempted to use a gift card and the employee did not know how to use a gift card. He was frazzled and offered no solutions. I asked if the manager could credit it after the fact and he said yes, but then failed to take down any of my information and walked away. I wrote it all on the receipt and still never heard back. I know it's hard to get good people these days, but I do feel like it makes such a difference in the experience you have as a guest there. read more

I ordered take out. I was quoted 15 minutes but it took 35 minutes. The place was not busy at all. The egg rolls have changed and you get 2 instead of 4. The sauce was very fish sauce forward and had no peanuts. My sushi rolls were not very good. The rice was not cooked fully. The hard kernels were difficult to eat. Thai iced coffee: The iced coffee looked a little bit different from what I have had in the past. It was sweet and quite delicious, but not what I expected. Jet Tila says Thai ice coffee is black tea with hints of vanilla, cloves,. and cardamom. It had the sugar and the half-and-half, but I think it was missing a little bit of those spices. 2/5 chicken pad, Thai: Who doesn't love a pad Thai especially with chicken? This had a nice tamarind flavor and was cooked perfect. I just think that it was missing some thing on the spicy side. Chef Kenji Lopez says that pad Thai has a sweet, sour, pungent and hot flavor. Maybe the waiter forgot to bring out the hot chili oil? I decided to try somewhere new alone tonight while waiting for my daughter to finish soccer practice. I was in the mood for sushi (not shocking). It turns out Lucky Street is across the street from the practice field. It is lovely little establishment. I was warmly greeted and seated immediately. I ordered Spicy Tuna sushi, and Drunken Noodles with Beef. The sushi had a nice presentation and tasted great. It was however not spicy at all. But it was delicious, so I let it slide. The Drunken Noodles, though taking me a few bites to get used to the flavor, was delightful. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but I really look forward to going there again to try another dish. So I guess it deserves 5. read more

This is hands down the best Thai food I have encountered within a reasonable proximity to our new home in Maple Plain. The spice level is spot on without even asking. If you're getting green curry its about a comparable 4 or 4.5 out 5 spice level. Generous amount of tofu and prepared perfectly. Veggies not overcooked. Came across Lucky street while trying to find a solid takeout option - and we DEFINITELY found a winner! We ordered the veggie drunken noodles, an order of the pork egg rolls, and the green curry with chicken. The egg rolls were fantastic! Not greasy and they were so fresh and crispy and stuffed full of their ground pork filling. The drunken noodles had more veggies in it then we thought they would - but much to our surprise there was a ton of noodles so definitely balanced with the smallest hint of heat. The green curry was our favorite - there was so much of it (portion sizes are no issue and we got 4 meals out of our order easily) and it tasted so fresh and had a little kiss of spice. We really liked this new Thai / French place in Wayzata. Their menu has all the offerings you would expect from a good Thai place. Also, there is the option of a French preparation for some of the Thai dishes. We tried a few plates to share. The spring rolls are huge. We got the shrimp and pork version. Very well made and it comes with a vinegar based sauce. We also ordered the Panang curry, French style. It had less heat than a typical version but very flavorful. It comes with rice and deep fried slices of bread. I was initially skeptical of the the bread but it was really good. We didn't need it and ended up taking more than half of it home but we also ordered a vegetable stir fry, very good too. There is also a section of the menu devoted to classic French dishes, beef bourginuon, for example. Given the quality of the Thai preparations we will be back to try some of these as well. read more

Although I wish they were served with peanut sauce instead of a sort of sweet and sour sauce. I asked for a side of peanut sauce. I ate the Pad Thai. It was a standard, tasty Pad Thai. My boyfriend are the Panang Curry which was incredible; creamy and hearty without a super strong curry taste. Venue: This place is owned by the same woman who owned/owns Tiger Sushi and Lemongrass Thai. Despite it being a primarily Thai menu, they also have sushi (Japanese) and some French dishes. Lucky Street is a tasty Thai restaurant in Plymouth. They had some traditional dishes and quite a few French fusion options as well. Located in your classic Minnesotan strip mall you might be tempted to miss this place but one of my friends told me it had connections with Lemongrass in Brooklyn Park. I been eating with them since their "Tiger Sushi" days. *insert heart emoji* I always went for basic sushi and it was their Crunchy Roll that got me hooked. It's still my absolute favorite roll in the entire world (since the first time I tried it till now, that's 10+ years we're talking). That + some screaming sauce on the side = ultimate combo. It's a shame what has happened to lucky street. We have been eating here for years. For the most part the food has always been good, with interesting fusion ideas. We've had the occasional messed up dish when ordering to go, but honestly the service has gone so far downhill it's insane. The (one?!) waiter is really unreliable and will go 40 minutes without seeing someone, even when they first sit down. Your takeout order is going to be 45 minutes late, I guarantee it. I've been a customer of Lucky Street ever since they opened but have also been a long time customer of their beloved "Tiger Sushi." This is my go-to place in MN for sushi! I have just began to try their Thai menu and I will definitely be ordering again. I ordered the crunchy roll, eggrolls, chicken laab, and beef pad Thai! Definitely a few of my favorites. Can't wait to try their curry next time! I ordered a grub hub order the other night, during my order I received a phone call from Lucky Street, they informed me they were out of sticky rice but could replace it with white rice. I did that. I received my food but something looked out of place, they put your food in a brown bag, the plastic bag inside was open & not tied or tucked like they usually do. I checked the food immediately and on top my eggrolls were missing 1 and the sauce was out of the plastic bag & container. I called the restaurant to let them know, and they handled it really well. They informed me that they will pack the orders and check them off & then they'll get a call about "missing rice, missing eggroll, or other small items." She offered me a comp for next time. Terrible service and food. After waiting for our food for 30 minutes, we asked how long it would be. They then brought out two meals, but mine was the incorrect dish. Then 5 minutes later, they brought out another meal, but it was an incorrect dish again. My partner received the special, red Thai stir fry, which included soggy fried shrimp. Arrived at 4:15 to find locked doors, though they advertise a 4pm opening. After trying the door a few times, the waiter finally came into the entryway and opened up, without saying a word to us. We asked if we could just sit anywhere and he said that was fine. We immediately felt like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Food arrived quickly (though the people waiting for pre-ordered takeout were clearly waiting far longer than they'd anticipated). Our food was okay. We enjoyed the tom kha soup and veggie stir-fry, but the spring rolls were disappointing. They lacked herbs ( they were just lettuce, pork, and shrimp) and the sauce was flavorless. While we ate, the waiter played loud music and then proceeded to start a movie on the large screen in the dining area. The phone was also ringing off the hook and I'm not sure any calls were being answered. With all of the competing noises, it was not a very relaxing environment. We had to practically beg for containers for our leftovers, and apparently our request interrupted the waiter's movie-watching. I was given a takeout tray for my soup (rather than a normal soup container) and never got the bag I asked for multiple times. No idea what the problem is at this place, but the service was atrocious. We will not be returning. read more

We found this gem of a restaurant about a year ago. It has been one of our top finds in the cities in the 20 years living here! The food is great but the staff is even more amazing! Friendly, funny, and very accommodating. We have ordered items that werent even on the menu before and their response is "sure we can make that". We make the 30 minute trek here as often as we can and have yet to be disappointed. In fact, my wife and I just left there on what has to be the busiest night they have seen. They were beyond swamped but the food quality never went down and the smiles never left the servers' faces. It was one of the most enjoyable nights at a restaurant we have ever had! We were big fans of Tiger Sushi so when their location closed and their team opened Lucky Street we made the 50 mile trek across town to give it a try - they didn't disappoint. They just opened and are still finding their groove (as some of their reviews mention bumps in the road) but the small wait was worth it. We tried the Beef Pad Thai, Philly Roll (has always been a favorite) and one of the new menu items called Momma Don't Cry which was quite the unique but excellent flavor combination. They were all wonderful I strongly recommend Lucky Street. We will be back. read more
